⁸ And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and put forth buds, and produced blossoms, and bare ripe almonds.

⁹ And Moses brought out all the rods from before Jehovah unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

¹⁰ And Jehovah said unto Moses, Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the children of rebellion; that thou mayest make an end of their murmurings against me, that they die not.

¹¹ Thus did Moses: as Jehovah commanded him, so did he.

¹² And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we perish, we are undone, we are all undone.

⁸ And Moses and Aaron went in, in front of the tabernacle of witness.

⁹ And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,

¹⁰ Depart out of the midst of this congregation, and I will consume them at once: and they fell upon their faces.

¹¹ And Moses said to Aaron, Take a censer, and put on it fire from the altar, and put incense on it, and carry it away quickly into the camp, and make atonement for them; for wrath is gone forth from the presence of the Lord, it has begun to destroy the people.

¹² And Aaron took as Moses spoke to him, and ran among the congregation, for already the plague had begun among the people; and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.

⁸ And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

⁹ And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

¹⁰ And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.

¹¹ And Moses did so: as the LORD commanded him, so did he.

¹¹ And Moses and Aaron did as the Lord commanded Moses, so did they.

¹² And the children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, Behold, we are cut off, we are destroyed, we are consumed.

⁸ And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and put forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and bare ripe almonds.

⁹ And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

¹⁰ And the LORD said unto Moses, Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the children of rebellion; that thou mayest make an end of their murmurings against me, that they die not.

¹¹ Thus did Moses: as the LORD commanded him, so did he.

¹² And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we perish, we are undone, we are all undone.

⁸ The following morning, when he/I went into the tent, he/I saw that Aaron's stick, which represented the tribe of Levi, had sprouted, it had produced leaves and blossoms, and it had also produced almonds that were ripe!

⁹ Moses/I brought all the sticks out of the Sacred Tent and showed them to the people. Each of the twelve leaders took back his own stick.

¹⁰ Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “Put Aaron's stick in front of the sacred chest, and let it stay there permanently. That will be a warning to people who want to rebel against me. Then no more people will die because of complaining against me.”

¹¹ So Moses/I did what Yahweh had commanded.

¹² Then the Israeli people said to Moses/me, “We are going to die! All of us are surely going to die!

⁸ And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi blossomed, and put forth a bud, and bloomed blossoms and produced almonds.

⁸ Now on the day after, Moses went into the Tent of witness; and he saw that Aaron's rod, the rod of the house of Levi, had put out buds, and was covered with buds and flowers and fruit.

⁹ Then Moses took out all the rods from before the Lord, and gave them back to the children of Israel: and they saw them, and every man took his rod.

¹⁰ And the Lord said to Moses, Put Aaron's rod back in front of the ark of witness, to be kept for a sign against this false-hearted people, so that you may put a stop to their outcries against me, and death may not overtake them.

¹¹ This Moses did: as the Lord gave orders, so he did.

¹² And the children of Israel said to Moses, Truly, destruction has come on us; an evil fate has overtaken us all.

⁸ And it came to pass, when on the morrow Moses went into the tent of the testimony, behold, the staff of Aaron for the house of Levi had budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and ripened almonds.

⁹ And Moses brought out all the staves from before Jehovah to all the children of Israel, and they looked and took each one his staff.

¹⁰ And Jehovah said to Moses, Bring Aaron's staff again before the testimony, to be kept as a token for the sons of rebellion, that thou mayest put an end to their murmurings before me, that they may not die.

¹¹ And Moses did so: as Jehovah had commanded him, so did he.

¹² And the children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, Lo, we expire, we perish, we all perish.

⁸ He returned on the following day, and found that the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi, was budded: and that the buds swelling it had bloomed blossoms, which spreading the leaves, were formed into almonds.

⁹ Moses therefore brought out all the rods from before the Lord to all the children of Israel: and they saw, and every one received their rods.

¹⁰ And the Lord said to Moses: Carry back the rod of Aaron into the tabernacle of the testimony, that it may be kept there for a token of the rebellious children of Israel, and that their complaints may cease from me lest they die.

