⁴⁶ even all they that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

⁴⁷ But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.

⁴⁸ For Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

⁴⁹ Only the tribe of Levi thou shalt not number, neither shalt thou take the sum of them among the children of Israel;

⁵⁰ but appoint thou the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all the furniture thereof, and over all that belongeth to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the furniture thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.

⁵¹ And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

⁴⁷ But this number did not include the names of the men of the tribe of Levi,

⁴⁸ because Yahweh had said to Moses/me,

⁴⁹ “When you ◄count/write the names of► the men of the tribes of Israel, do not count the men in the tribe of Levi.

⁵⁰ Appoint the male descendants of Levi to take care of the Sacred Tent and the chest inside it that contains the tablets on which are written the Ten Commandments. They must also take care of the other things that are inside the tent. When you travel, they are the ones who must carry the tent and all the things that are inside it, and they must take care of it and set up their tents around it.

⁵¹ Whenever it is time for all of you to move to another location, the descendants of Levi are the ones who must dismantle the tent. And when it is time to stop traveling, they are the ones who must set up the Sacred Tent again. Any other person who goes near the Sacred Tent to do this work must be executed.

⁵² The people of each Israeli tribe must set up their tents in their own area, and they must set up a flag/banner that represents their tribe.

⁵³ But the male descendants of Levi must set up their tents around the Sacred Tent, in order to protect the other Israeli people from being punished MTY by Yahweh for coming close to the Sacred Tent. The descendants of Levi are the ones who must stand around the Sacred Tent to guard it.”

⁵¹ And when the Tent of meeting goes forward, the Levites are to take it down; and when it is to be put up, they are to do it: any strange person who comes near it is to be put to death.

⁵² The children of Israel are to put up their tents, every man in his tent-circle round his flag.

⁵³ But the tents of the Levites are to be round the Tent of meeting, so that wrath may not come on the children of Israel: the Tent of meeting is to be in the care of the Levites.

⁵³ but the Levites shall encamp round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there come not wrath upon the assembly of the children of Israel; and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.

⁴⁶ Were six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty men.

⁴⁷ But the Levites in the tribes of their families were not numbered with them.

⁴⁸ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

⁴⁹ Number not the tribe of Levi, neither shalt thou put down the sum of them with the children of Israel:

⁵⁰ But appoint them over the tabernacle of the testimony, and all the vessels thereof, and whatsoever pertaineth to the ceremonies. They shall carry the tabernacle and all the furniture thereof: and they shall minister, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.

⁵¹ When you are to go forward, the Levites shall take down the tabernacle: when you are to camp, they shall set it up. What stranger soever cometh to it, shall be slain.

⁵² And the children of Israel shall camp every man by his troops and bands and army.

⁵³ But the Levites shall pitch their tents round about the tabernacle, lest there come indignation upon the multitude of the children of Israel, and they shall keep watch, and guard the tabernacle of the testimony.

⁴⁶ The sum total of those registered was 603,550.

⁴⁷ However, the Levites were not registered with the others according to their tribe and families.

⁴⁸ This was because the Lord had told Moses,

⁴⁹ “Don't register the tribe of Levi; don't count them in the census with the other Israelites.

⁵⁰ Put the Levites in charge of the Tabernacle and of the Testimony, as well as all its furniture and everything it contains. They are the ones responsible for carrying the Tabernacle and all its items. They are to care for it, and to make their camp around it.

⁵¹ When it's time to move the Tabernacle, the Levites shall take it down, and when it's time to make camp, the Levites shall put it up. Any outsider who goes near it must be put to death.

⁵² The Israelites are to make camp according to their tribal divisions, each person in their own camp under their own flag.

⁵³ But the Levites are to set up their camp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony to stop anyone making me angry with the Israelites. The Levites are responsible for looking after the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”

⁴⁶ And all they were in nomber sixe hudreth and three thousande, fiue hundreth and fiftie.

⁴⁷ But the Leuites, after the tribes of their fathers were not nombred among them.

⁴⁸ For the Lord had spoken vnto Moses, and said,

⁴⁹ Onely thou shalt not number the tribe of Leui, neither take the summe of them among the children of Israel:

⁵⁰ But thou shalt appoynt the Leuites ouer the Tabernacle of the Testimonie, and ouer all the instruments thereof, and ouer all things that belong to it: they shall beare the Tabernacle, and all the instruments thereof, and shall minister in it, and shall dwell round about the Tabernacle.

⁵¹ And when the Tabernacle goeth forth, the Leuites shall take it downe: and when the Tabernacle is to be pitched, ye Leuites shall set it vp: for the stranger that commeth neere, shalbe slaine.

⁵² Also the children of Israel shall pitch their tentes, euery man in his campe, and euery man vnder his standerd throughout their armies.

⁵³ But the Leuites shall pitch rounde about the Tabernacle of the Testimonie, least vengeance come vpon the Congregation of the children of Israel, and the Leuites shall take the charge of the Tabernacle of the Testimonie.

⁵² And the sons of Israel shall encamp every man upon his own dwelling-place, and every man by his standard, according to their hosts.

⁵³ But the Levites shall dwell round about the tabernacle of the testimony, that there may not be wrath upon the congregation of the sons of Israel; and the Levites shall watch the watching of the tabernacle of testimony.

⁴⁶ even all those who were counted were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.

⁴⁷ But the Levites Descendants of United with after the tribe of their fathers was not counted among them.

⁴⁸ For Adonai spoke to Moses Drawn out, saying,

⁴⁹ “Only the tribe of Levi United with you shall not count, neither shall you take a census of them among the children of Israel God prevails;

⁵⁰ but appoint the Levites Descendants of United with over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle, and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall encamp around it.

⁵¹ When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites Descendants of United with shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites Descendants of United with shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.

⁵² The children of Israel God prevails shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.

⁵³ But the Levites Descendants of United with shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel God prevails: and the Levites Descendants of United with shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”

⁴⁶ They counted 603,550 men.

⁴⁷ But the men who were descended from Levi were not counted,

⁴⁸ because Yahweh had said to Moses,

⁴⁹ “You must not count the tribe of Levi or include them in the total of the people of Israel.

⁵⁰ Instead, assign the Levites to care for the tabernacle of the covenant decrees, and to care for all the furnishings in the tabernacle and for everything in it. The Levites must carry the tabernacle, and they must carry the tabernacle's furnishings. They must care for the tabernacle and make their camp around it.

⁵¹ When the tabernacle is to move to another place, the Levites must take it down. When the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites must set it up. Any stranger who comes near the tabernacle must be killed.

⁵² When the people of Israel set up their tents, each man must do so near the banner that belongs to his armed group.

⁵³ However, the Levites must set up their tents around the tabernacle of the covenant decrees so that my anger does not come upon the people of Israel. The Levites must care for the tabernacle of the covenant decrees.”

⁵¹ When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.

⁵² The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.

⁵³ But the Levites shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel. The Levites shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”

⁴⁶ Even all they that were numbered, were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

⁴⁷ But the Levites, after the tribe of their fathers, were not numbered among them.

⁴⁸ For the LORD had spoken to Moses, saying,

⁴⁹ Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel:

⁵⁰ But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all its vessels, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all its vessels, and they shall minister to it, and shall encamp around the tabernacle.

⁵¹ And when the tabernacle moveth forward, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

⁵² And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.

⁵³ But the Levites shall pitch around the tabernacle of testimony; that there may be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.

⁴⁶ all those who were counted were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.

⁴⁷ But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not counted among them.

⁴⁸ For the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

⁴⁷ Soothly the deacons in the lineage of their meines were not numbered with them.

⁴⁸ And the Lord spake to Moses, and said,

⁴⁹ Do not thou number the lineage of Levi, neither set thou the sum of them with the sons of Israel;

⁵⁰ but thou shalt ordain them upon the tabernacle of witnessing, and upon all the vessels thereof, and upon what-ever thing pertaineth to the cere-monies, either sacrifices. They shall bear the tabernacle, and all the appur-tenances thereof, and they shall be in the service of it, and they shall set their tents by compass of the taber-nacle.

⁵¹ When men shall go forth, or be removed, the deacons shall take down the tabernacle; when the tents shall be set, they shall set it up. Whoever of strangers nigheth, he shall be slain.

⁵² Soothly the sons of Israel shall set tents, each man by his companies, and his fellowships, and his host;

⁵³ forsooth the deacons shall set their tents by compass of the tabernacle, lest indignation be made on the multitude of the sons of Israel; and they shall wake or watch in the keepings of the tabernacle of witnessing.

⁴⁶ were all together six hundred thousand and three thousand men, and five hundred and fifty. (were altogether six hundred and three thousand, five hundred and fifty men.)

⁴⁷ Soothly the deacons in the lineage of their families were not numbered with them. (But the Levites, in the tribe of their families, were not listed with them.)

⁴⁸ And the Lord spake to Moses, and said, (For the Lord spoke to Moses, and said,)

⁴⁹ Do not thou number the lineage of Levi, neither set thou the sum of them with the sons of Israel; (Do not thou list, or register, the tribe of Levi, nor take thou the sum of them among the Israelites;)

⁵⁰ but thou shalt ordain them upon the tabernacle of (the) witnessing, and upon all the vessels thereof, and upon whatever thing pertaineth to the ceremonies, either sacrifices. They shall bear the tabernacle, and all the purtenances thereof, and they shall be in the service of it, and they shall set their tents by compass of the tabernacle (or and they shall pitch their tents around the Tabernacle).

⁵³ forsooth the deacons shall set their tents by compass of the tabernacle, lest indignation be made on the multitude of the sons of Israel; and they shall (stand) watch in the keepings of the tabernacle of witnessing. (but the Levites shall pitch their tents around the Tabernacle, lest my indignation come upon all the multitude of the Israelites; and they shall keep charge of the Tabernacle of the Witnessing.)

⁴⁶ sixe hundrid thousynde and thre thousynde of men, fyue hundred and fifti.

⁴⁷ Sotheli the dekenes in the lynage of her meynes weren not noumbrid with hem.

⁴⁸ And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, `Nyle thou noumbre the lynage of Leuy,

⁴⁹ nether sette thou the summe of hem with the sones of Israel;

⁵⁰ but thou schalt ordeyne hem on the tabernacle of witnessing, and on alle the vessels therof, and what euer thing perteyneth to cerymonyes ether sacrifices. Thei schulen bere the tabernacle, and alle purtenaunces therof, and thei schulen be in seruyce, and schulen sette tentis bi the cumpas of the tabernacle.

⁵¹ Whanne me schal go, the dekenes schulen do doun the tabernacle; whanne the tentis schulen be sette, thei schulen `reise the tabernacle. Who euer of straungeris neiyeth, he schal be slayn.

⁵² Sotheli the sones of Israel schulen sette tentis, ech man bi cumpenyes, and gaderyngis, and his oost;

⁵³ forsothe the dekenes schulen sette tentis bi the cumpas of the tabernacle, lest indignacioun be maad on the multitude of the sones of Israel; and thei schulen wake in the kepyngis of the `tabernacle of witnessyng.

⁴⁶ yea, all those numbered are six hundred thousand, and three thousand, and five hundred and fifty.

⁴⁷ And the Levites, for the tribe of their fathers, have not numbered themselves in their midst,

⁴⁸ seeing Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

⁴⁹ 'Only, the tribe of Levi thou dost not number, and their sum thou dost not take up in the midst of the sons of Israel;

⁵⁰ and thou, appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all its vessels, and over all that it hath; they bear the tabernacle, and all its vessels, and they serve it; and round about the tabernacle they encamp.

⁵¹ 'And in the journeying of the tabernacle, the Levites take it down, and in the encamping of the tabernacle, the Levites raise it up; and the stranger who is coming near is put to death.'

⁵² And the sons of Israel have encamped, each by his camp, and each by his standard, by their hosts;

⁵³ and the Levites encamp round about the tabernacle of the testimony; and there is no wrath on the company of the sons of Israel, and the Levites have kept the charge of the tabernacle of the testimony.
