⁵ And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.

⁶ And he commandeth the multitude to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and having given thanks, he brake, and gave to his disciples, to set before them; and they set them before the multitude.

⁷ And they had a few small fishes: and having blessed them, he commanded to set these also before them.

⁸ And they ate, and were filled: and they took up, of broken pieces that remained over, seven baskets.

⁹ And they were about four thousand: and he sent them away.

¹⁰ And straightway he entered into the boat with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.

¹¹ And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, trying him.

¹² And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

¹³ And he left them, and again entering into the boat departed to the other side.

¹⁴ And they forgot to take bread; and they had not in the boat with them more than one loaf.

¹⁵ And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.

¹⁶ And they reasoned one with another, saying, We have no bread.

¹⁷ And Jesus perceiving it saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? do ye not yet perceive, neither understand? have ye your heart hardened?

⁵ Jesus asked them, “How many loaves of bread do you have?” They replied, “ We have seven flat loaves.”

⁶ Jesus commanded the crowd, “Sit down on the ground!” After they sat down, he took the seven loaves, he thanked God for them, he broke them into pieces and started giving them to his disciples in order that they might distribute them to the people.

⁷ They found that they also had a few small dried fish. So after he thanked God for these, he told the disciples, “Distribute these also.” After they distributed the bread and fish to the crowd,

⁸ the people ate this food and they had plenty to satisfy them. The disciples collected the pieces of food that were left over. They filled seven large baskets full of those pieces.

⁹ They estimated that there were about four thousand people who ate on that day.

¹⁰ Then Jesus dismissed the crowd. Immediately after that, he got into the boat along with his disciples, and they went around Lake Galilee to Dalmanutha district.

¹¹ In those days some Pharisees came to Jesus. They asked him to perform a miracle that would show that God had sent him. They wanted to find a way by which they could convince the people to reject him. So they started to argue with him.

¹² Jesus sighed quietly to himself, and then he said, “I am disgusted that RHQ, even though you people have seen how I have healed people, you keep asking me to perform miracles! Note this: Such a miracle will certainly not be shown {I will certainly not show such a miracle} just for you people!”

¹³ Then he left them. He got into the boat again, along with his disciples, and they went further around Lake Galilee.

¹⁴ The disciples had forgotten to bring along enough food. Specifically, they had only one flat loaf of bread with them in the boat.

¹⁵ As they were going, Jesus warned them against the attitudes the Pharisees and Herod Antipas had, attitudes that were having a bad effect on other people. He did this by telling them a parable. He said, “Be careful! Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod!”

¹⁶ The disciples misunderstood him. So they said to one another, “ He must have said that because we have no bread.”

¹⁷ Jesus knew what they were discussing among themselves. So he said to them, “◄ I am disappointed that you are discussing about your not having enough bread!/Why are you discussing about your not having enough bread?► RHQ ◄You should understand by now that I can provide miraculously for you if you need food!/Why do you not yet perceive or understand that I can provide miraculously for you if you need food?► RHQ ◄You are not thinking!/Why are you not thinking?► RHQ

⁸ And they took the food, and had enough; and they took up seven baskets full of the broken bits.

⁹ And there were about four thousand people: and he sent them away.

¹⁰ And he got into the boat with his disciples straight away, and came into the country of Dalmanutha.

¹¹ And the Pharisees came out and put questions to him, requesting from him a sign from heaven, testing him.

¹² And he was very sad in spirit, and said, Why is this generation looking for a sign? truly, I say to you, No sign will be given to this generation.

¹³ And he went away from them, and again got into the boat and went across to the other side.

¹⁴ And they had taken no thought to get bread; and they had only one cake of bread with them in the boat.

¹⁵ And he said to them, Take care to be on the watch against the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.

¹⁶ And they said to one another, We have no bread.

¹⁷ And Jesus, hearing it, said to them, Why are you reasoning among yourselves because you have no bread? do you still not see, and is it still not clear to you? are your hearts so hard?

⁵ And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.

⁶ And he commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground. And having taken the seven loaves, he gave thanks, and broke them and gave them to his disciples, that they might set them before them; and they set them before the crowd.

