¹ And Jehovah spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tent of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

² Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, by their polls;

³ from twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel, thou and Aaron shall number them by their hosts.

⁴ And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of his fathers’ house.

⁵ And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you. Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.

⁶ Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

⁷ Of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

¹ And the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sina, in the tabernacle of witness, on the first day of the second month, in the second year of their departure from the land of Egypt, saying,

² Take the sum of all the congregation of Israel according to their kindreds, according to the houses of their fathers' families, according to their number by their names, according to their heads: every male

³ from twenty years old and upwards, every one that goes forth in the forces of Israel, take account of them with their strength; thou and Aaron take account of them.

⁴ And with you there shall be each one of the rulers according to the tribe of each: they shall be according to the houses of their families.

⁵ And these are the names of the men who shall be present with you; of the tribe of Ruben, Elisur the son of Sediur.

⁶ Of Symeon, Salamiel the son of Surisadai.

⁷ Of Juda, Naasson the son of Aminadab.

¹ In April of the year after the Israeli people left Egypt, Yahweh spoke to Moses/me while he/I was in the Sacred Tent, in the Sinai Desert. Yahweh said to him/me,

² “I want you and Aaron to determine how many Israeli men are able to fight in battles. Write down the names of all the men who are at least twenty years old, and write down the names of their clans and families.

⁴ I have chosen one man from each of the tribes to help you to do this. Each one will be a leader of his clan.

⁵ Their names are: Elizur, the son of Shedeur, from the tribe of Reuben; Shelumiel, the son of Zurishaddai, from the tribe of Simeon; Nahshon, the son of Amminadab, from the tribe of Judah; Nethanel, the son of Zuar, from the tribe of Issachar; Eliab, the son of Helon, from the tribe of Zebulun; Elishama, the son of Ammihud, from the tribe of Joseph's son Ephraim; Gamaliel, the son of Pedahzur, from the tribe of Joseph's son Manasseh; Abidan, the son of Gideoni, from the tribe of Benjamin; Ahiezer, the son of Ammishaddai, from the tribe of Dan; Pagiel, the son of Ocran, from the tribe of Asher; Eliasaph, the son of Deuel, from the tribe of Gad; Ahira, the son of Enan, from the tribe of Naphtali.”

² Take the full number of the children of Israel, by their families, and by their fathers' houses, every male by name;

³ All those of twenty years old and over, who are able to go to war in Israel, are to be numbered by you and Aaron.

⁴ And to give you help, take one man from every tribe, the head of his father's house.

⁵ These are the names of those who are to be your helpers: from Reuben, Elizur, the son of Shedeur;

⁶ From Simeon, Shelumiel, the son of Zurishaddai;

⁷ From Judah, Nahshon, the son of Amminadab;

¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai in the tent of meeting, on the first of the second month, in the second year after their departure from the land of Egypt, saying,

² Take the sum of the whole assembly of the children of Israel, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, every male, according to their polls;

³ from twenty years and upward, all that go forth to military service in Israel: ye shall number them according to their hosts, thou and Aaron.

⁴ And with you there shall be a man for every tribe, a man who is the head of his father's house.

⁵ And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: for Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;

⁶ for Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;

⁷ for Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab;

¹ And the Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai in the tabernacle of the covenant, the first day of the second month, the second year of their going out of Egypt, saying:

² Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel by their families, and houses, and the names of every one, as many as are of the male sex,

³ From twenty years old and upwards, of all the men of Israel fit for war, and you shall number them by their troops, thou and Aaron.

⁴ And there shall be with you the princes of the tribes, and of the houses in their kindreds,

⁵ Whose names are these: Of Ruben, Elisur the son of Sedeur.

⁶ Of Simeon, Salamiel the son of Surisaddai.

⁷ Of Juda, Nahasson the son of Aminadab.

¹ The Lord spoke to Moses in the Tent of Meeting while they were in the Sinai desert. This was on the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites had left Egypt. He told him,

² “Census all the Israelites according to their tribe and family. Count every man and keep a record of each individual's name.

³ Those aged twenty or older who can do military service are to be registered by you and Aaron in their Israelite army divisions.

⁴ A representative from each tribe, the head of a family, must be there with you.

⁵ These are the names of the men who will work with you: From the tribe of Reuben, Elizur, son of Shedeur;

⁶ from the tribe of Simeon, Shelumiel, son of Zurishaddai;

⁷ from the tribe of Judah, Nahshon, son of Amminadab;

¹ The Lord spake againe vnto Moses in the wildernesse of Sinai, in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, in the first day of the second moneth, in the second yere after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

² Take ye the summe of all the Congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, and housholdes of their fathers with the nomber of their names: to wit, all the males, man by man:

³ From twentie yere olde and aboue, all that go forth to the warre in Israel, thou and Aaron shall number them, throughout their armies.

⁴ And with you shalbe men of euery tribe, such as are the heads of the house of their fathers.

