² And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came upon him.

³ And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor saith, And the man whose eye was closed saith;

⁴ He saith, who heareth the words of God, Who seeth the vision of the Almighty, Falling down, and having his eyes open:

² And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and sees Israel encamped by their tribes; and the Spirit of God came upon him.

³ And he took up his parable and said, Balaam son of Beor says, the man who sees truly says,

⁴ he says who hears the oracle of the Mighty One, who saw a vision of God in sleep; his eyes were opened:

² And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.

³ And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:

⁴ He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

² And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.

² He saw the Israeli people camped there in their tents, with each tribe gathered in its own group. Then the Spirit of God took control of him,

³ and enabled him to give this prophetic message to Balak: “I, Balaam, the son of Beor, am giving this prophecy; I am speaking as a man who sees what will happen in the future clearly speaks.

⁴ I hear this message from God; I see a vision from him who is all-powerful. My eyes are open as I prostrate myself in front of him.

² And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and sees Israel encamped by their tribes; and the Spirit of God came upon him.

³ And he took up his parable and said, Balaam son of Beor says, the man who sees truly says,

⁴ he says who hears the oracle of the Mighty One, who saw a vision of God in sleep; his eyes were opened:

² And lifting up his eyes, he saw Israel there, with their tents in the order of their tribes: and the spirit of God came on him.

³ And moved by the spirit, he said, These are the words of Balaam, son of Beor, the words of the man whose eyes are open:

⁴ He says, whose ears are open to the words of God, who has seen the vision of the Ruler of all, falling down, but having his eyes open:

² And Balaam lifted up his eyes and saw Israel dwelling in tents according to his tribes; and the Spirit of God came upon him.

³ And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor saith, and the man of opened eye saith,

⁴ He saith, who heareth the words of God, who seeth the vision of the Almighty, who falleth down, and who hath his eyes open:

² And lifting up his eyes, he saw Israel abiding in their tents by their tribes: and the spirit of God rushing upon him,

³ He took up his parable and said: Balaam the son of Beor hath said: The man hath said, whose eye ire stopped up:

⁴ The hearer of the words of God hath said, he that hath beheld the vision of the Almighty, he that falleth, and so his eyes are opened:

² and as he looked at Israel camped there according to their respective tribes, the Spirit of God came on him.

³ He gave a declaration, saying:

⁴ “This is the prophecy of Balaam, son of Beor, the prophecy of a man who sees with eyes are wide open, the prophecy of one who hears the words of God, who sees the vision given by Almighty, who bows down in respect with open eyes.

² And Balaam lift vp his eyes, and looked vpon Israel, which dwelt according to their tribes, and the Spirit of God came vpon him.

³ And he vttered his parable, and sayd, Balaam the sonne of Beor hath sayde, and the man, whose eyes were shut vp, hath sayd,

⁴ He hath sayde, which heard the wordes of God, and sawe the vision of the Almightie, and falling in a traunce had his eyes opened:

² And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling tribe by tribe; and the spirit of God came upon him.

³ And he took up his parable, and said: The saying of Balaam the son of Beor, and the saying of the man whose eye is opened;

⁴ The saying of him who heareth the words of God, who seeth the vision of the Almighty, fallen down, yet with opened eyes:

² And Balaam lift up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.

³ And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, And the man whose eyes are open hath said:

⁴ He hath said, which heard the words of God, Which saw the vision of the Almighty, Falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

² And Bil'am lifted up his eyes, and when he saw Israel encamped according to their tribes, there came upon him the spirit of God.

³ And he took up his parable, and said, Thus saith Bil'am the son of Beor, and thus saith the man whose eyes are open;

⁴ Thus saith he who heareth the sayings of God, who seeth the vision of the Almighty, falling down, with unvailed eyes:

² And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and sees Israel encamped by their tribes; and the Spirit of God came upon him.

³ And he took up his parable and said, Balaam son of Beor says, The man who sees truly says,

⁴ He says who hears the oracle of the Mighty One, Who saw a vision of God in sleep; His eyes were opened:

² And Bileam lifted up his eyes, and beheld Israel dwelling by his tribes; and the Spirit of prophecy rested upon him from before the Lord.

³ And he took up his parable, and said: Bileam, the son of Beor, hath said, The man who saw the Beautiful hath said,

⁴ he hath said who heard the Word from before God, Who saw the vision of the Almighty, prostrate when he saw:

² Balaam Not people, Destroyer of people lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel God prevails dwelling according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came on him.

³ He took up his parable, and said, “Balaam Not people, Destroyer of people the son of Beor says, the man whose eyes are open says;

⁴ he says, who sh'ma ·hears obeys· the words of God, who sees the vision of Shaddai Almighty, falling down, and having his eyes open:

² He raised his eyes and saw that Israel was camped, each in their own tribe, and the Spirit of God came on him.

³ He received this prophecy and said, “Balaam son of Beor is about to speak, the man whose eyes are wide open.

⁴ He speaks and hears God's words. He sees a vision from the Almighty, Before whom he bows down with his eyes open.

² Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came on him.

³ He took up his parable, and said, “Balaam the son of Beor says, the man whose eyes are open says;

² and he raised up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling in tents by his lineages. And when the Spirit of God fell upon him,

³ and when the parable was taken, he said, Balaam, the son of Beor, said, a man, whose eye is stopped, said,

⁴ the hearer of God’s words said, which beheld the revelation of Almighty God, which falleth down, and his eyes be opened so,

² and he raised up his eyes, and he saw Israel dwelling in tents by his lineages, (or and he raised up his eyes, and he saw the Israelites living in their tents, tribe by tribe). And when the Spirit of God fell upon him,

³ and when the parable was taken (or and when he had received his prophecy), he said, Balaam, the son of Beor, said, (yea), a man, whose eye is stopped, said,

⁴ the hearer of God’s words said, which beheld the revelation of Almighty God, which falleth down, and his eyes be opened so, (yea, the hearer of God’s words said, who beheld the revelation of Almighty God, and who falleth down, but his eyes still be open,)

² and reiside iyen, and siy Israel dwellynge in tentis bi hise lynagis. And whanne the Spirit of God felde on hym, and whanne a parable was takun,

³ he seide, Balaam, the sone of Beor, seide, a man whois iye is stoppid seide,

⁴ the herere of Goddis wordis seide, which bihelde the reuelacioun of almyyti God, which fallith doun, and hise iyen ben openyd so, Hou faire ben thi tabernaclis,

² and Balaam lifteth up his eyes, and seeth Israel tabernacling, by its tribes, and the Spirit of God is upon him,

³ and he taketh up his simile, and saith: 'An affirmation of Balaam son of Beor — And an affirmation of the man whose eyes are shut —

⁴ An affirmation of him who is hearing sayings of God — Who a vision of the Almighty seeth, Falling — and eyes uncovered:
