²⁴ For riches are not for ever; And doth the crown endure unto all generations?

²⁵ The hay is carried, and the tender grass showeth itself, And the herbs of the mountains are gathered in.

²⁶ The lambs are for thy clothing, And the goats are the price of the field;

²⁷ And there will be goats’ milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, And maintenance for thy maidens.

²⁴ For a man has not strength and power for ever; neither does he transmit it from generation to generation.

²⁵ Take care of the herbage in the field, and thou shalt cut grass, and gather the mountain hay;

²⁶ that thou mayest have wool of sheep for clothing: pay attention to the land, that thou mayest have lambs.

²⁷ My son, thou hast from me words very useful for thy life, and for the life of thy servants.

²⁶ you will be able to shear the sheep and make clothes from the wool, and you will get money from selling some of the goats to buy more land,

²⁷ and you will get enough milk from the other goats for you and your family and your female servants.

²⁷ Let the milk of the goats be enough for thy food, and for the necessities of thy house, and for maintenance for thy handmaids.

²⁴ for wealth doesn't last forever—is a crown passed down through all generations?

²⁵ Once the hay is cut, and the new growth begins, and fodder from the mountains is gathered,

²⁶ and the lambs have provided you wool to make clothing, and the sale of goats have paid for a field,

²⁷ there'll be enough milk from your goats to feed you, your family, and your servant girls.

²⁴ For riches remaine not alway, nor the crowne from generation to generation.

²⁵ The hey discouereth it selfe, and the grasse appeareth, and the herbes of the mountaines are gathered.

²⁶ The lambes are for thy clothing, and the goates are the price of the fielde.

²⁷ And let the milke of the goates be sufficient for thy foode, for the foode of thy familie, and for the sustenance of thy maydes.

²⁵ Meadows be opened, and green herbs appeared; and hay is gathered from the hills (or and the grass is gathered from the hills).

²⁶ Lambs be to thy clothing; and kids be to the price of the field. (Lambs be for thy clothing; and goat kids be worth the price of a field.)

²⁷ The milk of goats suffice to thee for thy meats; into the necessary things of thine house, and to lifelode of thine handmaidens. (Goats? milk suffice for thee for thy food; yea, for the necessities of thy house, and for the sustenance of thy handmaids, or of thy servantesses.)

²⁴ For riches are not to the age, Nor a crown to generation and generation.

²⁵ Revealed was the hay, and seen the tender grass, And gathered the herbs of mountains.

²⁶ Lambs are for thy clothing, And the price of the field are he-goats,

²⁷ And a sufficiency of goats' milk is for thy bread, For bread to thy house, and life to thy damsels!
