Mark 8:5-17

⁵And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.

⁶And he ordered the multitude to lie down on the ground; and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and broke, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they set them before the multitude.

⁷And they had a few small fishes; and having blessed them, he set them before them.

⁸And they ate, and were filled; and they took up of the fragments that remained, seven baskets.

⁹And they were about four thousand; and he sent them away.

¹⁰And immediately going on board the boat with his disciples, he came into the region of Dalmanutha.

¹¹And the Pharisees came out, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, trying him.

¹²And sighing deeply in his spirit, he saith, Why doth this generation seek for a sign? Truly do I say to you, A sign will not he given to this generation.

¹³And leaving them, he again went on board and crossed to the other side.

¹⁴And they had forgotten to take bread, and had not in the boat with them more than one loaf.

¹⁵And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and the leaven of Herod.

¹⁶And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.

¹⁷And knowing it, he saith to them, Why are ye reasoning, because ye have no bread? Do ye not yet perceive nor understand? Have ye your mind still blinded?