⁵ And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you, of the tribe of Reuben, Elizur, the sonne of Shedeur:

⁶ Of Simeon, Shelumiel the sonne of Zurishaddai:

⁷ Of Iudah, Nahshon the sonne of Amminadab:

⁴ And with you there shall be one man each of every tribe; a man who is the head of his family division.

⁵ And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you; of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.

⁶ Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

⁷ Of Judah: Nachshon the son of 'Amminadab.

¹ And the Lord spake with Mosheh in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of ordinance, on the first of the second month, in the second year of their coming out from the land of Mizraim, saying:

² Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel after their kindreds, and after the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their capitations:

³ From a son of twenty years and upwards, everyone who can go forth to war in Israel, thou and Aharon number them by their hosts.

⁴ And with you let there be a man of each tribe, a man who is chief of the house of his fathers.

⁵ And these are the names of the men who shall stand with you. Of Reuben, Elizur bar Shedeur;

⁶ of Shemeon, Shelumiel bar Zuri-Shaddai;

⁷ Of Jehudah, Nachshon bar Aminadab;

¹ Adonai spoke to Moses Drawn out in the wilderness of Sinai Thorn, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt Abode of slavery, saying,

² “Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel God prevails, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, one by one;

³ from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go out to war in Israel God prevails. You and Aaron Light-bringer shall count them by their divisions.

⁴ With you there shall be a man of every tribe; everyone head of his fathers’ house.

⁵ These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: Of Reuben See, a son!: Elizur the son of Shedeur.

⁶ Of Simeon Hearing: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai My rock almighty.

⁷ Of Judah Praised: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

¹ Yahweh spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting in the wilderness of Sinai. This happened on the first day of the second month during the second year after the people of Israel had come out from the land of Egypt. Yahweh said,

² “Conduct a census of all the men of Israel in each clan, in their fathers' families. Count them by name. Count every male, each man

³ who is twenty years old or older. Count all who can fight as soldiers for Israel. You and Aaron must record the number of men in their armed groups.

⁴ A man from each tribe, a clan head, must serve with you as his tribe's leader. Each leader must lead the men who will fight for his tribe.

⁵ These are the names of the leaders who must fight with you: From the tribe of Reuben, Elizur son of Shedeur;

⁶ from the tribe of Simeon, Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;

⁷ from the tribe of Judah, Nahshon son of Amminadab;

³ from the twentieth year and above, of all the strong men of Israel; and thou and Aaron shall number them by their companies.

⁴ And the princes of the lineages, and of the meines, in their kindreds, shall be with you,

⁵ of which princes, these be the names; of Reuben, Elizur, the son of Shedeur;

⁶ of Simeon, Shelumiel, the son of Zurishaddai;

⁷ of Judah, Nahshon, the son of Amminadab;

¹ And the Lord spake to Moses in the desert of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the bond of peace, in the first day of the second month, in the tother year of their going out of Egypt, and said, (And the Lord spoke to Moses in the Sinai Desert, in the Tabernacle of the Covenant, that is, the Tabernacle of the Witnessing, on the first day of the second month, in the second year of their going out of Egypt, and said,)

² Take ye the sum, or the number, of all the congregation of the sons of Israel, by their kindreds, and families, and all their names each by themselves, whatever thing of male kind, (Take ye the sum, or the number, of all the congregation of the people of Israel, by their kindreds, and families, and list, or register, all their names, whoever is a male,)

³ from the twentieth year and above, of all the strong men of Israel, (or from twenty years of age and older, of all the strong men in Israel); and thou and Aaron shall number them by their companies.

⁴ And the princes of the lineages (or And the leaders of the tribes), and of the families, in their kindreds, shall be with you,

¹ And the Lord spak to Moises in the deseert of Synay, in the tabernacle of the boond of pees, in the firste day of the secounde monethe, in the tother yeer of her goyng out of Egipt,

² and seide, Take ye `the summe of al the congregacioun of the sones of Israel, bi her kynredis, and howsis, and `the names of alle bi hem silf, what

³ euer thing is of male kynde fro the twentithe yeere and aboue, of alle the stronge men of Israel; and thou and Aaron schulen noumbre hem bi her cumpanies.

⁴ And the princes of lynagis and of housis, in her kynredis, schulen be with you,

⁵ of whiche princes these ben the names; of Ruben, Elisur, the sone of Sedeur;

⁶ of Symeon, Salamyel, the sone of Suri Sadday;

⁷ of Juda, Naason, the sone of Amynadab; of Ysacar,

² 'Take ye up the sum of all the company of the sons of Israel by their families, by the house of their fathers, in the number of names — every male by their polls;

³ from a son of twenty years and upward, every one going out to the host in Israel, ye do number them by their hosts, thou and Aaron;

⁴ and with you there is a man for a tribe, each is a head to the house of his fathers.

⁵ 'And these are the names of the men who stand with you: 'For Reuben — Elizur son of Shedeur.

⁶ 'For Simeon — Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.

⁷ 'For Judah — Nahshon son of Amminadab.
