Proverbs 29:15-18 in English

¹⁵ The rod and reproof give wisdom; But a child left to himself causeth shame to his mother.

¹⁶ When the wicked are increased, transgression increaseth; But the righteous shall look upon their fall.

¹⁷ Correct thy son, and he will give thee rest; Yea, he will give delight unto thy soul.

¹⁸ Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

¹⁵ Stripes and reproofs give wisdom: but an erring child disgraces his parents.

¹⁶ When the ungodly abound, sins abound: but when they fall, the righteous are warned.

¹⁷ Chasten thy son, and he shall give thee rest; and he shall give honour to thy soul.

¹⁶ When wicked people rule, there are more crimes committed {people commit more crimes}, but some day those wicked people will ◄be defeated/no longer rule►, and righteous people will see that happen.

¹⁷ If you discipline your children, they will no longer do things that will cause you to be worried; instead, they will do things that will delight you SYN.

¹⁸ When the people of a nation do not receive messages that come directly from God, they do not control their behavior. God is pleased with those who obey his laws.

¹⁸ When prophecy faileth, the people shall be destroyed; but he that keepeth the law, is blessed.

¹⁶ Great trespasses shall be multiplied in the multiplying of wicked men; and just men shall see the fallings of them. (Great trespasses shall be multiplied when the wicked rule; but the righteous shall see the falling of them.)

¹⁷ Teach thy son, and he shall comfort thee (or and he shall be a comfort to thee); and he shall give delights to thy soul.

¹⁸ When prophecy faileth, the people shall be destroyed; but he that keepeth the law, is blessed, (or but he who obeyeth the Law, is blessed).

¹⁸ Without a Vision is a people made naked, And whoso is keeping the law, O his happiness!
