Numbers 15:17-36 in American Standard Version (1901)

17 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
18 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you,
19 then it shall be, that, when ye eat of the bread of the land, ye shall offer up a heave-offering unto Jehovah.
20 Of the first of your dough ye shall offer up a cake for a heave-offering: as the heave-offering of the threshing-floor, so shall ye heave it.
21 Of the first of your dough ye shall give unto Jehovah a heave-offering throughout your generations.
22 And when ye shall err, and not observe all these commandments, which Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses,
23 even all that Jehovah hath commanded you by Moses, from the day that Jehovah gave commandment, and onward throughout your generations;
24 then it shall be, if it be done unwittingly, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt-offering, for a sweet savor unto Jehovah, with the meal-offering thereof, and the drink-offering thereof, according to the ordinance, and one he-goat for a sin-offering.
25 And the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and they shall be forgiven; for it was an error, and they have brought their oblation, an offering made by fire unto Jehovah, and their sin-offering before Jehovah, for their error:
26 and all the congregation of the children of Israel shall be forgiven, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; for in respect of all the people it was done unwittingly.
27 And if one person sin unwittingly, then he shall offer a she-goat a year old for a sin-offering.
28 And the priest shall make atonement for the soul that erreth, when he sinneth unwittingly, before Jehovah, to make atonement for him; and he shall be forgiven.
29 Ye shall have one law for him that doeth aught unwittingly, for him that is home-born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.
30 But the soul that doeth aught with a high hand, whether he be home-born or a sojourner, the same blasphemeth Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
31 Because he hath despised the word of Jehovah, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him.
32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks upon the sabbath day.
33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
34 And they put him in ward, because it had not been declared what should be done to him.
35 And Jehovah said unto Moses, The man shall surely be put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him to death with stones; as Jehovah commanded Moses.

Numbers 15:17-36 in Brenton Septuagint Translation

17 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
18 Speak to the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, When ye are entering into the land, into which I bring you,
19 then it shall come to pass, when ye shall eat of the bread of the land, ye shall separate a wave-offering, a special offering to the Lord, the first-fruits of your dough.
20 Ye shall offer your bread a heave-offering: as a heave-offering from the threshing-floor, so shall ye separate it,
21 even the first-fruits of your dough, and ye shall give the Lord a heave-offering throughout your generations.
22 But whensoever ye shall transgress, and not perform all these commands, which the Lord spoke to Moses;
23 as the Lord appointed you by the hand of Moses, from the day which the Lord appointed you and forward throughout your generations,
24 then it shall come to pass, if a trespass be committed unwillingly, unknown to the congregation, then shall all the congregation offer a calf of the herd without blemish for a whole-burnt-offering of sweet savour to the Lord, and its meat-offering and its drink-offering according to the ordinance, and one kid of the goats for a sin-offering.
25 And the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the trespass shall be forgiven them, because it is involuntary; and they have brought their gift, a burnt-offering to the Lord for their trespass before the Lord, even for their involuntary sins.
26 And it shall be forgiven as respects all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that is abiding among you, because it is involuntary to all the people.
27 And if one soul sin unwillingly, he shall bring one she-goat of a year old for a sin-offering.
28 And the priest shall make atonement for the soul that committed the trespass unwillingly, and that sinned unwillingly before the Lord, to make atonement for him.
29 There shall be one law for the native among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that abides among them, whosoever shall commit a trespass unwillingly.
30 And whatever soul either of the natives or of the strangers shall do any thing with a presumptuous hand, he will provoke God; that soul shall be cut off from his people,
31 for he has set at nought the word of the Lord and broken his commands: that soul shall be utterly destroyed, his sin is upon him.
32 And the children of Israel were in the wilderness, and they found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath-day.
33 And they who found him gathering sticks on the sabbath-day brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel.
34 And they placed him in custody, for they did not determine what they should do to him.
35 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Let the man be by all means put to death: do ye all the congregation, stone him with stones.
36 And all the congregation brought him forth out of the camp; and all the congregation stoned him with stones outside the camp, as the Lord commanded Moses.

