²⁰ And Jehovah said, I have pardoned according to thy word:

²¹ but in very deed, as I live, and as all the earth shall be filled with the glory of Jehovah;

²² because all those men that have seen my glory, and my signs, which I wrought in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have tempted me these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;

²³ surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that despised me see it:

²⁴ but my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.

²⁵ Now the Amalekite and the Canaanite dwell in the valley: to-morrow turn ye, and get you into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea.

²⁶ And Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

²⁷ How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, that murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.

²⁸ Say unto them, As I live, saith Jehovah, surely as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:

²⁹ your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, that have murmured against me,

³⁰ surely ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware that I would make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

³¹ But your little ones, that ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have rejected.

³² But as for you, your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness.

³³ And your children shall be wanderers in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your whoredoms, until your dead bodies be consumed in the wilderness.

²⁰ And the Lord said to Moses, I am gracious to them according to thy word.

²¹ But as I live and my name is living, so the glory of the Lord shall fill all the earth.

²² For all the men who see my glory, and the signs which I wrought in Egypt, and in the wilderness, and have tempted me this tenth time, and have not hearkened to my voice,

²³ surely they shall not see the land, which I sware to their fathers; but their children which are with me here, as many as know not good or evil, every inexperienced youth, to them will I give the land; but none who have provoked me shall see it.

²⁵ But Amalec and the Chananite dwell in the valley: to-morrow turn and depart for the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.

²⁶ And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,

²⁷ How long shall I endure this wicked congregation? I have heard their murmurings against me, even the murmuring of the children of Israel, which they have murmured concerning you.

²⁸ Say to them, As I live, saith the Lord: surely as ye spoke into my ears, so will I do to you.

²⁹ Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all those of you that were reviewed, and those of you that were numbered from twenty years old and upward, all that murmured against me,

³⁰ ye shall not enter into the land for which I stretched out my hand to establish you upon it; except only Chaleb the son of Jephonne, and Joshua the son of Naue.

³¹ And your little ones, who ye said should be a prey, them will I bring into the land; and they shall inherit the land, which ye rejected.

³² And your carcases shall fall in this wilderness.

³³ And your sons shall be fed in the wilderness forty years, and they shall bear your fornication, until your carcases be consumed in the wilderness.

³² But as for you, your carcases shall fall in this wilderness.

³³ And your children shall be wanderers in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be consumed in the wilderness.

²⁰ Then Yahweh replied, “I have forgiven them, as you requested me to.

²¹ But, just as certainly as I live and that people all over the world can see my ◄glory/glorious power►, I solemnly declare this:

²² All these people saw my glory and all the miracles that I performed in Egypt and in the desert, but they disobeyed me, and many times they tested whether they could continue to do evil things without my punishing them.

²³ Because of that, not one of them will see the land that I promised their ancestors that I would give to them. No one who rejected me will see that land.

²⁴ But Caleb, who serves me well, is different from the others. He obeys me completely. So I will bring him into that land that he has already seen, and his descendants will inherit/possess some of it.

²⁵ So, since the descendants of Amalek and Canaan who are living in the valleys in Canaan are very strong, when you leave here tomorrow, instead of traveling toward Canaan, go back along the road through the desert towards the Red Sea.”

²⁶ Then Yahweh said to Aaron and Moses/me,

²⁷ “How long will the wicked people of this nation keep complaining about me RHQ? I have heard everything that they have grumbled/complained against me.

²⁸ So now tell them this: ‘Just as certainly as I, Yahweh, live, I will do exactly what you said would happen.

²⁹ I will cause all of you to die here in this desert! Because you grumbled about me, none of you who are more than twenty years old and who were counted when Moses counted everyone

³⁰ will enter the land that I solemnly promised to give to you. Only Caleb and Joshua will enter that land.

³¹ You said that your children would be taken from you to become slaves, but I will take them into the land, and they will enjoy living in the land that you ◄rejected/said that you could not conquer►.

³² But as for you adults, you will die here in this desert.

