²⁷ And if one person sin unwittingly, then he shall offer a she-goat a year old for a sin-offering.

²⁸ And the priest shall make atonement for the soul that erreth, when he sinneth unwittingly, before Jehovah, to make atonement for him; and he shall be forgiven.

²⁹ Ye shall have one law for him that doeth aught unwittingly, for him that is home-born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.

³⁰ But the soul that doeth aught with a high hand, whether he be home-born or a sojourner, the same blasphemeth Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

³¹ Because he hath despised the word of Jehovah, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.

³² And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks upon the sabbath day.

³³ And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.

³⁴ And they put him in ward, because it had not been declared what should be done to him.

³⁵ And Jehovah said unto Moses, The man shall surely be put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.

³⁶ And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him to death with stones; as Jehovah commanded Moses.

³⁷ And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

³⁸ Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of each border a cord of blue:

³⁹ and it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of Jehovah, and do them; and that ye follow not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to play the harlot;

⁴⁰ that ye may remember and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

⁴¹ I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am Jehovah your God.

³⁰ And whatever soul either of the natives or of the strangers shall do any thing with a presumptuous hand, he will provoke God; that soul shall be cut off from his people,

³¹ for he has set at nought the word of the Lord and broken his commands: that soul shall be utterly destroyed, his sin is upon him.

³² And the children of Israel were in the wilderness, and they found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath-day.

³³ And they who found him gathering sticks on the sabbath-day brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel.

³⁴ And they placed him in custody, for they did not determine what they should do to him.

³⁵ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Let the man be by all means put to death: do ye all the congregation, stone him with stones.

³⁶ And all the congregation brought him forth out of the camp; and all the congregation stoned him with stones outside the camp, as the Lord commanded Moses.

³⁷ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

³⁸ Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt tell them; and let them make for themselves fringes upon the borders of their garments throughout their generations: and ye shall put upon the fringes of the borders a lace of blue.

³⁹ And it shall be on your fringes, and ye shall look on them, and ye shall remember all the commands of the Lord, and do them: and ye shall not turn back after your imaginations, and after the sight of your eyes in the things after which ye go a whoring;

⁴⁰ that ye may remember and perform all my commands, and ye shall be holy unto your God.

⁴¹ I am the Lord your God that brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.

²⁷ If one person commits a sin without realizing that he was sinning, that person must bring to me a female goat to be an offering to enable me to forgive that person for the sins that person has committed.

²⁸ The priest will offer it to be a sacrifice to remove the guilt of that person, and that person will be forgiven.

²⁹ You Israelis and all the foreigners who live among you must obey these same instructions.

³⁰ But those who disobey my commands ◄deliberately/because they want to►, both Israelis and the foreigany moreners who live among you, have sinned against me by doing that. So ◄they must be expelled/you must expel them► from your camp.

³¹ They have despised my commands and deliberately disobeyed them, so they must be punished for their sin by not being allowed to live among you anymore.”

³² One day, while the Israelis were in the desert, some of them saw a man who was gathering firewood on the Sabbath/rest day.

³³ Those who saw him doing that brought him to Aaron and Moses/me and the rest of the Israeli people.

³⁴ They guarded him carefully, because they did not know what to do to punish him.

³⁵ Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “The man must be executed. All of you must kill him by throwing stones at him outside the camp.”

³⁶ So they all took the man outside the camp and killed him by throwing stones at him, as Yahweh had commanded Moses/me that they should do.

³⁷ Yahweh also said to Moses/me,

³⁸ “Tell this to the Israeli people: You and all your descendants must twist threads together to make tassels, and then attach them with blue cords to the bottom edges of your clothes.

³⁹ When you look at the tassels, you will remember all the instructions that I gave to you, and you will obey them, instead of doing what you desire and as a result causing yourselves to become unacceptable to me.

⁴⁰ Seeing those tassels will help you to remember that you must obey all my commands and that you must be ◄my holy people/dedicated to me►.