¹² And groaning in his spirit, he says, Why does this generation seek a sign? Verily I say unto you, A sign shall in no wise be given to this generation.

¹³ And he left them, and going again on board ship, went away to the other side.

¹⁴ And they forgot to take bread, and save one loaf, they had not any with them in the ship.

¹⁵ And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the leaven of Herod.

¹⁴ And they forgot to take bread; and they had but one loaf with them in the ship.

¹⁵ And he charged them, saying: Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.

¹⁶ And they reasoned among themselves, saying: Because we have no bread.

¹⁷ Which Jesus knowing, saith to them: Why do you reason, because you have no bread? do you not yet know nor understand? have you still your heart blinded?

¹² And sighing deeply in His spirit, He said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Assuredly I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation.”

¹³ And having dismissed them, and stepping into the boat again, He went away to the other side.

¹⁴ And they forgot to take bread, and except for one loaf, they did not have any with themselves in the boat.

¹⁵ Then He charged them, saying, “Look out, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.”

¹⁶ And they were reasoning among themselves, saying, “Because we have no bread.”

¹⁷ But Jesus, knowing about it, said to them, “Why are you reasoning because you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive or understand? Is your heart still hardened?

⁵ He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven.”

⁶ So He told the crowd to sit down on the ground; then taking the seven loaves and giving thanks, He broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before the crowd, and they did.

¹² But He sighed deeply in His spirit and said: “Why does this generation seek a sign? I tell you emphatically, no sign shall be given to this generation!”

¹³ Turning His back on them, He got back into the boat and went off to the other side.

¹⁴ (His disciples had forgotten to take bread; they did not have more than one loaf with them in the boat.)

¹⁵ And He charged them, saying, “Watch out; beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.”

¹⁶ So they started reasoning among themselves, saying, “It's because we have no bread.”

¹⁷ Being aware of it Jesus said to them: “Why are you reasoning because you have no bread? Do you still neither perceive nor understand? Do you still have hearts that have been hardened?

⁵ “How many loaves do you have?” he asked. “Seven,” they replied.

⁶ He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves of bread, and gave thanks. He broke the bread and handed the pieces to his disciples to give to the crowd.

⁷ They had a few fish as well, so having blessed them, he said, “Take these and share them too.”

⁸ They ate until they were full, and then collected up seven baskets of leftovers.

⁹ There were four thousand people there. After sending them on their way,

¹⁰ Jesus climbed into a boat with his disciples and went to the region of Dalmanutha.

¹¹ The Pharisees arrived and began to argue with him, wanting him to give them a miraculous sign from heaven, trying to get him to prove himself.

¹² Jesus sighed deeply, and asked, “Why do you people want a sign? I tell you the truth: I will not give you a sign.”

¹³ So he left them behind, climbed into the boat, and went back across the lake.

¹⁴ But the disciples had forgotten to bring bread with them. All they had in the boat was one loaf.

¹⁵ “Watch out—beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and of Herod!” he warned them.

¹⁶ “He's saying that because we don't have any bread,” they concluded.

¹⁷ Jesus knew what they were saying, and said, “Why are you talking about not having any bread? Are you still not thinking and not understanding? Have you closed your minds?

⁵ And hee asked them, Howe many loaues haue ye? And they said, Seuen.

⁶ Then he commanded the multitude to sit downe on the grounde: and hee tooke the seuen loaues, and gaue thankes, brake them, and gaue to his disciples to set before them, and they did set them before the people.

⁷ They had also a few small fishes: and when he had giuen thankes, he commanded them also to be set before them.

⁸ So they did eate, and were sufficed, and they tooke vp of the broken meate that was left, seuen baskets full.

⁹ (And they that had eaten, were about foure thousand) so he sent them away.

¹⁰ And anon he entred into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha.

¹¹ And the Pharises came foorth, and began to dispute with him, seeking of him a signe from heauen, and tempting him.

¹² Then hee sighed deepely in his spirit, and saide, Why doeth this generation seeke a signe? Verely I say vnto you, a signe shall not be giuen vnto this generation.

¹³ So he left them, and went into the ship againe, and departed to the other side.