³³ And like shepherds wander around in the desert as they take care of their sheep, your children will wander around in this desert for forty years. Because you adults were not loyal/faithful to me, your children will suffer until you all die in the desert.

²⁰ And the Lord said to Moses, I am gracious to them according to your word.

³³ Your children shall be wanderers in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your prostitution, until your dead bodies are consumed in the wilderness.

²⁰ And the Lord said, I have had mercy, as you say:

²¹ But truly, as I am living, and as all the earth will be full of the glory of the Lord;

²² Because all these men, having seen my glory and the signs which I have done in Egypt and in the waste land, still have put me to the test ten times, and have not given ear to my voice;

²³ They will not see the land about which I made an oath to their fathers; not one of these by whom I have not been honoured will see it.

²⁴ But my servant Caleb, because he had a different spirit in him, and has been true to me with all his heart, him I will take into that land into which he went, and his seed will have it for their heritage.

²⁵ Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites are in the valley; tomorrow, turning round, go into the waste land by the way to the Red Sea.

²⁶ Then the Lord said to Moses and Aaron,

²⁷ How long am I to put up with this evil people and their outcries against me? The words which they say against me have come to my ears.

²⁸ Say to them, By my life, says the Lord, as certainly as your words have come to my ears, so certainly will I do this to you:

²⁹ Your dead bodies will be stretched out in this waste land; and of all your number, all those of twenty years old and over who have been crying out against me,

³⁰ Not one will come into the land which I gave my word you would have for your resting-place, but only Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua, the son of Nun.

³¹ And your little ones, whom you said would come into strange hands, I will take in, and they will see the land which you would not have.

³² But as for you, your dead bodies will be stretched in this waste land.

³³ And your children will be wanderers in the waste land for forty years, undergoing punishment for your false ways, till your bodies become dust in the waste land.

²⁰ And Jehovah said, I have pardoned according to thy word.

²¹ But as surely as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of Jehovah!

²² for all those men who have seen my glory, and my signs, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice,

²³ shall in no wise see the land which I did swear unto their fathers: none of them that despised me shall see it.

²⁴ But my servant Caleb, because he hath another spirit in him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he came; and his seed shall possess it.

²⁵ (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwell in the valley.) To-morrow turn you, and take your journey into the wilderness, on the way to the Red sea.

²⁶ And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

²⁷ How long shall I bear with this evil assembly, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.

²⁸ Say unto them, As surely as I live, saith Jehovah, if I do not do unto you as ye have spoken in mine ears!

²⁹ In this wilderness shall your carcases fall; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number from twenty years old and upwards, who have murmured against me,

³⁰ shall in no wise come into the land, concerning which I have lifted up my hand to make you dwell in it; save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

²⁴ My servant Caleb, who being full of another spirit hath followed me, I will bring into this land which he hath gone round: and his seed shall possess it.

²⁵ For the Amalecite and the Chanaanite dwell in the valleys. Tomorrow remove the camp, and return into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.

²⁶ And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:

²⁷ How long doth this wicked multitude murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel.

²⁸ Say therefore to them: As I live, saith the Lord: According as you have spoken in my hearing, so will I do to you.

²⁹ In the wilderness shall your carcasses lie. All you that were numbered from twenty years old and upward, and have murmured against me,

³⁰ Shall not enter into the land, over which I lifted up my bend to make you dwell therein, except Caleb the son of Jephone, and Josue the son of Nun.

³¹ But your children, of whom you said, that they should be a prey to the enemies, will I bring in: that they may see the land which you have despised.

³² Your carcasses shall lie in the wilderness.

³³ Your children shall wander in the desert forty years, and shall bear your fornication, until the carcasses of their fathers be consumed ill the desert,

²⁰ “I have forgiven them as you asked,” the Lord replied.

²¹ “But even so, as I live and as the whole earth is filled with the Lord's glory,

²² not a single one of the those who saw my glory and the miracles I did in Egypt and in the desert—but provoked me and refused to obey me time and time again—

²³ not a single one of them is ever going to see the country I promised to give their forefathers. None of those who rejected me will see it.