¹¹ And Moses did as the Lord had commanded.

¹² And the children of Israel said to Moses: Behold we are consumed, we all perish.

⁸ The next day Moses went into the Tent of the Testimony and saw that Aaron's walking stick that represented the tribe of Levi, had sprouted and developed buds, flowered and produced almonds.

⁹ Moses took all the walking sticks from the presence of the Lord and showed them to all the Israelites. They saw them, and each man collected his own walking stick.

¹⁰ The Lord told Moses, “Put Aaron's walking stick back in front of the Testimony, to be kept there as a reminder to warn anyone who wants to rebel, so that you may stop their complaining against me. Otherwise they'll die.”

¹¹ Moses did what the Lord ordered him to do.

¹² Then the Israelites came and told Moses, “Can't you see we're all going to die? We'll be destroyed! We're all going to be killed!

⁸ And when Moses on the morow went into the Tabernacle of the Testimonie, beholde, the rod of Aaron for the house of Leui was budded, and brought forth buddes, and brought forth blossoms, and bare ripe almondes.

⁹ Then Moses brought out all the rods from before the Lord vnto all the children of Israel: and they looked vpon them, and tooke euery man his rodde.

¹⁰ After, the Lord said vnto Moses, Bring Aarons rod againe before the Testimonie to bee kept for a token to the rebellious children, and thou shalt cause their murmurings to cease from me, that they dye not.

¹¹ So Moses did as the Lord had commanded him: so did he.

¹² And the children of Israel spake vnto Moses, saying, Behold, we are dead, we perish, we are all lost:

⁸ (17-23) And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and put forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and bore ripe almonds.

⁹ (17-24) And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel; and they looked, and took every man his rod.

¹⁰ (17-25) And the LORD said unto Moses: 'Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept there, for a token against the rebellious children; that there may be made an end of their murmurings against Me, that they die not.'

¹¹ (17-26) Thus did Moses; as the LORD commanded him, so did he.

¹² (17-27) And the children of Israel spoke unto Moses, saying: 'Behold, we perish, we are undone, we are all undone.

¹² (17:27) And the children of Israel said unto Moses, thus, Behold, we perish, we are lost, we are all lost.

⁸ And Moses and Aaron went in, in front of the tabernacle of witness.

⁹ And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,

¹⁰ separate yourselves from the midst of this congregation, that I may now consume them. But they fell upon their faces.

¹¹ And Mosheh said to Aharon: Take the censer, and put fire upon it from the altar, and lay on sweet incense, and go quickly to the congregation, and make atonement for them; for anger hath gone forth from before the Lord, the plague hath begun.

¹² And Aharon took, as Mosheh had said, and ran into the midst of the congregation, and, behold, the plague had begun among the people; and he put on sweet incense and made atonement for the people.

⁸ On the next day, Moses Drawn out went into the Tent of the Testimony; and behold, Aaron Light-bringer’s rod for the house of Levi United with had sprouted, budded, produced blossoms, and bore ripe almonds.

⁹ Moses Drawn out brought out all the rods from before Adonai to all the children of Israel God prevails. They looked, and each man took his rod. (6)

¹⁰ Adonai said to Moses Drawn out, “Put back the rod of Aaron Light-bringer before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the children of rebellion; that you may make an end of their murmurings against me, that they not die.”

¹¹ Moses Drawn out did so. As Adonai enjoined him, so he did.

¹² The children of Israel God prevails spoke to Moses Drawn out, saying, “Behold, we perish! We are undone! We are all undone!

⁸ The next day Moses went into the tent of the covenant decrees and, behold, Aaron's staff for the tribe of Levi had budded. It grew buds and produced blossoms and ripe almonds!

⁹ Moses brought out all the staffs from before Yahweh to all the people of Israel, and each man took his staff.

¹⁰ Yahweh said to Moses, “Put Aaron's staff in front of the covenant decrees. Keep it as a sign of guilt against the people who rebelled so that you may end complaints against me, or they will die.”