Numbers 15:17-36 in Translation for Translators

17 Yahweh also said to Moses/me,
18 “Tell these instructions to the Israeli people: Yahweh says this: ❛When you arrive in the land to which I am taking you,
19 and you eat the crops that are growing there, you must set some of them aside to be a sacred offering to me.
20 Each year set aside some of the first grain that you gather after you have threshed it. Bake a loaf of bread from the first flour that you grind and bring it to me to be a sacred offering.
21 Every year, you and your descendants must continue to make and bring to me a loaf of bread baked MTY with flour from the first part of the grain that you harvest.”
22 “There may be times when you Israelis do not obey all these instructions that I have given to Moses to tell you, but not because you intended to disobey them.
23 There may be times when some of your descendants do not obey all these instructions that I have given to Moses to tell to you.
24 If you or they sin by forgetting to obey these instructions and none of the Israeli people realize that they were doing that, one young bull as an offering for all the people must be brought to the priest. That will be pleasing to me when it is burned on the altar. They must also bring to me a grain offering and an offering of wine, and a male goat, to be sacrificed to enable me to forgive them for the sins they have committed.
25 By offering these sacrifices, the priest will make atonement for all of you Israeli people. Then, as a result of their bringing to me an offering to be burned on the altar, ◄you will be forgiven/I will forgive you►, because you sinned without realizing that you were sinning.
26 You Israeli people and the foreigners who are living among you will all be forgiven.
27 If one person commits a sin without realizing that he was sinning, that person must bring to me a female goat to be an offering to enable me to forgive that person for the sins that person has committed.
28 The priest will offer it to be a sacrifice to remove the guilt of that person, and that person will be forgiven.
29 You Israelis and all the foreigners who live among you must obey these same instructions.
30 But those who disobey my commands ◄deliberately/because they want to►, both Israelis and the foreigany moreners who live among you, have sinned against me by doing that. So ◄they must be expelled/you must expel them► from your camp.
31 They have despised my commands and deliberately disobeyed them, so they must be punished for their sin by not being allowed to live among you anymore.”
32 One day, while the Israelis were in the desert, some of them saw a man who was gathering firewood on the Sabbath/rest day.
33 Those who saw him doing that brought him to Aaron and Moses/me and the rest of the Israeli people.
34 They guarded him carefully, because they did not know what to do to punish him.
35 Then Yahweh said to Moses/me, “The man must be executed. All of you must kill him by throwing stones at him outside the camp.”
36 So they all took the man outside the camp and killed him by throwing stones at him, as Yahweh had commanded Moses/me that they should do.

Numbers 15 in World English Bible British Edition with Deuterocanon

Numbers 15:17-36 in Bible in Basic English

17 And the Lord said to Moses,
18 Say to the children of Israel, When you come into the land where I am guiding you,
19 Then, when you take for your food the produce of the land, you are to give an offering lifted up before the Lord.
20 Of the first of your rough meal you are to give a cake for a lifted offering, lifting it up before the Lord as the offering of the grain-floor is lifted up.
21 From generation to generation you are to give to the Lord a lifted offering from the first of your rough meal.
22 And if in error you go against any of these laws which the Lord has given to Moses,
23 All the laws which the Lord has given you by the hand of Moses, from the day when the Lord gave them, and ever after from generation to generation;
24 Then, if the wrong is done in error, without the knowledge of the meeting of the people, let all the meeting give a young ox as a burned offering, a sweet smell to the Lord, with its meal offering and its drink offering, as is ordered in the law, together with a he-goat for a sin-offering.
25 So the priest will make the people free from sin, and they will have forgiveness; for it was an error, and they have given their offering made by fire to the Lord, and their sin-offering before the Lord, on account of their error:
26 And all the meeting of the children of Israel, as well as those from other lands living among them, will have forgiveness; for it was an error on the part of the people.
27 And if one person does wrong, without being conscious of it, then let him give a she-goat of the first year for a sin-offering.
28 And the priest will take away the sin of the person who has done wrong, if the wrong was done unconsciously, and he will have forgiveness.
29 The law in connection with wrong done unconsciously is to be the same for him who is an Israelite by birth and for the man from another country who is living among them.
30 But the person who does wrong in the pride of his heart, if he is one of you or of another nation by birth, is acting without respect for the Lord, and will be cut off from his people.
31 Because he had no respect for the word of the Lord, and did not keep his law, that man will be cut off without mercy and his sin will be on him.
32 Now while the children of Israel were in the waste land, they saw a man who was getting sticks on the Sabbath day.
33 And those who saw him getting sticks took him before Moses and Aaron and all the people.
34 And they had him shut up, because they had no directions about what was to be done with him.
35 Then the Lord said to Moses, Certainly the man is to be put to death: let him be stoned by all the people outside the tent-circle.
36 So all the people took him outside the tent-circle and he was stoned to death there, as the Lord gave orders to Moses.