²⁴ But because my servant Caleb has a totally different spirit and is fully committed to me, I will lead him to the country he visited, and his descendants will own it.

²⁵ Since the Amalekites and Canaanites are living in the valleys, tomorrow you are to turn around and head back into the desert, taking the route towards the Red Sea.”

²⁶ The Lord told Moses and Aaron,

²⁷ “How much longer are these wicked people going to criticize me? I've heard what they're saying, making complaints against me.

²⁸ Go and tell them, ‘As I live, declares the Lord, I'll do just what I heard you say you wanted, believe me!

²⁹ All of you will die in this desert, everyone who was registered in the census that counted those aged twenty or over, because you made complaints against me.

³⁰ Absolutely none of you will enter the country I promised to give you to live in, except for Caleb, son of Jephunneh, and Joshua, son of Nun.

³¹ However, I will take your children—those you said would be taken away as plunder—into the country you rejected, and they will appreciate it.

³² But you—you are all going to die in this desert.

³³ Your children will wander in the desert for forty years, suffering because of your lack of trust until all your bodies lie buried in the desert.

²⁰ And the Lord said, I haue forgiuen it, according to thy request.

²¹ Notwithstanding, as I liue, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.

²² For all those men which haue seene my glory, and my miracles which I did in Egypt, and in the wildernes, and haue tempted me this ten times, and haue not obeyed my voyce,

²³ Certainely they shall not see the lande, whereof I sware vnto their fathers: neither shall any that prouoke me, see it.

²⁴ But my seruant Caleb, because he had another spirite, and hath followed me stil, euen him will I bring into the lande, whither he went, and his seede shall inherite it.

²⁵ Nowe the Amalekites and the Canaanites remaine in the valley: wherefore turne backe to morowe, and get you into the wildernesse, by the way of the red Sea.

²⁶ After, the Lord spake vnto Moses and to Aaron, saying,

²⁷ How long shall I suffer this wicked multitude to murmure against me? I haue heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmure against me.

²⁸ Tell them, As I liue (saith the Lord) I wil surely do vnto you, euen as ye haue spoken in mine eares.

²⁹ Your carkeises shall fall in this wildernes, and all you that were counted through all your nombers, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, which haue murmured against me,

³⁰ Ye shall not doubtles come into the land, for the which I lifted vp mine hande, to make you dwell therein, saue Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh, and Ioshua the sonne of Nun.

³¹ But your children, (which ye said shoulde be a pray) them will I bring in, and they shall knowe the lande which ye haue refused:

³² But euen your carkeises shall fall in this wildernes,

³³ And your children shall wander in the wildernesse, fourtie yeeres, and shall beare your whoredomes, vntill your carkeises be wasted in the wildernesse.

²⁰ And the LORD said: 'I have pardoned according to thy word.

²¹ But in very deed, as I live — and all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD —

²² surely all those men that have seen My glory, and My signs, which I wrought in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have put Me to proof these ten times, and have not hearkened to My voice;

²³ surely they shall not see the land which I swore unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that despised Me see it.

²⁴ But My servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed Me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.

²⁵ Now the Amalekite and the Canaanite dwell in the Vale; tomorrow turn ye, and get you into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea.'

²⁶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying:

²⁷ 'How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, that keep murmuring against Me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they keep murmuring against Me.

²⁸ Say unto them: As I live, saith the LORD, surely as ye have spoken in Mine ears, so will I do to you:

²⁹ your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness, and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, ye that have murmured against Me;

³⁰ surely ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I lifted up My hand that I would make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

³¹ But your little ones, that ye said would be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have rejected.

³² But as for you, your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness.

³³ And your children shall be wanderers in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your strayings, until your carcasses be consumed in the wilderness.

²⁰ And the Lord said, I have pardoned according to thy word:

²⁵ And the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwell in the valley: tomorrow turn you, and set forward into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea.