¹¹ Moses did just as Yahweh had commanded him.

¹² The people of Israel spoke to Moses and said, “We will die here. We will all perish!

⁸ On the next day, Moses went into the Tent of the Testimony; and behold, Aaron’s rod for the house of Levi had sprouted, budded, produced blossoms, and bore ripe almonds.

⁸ he went again in the day pursuing or following, and found that the rod of Aaron, in the house of Levi, had burgeoned; and when the knops were great, the blossoms had broken out, which were alarged in leaves, and were formed into almonds.

⁹ Therefore Moses brought forth all the rods from the sight of the Lord to all the sons of Israel; and they saw, and received each his rod.

¹⁰ And the Lord said to Moses, Bear thou again the rod of Aaron into the tabernacle of witnessing, that it be kept there into a token of the rebel sons of Israel, and that their complainings, or grutchings, cease from me, lest they die.

¹¹ And Moses did, as the Lord commanded.

¹² Soothly the sons of Israel said to Moses, Lo! we be wasted, all we have perished;

⁸ he went again in the day following, and found that the rod of Aaron, in the house of Levi, had burgeoned; and when the knops were great, the blossoms had broken out, which were alarged in (the) leaves, and were formed into almonds. (he went back on the following day, and found that Aaron’s staff, for the house of Levi, had sprouted; and first the buds grew great, and then the blossoms broke out, and enlarged themselves amid the leaves, and then they were formed into almonds.)

⁹ Therefore Moses brought forth all the rods from the sight of the Lord to all the sons of Israel; and they saw, and received each his rod. (And so Moses brought out all the staffs from before the Lord to all the Israelites; and they looked at all of them, and then each man received back his own staff.)

¹⁰ And the Lord said to Moses, Bear thou again the rod of Aaron into the tabernacle of witnessing, that it be kept there into a token of the rebel sons of Israel, and that their complainings, or grouchings, cease from me, lest they die. (And the Lord said to Moses, Bring thou back Aaron’s staff into the Tabernacle of the Witnessing, so that it can be kept there as a sign, or as a warning, to all the rebellious Israelites, so that their complaints, or their grumblings, cease, or else they shall die.)

¹¹ And Moses did, as the Lord commanded.

¹² Soothly the sons of Israel said to Moses, Lo! we be wasted, all we have perished; (And the Israelites said to Moses, Behold! we be destroyed, and we all shall perish;)

⁸ and founde that the yerde of Aaron, `in the hows of Leuy, buriounnede; and whanne knoppis weren greet, the blossoms `hadden broke out, whiche weren alargid in leeuys, and weren fourmed in to alemaundis.

⁹ Therfor Moyses brouyte forth alle the yerdis fro the siyt of the Lord to al the sones of Israel; and thei sien, and resseyueden ech his yerde.

¹⁰ And the Lord seide to Moises, Bere ayen the yerde of Aaron in to the tabernacle of witnessyng, that it be kept there in to `the signe of the rebel sones of Israel, and that her `playntis reste fro me, lest thei dien.

¹¹ And Moises dide, as the Lord comaundide.

¹² Forsothe the sones of Israel seiden to Moises, Lo! we ben wastid, alle we perischiden;

⁸ And it cometh to pass, on the morrow, that Moses goeth in unto the tent of the testimony, and lo, the rod of Aaron hath flourished for the house of Levi, and is bringing out flourishing, and doth blossom blossoms, and doth produce almonds;

⁹ and Moses bringeth out all the rods from before Jehovah, unto all the sons of Israel, and they look, and take each his rod.

¹⁰ And Jehovah saith unto Moses, 'Put back the rod of Aaron, before the testimony, for a charge, for a sign to the sons of rebellion, and thou dost remove their murmurings from off me, and they do not die;'

¹¹ and Moses doth as Jehovah hath commanded him; so he hath done.

¹² And the sons of Israel speak unto Moses, saying, 'Lo, we have expired; we have perished; we have all of us perished;