Numbers 15:17-36 in Darby Translation

17 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
18 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you,
19 then it shall be, when ye eat of the bread of the land, that ye shall offer a heave-offering to Jehovah;
20 the first of your dough shall ye offer, a cake, for a heave-offering; as the heave-offering of the threshing-floor, so shall ye offer this.
21 Of the first of your dough ye shall give to Jehovah a heave-offering throughout your generations.
22 And if ye sin inadvertently, and do not all these commandments, which Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses,
23 all that Jehovah hath commanded you through Moses, from the day that Jehovah gave commandment, and henceforward throughout your generations;
24 then it shall be, if ought be committed by inadvertence hid from the eyes of the assembly, that the whole assembly shall offer one young bullock for a burnt-offering, for a sweet odour to Jehovah, and its oblation and its drink-offering according to the ordinance, and one buck of the goats for a sin-offering.
25 And the priest shall make atonement for the whole assembly of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it was a sin of inadvertence, and they have brought before Jehovah their offering, as an offering by fire to Jehovah, and their sin-offering for their sin of inadvertence;
26 and it shall be forgiven the whole assembly of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; for with all the people there was a sin of inadvertence.
27 And if one soul sin through inadvertence, then he shall present a yearling she-goat for a sin-offering.
28 And the priest shall make atonement for the soul that hath done inadvertently, when he sinneth by inadvertence before Jehovah, to make atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.
29 For him that is born in the land among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them — there shall be one law for you, for him who doeth anything through inadvertence.
30 But the soul that doeth ought with a high hand, whether born in the land, or a stranger, he reproacheth Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
31 For he hath despised the word of Jehovah, and hath broken his commandment: that soul shall surely be cut off; his iniquity is upon him.
32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness they found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath day.
33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to the whole assembly.
34 And they put him in custody, for it was not declared what should be done to him.
35 And Jehovah said to Moses, The man shall certainly be put to death: the whole assembly shall stone him with stones outside the camp.
36 And the whole assembly led him outside the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

Numbers 15:17-36 in Douay-Rheims 1899

17 Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them:
18 When you are come into the land which I will give you,
19 And shall eat of the bread of that country, you shall separate firstfruits to the Lord,
20 Of the things you eat. As you separate firstfruits of your barnfloors:
21 So also shall you give firstfruits of your dough to the Lord.
22 And if through ignorance you omit any of these things, which the Lord hath spoken to Moses,
23 And by him hath commanded you, from the day that he began to command and thenceforward,
24 And the multitude have forgotten to do it: they shall offer a calf out of the herd, a holocaust for a most sweet savour to the Lord, and the sacrifice and libations thereof, as the ceremonies require, and a buck goat for sin:
25 And the priest shall pray for all the multitude of the children of Israel: and it shall be forgiven them, because they sinned ignorantly, offering notwithstanding a burnt offering to the Lord for themselves and for their sin and their ignorance:
26 And it shall be forgiven all the people of the children of Israel: and the strangers that sojourn among them: because it is the fault of all the people through ignorance.
27 But if one soul shall sin ignorantly, he shall offer a she goat of a year old for his sin.
28 And the priest shall pray for him, because he sinned ignorantly before the Lord: and he shall obtain his pardon, and it shall be forgiven him.
29 The same law shall be for all that sin by ignorance, whether they be natives or strangers.
30 But the soul that committeth any thing through pride, whether he be born in the land or a stranger (because he hath been rebellious against the Lord) shall be cut off from among his people:
31 For he hath contemned the word the Lord, and made void his precept: therefore shall he be destroyed, and shall bear his iniquity.
32 And it came to pass, when the children of Israel were in the wilderness, and had found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath day,
33 That they brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole multitude.
34 And they put him into prison, not knowing what they should do with him.
35 And the Lord said to Moses: Let that man die, let all the multitude stone him without the camp.
36 And when they had brought him out, they stoned him, and he died as the Lord had commanded.