⁴¹ Do not forget that I am Yahweh, your God. I am the one who brought you out of Egypt in order that you might belong to me. I am Yahweh, your God.”

²⁷ And if one person does wrong, without being conscious of it, then let him give a she-goat of the first year for a sin-offering.

²⁸ And the priest will take away the sin of the person who has done wrong, if the wrong was done unconsciously, and he will have forgiveness.

²⁹ The law in connection with wrong done unconsciously is to be the same for him who is an Israelite by birth and for the man from another country who is living among them.

³⁰ But the person who does wrong in the pride of his heart, if he is one of you or of another nation by birth, is acting without respect for the Lord, and will be cut off from his people.

³¹ Because he had no respect for the word of the Lord, and did not keep his law, that man will be cut off without mercy and his sin will be on him.

³² Now while the children of Israel were in the waste land, they saw a man who was getting sticks on the Sabbath day.

³³ And those who saw him getting sticks took him before Moses and Aaron and all the people.

³⁴ And they had him shut up, because they had no directions about what was to be done with him.

³⁵ Then the Lord said to Moses, Certainly the man is to be put to death: let him be stoned by all the people outside the tent-circle.

³⁶ So all the people took him outside the tent-circle and he was stoned to death there, as the Lord gave orders to Moses.

³⁷ And the Lord said to Moses,

³⁸ Say to the children of Israel that through all their generations they are to put on the edges of their robes an ornament of twisted threads, and in every ornament a blue cord;

³⁹ So that, looking on these ornaments, you may keep in mind the orders of the Lord and do them; and not be guided by the desires of your hearts and eyes, through which you have been untrue to me:

⁴⁰ And that you may keep in mind all my orders and do them and be holy to your God.

⁴¹ I am the Lord your God, who took you out of the land of Egypt, so that I might be your God: I am the Lord your God.

²⁷ And if one soul sin through inadvertence, then he shall present a yearling she-goat for a sin-offering.

²⁸ And the priest shall make atonement for the soul that hath done inadvertently, when he sinneth by inadvertence before Jehovah, to make atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.

²⁹ For him that is born in the land among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them — there shall be one law for you, for him who doeth anything through inadvertence.

³⁰ But the soul that doeth ought with a high hand, whether born in the land, or a stranger, he reproacheth Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

³¹ For he hath despised the word of Jehovah, and hath broken his commandment: that soul shall surely be cut off; his iniquity is upon him.

³⁶ And the whole assembly led him outside the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

³⁷ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

³⁸ Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them tassels on the corners of their garments, throughout their generations, and that they attach to the tassel of the corners a lace of blue;

³⁹ and it shall be unto you for a tassel, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of Jehovah, and do them; and that ye seek not after the lusts of your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye go a whoring;

⁴⁰ that ye may remember and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

⁴¹ I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God: I am Jehovah your God.

²⁸ And the priest shall pray for him, because he sinned ignorantly before the Lord: and he shall obtain his pardon, and it shall be forgiven him.

²⁹ The same law shall be for all that sin by ignorance, whether they be natives or strangers.

³⁰ But the soul that committeth any thing through pride, whether he be born in the land or a stranger (because he hath been rebellious against the Lord) shall be cut off from among his people:

³¹ For he hath contemned the word the Lord, and made void his precept: therefore shall he be destroyed, and shall bear his iniquity.

³² And it came to pass, when the children of Israel were in the wilderness, and had found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath day,

³³ That they brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole multitude.

³⁴ And they put him into prison, not knowing what they should do with him.

³⁵ And the Lord said to Moses: Let that man die, let all the multitude stone him without the camp.

³⁶ And when they had brought him out, they stoned him, and he died as the Lord had commanded.

³⁷ The Lord also said to Moses:

³⁸ Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt tell them I to make to themselves fringes in the corners of their garments, putting in them ribands of blue:

³⁹ That when they shall see them, they may remember all the commandments of the Lord, and not follow their own thoughts and eyes going astray after divers things,

⁴⁰ But rather being mindful of the precepts of the Lord, may do them and be holy to their God.

