³⁶ And when Balak heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him unto the City of Moab, which is on the border of the Arnon, which is in the utmost part of the border.

³⁷ And Balak said unto Balaam, Did I not earnestly send unto thee to call thee? wherefore camest thou not unto me? am I not able indeed to promote thee to honor?

³⁸ And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee: have I now any power at all to speak anything? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speak.

³⁹ And Balaam went with Balak, and they came unto Kiriath-huzoth.

⁴⁰ And Balak sacrificed oxen and sheep, and sent to Balaam, and to the princes that were with him.

³⁶ And when Balac heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him, to a city of Moab, which is on the borders of Arnon, which is on the extreme part of the borders.

³⁷ And Balac said to Balaam, Did I not send to thee to call thee? why hast thou not come to me? shall I not indeed be able to honour thee?

³⁸ And Balaam said to Balac, Behold, I am now come to thee: shall I be able to say anything? the word which God shall put into my mouth, that I shall speak.

³⁹ And Balaam went with Balac, and they came to the cities of streets.

⁴⁰ And Balac offered sheep and calves, and sent to Balaam and to his princes who were with him.

³⁶ And when Balak heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him unto a city of Moab, which is in the border of Arnon, which is in the utmost coast.

³⁷ And Balak said unto Balaam, Did I not earnestly send unto thee to call thee? wherefore camest thou not unto me? am I not able indeed to promote thee to honour?

³⁶ When King Balak heard that Balaam was coming, he went to meet him at a Moab town alongside the Arnon River that was at the border of his own land.

³⁷ When he arrived where Balaam was, he said to him, “I sent you RHQ a message saying that you should come immediately RHQ! Why did you not come immediately? Did you think that I was not able to pay you a lot of money for coming?”

³⁸ Balaam replied, “I have come here now, but I am not able to say anything that I want to. I will say only the words that God tells me to say MTY.”

³⁹ Then Balaam went with Balak to Kiriath-Huzoth town.

⁴⁰ There Balak killed some cattle and sheep as sacrifices, and offered parts of the meat to Balaam and the leaders who were with him.

³⁶ And when Balac heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him, to a city of Moab, which is on the borders of Arnon, which is on the extreme part of the borders.

³⁷ And Balac said to Balaam, Did I not send to you to call you? why have you not come to me? shall I not indeed be able to honour you?

³⁶ Now Balak, hearing that Balaam had come, went to the chief town of Moab, on the edge of the Arnon, in the farthest part of the land, for the purpose of meeting him.

³⁷ And Balak said to Balaam, Did I not send to you, requesting you with all my heart to come to me? why did you not come? am I not able to give you a place of honour?

³⁸ Then Balaam said to Balak, Now I have come to you; but have I power to say anything? Only what God puts into my mouth may I say.

³⁹ And Balaam went with Balak to Kiriath-huzoth.

⁴⁰ And Balak made offerings of oxen and sheep, and sent to Balaam and the chiefs who were with him.

³⁶ And when Balak heard that Balaam came, he went out to meet him, to the city of Moab, which is on the border of the Arnon, which is at the extremity of the border.

³⁷ And Balak said to Balaam, Did I not earnestly send to thee to call thee? why didst thou not come to me? am I not surely able to honour thee?

³⁸ And Balaam said to Balak, Lo, I am come to thee; but shall I now be able at all to say anything? the word that God puts in my mouth, that shall I speak.

³⁹ And Balaam went with Balak, and they came to Kirjath-huzoth.

⁴⁰ And Balak offered oxen and small cattle, and sent to Balaam and to the princes that were with him.

³⁶ And when Balac heard it he came forth to meet him in a town of the Moabites, that is situate in the uttermost borders of Arnon.

³⁷ And he said to Balaam: I sent messengers to call thee, why didst thou not come immediately to me? was it because I am not able to reward thy coming?

³⁸ He answered him: Lo, here I am: shall I have power to speak any other thing but that which God shall put in my mouth?

³⁹ So they went on together, and came into a city, that was in the uttermost borders of his kingdom.

⁴⁰ And when Balac had killed oxen and sheep, he sent presents to Balaam, and to the princes that were with him.

³⁶ When Balak found out that Balaam was on his way, he went out to meet him at the Moabite town on the border at the Arnon River, the farthest point of his territory.

³⁷ He said to Balaam, “Didn't you think my call for you to come was urgent? Why didn't you come to me straight away? Did you think I couldn't pay you enough?”

³⁸ “Look, I'm here with you now, aren't I?” Balaam replied. “But do you think I can just say anything? I can only speak the words that God gives me to say.”

³⁹ So Balaam went with Balak and they arrived at Kiriath-huzoth.

⁴⁰ Balak sacrificed cattle and sheep, and he shared with meat with Balaam and the leaders who were with him.

³⁶ And when Balak heard that Balaam came, he went out to meete him vnto a citie of Moab, which is in the border of Arnon, euen in the vtmost coast.

³⁷ Then Balak saide vnto Balaam, Did I not sende for thee to call thee? Wherefore camest thou not vnto me? am I not able in deede to promote thee vnto honour?

³⁸ And Balaam made answere vnto Balak, Lo, I am come vnto thee, and can I nowe say any thing at all? the worde that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speake.

³⁹ So Balaam went with Balak, and they came vnto the citie of Huzoth.

⁴⁰ Then Balak offred bullockes, and sheepe, and sent thereof to Balaam, and to the princes that were with him.

