Matthew 28:1-3 in English

¹ Now late on the sabbath day, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

² And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it.

³ His appearance was as lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

¹ In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

² And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

³ His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

¹ After ◄the Sabbath/the Jewish day of rest► ended, on Sunday morning at dawn, Mary from Magdala and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.

² Suddenly there was a strong earthquake. At the same time an angel from God came down from heaven. He went to the tomb and rolled the stone away from the entrance so that everyone could see that the tomb was empty. Then he sat on the stone.

³ His appearance was as bright SIM as lightning, and his clothes were as white as snow.

¹ Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.

² Behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky and came and rolled away the stone from the door and sat on it.

³ His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow.

² And there was a great earth-shock; for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, rolling back the stone, took his seat on it.

³ His form was shining like the light, and his clothing was white as snow:

¹ Now late on sabbath, as it was the dusk of the next day after sabbath, came Mary of Magdala and the other Mary to look at the sepulchre.

² And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord, descending out of heaven, came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it.

³ And his look was as lightning, and his clothing white as snow.

¹ And in the end of the sabbath, when it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalen and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre.

² And behold there was a great earthquake. For an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and coming, rolled back the stone, and sat upon it.

³ And his countenance was as lightning, and his raiment as snow.

¹ But after the Sabbath, at the dawning toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.

² And behold, a great earthquake occurred; for an angel of the Lord, having come down out of heaven, came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.

³ And his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.

¹ Now after the Sabbath, at the dawning of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, came to see the tomb.

² Now then, a big earthquake had occurred, because an angel of the Lord, descending out of heaven, had come and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it!

³ And his appearance was like lightning and his clothing as white as snow.

¹ Early Sunday morning, at dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb.

² All of a sudden there was a tremendous earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled away the stone, and sat on it.

³ His face blazed like lightning, and his clothes were as white as snow.

¹ Now in the end of the Sabbath, when the first day of ye weeke began to dawne, Marie Magdalene, and the other Marie came to see the sepulchre,

² And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the Angel of the Lord descended from heauen, and came and rolled backe the stone from the doore, and sate vpon it.

³ And his countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snowe.

¹ In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

² And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

¹ And the sabbath being over, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary the Magdalene, and the other Mary, to view the sepulchre.

² And, lo! there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it.

³ His appearance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow.

¹ After the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary of Magdala and the other Mary had gone to look at the grave,

² when suddenly a great earthquake occurred. For an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and seated himself on it.

³ His appearance was as dazzling as lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow;

¹ After the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary of Magdala and the other Mary had gone to look at the grave,

² when suddenly a great earthquake occurred. For an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and seated himself on it.

³ His appearance was as dazzling as lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow;

¹ Now after the second Sabbath (Nissan 17), it was the first day of the week, (the day of First Fruits #1), and it was starting to dawn, Mary of Magdala Rebellion of City tower and the other Mary Rebellion came to see the tomb.

² Behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of MarYah Master Yahweh descended from the sky, and came and rolled away the stone from the door, and sat on it.

³ His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow.

¹ On Sunday morning Mary Magdalene, and another woman called Mary, they got up really early and went to look at the cave that had Jesus’s body.

² Suddenly there was a big earthquake. One of God’s angel messengers came down from heaven, and he rolled the big stone away from the cave, and he sat on top of it.

³ His face was bright and shiny, like lightning. His clothes were really white, like snow.

¹ The Sabboth daye at even which dauneth the morowe after the Sabboth Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to se the sepulcre.

² And beholde ther was a greate erth quake. For the angell of the lorde descended from heven: and came and rowlled backe the stone from the dore and sate apon it.

³ His countenaunce was lyke lyghtnynge and his raymet whyte as snowe.

¹ Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Miriam Magdalene and the other Miriam came to see the tomb.

² Behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky and came and rolled away the stone from the door and sat on it.

³ His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow.

¹ But in the eventide of the sabbath, or holiday, that beginneth to shine in the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene came, and another Mary, to see the sepulchre.

² And lo! there was made a great earth-shaking; for the angel of the Lord came down from heaven, and nighed, and turned away the stone, and sat thereon.

³ And his looking was as lightning, and his clothes white as snow;

¹ But in (the hour after) the eventide of the sabbath, or (the) holiday, that beginneth to shine in the first day of the week (or that beginneth to shine on the first day of the week), Mary Magdalene came, and another Mary (or and the other Mary), to see the sepulchre.

² And lo! there was made a great earth-shaking; for the angel of the Lord came down from heaven, and nighed, and turned away the stone, and sat thereon. (And behold! there was a great earthquake; for the angel of the Lord came down from heaven, and approached, and rolled away the stone, and then sat on it.)

³ And his looking was as lightning, and his clothes (were as) white as snow;

¹ But in the euentid of the sabat, that bigynneth to schyne in the firste dai of the woke, Marie Mawdelene cam, and another Marie, to se the sepulcre.

² And lo! ther was maad a greet ertheschakyng; for the aungel of the Lord cam doun fro heuene, and neiyede, and turnede awei the stoon, and sat theron.

³ And his lokyng was as leit, and hise clothis as snowe;

¹ And on the eve of the sabbaths, at the dawn, toward the first of the sabbaths, came Mary the Magdalene, and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre,

² and lo, there came a great earthquake, for a messenger of the Lord, having come down out of heaven, having come, did roll away the stone from the door, and was sitting upon it,

³ and his countenance was as lightning, and his clothing white as snow,