¹⁴ And they had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the shippe with them, but one loafe.

¹⁵ And he charged them, saying, Take heede, and beware of the leauen of the Pharises, and of the leauen of Herod.

¹⁶ And they reasoned among themselues, saying, It is, because we haue no bread.

¹⁷ And when Iesus knew it, he said vnto them, Why reason you thus, because ye haue no bread? perceiue ye not yet, neither vnderstande? haue ye your hearts yet hardened?

⁵ Jesus asked them, “How many dampers do you have?” They replied, “7 small dampers.”

⁶ They also had a few small fish. Jesus said to them, “Tell them to sit on the ground.” After that he picked up the dampers, the fish also, he said to God, “You are the one who gave us this food. Thank you! You have helped us! You are good!” Then he broke the dampers into pieces, he gave them to his men, he gave them the fish also, the said to them, “Give this food and meat to them.” That's what they did.

⁸ At that time very many people ate, 4,000 men ate till they were full. Then Jesus told them, “Yes, off you go to your own countries.” After that Jesus' men picked up the leftovers, they filled 7 big carrying dishes with leftovers.

¹⁰ After that Jesus got into the dinghy, his men also, they went to that country Dalmanutha.

⁵ And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.

⁶ And he ordered the multitude to lie down on the ground; and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and broke, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they set them before the multitude.

⁷ And they had a few small fishes; and having blessed them, he set them before them.

⁶ Jesus told the crowd to sit down on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves, and, after saying the thanksgiving, broke them, and gave them to his disciples to serve out; and they served them out to the crowd.

⁸ The people had sufficient to eat, and they picked up seven baskets full of the broken pieces that were left.

⁹ There were about four thousand people. Then Jesus dismissed them.

¹⁰ Immediately afterward, getting into the boat with his disciples, Jesus went to the district of Dalmanutha.

¹¹ Here the Pharisees came out, and began to argue with Jesus, asking him for some sign from the heavens, to test him.

¹² Sighing deeply, Jesus said, “Why does this generation ask for a sign? I tell you, no sign will be given it.”

¹³ So he left them to themselves, and, getting into the boat again, went away to the opposite shore.

¹⁴ Now the disciples had forgotten to take any bread with them, one loaf being all that they had in the boat.

¹⁵ So Jesus gave them this warning. “Take care,” he said, “beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.”

¹⁶ They began talking to one another about their being short of bread;

¹⁷ and, noticing this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you talking about your being short of bread? Don't you yet see or understand? Are your minds still so slow or comprehension?

⁵ “How many loaves have you?” he asked. “Seven,” they answered.

⁶ Jesus told the crowd to sit down on the ground. Then he took the seven loaves, and, after saying the thanksgiving, broke them, and gave them to his disciples to serve out; and they served them out to the crowd.

⁷ They had also a few small fish; and, after he had said the blessing, he told the disciples to serve out these as well.

⁸ The people had sufficient to eat, and they picked up seven baskets full of the broken pieces that were left.

⁹ There were about four thousand people. Then Jesus dismissed them.

¹⁰ Immediately afterward, getting into the boat with his disciples, Jesus went to the district of Dalmanutha.

¹¹ Here the Pharisees came out, and began to argue with Jesus, asking him for some sign from the heavens, to test him.

¹² Sighing deeply, Jesus said, “Why does this generation ask for a sign? I tell you, no sign will be given it.”

¹³ So he left them to themselves, and, getting into the boat again, went away to the opposite shore.

¹⁴ Now the disciples had forgotten to take any bread with them, one loaf being all that they had in the boat.

¹⁵ So Jesus gave them this warning. “Take care,” he said, “beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.”

¹⁶ They began talking to one another about their being short of bread;

¹⁷ and, noticing this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you talking about your being short of bread? Don't you yet see or understand? Are your minds still so slow or comprehension?

⁵ He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven.”

¹⁶ They reasoned with one another, saying, “It’s because we have no bread.”

¹⁷ Yeshua Salvation, perceiving it, said to them, “Why do you reason that it’s because you have no bread? Don’t you perceive yet, neither understand? Is your heart still hardened?

⁵ Jesus said, “How much bread have you got?” The men answered, “7 loaves of bread.”