⁴¹ I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that I might be your God.

²⁷ In the case of an individual who sins without meaning to—they are to present a year-old female goat as a sin offering.

²⁸ The priest will make the person who sinned unintentionally right before the Lord their behalf. Once they have been made right, they will be forgiven.

²⁹ You shall apply the same law for the one who mistakenly sins to an Israelite or a foreigner living among you.

³⁰ But the person who sins in defiance, whether an Israelite or foreigner, is blaspheming the Lord. They shall be expelled from their people.

³¹ They have to be expelled, because they have treated the word of the Lord with contempt and broken his commandment. They are responsible for the consequences of their own guilt.’”

³² During the time the Israelites were wandering in the desert, a man was caught collecting firewood on the Sabbath.

³³ The people who found him collecting wood brought him before Moses, Aaron, and the rest of the Israelites.

³⁴ They placed him under guard because it wasn't clear what should happen to him.

³⁵ The Lord told Moses, “This man has to be executed. All the Israelites are to stone him outside the camp.”

³⁶ So they all took the man outside the camp and stoned him to death as the Lord had ordered Moses.

³⁷ Sometime later the Lord told Moses,

³⁸ “Tell the Israelites that for all future generations you must make tassels for the hems of your clothes and attach them with blue cord.

³⁹ When you look at these tassels you will be reminded to keep all the commandments of the Lord and not be unfaithful, following your own thoughts and desires.

⁴⁰ In this way you'll remember to keep all my commandments and you will be holy to your God. I am the Lord your God who led you out of Egypt to be your God.

⁴¹ I am the Lord your God!”

²⁷ But if any one person sinne through ignorance, then he shall bring a shee goate of a yeere olde for a sinne offring.

²⁸ And the Priest shall make an atonement for the ignorant person, when hee sinneth by ignorance before the Lord, to make reconciliation for him: and it shalbe forgiuen him.

²⁹ He that is borne among the children of Israel, and the stranger that dwelleth among them, shall haue both one lawe, who so doth sinne by ignorance.

³⁰ But the person that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be borne in the land, or a stranger, the same blasphemeth the Lord: therefore that person shalbe cut off from among his people,

³¹ Because he hath despised the worde of the Lord, and hath broken his commandement: that person shalbe vtterly cut off: his iniquitie shalbe vpon him.

³² And while the children of Israel were in the wildernesse, they found a man that gathered stickes vpon the Sabbath day.

³³ And they that found him gathering sticks, brought him vnto Moses and to Aaron, and vnto all the Congregation,

³⁴ And they put him warde: for it was not declared what should be done vnto him.

³⁵ Then the Lord said vnto Moses, This man shall dye the death: and let al the multitude stone him with stones without the hoste.

³⁶ And all the Congregation brought him without the hoste, and stoned him with stones, and he died, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

³⁷ And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

³⁸ Speake vnto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes vpon the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and put vpon the fringes of the borders a ryband of blewe silke.

³⁹ And ye shall haue the fringes, that when ye looke vpon them, ye may remember all the commandemets of the Lord, and do them: and that ye seeke not after your own heart, nor after your owne eyes, after the which ye go a whoring;

⁴⁰ That yee may remember and doe all my commandements, and bee holy vnto your God.

⁴¹ I am the Lord your God, which brought you out of the lande of Egypt, to bee your God: I am the Lord your God.

²⁸ And the priest shall make atonement for the soul that erreth, when he sinneth through error, before the LORD, to make atonement for him; and he shall be forgiven,

²⁹ both he that is home-born among the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them: ye shall have one law for him that doeth aught in error.

³⁰ But the soul that doeth aught with a high hand, whether he be home-born or a stranger, the same blasphemeth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

³¹ Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken His commandment; that soul shall utterly be cut off, his iniquity shall be upon him.

