John 15:23-27 in English

²³ He that hateth me hateth my Father also.

²⁴ If I had not done among them the works which none other did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

²⁵ But this cometh to pass, that the word may be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

²⁶ But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall bear witness of me:

²⁷ and ye also bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

²³ Whoever hates me also hates my Father.

²⁴ If I hadn’t done the works which no one else did among them, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both me and my Father.

²⁵ This was to fulfill the word that is written in their Law, ‘They hated me without a cause.’

²⁶ When the Counselor comes, who I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of me.

²⁷ You will also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.

²⁴ If I had not done among them the miracles that no one else ever did, they would not be guilty of the sin of rejecting me. But now, although they have seen those miracles, they have hated both me and my Father.

²⁵ But this has happened in order that these words that have been written in their Scriptures might be fulfilled {to fulfill this that ◄someone/the Psalmist► wrote in their Scriptures}: ‘They hated me for no reason.’

²⁶ Later I will send to you from my Father the one who will ◄encourage/be like a legal counsel for► you. He is the Spirit who will teach you God's truth. He will come from my Father. He will tell people about me.

²⁷ But you disciples must also tell people about me, because you have been with me from the time when I started my ministry MTY.”

²⁶ When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father even the Spirit of true knowledge who comes from the Father — he will give witness about me;

²⁷ And you, in addition, will give witness because you have been with me from the first.

²³ He that hates me hates also my Father.

²⁶ “Now when the Enabler comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of the Truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify concerning me.

²⁷ And you also will testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.

²³ Anyone who hates me hates my Father as well.

²⁴ If I had not given them such a demonstration through things that no one had ever done before, they wouldn't be guilty of sin, but despite seeing all this they hated both me and my Father.

²⁵ But this just fulfilled what Scripture says, ‘They hated me for no reason at all.’

²⁶ But I will send you the Comforter from the Father. When he comes, he will give evidence about me. He is the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father.

²⁷ You will also give evidence about me because you were with me from the beginning.

²³ He that hateth me, hateth my Father also.

²⁴ If I had not done workes among them which none other man did, they had not had sinne: but nowe haue they both seene, and haue hated both me, and my Father.

²⁵ But it is that the worde might be fulfilled, that is written in their Lawe, They hated me without a cause.

²⁶ But when that Comforter shall come, whom I will send vnto you from the Father, euen the Spirit of trueth, which proceedeth of the Father, he shall testifie of me.

²⁷ And ye shall witnesse also, because ye haue bene with me from the beginning.

²³ He that hateth me hateth my Father also.

²⁶ “When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from haAbba ·the Father·, haRuach the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from haAbba ·the Father·, he will testify about me.

²⁷ You will also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.

²⁴ If I had not done workes amonge the which none other man dyd they had not had synne. But now have they sene and yet have hated bothe me and my father:

²⁵ even that the sayinge myght be fulfilled that is written in theyr lawe: they hated me wtout a cause.

²⁶ But when the comforter is come whom I will sende vnto you from the father which is the sprete of truthe which proceadeth of the father he shall testifie of me.

²⁷ And ye shall beare witnes also because ye have bene with me from the begynninge.

²⁶ But when the Comforter shall come, which I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, which cometh forth or proceedeth of the Father, he shall bear witnessing of me; (But when the Comforter shall come, whom I shall send to you from the Father, yea the Spirit of Truth, who cometh forth from the Father, he shall testify about me;)

²⁷ and ye shall bear witnessing (or ye shall testify), for ye be with me from the beginning.

²³ He that hatith me, hatith also my fadir.

²⁴ If Y hadde not doon werkis in hem, whiche noon other man dide, thei schulden not haue synne; but now both thei han seyn, and hatid me and my fadir.

²⁵ But that the word be fulfillid, that is writun in her lawe, For thei hadden me in hate with outen cause.

²⁶ But whanne the coumfortour schal come, which Y schal sende to you fro the fadir, a spirit of treuthe, which cometh of the fadir, he schal bere witnessyng of me;

²⁷ and ye schulen bere witnessyng, for ye ben with me fro the bigynnyng.

²³ 'He who is hating me, doth hate also my Father;

²⁴ if I did not do among them the works that no other hath done, they were not having sin, and now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father;

²⁵ but — that the word may be fulfilled that was written in their law — They hated me without a cause.

²⁶ 'And when the Comforter may come, whom I will send to you from the Father — the Spirit of truth, who from the Father doth come forth, he will testify of me;

²⁷ and ye also do testify, because from the beginning ye are with me.