Numbers 15:17-36 in Free Bible Version

17 Then the Lord told Moses,
18 “Tell the Israelites, ‘When you get to the country where I'm leading you
19 and you eat the food produced there, you shall give some of it as an offering to the Lord.
20 You are to give some of the flour you make into loaves as a gift—present it just like an offering from the threshing floor.
21 For all future generations, you are to give the Lord an offering from the first of your flour.
22 Now if you collectively sin without meaning to and don't follow all these instructions that the Lord has given Moses—
23 everything that the Lord has ordered you to do through Moses from the time that the Lord gave them and for all future generations—
24 and if it was done unintentionally without everyone knowing about it, then the whole congregation is to present a young bull as a burnt offering to be accepted by the Lord, along with its grain offering and drink offering presented according to the rules, as well as a male goat as a sin offering.
25 In this way the priest is to make the whole congregation of Israel right with the Lord so that they can be forgiven, because the sin was unintentional and they have presented the Lord with an burnt offering and a sin offering, offered before the Lord for their unintentional sin.
26 Then the whole congregation of Israel and the foreigners living among them will be forgiven, because the people sinned unintentionally.
27 In the case of an individual who sins without meaning to—they are to present a year-old female goat as a sin offering.
28 The priest will make the person who sinned unintentionally right before the Lord their behalf. Once they have been made right, they will be forgiven.
29 You shall apply the same law for the one who mistakenly sins to an Israelite or a foreigner living among you.
30 But the person who sins in defiance, whether an Israelite or foreigner, is blaspheming the Lord. They shall be expelled from their people.
31 They have to be expelled, because they have treated the word of the Lord with contempt and broken his commandment. They are responsible for the consequences of their own guilt.’”
32 During the time the Israelites were wandering in the desert, a man was caught collecting firewood on the Sabbath.
33 The people who found him collecting wood brought him before Moses, Aaron, and the rest of the Israelites.
34 They placed him under guard because it wasn't clear what should happen to him.
35 The Lord told Moses, “This man has to be executed. All the Israelites are to stone him outside the camp.”
36 So they all took the man outside the camp and stoned him to death as the Lord had ordered Moses.

19 then it shall come to pass, when ye shall eat of the bread of the land, ye shall separate a wave offering, a special offering to the Lord, the firstfruits of your dough.

Numbers 15:17-36 in Unlocked Literal Bible

17 Again Yahweh spoke to Moses. He said,
18 “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, 'When you come into the land where I will take you,
19 when you eat the food produced in the land, you must offer an offering and present it to me.
20 From the first of your dough you must offer a loaf to raise it up as a raised offering from the threshing floor. You must raise it up in this way.
21 You must give to me a raised offering throughout your people's generations from the first of your dough.
22 You will sometimes sin without intending to do so, when you do not obey all these commands that I have spoken to Moses—
23 everything that I have commanded you through Moses from the day that I began to give you commands and onward throughout your people's generations.
24 In the case of unintentional sin without the community's knowledge, then all the community must offer one young bull as a burnt offering to produce a sweet aroma for Yahweh. Along with this must be made a grain offering and drink offering, as commanded by the decree, and one male goat as a sin offering.
25 The priest must make atonement for all the community of the people of Israel. They will be forgiven because the sin was an error. They have brought their sacrifice, an offering made by fire to me. They have brought their sin offering before me for their error.
26 Then all the community of the people of Israel will be forgiven, and also the foreigners who are staying with them, because all the people committed the sin unintentionally.
27 If a person sins unintentionally, then he must offer a female goat a year old as a sin offering.
28 The priest must make atonement before Yahweh for the person who sins unintentionally. That person will be forgiven when atonement has been made.
29 You must have the same law for the one who does anything unintentionally, the same law for the one who is native born among the people of Israel and for the foreigners who are staying among them.
30 But the person who does anything in defiance, whether he is native born or a foreigner, blasphemes me. That person must be cut off from among his people.
31 Because he has despised my word and has broken my commandment, that person must be cut off completely. His sin will be on him.'”
32 While the people of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day.
33 Those who found him brought him to Moses, Aaron, and all the community.
34 They kept him in custody because it had not been declared what should be done with him.
35 Then Yahweh said to Moses, “The man must surely be put to death. All the community must stone him with stones outside the camp.”
36 So all the community brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death as Yahweh had commanded Moses.