³⁶ And when Balak heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him unto Ir-moab, which is on the border of Arnon, which is in the utmost part of the border.

³⁷ And Balak said unto Balaam: 'Did I not earnestly send unto thee to call thee? wherefore camest thou not unto me? am I not able indeed to promote thee to honour?'

³⁸ And Balaam said unto Balak: 'Lo, I am come unto thee; have I now any power at all to speak any thing? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speak.'

³⁹ And Balaam went with Balak, and they came unto Kiriath-huzoth.

³⁷ And Balak said unto Bil'am, Did I not earnestly send unto thee to have thee called? wherefore camest thou not unto me? in truth, am I not able to honor thee?

³⁸ And Bil'am said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee; have I now any power whatever to speak the least? the word that God may put in my mouth, that alone must I speak.

³⁹ And Bil'am went with Balak, and they came unto Kiryath-chuzoth.

⁴⁰ And Balak slew oxen and sheep, and sent to Bil'am and to the princes that were with him.

³⁶ And when Balak heard that Balaam was come, he went out to meet him, to a city of Moab, which is on the borders of Arnon, which is on the extreme part of the borders.

³⁷ And Balak said to Balaam, Did I not send to thee to call thee? why hast thou not come to me? shall I not indeed be able to honor thee?

³⁷ And Balak said to Bileam, Did not I sending send for thee to call thee? Why didst thou not come to me? Hast thou not indeed said that I am not able to do thee honour?

³⁸ And Bileam said to Balak, Behold, I have come to thee: but even now, have’ I really any power to speak anything? The word which the Lord putteth into my mouth I will speak.

³⁹ And Bileam went with Balak, and they came to a city of his territory.

⁴⁰ And Balak slaughtered oxen and sheep, and sent to Bileam and to the princes who were with him.

³⁶ When Balak sh'ma ·heard obeyed· that Balaam Not people, Destroyer of people had come, he went out to meet him to the City of Moab From father, which is on the border of the Arnon, which is in the utmost part of the border.

³⁷ Balak said to Balaam Not people, Destroyer of people, “Didn’t I earnestly send to you to call you? Why didn’t you come to me? Am I not able indeed to promote you to honor?”

³⁸ Balaam Not people, Destroyer of people said to Balak, “Behold, I have come to you. Have I now any power at all to speak anything? The word that God puts in my mouth, that shall I speak.” (RY:6, LY:4)

³⁹ Balaam Not people, Destroyer of people went with Balak, and they came to Kiriath Huzoth.

³⁷ And Balak said to Balaam, I sent messengers to call thee; why camest thou not anon to me? whether for I may not yield meed to thy coming?

³⁸ To whom Balaam answered, Lo! I am present, whether I shall be able to speak other thing than that, that God shall put in my mouth?

³⁹ Therefore they went forth together, and they came into a city, which was in the last coast of his realm.

⁴⁰ And when Balak had slain sheep, and oxen, he sent gifts to Balaam and the princes that were with him.

³⁶ And when Balak heard that Balaam was nigh, he went out into the coming of him, in (Ar), the city of Moabites, which is set in the last coast of (the) Arnon. (And when Balak heard that Balaam was near, he went out to meet him, at Ar, the city of the Moabites, which is set on their most distant border, by the Arnon River.)

³⁷ And Balak said to Balaam, I sent messengers to call thee; why camest thou not anon to me? whether for I may not yield meed to thy coming? (And Balak said to Balaam, I sent messengers to call thee; why did thou not come at once to me? did you think that I would not reward thee for coming?)

³⁸ To whom Balaam answered, Lo! I am present, (but) whether I shall be able to speak (any) other thing than that, that God shall put in my mouth? (To whom Balaam answered, Behold! I am present, but do not think that I shall speak anything, other than what God himself shall put in my mouth!)

³⁹ Therefore they went forth together, and they came into a city, which was in the last coast of his realm (or which was Kiriathhuzoth, that is, the City of Huzoth).

⁴⁰ And when Balak had slain sheep, and oxen, he sent (part of them as) gifts to Balaam and the princes that were with him.

³⁶ And whanne Balaach hadde herde this, he yede out in to the comyng of hym, in the citee of Moabitis, whiche is set in the laste coostis of Arnon.

³⁷ And he seide to Balaam, Y sente messangeris to clepe thee; whi camest thou not anoon to me? whethir for Y may not yelde meede to thi comyng?

³⁸ To whom Balaam answeride, Lo! Y am present, whethir Y schal mow speke other thing than that, that God schal putte in my mouth?

³⁹ Therfor thei yeden forth to gidere, and camen in to a citee, which was in the laste coost of `his rewme.

⁴⁰ And whanne Balaach hadde slayn scheep and oxun, he sente yiftis to Balaam and the princes that weren with hym.

³⁶ And Balak heareth that Balaam hath come, and goeth out to meet him, unto a city of Moab, which is on the border of Arnon, which is in the extremity of the border;

³⁷ and Balak saith unto Balaam, 'Did I not diligently sent unto thee to call for thee? why didst thou not come unto me? am I not truly able to honour thee?'

³⁸ And Balaam saith unto Balak, 'Lo, I have come unto thee; now — am I at all able to speak anything? the word which God setteth in my mouth — it I do speak.'

³⁹ And Balaam goeth with Balak, and they come to Kirjath-Huzoth,

⁴⁰ and Balak sacrificeth oxen and sheep, and sendeth to Balaam, and to the princes who are with him;
