John 17:13-24

¹³Now I'm coming to you, and I say these things while I am still here in the world so they may share completely in my joy.

¹⁴I gave them your message, and the world hated them because they are not of the world, just as I'm not of the world.

¹⁵I'm not asking you to take them out of the world, but for you to protect them from the evil one.

¹⁶They are not of the world, just as I'm not of the world.

¹⁷Make them holy by the truth; your word is truth.

¹⁸Just as you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.

¹⁹I dedicate myself for them so that they may also be truly holy.

²⁰I'm not only praying for them, I'm also praying for those who trust in me because of their message.

²¹I pray that they all may be one, just as you, Father, live in me, and I live in you, so that they too may live in us so that the world will believe you did send me.

²²I have given them the glory that you gave me, so that they may be one, just as we are one.

²³I live in them, and you live in me. May they be completely one, so the whole world will know that you did send me, and that you love them, just as you love me.

²⁴Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, so they can see the glory which you gave to me—for you loved me before the world was created.