⁶ Then Jesus told the people to sit down on the ground. Then he picked up the 7 loaves and said, “Thank you God for this bread.” Then Jesus broke it up and gave it to his followers, and they gave it out to all the people.

⁷ Somebody had some small fish and gave them to Jesus, and again he said, “Thank you God for these fish.” Then Jesus gave the fish to his followers to give out to the people.

⁸ They all ate and ate until they were full. There was a lot left over. The people picked up all the bits from the ground and they filled up 7 baskets with food.

⁹ After the people finished that feed Jesus told them to go home. There were 4,000 people in that big mob that had a feed that day.

¹⁰ Straight away Jesus and his close followers got into a boat and went to a place called Dalmanutha, on the other side of the lake.

¹¹ There were some Jewish law men called Pharisees there at that place. They heard people say that Jesus was there and they came to talk to him. They wanted to trick him, so they started to argue with him. They asked him, “Can you do something special with power, to show that God sent you?”

¹² Jesus was a little bit upset. He breathed deeply and said, “You mob that are alive today always want to see something powerful before you will believe that God sent me. Listen, I’m telling you straight, I will not do anything powerful for you mob here now.”

¹³ Then Jesus and his followers walked away from those Pharisees and got into a boat and went across to the other side of the lake.

¹⁴ But Jesus’s followers didn’t buy any food at Dalmanutha. They forgot to do it. Then, in the boat half way across the lake, they remembered about it. They looked into their food bag and saw that they only had one loaf of bread.

¹⁵ Jesus talked to his followers. He said, “You know that we put that yeast into flour to make it rise up, to make it into bread. Well, I’m telling you this, stay away from the yeast that comes from those Pharisee law men, and stay away from the yeast that comes from the big boss called King Herod.”

¹⁶ The men didn’t understand what Jesus meant, and they started to talk to each other about it. They said, “We didn’t get enough bread for the trip, so now he’s growling at us.”

¹⁷ Jesus knew what they said to each other, and he said, “Why are you mob arguing about bread? You still haven’t learned about me. You don’t understand me. Maybe your minds are closed.

⁵ And he axed them: how many loves have ye? They sayde: seven.

⁶ And he commaunded the people to syt doune on the grounde. And he toke the .vii. loves gave thankes brake and gave to his disciples to set before them. And they dyd set the before the people.

⁹ And they that ate were in nomber aboute fowre thousand. And he sent them awaye.

¹⁰ And a none he entred into a ship with his disciples and came into the parties of Dalmanutha.

¹¹ And the pharises cam forth and begane to dispute with him sekinge of him a signe from heven and temptinge him.

¹² And he sygthed in his sprete and sayde: why doth this generacion seke a signe? Verely I saye vnto you ther shall no signe be geven vnto this generacion.

¹³ And he lefte the and went into the ship agayne and departed over the water.

¹⁴ And they had forgotten to take breed with the nether had they in the ship with them more then one loofe.

¹⁵ And he charged the sayinge. Take hede and beware of the leven of the pharises and of the leve of Herode.

¹⁶ And they reasoned amonge the selves sayinge: we have no breed

¹⁷ And when Iesus knewe that he sayde vnto the: why take ye thought because ye have no bread perceave ye not yet nether vnderstonde? Have ye youre hertes yet blynded?

¹⁷ Jesus was aware of this, and he said to them, “Why are you reasoning about not having bread? Do you not yet perceive? Do you not understand? Have your hearts become so dull?

¹² And he sorrowing within in spirit, said, What seeketh this generation a token, or a sign, either miracle? Truly I say to you, a token or a sign shall not be given to this generation.

¹³ And he left them, and went up again into a boat, and went over the sea.

¹⁴ And they forgot to take bread, and they had not with them but one loaf in the boat.

¹⁵ And he commanded to them, and said, See ye, and beware of the sourdough of the Pharisees, and of the sourdough of Herod.

¹⁶ And they thought, and said one to another, For we have not loaves or bread.

¹⁷ And when this thing was known, Jesus said to them, What think ye, for ye have not loaves? or bread? Yet ye know not, neither understand; yet ye have your heart blinded.

