³¹ Therefore I say unto you, Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men; but the blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.

³² And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in that which is to come.

³³ Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by its fruit.

³⁴ Ye offspring of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

³⁵ The good man out of his good treasure bringeth forth good things: and the evil man out of his evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

³⁶ And I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

³⁷ For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

³⁸ Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying, Teacher, we would see a sign from thee.

³⁹ But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet:

⁴⁰ for as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

⁴¹ The men of Nineveh shall stand up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, a greater than Jonah is here.

⁴² The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

⁴³ But the unclean spirit, when he is gone out of the man, passeth through waterless places, seeking rest, and findeth it not.

⁴⁴ Then he saith, I will return into my house whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

³¹ You are saying that it is not the Holy Spirit who is enabling me to expel demons. So I will say this to you: If those who offend and slander other people in any way are then sorry and ask God to forgive them, God will forgive them. But people who discredit what the Holy Spirit does will not be forgiven { God will not forgive people who discredit what the Holy Spirit does}.

³² God is willing to forgive people who criticize me, the One who came from heaven. But I warn you that those who say evil things about what the Holy Spirit does will not be forgiven { God will not forgive people who speak evil words about what the Holy Spirit does}. They will not be forgiven { He will not forgive them} now, and they will never be forgiven { he will never forgive them}.”

³³ “Think about this: You can know whether a person is good and what that person says is good, in the same way that you can know whether a tree MET and the fruit it produces MET are good. You can also know whether a person and what that person says is evil in the same way that you can know whether a tree MET and its fruit MET are blighted. You can know whether a tree is good by seeing its fruit, and similarly people can know the evil character of you Pharisees by listening to your accusations against me.

³⁴ What you teach harms people spiritually like poisonous snakes harm them physically MET! You are not able to speak good things because you are evil RHQ. Evil people SYN like you speak what comes from all that is in their ◄inner beings/hearts►.

³⁵ Good people speak good things. That is like taking good things out of buildings where they are stored. But evil people speak evil things. That is like taking evil things out of buildings where they are stored.

³⁶ I tell you that on the day when God judges MTY, he will make people recall every useless word they have spoken, and he will judge them accordingly.

³⁷ Based on the words that you have spoken, God will either declare that you are righteous based on the words that you have spoken, or else he will condemn you.”

³⁸ Then some of the Pharisees and men who taught the Jewish laws responded to what Jesus was teaching by saying to him, “Teacher, we want to see you perform a miracle that would prove to us that God sent you.”

³⁹ Then Jesus said to them, “ You people have already seen me perform miracles, but you are evil, and you do not faithfully worship God MET! You want me to perform a miracle that would prove to you that God sent me, but God will enable you to see only one miracle. It will be like what happened to Jonah the prophet MET.

⁴⁰ Jonah was in the stomach of a huge fish for three days and nights before God caused him to live again. Similarly, for three days and nights I, the one who came from heaven, will be in a place where dead people are, and then God will cause me to live again.

⁴¹ When God judges all people, the people who lived in Nineveh will stand in front of him with you people who have seen me perform miracles. The people of Nineveh turned from their sinful ways as a result of hearing what Jonah preached. Jonah was important, but I, who am more important than Jonah, have come and preached to you, but you have not turned from your sinful ways. So when God judges all people, he will condemn you.

⁴² The queen from Sheba, South of Israel, who lived long ago, came from a distant region in order to listen to King Solomon teach many wise things. But now I, a man who is much greater and wiser than Solomon, am here, but you have not listened to what I have told you. So at the time when God judges all people, the queen from Sheba will stand in front of him, along with you people, and will condemn you.”

⁴³ “ Sometimes when an evil spirit leaves a person, it wanders around in desolate areas, seeking someone in whom it can rest. If it does not find anyone,

⁴⁴ it says to itself, ‘I will return to the person MET in whom I used to live.’ So it goes back and finds that the Spirit of God is not in control of that person's life. The person's life is like a house that has been swept clean and everything put in order MET, but it is empty.

³³ Make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree bad, and its fruit bad; for by its fruit you will get knowledge of the tree.

³⁴ You offspring of snakes, how are you, being evil, able to say good things? because out of the heart's store come the words of the mouth.

³⁵ The good man out of his good store gives good things; and the evil man out of his evil store gives evil things.

³⁶ And I say to you that in the day when they are judged, men will have to give an account of every foolish word they have said.

³⁷ For by your words will your righteousness be seen, and by your words you will be judged.

³⁸ Then some of the scribes and Pharisees, hearing this, said to him, Master, we are looking for a sign from you.

³⁹ But he, answering, said to them, An evil and false generation is looking for a sign; and no sign will be given to it but the sign of the prophet Jonah:

⁴⁰ For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the stomach of the great fish, so will the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

⁴¹ The men of Nineveh will come up in the day of judging and give their decision against this generation: because they were turned from their sins at the preaching of Jonah; and now a greater than Jonah is here.

⁴² The queen of the South will come up in the day of judging and give her decision against this generation: for she came from the ends of the earth to give ear to the wisdom of Solomon; and now a greater than Solomon is here.

⁴³ But the unclean spirit, when he is gone out of a man, goes through dry places looking for rest, and getting it not.