²⁶ And the Lord spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

²⁷ How long shall indulgence be given to this evil congregation, that murmur against me? the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me, have I heard.

²⁸ Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in my ears, so will I do to you:

²⁹ In this wilderness shall your carcasses fall, and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward; ye who have murmured against me;

²³ surely they shall not see the land, which I swore to their fathers; but their children which are with me here, as many as know not good or evil, every inexperienced youth, to them will I give the land; but none who have provoked me shall see it.

²⁴ But my servant Caleb, because there was another spirit in him, and he followed me, I will bring him into the land into which he entered, and his seed shall inherit it.

²⁵ But Amalek and the Canaanite dwell in the valley: tomorrow turn and depart for the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.

²⁶ And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,

²⁷ How long shall I endure this wicked congregation? I have heard their murmurings against me, even the murmuring of the children of Israel, which they have murmured concerning you.

²⁸ Say to them, As I live, saith the Lord: surely as ye spoke into my ears, so will I do to you.

²⁹ Your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness; and all those of you that were reviewed, and those of you that were numbered from twenty years old and upward, all that murmured against me,

³⁰ ye shall not enter into the land for which I stretched out my hand to establish you upon it; except only Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

³¹ And your little ones, who ye said should be a prey, them will I bring into the land; and they shall inherit the land, which ye rejected.

³² And your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness.

³³ And your sons shall be fed in the wilderness forty years, and they shall bear your fornication, until your carcasses be consumed in the wilderness.

²⁰ And the Lord said, I have pardoned according to thy word.

²¹ Yet, as I live, with the glory of the Lord shall all the earth be filled.

²² Because all these men who have seen My glory, and the signs I wrought in Mizraim and in the desert, but have tempted before Me these ten times, and have not been obedient to My Word,

²³ if they shall see the land which I covenanted to their fathers, nor shall any see it who have provoked before Me.

²⁴ But My servant Kaleb, for that there was in him another spirit, and that he hath wholly followed (in) My fear, him will I bring into the land whither he went, and his children shall possess it.

²⁵ Now the Amalkaah and the Kenaanaah dwelt in the valley. Tomorrow, turn you and get you to the wilderness by the way of the Sea of Suph.

²⁶ And the Lord spake with Mosheh and unto Aharon, saying:

²⁷ How long shall this evil congregation be murmuring against Me? The murmuring of the sons of Israel which they murmur against Me is heard before Me.

²⁸ Say to them, As I live, saith the Lord, even as ye have spoken before Me, so will I do to you.

²⁹ In this wilderness shall your carcases fall, and all who are numbered of you, of all your numbers, from one of twenty years and upward who have murmured against me.

³⁰ If you shall come into the land in which I covenanted in My Word to cause you to dwell, except Kaleb bar Jephuneh, and Jehoshua bar Nun.

³¹ But your children, of whom you said they were for a prey, will I bring in, and they shall know the land which you have abhorred.

³² But your carcases shall fall in this wilderness;

³³ And your children shall go about in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your iniquities until your carcases be laid in the wilderness.

²⁰ Adonai said, “I have pardoned according to your word:

²¹ but in very deed, as I live, and as all the earth shall be filled with the kavod Yahweh ·weighty glory of He sustains breathing·;

²² because all those men who have seen my glory, and my signs, which I worked in Egypt Abode of slavery and in the wilderness, yet have tempted me these ten times, and have not sh'ma ·heard obeyed· my voice;

²⁵ Since the Amalekite Descendant of Man who licks up and the Canaanite Descendant of Humbled dwell in the valley, tomorrow turn, and go into the wilderness by the way to the Sea of Suf Reed Sea.” (4)

²⁶ Adonai spoke to Moses Drawn out and to Aaron Light-bringer, saying,

²⁷ “How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, that murmur against me? I have sh'ma ·heard obeyed· the murmurings of the children of Israel God prevails, which they murmur against me.

²⁸ Tell them, ‘As I live, says Adonai , surely as you have spoken in my ears, so will I do to you.