⁵ And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? Which said, Seven.

¹⁰ And anon (or at once) he went up into a boat, with his disciples, and came into the coasts of Dalmanutha.

¹¹ And the Pharisees went out, and began to dispute with him, and asked a token of him from heaven, and tempted him. (And the Pharisees went out, and began to argue with him, and asked him for a sign from heaven, and tested him.)

¹² And he sorrowing within in spirit, said, What seeketh this generation a token, or a sign, either (a) miracle? Truly I say to you, a token or a sign shall not be given to this generation. (And he sorrowing within himself, said, Why seeketh this generation a sign? I tell you the truth, a sign shall not be given to this generation.)

¹³ And he left them, and went up again into a boat, and went over the sea (or and went over the lake).

¹⁴ And they forgot to take bread, and they had not with them no but one loaf in the boat.

¹⁵ And he commanded to them, and said, See ye, and beware of the sourdough of the Pharisees, and of the sourdough of Herod. (And he said to them, Watch out, and beware of the yeast, or the leaven, of the Pharisees, and of the yeast, or the leaven, of Herod.)

¹⁶ And they thought, and said one to another, For we have not (brought any) loaves or For we have not (brought any) bread.

¹⁷ And when this thing was known, Jesus said to them, What think ye, for ye have not loaves? (or Why do ye think about, or talk about, not having any bread?) Yet ye know not, neither understand; yet ye have your heart(s) blinded.

⁵ And he axide hem, Hou many looues han ye?

⁶ Whiche seiden, Seuene. And he comaundide the puple to sitte doun on the erthe. And he took the seuene looues, and dide thankyngis, and brak, and yaf to hise disciplis, that thei schulden sette forth. And thei settiden forth to the puple.

⁷ And thei hadden a few smale fischis; and he blesside hem, and comaundide, that thei weren sette forth.

⁸ And thei eten, and weren fulfillid; and thei token vp that that lefte of relifs, seuene lepis.

⁹ And thei that eeten, weren as foure thousynde of men; and he lefte hem.

¹⁰ And anoon he wente vp in to a boot, with hise disciplis, and cam in to the coostis of Dalmamytha.

¹¹ And the Farisees wenten out, and bigunnen to dispuyte with hym, and axiden a tokne of hym fro heuene, and temptiden hym.

¹² And he sorewynge `with ynne in spirit, seide, What sekith this generacioun a tokne? Treuli Y seie to you, a tokene schal not be youun to this generacioun.

¹³ And he lefte hem, and wente vp eftsoone in to a boot, and wente ouer the see.

¹⁴ And thei foryaten to take breed, and thei hadden not with hem but o loof in the boot.

¹⁵ And he comaundide hem, and seide, Se ye, and `be war of the sowre dowy of Farisees, and of the sowrdowy of Eroude.

¹⁶ And thei thouyten, and seiden oon to anothir, For we han not looues.

¹⁷ And whanne this thing was knowun, Jhesus seide to hem, What thenken ye, for ye han not looues? Yit ye knowun not, ne vndurstonden; yit ye han youre herte blyndid.

⁵ And he was questioning them, 'How many loaves have ye?' and they said, 'Seven.'

⁶ And he commanded the multitude to sit down upon the ground, and having taken the seven loaves, having given thanks, he brake, and was giving to his disciples that they may set before them; and they did set before the multitude.

⁹ and those eating were about four thousand. And he let them away,

¹¹ and the Pharisees came forth, and began to dispute with him, seeking from him a sign from the heaven, tempting him;

¹² and having sighed deeply in his spirit, he saith, 'Why doth this generation seek after a sign? Verily I say to you, no sign shall be given to this generation.'

¹³ And having left them, having entered again into the boat, he went away to the other side;

¹⁴ and they forgot to take loaves, and except one loaf they had nothing with them in the boat,

¹⁵ and he was charging them, saying, 'Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod,'

¹⁶ and they were reasoning with one another, saying — 'Because we have no loaves.'

¹⁷ And Jesus having known, saith to them, 'Why do ye reason, because ye have no loaves? do ye not yet perceive, nor understand, yet have ye your heart hardened?