⁴⁴ Then he says, I will go back into my house from which I came out; and when he comes, he sees that there is no one in it, but that it has been made fair and clean.

³¹ For this reason I say unto you, Every sin and injurious speaking shall be forgiven to men, but speaking injuriously of the Spirit shall not be forgiven to men.

³² And whosoever shall have spoken a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this age nor in the coming one.

³³ Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt. For from the fruit the tree is known.

³³ “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree rotten and its fruit rotten; for the tree is known by the fruit.

³⁴ Brood of vipers! How can you, being malignant, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

³⁵ The good man out of the good reservoir brings forth good things, and the malignant man out of the malignant reservoir brings forth malignant things.

³⁶ Furthermore, I say to you that for every useless word whatever that people may speak, they will give account of it in the Day of judgment.

³⁷ For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

³⁸ Then some of the scribes and Pharisees reacted saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.”

³⁹ But in answer He said to them: “A malignant and adulterous generation seeks a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

⁴⁰ For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the stomach of the sea monster, so will the Son of the Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

⁴¹ Ninevite men will arise with this generation at the judgment and will condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and really, a greater than Jonah is here.

⁴² The queen of the South will be raised with this generation at the judgment and she will condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and really, a greater than Solomon is here.

⁴³ “Now when an unclean spirit demon goes out from a man, it goes through arid places looking for rest, but finds none.

⁴⁴ Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from where I came.’ And coming it finds it unoccupied, swept and put in order.

³¹ That's why I'm telling you that every sin and blasphemy you commit will be forgiven, except blasphemy against the Spirit which won't be forgiven.

³² Those who say something against the Son of man will be forgiven, but those who say something against the Holy Spirit won't be forgiven, neither in this life nor the next.

³³ Either decide that the tree is good, and its fruit is good, or decide that the tree is bad and its fruit is bad—for the tree is known by its fruit.

³⁴ You viper's brood, how can you who are evil say anything good? For your mouth simply says what your mind is busy thinking about.

³⁵ A good person brings out good from their store of good things, and an evil person brings out evil from their store of evil things.

³⁶ I tell you, people will have to account for every careless thing they say on the Day of Judgment.

³⁷ For what you say will either vindicate you or condemn you.”

³⁸ Then some of the religious teachers and Pharisees came to him and said, “Teacher, we want you to show us a miraculous sign.”

³⁹ “Evil people who don't trust in God are the ones who look for a miraculous sign. The only sign they will be given is the sign of the prophet Jonah,” Jesus told them.

⁴⁰ “In the same way Jonah was in the belly of a huge fish for three days and three nights, the Son of man will lie in the earth for three days and three nights.

⁴¹ The people of Nineveh will rise in the judgment together with this generation and they will condemn it because they repented in response to Jonah's message—and as you see, there's someone greater than Jonah here!

³⁸ One day some Jewish law teachers, and other law men called Pharisees, went to Jesus and said, “Teacher, we want to see you do something powerful. This will show us that God sent you.”

³⁹ Jesus said, “You mob that are alive today are really bad. You turned away from God. But now you want me to show you something powerful, right? No. I will not do that. The only powerful thing you will see is the same thing that God did to his man called Jonah, a long time ago.

⁴⁰ Do you remember that story? Jonah stayed inside a big fish for 3 days. And just like that, I will stay in the ground for 3 days. I am God’s special man from heaven.

⁴¹ And, remember, Jonah went to the people that lived in the city called Nineveh, and he told them God’s message. Those people listened to him, and they stopped doing bad things and turned to God. Well, later, on the day when God will judge everyone, that Nineveh mob will get up and tell you mob here that you are wrong. You see, that Nineveh mob took notice of Jonah. And I am greater than Jonah, but you mob don’t take any notice of me. You don’t turn to God, and you don’t stop doing bad things.

⁴² And do you remember the story about the woman that was the big boss of the country called Sheba? She heard about Solomon. He was the big boss of our country. She heard that he was a very wise man, so she came here to listen to the good things he said. Well, later, on the day when God will judge everyone, that woman will get up and tell you mob here that you are stupid. You see, she came a long way from her country just to listen to Solomon. And I am more wise than Solomon, but you mob don’t want to listen to me.”

⁴³ And Jesus said, “When a bad spirit goes out of a person, it goes around in dry country looking for a new place to live. But it doesn’t find a good place.

⁴⁴ So it says to itself, ‘I will go back to the place that I lived in before.’ Then it goes back to that person, and it finds the place is good, empty and clean.

⁴⁴ Then he says, ‘I will return into my house from which I came;’ and when he has come back, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.

³¹ Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.

³² Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in that which is to come.

³³ “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by its fruit.

³⁴ You offspring of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

³⁵ The good man out of his good treasure brings out good things, and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings out evil things.

³⁶ I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgement.

³⁷ For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

³⁸ Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered, “Rabbi, we want to see a sign from you.”

³⁹ But he answered them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.

⁴⁰ For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the huge fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

⁴¹ The men of Nineveh will stand up in the judgement with this generation and will condemn it, for they repented at the proclaiming of Jonah; and behold, someone greater than Jonah is here.

⁴² The Queen of the South will rise up in the judgement with this generation and will condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, someone greater than Solomon is here.