²⁹ Your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness; and all who were counted of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, who have murmured against me,

³⁰ surely you shall not come into the land, concerning which I swore that I would make you dwell therein, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua Salvation Yah the son of Nun.

³¹ But your little ones, that you said should be captured or killed, them I will bring in, and they shall know the land which you have rejected.

³² But as for you, your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness.

³³ Your children shall be wanderers in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your prostitution, until your dead bodies are consumed in the wilderness.

²⁰ Yahweh said, “I have pardoned them in keeping with your request,

²¹ but truly, as I live, and as all the earth will be filled with my glory,

²² all those people who saw my glory and the signs of power that I did in Egypt and in the wilderness—they have still tempted me these ten times and have not listened to my voice.

²³ So I say that they will certainly not see the land about which I made an oath to their ancestors. Not one of them who despised me will see it,

²⁴ except for my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit. He has followed me fully; I will bring him into the land which he went to examine. His descendants will possess it.

²⁵ (Now the Amalekites and Canaanites lived in the valley.) Tomorrow turn and go to the wilderness by the way of the Sea of Reeds.”

²⁶ Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron. He said,

²⁷ “How long must I tolerate this evil community that criticizes me? I have heard the complaining of the people of Israel against me.

²⁸ Say to them, 'As I live,' says Yahweh, 'as you have spoken in my hearing, I will do this to you:

²⁹ Your dead bodies will fall in this wilderness, all you who complained against me, you who were counted in the census, the whole number of the people from twenty years old and upward.

³⁰ You will certainly not go into the land that I promised to make your home, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

³¹ But your little ones who you said would be victims, I will take them into the land. They will experience the land that you have rejected!

³² As for you, your dead bodies will fall in this wilderness.

³³ Your children will be shepherds in the wilderness for forty years. They must bear the consequences of your acts of rebellion until the end of your corpses in the wilderness.

²⁰ Yahweh said, “I have pardoned according to your word;

²¹ but in very deed—as I live, and as all the earth shall be filled with Yahweh’s glory—

²² because all those men who have seen my glory and my signs, which I worked in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have tempted me these ten times, and have not listened to my voice;

²³ surely they shall not see the land which I swore to their fathers, neither shall any of those who despised me see it.

²⁴ But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and has followed me fully, him I will bring into the land into which he went. His offspring shall possess it.

²³ shall not see the land for which I swore to their fathers, neither any of them that backbited me, shall see it.

²⁴ I shall lead my servant Caleb, that was full of another spirit and followed me, into this land, which he compassed, and his seed shall wield it.

²⁵ For Amalek and Canaanites dwell in the valleys, tomorrow move ye the tents, and turn ye again into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea.

³² Forsooth your carrions shall lie in the wilderness;

³³ your sons shall be walkers-about in the desert by forty years, and they shall bear your fornication, till the carrions of their fathers be wasted in desert,

²⁰ And the Lord said, I have forgiven to them, by thy word. (And the Lord said, I now forgive them, because of thy words.)

²¹ And as soothly (as) I live; and the glory of the Lord shall be filled in all the earth; (But as truly as I live, the glory of the Lord shall fill all the earth;)

²⁷ How long groucheth this worst multitude against me? I have heard the grouching plaints of the sons of Israel. (How long grumbleth this worst multitude against me? I have heard all the grumbling and the complaints of the Israelites.)

²⁸ Therefore say thou to them, (As) I live, saith the Lord; as ye spake while I heard, so I shall do to you;

²⁹ your carrions, or dead bodies, shall lie in this wilderness. All ye that be numbered, from twenty years and above, and have grouched against me, (all your corpses shall lie here in this wilderness. All ye who be listed, or registered, from twenty years of age and older, and have grumbled against me,)

³⁰ shall not enter into the land, upon which I have raised (up) mine hand, that I should make you to dwell there (or where I would have you live), except Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua, the son of Nun.

³¹ Forsooth I shall lead in your little children, of which ye said that they should be preys, either ravens, to (thine) enemies, that they see the land which displeased you. (But I shall lead in your little children, they of whom ye said would become your enemies’ spoils, so that they can have the land which hath so displeased you.)