³⁹ And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye go not about after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go astray;

⁴⁰ that ye may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy unto your God.

²⁹ There shall be one law for the native among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that abides among them, whosoever shall commit a trespass unwillingly.

³⁰ And whatever soul either of the natives or of the strangers shall do anything with a presumptuous hand, he will provoke God; that soul shall be cut off from his people,

³¹ for he has set at nought the word of the Lord and broken his commands: that soul shall be utterly destroyed, his sin is upon him.

³⁹ And it shall be on your fringes, and ye shall look on them, and ye shall remember all the commands of the Lord, and do them: and ye shall not turn back after your imaginations, and after the sight of your eyes in the things after which ye go a-whoring;

⁴⁰ that ye may remember and perform all my commands, and ye shall be holy unto your God.

⁴¹ I am the Lord your God that brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.

²⁷ And if one sin ignorantly, he shall bring a female kid of the year for a sin offering;

²⁸ And the priest shall make atonement for the man who hath erred in his sin through ignorance before the Lord, to atone for him, and it shall be forgiven him.

²⁹ For the native-born of the sons of Israel, and for the sojourner who sojourneth among you, one law shall there be for you, for him who acteth in ignorance.

³⁰ But the man who doeth presumptuously, whether of the native-born, or of the sojourners, he provoketh the Lord to anger, and that man shall perish from among his people:

³¹ Because he hath despised the word of the Lord, and hath made His commandment vain, that man shall be utterly destroyed, his sin is upon him.

³² And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man stealing wood on the day of the Sabbath;

³³ And they who had found him stealing wood brought him to Mosheh and Aharon, and to all the congregation.

³⁴ And they bound him in the house of custody; for it had not been explained to them what they should do to him.

³⁵ And the Lord said unto Mosheh, The man shall be surely put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.

³⁶ And all the congregation brought him forth without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the Lord commanded Mosheh.

³⁷ And the Lord spake to Mosheh, saying:

³⁸ Speak with the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes upon the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that upon the fringes on the borders they put a ribbon of hyacinth.

³⁹ And they shall be to you for fringes, that you may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them, and not wander after the imagination of your heart, or after the sight of your eyes, after which you have gone astray.

⁴⁰ That you may remember and do all My precepts, and be saints before your God.

⁴¹ I am the Lord your God who brought you forth from the land of Mizraim to be to you Eloha: I am the Lord your God.

³⁰ “‘But the soul who does anything with a high hand, whether he is native-born or a foreigner, the same blasphemes Adonai . That soul shall be cut off from among his people.

³¹ Because he has despised Adonai ’s word, and has broken his order, that soul shall utterly be cut off. His iniquity shall be on him.’”

³³ Those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses Drawn out and Aaron Light-bringer, and to all the congregation.

³⁵ Adonai said to Moses Drawn out, “The man shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him with stones outside of the camp.”

³⁷ Adonai spoke to Moses Drawn out, saying,

³⁸ “Speak to the children of Israel God prevails, and tell them that they should make themselves fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put on the fringe of each border a cord of blue:

³⁹ and it shall be to you for a fringe, that you may look on it, and remember all Adonai ’s mitzvot ·instructions·, and do them; and that you not follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to play the prostitute;

⁴⁰ that you may remember and do all my mitzvot ·instructions·, and be holy to your God.

⁴¹ I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt Abode of slavery, to be your God: I am Adonai your God.”

²⁷ If a person sins unintentionally, then he must offer a female goat a year old as a sin offering.

²⁸ The priest must make atonement before Yahweh for the person who sins unintentionally. That person will be forgiven when atonement has been made.

²⁹ You must have the same law for the one who does anything unintentionally, the same law for the one who is native born among the people of Israel and for the foreigners who are staying among them.

³⁰ But the person who does anything in defiance, whether he is native born or a foreigner, blasphemes me. That person must be cut off from among his people.

