41And we indeed justly; for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man hath done nothing amiss.
42And he said, Jesus, remember me when thou comest in thy kingdom.
43And he said to him, Truly do I say to thee, Today shalt thou be with me in Paradise.
44And it was now about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour,
45the sun having failed; and the veil of the temple was rent in two.
46And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit! And having said this, he expired.
47And the centurion, seeing what was done, gave glory to God, saying, Surely this was a righteous man.
48And all the multitudes that had come together to that sight, when they had seen the things which were done, returned, beating their breasts.
49And all his acquaintances stood at a distance, and women that came with him from Galilee, beholding these things.
50And lo! a man named Joseph, of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews, being a councilor, and a good and righteous man,
51who was not consenting to their purpose and deed, and was waiting for the kingdom of God,—
52this man went to Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus.