25 And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire to the LORD, and their sin-offering before the LORD, for their ignorance:

29 Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.
30 But the soul that doeth aught presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

17 And the Lord spake to Moses, and said,
18 Speak thou to the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, When ye come into the land which I shall give to you,
19 and ye eat of the loaves of that country, ye shall separate a little cake of your pastes to the Lord;
20 as ye shall separate the first fruits of your cornfloors,
21 so ye shall give the first fruits also of your sowls or pottage to the Lord.
22 That if by ignorance ye pass by any of those things which the Lord spake to Moses,
23 and hath commanded by him to you, from the day in which he began to command, and over,
24 and the multitude hath forgotten to do this, it shall offer a calf of the drove, burnt sacrifice into sweetest odour to the Lord, and the sacrifices thereof, and flowing offerings, as the ceremonies thereof ask; and it shall offer a buck of goats for sin.
25 And the priest shall pray for all the multitude of the sons of Israel, and it shall be forgiven to them, for they sinned not willfully. And nevertheless they shall offer incense to the Lord for themselves, and for their sin, and their error;
26 and it shall be forgiven to all the people of the sons of Israel, and to the comelings that be pilgrims among them, for it is the sin of all the multitude by ignorance.
27 That if a soul sinneth unwittingly, it shall offer a she-goat of one year for his sin;
28 and the priest shall pray for that soul, for it sinned unwittingly before the Lord; and the priest shall get forgiveness to it, and the sin shall be forgiven to it.
29 As well to men born in the land, as to comelings, one law shall be of all that sin unwittingly.
30 Forsooth a man that doeth any sin by pride, shall perish from the people, whether he be a citizen, either a pilgrim, for he was rebel against the Lord;
31 for he despised the word of the Lord, and made void his command-ment; therefore he shall be done away, and shall bear his own wickedness.
32 Soothly it was done, when the sons of Israel were in wilderness, and they had found a man gathering wood in the sabbath day,
33 they brought him to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the multitude;
34 the which enclosed, or put, him into prison, and they knew not what they should do to him.