³² Forsooth your carrions shall lie in the wilderness; (But your corpses shall lie here in this wilderness;)

³³ your sons shall be walkers-about in the desert by forty years, and they shall bear your fornication, till the carrions of their fathers be wasted in (the) desert, (your sons shall be wanderers in this wilderness for forty years, and they shall bear your punishment, until their fathers’ corpses be wasted in this wilderness,)

²⁰ And the Lord seide, Y haue foryouun to hem, bi thi word.

²¹ Y lyue; and the glorie of the Lord schal be fillid in al erthe;

²² netheles alle men that sien my mageste, and my signes, whiche Y dide in Egipt and in the wildirnesse, and temptiden me now bi ten sithis, and obeieden not to my vois,

²³ schulen not se the lond for which Y swore to her fadris, nethir ony of hem that bacbitide me, schal se it.

²⁴ Y schal lede my seruaunt Caleph, that was ful of anothir spirit, and suede me, in to this lond, which he cumpasside, and his seed schal welde it.

²⁵ For Amalech and Cananei dwellen in the valeis, to morewe moue ye tentis, and turne ye ayen in to wildirnesse bi the weie of the reed see.

²⁶ And the Lord spak to Moises and to Aaron, and seide,

²⁷ Hou long grutchith this werste multitude ayens me? Y haue herd the pleyntis of the sones of Israel.

²⁸ Therfor seie thou to hem, Y lyue, seith the Lord; as ye spaken while Y herde, so Y schal do to you;

²⁹ youre careyns schulen ligge in this wildirnesse. Alle ye that ben noumbrid, fro twenti yeer and aboue, and grutchiden ayens me,

³⁰ schulen not entre in to the lond, on which Y reiside myn hond, that Y schulde make you to dwelle outakun Caleph, the sone of Jephone, and Josue, the sone of Nun.

³¹ Forsothe Y schal lede in youre litle children, of whiche ye seiden that thei schulden be preyes `ethir raueyns to enemyes, that thei se the lond which displeside you.

³² Forsothe youre careyns schulen ligge in the wildirnesse;

³³ youre sones schulen be walkeris aboute in the deseert bi fourti yeer, and thei schulen bere youre fornycacioun, til the careyns of the fadris ben wastid in the deseert,

²⁰ And Jehovah saith, 'I have forgiven, according to thy word;

²¹ and yet, I live — and it is filled — the whole earth — with the honour of Jehovah;

²² for all the men who are seeing My honour, and My signs, which I have done in Egypt, and in the wilderness, and try Me these ten times, and have not hearkened to My voice —

²³ they see not the land which I have sworn to their fathers, yea, none of those despising Me see it;

²⁴ and My servant Caleb, because there hath been another spirit with him, and he is fully after Me — I have brought him in unto the land whither he hath entered, and his seed doth possess it.

²⁵ 'And the Amalekite and the Canaanite are dwelling in the valley; to-morrow turn ye and journey for yourselves into the wilderness — the way of the Red Sea.'

²⁶ And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, and unto Aaron, saying,

²⁷ 'Until when hath this evil company that which they are murmuring against Me? the murmurings of the sons of Israel, which they are murmuring against Me, I have heard;

²⁸ say unto them, I live — an affirmation of Jehovah — if, as ye have spoken in Mine ears — so I do not to you;

²⁹ in this wilderness do your carcases fall, even all your numbered ones, to all your number, from a son of twenty years and upward, who have murmured against Me;

³⁰ ye — ye come not in unto the land which I have lifted up My hand to cause you to tabernacle in it, except Caleb son of Jephunneh, and Joshua son of Nun.

³¹ 'As to your infants — of whom ye have said, A spoil they are become — I have even brought them in, and they have known the land which ye have kicked against;

³² as to you — your carcases do fall in this wilderness,

³³ and your sons are evil in the wilderness forty years, and have borne your whoredoms till your carcases are consumed in the wilderness;