³¹ Because he has despised my word and has broken my commandment, that person must be cut off completely. His sin will be on him.'”

³⁹ It will be a special reminder to you, when you may look at it, of all my commandments, to carry them out so that you do not look to your own heart and your own eyes and prostitute yourselves to them.

⁴⁰ Do this so that you may call to mind and obey all my commandments, and so that you may be holy, reserved for me, your God.

⁴¹ I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to become your God. I am Yahweh your God.”

³⁰ Forsooth a man that doeth any sin by pride, shall perish from the people, whether he be a citizen, either a pilgrim, for he was rebel against the Lord;

³¹ for he despised the word of the Lord, and made void his command-ment; therefore he shall be done away, and shall bear his own wickedness.

³² Soothly it was done, when the sons of Israel were in wilderness, and they had found a man gathering wood in the sabbath day,

³³ they brought him to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the multitude;

³⁴ the which enclosed, or put, him into prison, and they knew not what they should do to him.

³⁵ And the Lord said to Moses, This man die by death; all the company oppress him with stones without or away from the tents.

³⁶ And when they had led him withoutforth, they killed him with stones, and he was dead, as the Lord commanded.

³⁷ Also the Lord said to Moses,

³⁸ Speak thou to the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, that they make to them hems by four corners of their mantles, and fasten they in them laces of jacinth;

³⁹ and when they see those, have they mind of all the commandments of the Lord, lest they pursue or follow their own thoughts and their eyes, doing fornication by diverse things.

⁴⁰ but more be they mindful of the behests of the Lord, and do they those or them, and be they holy to their God.

⁴¹ I am your Lord God, which led you out of the land of Egypt, that I should be your God.

²⁷ That if a soul sinneth unwittingly, it shall offer a she-goat of one year for his sin; (And if someone sinneth unwittingly, he shall offer a one-year-old she-goat, for his sin offering;)

²⁸ and the priest shall pray for that soul, for it sinned unwittingly before the Lord; and the priest shall get forgiveness to it, and the sin shall be forgiven to him. (and the priest shall make amends for that person, for he sinned unwittingly before the Lord; and so the priest shall get forgiveness for him, and his sin shall be forgiven.)

²⁹ As well to men born in the land, as to comelings, one law shall be of all that sin unwittingly. (Yea, for men born in the land, as well as for newcomers, one law shall be for all who sin unwittingly, or unintentionally.)

³⁰ Forsooth a man that doeth any sin by pride, shall perish from the people, whether he be a citizen, either a pilgrim, for he was rebel against the Lord; (But anyone who doeth any sin by pride, shall be cut off from the people or shall be put to death, whether he is a citizen, or a foreigner, for he rebelled against the Lord;)

³¹ for he despised the word of the Lord, and made void his commandment; therefore he shall be done away (or and so he shall be cut off, or and so he shall be put to death), and shall bear his own wickedness.

³² Soothly it was done, when the sons of Israel were in wilderness, and they had found a man gathering wood in the sabbath day, (And it was done, when the Israelites were still in the wilderness, and they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day,)

³³ they brought him to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the multitude;

³⁴ the which closed, or put, him into prison, and they knew not what they should do to him. (and they enclosed him in prison, and they did not know what they should do with him.)

³⁵ And the Lord said to Moses, This man die by death; all the company oppress him with stones without the tents. (And the Lord said to Moses, This man must be put to death; take him away from the tents, and have all the people kill him with stones.)

³⁶ And when they had led him withoutforth, they killed him with stones, and (so) he was dead, as the Lord commanded (to Moses).

