⁷ These are the families of the Reubenites; and they that were numbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.

⁸ And the sons of Pallu: Eliab.

⁹ And the sons of Eliab: Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. These are that Dathan and Abiram, who were called of the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against Jehovah,

¹⁰ and the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died; what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men, and they became a sign.

¹¹ Notwithstanding, the sons of Korah died not.

¹² The sons of Simeon after their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites;

¹³ of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites; of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.

⁹ and the sons of Eliab, Namuel, and Dathan, and Abiron: these are renowned men of the congregation; these are they that rose up against Moses and Aaron in the gathering of Core, in the rebellion against the Lord.

¹⁰ And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up them and Core, when their assembly perished, when the fire devoured the two hundred and fifty, and they were made a sign.

¹¹ But the sons of Core died not.

¹² And the sons of Symeon:—the family of the sons of Symeon: to Namuel, belonged the family of the Namuelites; to Jamin the family of the Jaminites; to Jachin the family of the Jachinites.

¹³ To Zara the family of the Zaraites; to Saul the family of the Saulites.

⁸ Pallu's son was Eliab

⁹ and his grandsons were Nemuel, Dathan and Abiram. Dathan and Abiram were the leaders who joined with Korah to conspire against Aaron and Moses/me and rebelled against Yahweh.

¹⁰ But the earth opened up and swallowed them and Korah. Yahweh also sent a fire that burned up 250 men who supported those three men. That was a warning to all the Israeli people that they should respect and obey the leaders whom Yahweh had appointed.

¹¹ But the descendants of Korah did not die on that day.

¹² The Israeli leaders counted 22,200 men from the tribe of Simeon. They were in clans descended from Nemuel, Jamin, Jakin, Zerah, and Shaul.

¹⁰ And they went down into the open mouth of the earth, together with Korah, when death overtook him and all his band; at the time when two hundred and fifty men were burned in the fire, and they became a sign.

¹¹ But death did not overtake the sons of Korah.

¹² The sons of Simeon by their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites: of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites: of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites:

¹³ Of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites: of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.

¹¹ But the children of Korah died not.

⁸ The son of Phallu was Eliab.

⁹ His sons, were Namuel and Dathan and Abiron. These are Dathan and Abiron the princes of the people, that rose against Moses and Aaron in the sedition of Core, when they rebelled against the Lord:

¹⁰ And the earth opening her mouth swallowed up Core, many others dying, when the fire burned two hundred and fifty men. And there was a great miracle wrought,

¹¹ That when Core perished, his sons did not perish.

¹² The sons of Simeon by their kindreds: Namuel, of him is the family of the Namuelites: Jamin, of him is the family of the Jaminites: Jachin, of him is the family of the Jachinites:

¹³ Zare, of him is the family of the Zarites: Saul, of him is the family of the Saulites.

⁷ These were the families descended from Reuben and they numbered 43,730.

⁸ Pallu's son was Eliab,

⁹ and Eliab's sons were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. (It was Dathan and Abiram, leaders chosen by the Israelites, who joined the rebellion against Moses and Aaron with the followers of Korah when they rebelled against the Lord.

¹⁰ The earth opened up and swallowed them down, along with Korah. His followers died when the fire burned up 250 men. What happened to them was a warning to the Israelites.

¹¹ But Korah's sons didn't die.)

¹⁰ And the earth opened her mouth, and swalowed them vp with Korah, when the Congregation died, what time the fire consumed, two hundreth and fiftie men, who were for a signe.

¹¹ Notwithstanding, all the sonnes of Korah dyed not.

¹¹ that when Korah perished, his sons perished not. (that when Korah died, his sons did not die.)

¹² The sons of Simeon by their kindreds; Nemuel, of him was the family of Nemuelites; Jamin, of him the family of Jaminites; Jachin, of him the family of Jachinites;

¹³ Zerah, of him the family of Zarhites; Shaul, of him the family of Shaulites.