19 and ye eat of the loaves of that country, ye shall separate a little cake of your pastes to the Lord; (and ye eat of the food of that land, ye shall set apart a little cake as a contribution to the Lord;)
20 as ye shall separate the first fruits of your cornfloors, (as ye shall set apart the first fruits from your threshing floors,)
21 so ye shall give the first fruits also of your sowls to the Lord. (so ye shall also give the first fruits of your dough to the Lord.)
22 That if by ignorance ye pass (over) any of those things which the Lord spake to Moses, (And if, by ignorance, ye forget to do any of these things which the Lord spoke to Moses,)
23 and hath commanded by him to you, from the day in which he began to command (to Moses), and over (or and thereafter),
24 and the multitude hath forgotten to do this, it shall offer a calf of the drove, (for) burnt sacrifice into sweetest odour to the Lord, and the sacrifices thereof, and (the) flowing offerings, as the ceremonies thereof ask; and it shall offer a buck of (the) goats for sin. (but the multitude hath forgotten to do this, they shall offer a calf from the herd, for a burnt sacrifice, to make the sweetest aroma to the Lord, with its grain and wine offerings, as such ceremonies require; and they shall offer a goat buck for a sin offering.)
25 And the priest shall pray for all the multitude of the sons of Israel, and it shall be forgiven to them, for they sinned not willfully. And nevertheless they shall offer incense to the Lord for themselves, and for their sin, and their error; (And the priest shall make amends for all the multitude of the Israelites, and it shall be forgiven to them, for they did not sin willfully, or intentionally. And they have now offered incense to the Lord for themselves, yea, a sin offering for their error;)
26 and it shall be forgiven to all the people of the sons of Israel, and to the comelings that be pilgrims among them, for it is the sin of all the multitude by ignorance. (and so it shall be forgiven to all the people of the Israelites, and to the foreigners who be newcomers among them, for it is a sin of ignorance by all the multitude.)
27 That if a soul sinneth unwittingly, it shall offer a she-goat of one year for his sin; (And if someone sinneth unwittingly, he shall offer a one-year-old she-goat, for his sin offering;)
28 and the priest shall pray for that soul, for it sinned unwittingly before the Lord; and the priest shall get forgiveness to it, and the sin shall be forgiven to him. 29 As well to men born in the land, as to comelings, one law shall be of all that sin unwittingly. (Yea, for men born in the land, as well as for newcomers, one law shall be for all who sin unwittingly, or unintentionally.)
30 Forsooth a man that doeth any sin by pride, shall perish from the people, whether he be a citizen, either a pilgrim, for he was rebel against the Lord; (But anyone who doeth any sin by pride, shall be cut off from the people or shall be put to death, whether he is a citizen, or a foreigner, for he rebelled against the Lord;)
31 for he despised the word of the Lord, and made void his commandment; therefore he shall be done away (or and so he shall be cut off, or and so he shall be put to death), and shall bear his own wickedness.
32 Soothly it was done, when the sons of Israel were in wilderness, and they had found a man gathering wood in the sabbath day, (And it was done, when the Israelites were still in the wilderness, and they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day,)
33 they brought him to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the multitude;
34 the which closed, or put, him into prison, and they knew not what they should do to him. (and they enclosed him in prison, and they did not know what they should do with him.)
35 And the Lord said to Moses, This man die by death; all the company oppress him with stones without the tents. (And the Lord said to Moses, This man must be put to death; take him away from the tents, and have all the people kill him with stones.)
36 And when they had led him withoutforth, they killed him with stones, and (so) he was dead, as the Lord commanded (to Moses).

Numbers 15:17-36 in Young's Literal Translation

17 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
18 'Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, In your coming in unto the land whither I am bringing you in,
19 then it hath been, in your eating of the bread of the land, ye heave up a heave-offering to Jehovah;
20 the beginning of your dough a cake ye heave up — a heave-offering; as the heave-offering of a threshing-floor, so ye do heave it.
21 Of the beginning of your dough ye do give to Jehovah a heave-offering — to your generations.
22 'And when ye err, and do not all these commands which Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses,
23 the whole that Jehovah hath charged upon you by the hand of Moses, from the day that Jehovah hath commanded, and henceforth, to your generations,
24 then it hath been, if from the eyes of the company it hath been done in ignorance, that all the company have prepared one bullock, a son of the herd, for a burnt-offering, for sweet fragrance to Jehovah, and its present, and its libation, according to the ordinance, and one kid of the goats for a sin-offering.
25 'And the priest hath made atonement for all the company of the sons of Israel, and it hath been forgiven them, for it is ignorance, and they — they have brought in their offering, a fire-offering to Jehovah, even their sin-offering before Jehovah for their ignorance;
26 and it hath been forgiven to all the company of the sons of Israel, and to the sojourner who is sojourning in their midst; for to all the company it is done in ignorance.
27 'And if one person sin in ignorance, then he hath brought near a she-goat, daughter of a year, for a sin-offering;
28 and the priest hath made atonement for the person who is erring, in his sinning in ignorance before Jehovah, by making atonement for him, and it hath been forgiven him;
29 for the native among the sons of Israel, and for the sojourner who is sojourning in their midst — one law is to you, for him who is doing anything through ignorance.
30 'And the person who doth aught with a high hand — of the native or of the sojourner — Jehovah he is reviling, and that person hath been cut off from the midst of his people;
31 because the word of Jehovah he despised, and His command hath broken — that person is certainly cut off; his iniquity is on him.'
32 And the sons of Israel are in the wilderness, and they find a man gathering wood on the sabbath-day,
33 and those finding him gathering wood bring him near unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto all the company,
34 and they place him in ward, for it is not explained what is to be done to him.
35 And Jehovah saith unto Moses, 'The man is certainly put to death, all the company stoning him with stones, at the outside of the camp.'
36 And all the company bring him out unto the outside of the camp, and stone him with stones, and he dieth, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