³⁷ Also the Lord said to Moses,

³⁸ Speak thou to the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, that they make to them hems by (the) four corners of their mantles, and fasten they in them laces of jacinth; (Speak thou to the Israelites, and thou shalt say to them, beginning now, and forevermore, they shall put tassels on the four corners of their mantles, and fasten a blue ribbon to the tassels;)

³⁹ and when they see those, have they mind of all the commandments of the Lord, lest they follow their own thoughts and their eyes, doing fornication by diverse things. (and when they see those things, they shall remember all the Lord’s commands, lest they follow their own thoughts, and their own eyes, and do idolatry with diverse things;)

⁴⁰ but more be they mindful of the behests of the Lord, and do they those, and be they holy to their God. (yea, let them remember the Lord’s commands, and do they them, and be they holy, yea, consecrated to their God.)

⁴¹ I am your Lord God, which led you out of the land of Egypt, that I should be your God. (I am the Lord your God, who led you out of the land of Egypt, so that I could be your God.)

²⁷ That if a soule synneth vnwityngli, it schal offre a geet of o yeer for his synne; and the preest schal preye for that soule, for it synnede vnwityngli bifor the Lord;

²⁸ and the preest schal gete foryyuenesse to it, and synne schal be foryouun to it.

²⁹ As wel to men borun in the lond as to comelyngis, o lawe schal be of alle that synnen vnwityngli.

³⁰ Forsothe a man that doith ony synne bi pride, schal perische fro his puple, whether he be a citeseyn, ethir a pilgrym, for he was rebel ayens the Lord;

³¹ for he dispiside the word of the Lord, and made voide his comaundement; therfor he schal be doon awei, and schal bere his owne wickidnes.

³² Forsothe it was doon, whanne the sones of Israel weren in wildirnesse, and hadde founde a man gaderynge woode in the `day of sabat,

³³ thei brouyten hym to Moises, and to Aaron, and to al the multitude; whiche closiden hym in to prisoun,

³⁴ and wisten not what thei schulden do of hym.

³⁵ And the Lord seide to Moises, This man die bi deeth; al the cumpeny oppresse hym with stoonus with out the tentis.

³⁶ And whanne thei hadden led hym with out forth, thei oppressiden him with stoonus, and he was deed, as the Lord comaundide.

³⁷ Also the Lord seide to Moises,

⁴⁰ but more be thei myndeful of the `Lordis heestis, and do thei tho, and be thei hooli to her God.

⁴¹ Y am youre Lord God, which ledde you out of the lond of Egipt, that Y schulde be youre God.

²⁷ 'And if one person sin in ignorance, then he hath brought near a she-goat, daughter of a year, for a sin-offering;

²⁸ and the priest hath made atonement for the person who is erring, in his sinning in ignorance before Jehovah, by making atonement for him, and it hath been forgiven him;

²⁹ for the native among the sons of Israel, and for the sojourner who is sojourning in their midst — one law is to you, for him who is doing anything through ignorance.

³⁰ 'And the person who doth aught with a high hand — of the native or of the sojourner — Jehovah he is reviling, and that person hath been cut off from the midst of his people;

³¹ because the word of Jehovah he despised, and His command hath broken — that person is certainly cut off; his iniquity is on him.'

³² And the sons of Israel are in the wilderness, and they find a man gathering wood on the sabbath-day,

³³ and those finding him gathering wood bring him near unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto all the company,

³⁴ and they place him in ward, for it is not explained what is to be done to him.

³⁵ And Jehovah saith unto Moses, 'The man is certainly put to death, all the company stoning him with stones, at the outside of the camp.'

³⁶ And all the company bring him out unto the outside of the camp, and stone him with stones, and he dieth, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

³⁷ And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

³⁸ 'Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, and they have made for themselves fringes on the skirts of their garments, to their generations, and they have put on the fringe of the skirt a ribbon of blue,

³⁹ and it hath been to you for a fringe, and ye have seen it, and have remembered all the commands of Jehovah, and have done them, and ye search not after your heart, and after your eyes, after which ye are going a-whoring;

⁴⁰ so that ye remember and have done all My commands, and ye have been holy to your God;

⁴¹ I am Jehovah your God, who hath brought you out from the land of Egypt to become your God; I, Jehovah, am your God.'
