¹⁷ And Jesus perceiving it saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? do ye not yet perceive, neither understand? have ye your heart hardened?

¹⁸ Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

¹⁹ When I brake the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.

²⁰ And when the seven among the four thousand, how many basketfuls of broken pieces took ye up? And they say unto him, Seven.

²¹ And he said unto them, Do ye not yet understand?

²² And they come unto Bethsaida. And they bring to him a blind man, and beseech him to touch him.

²³ And he took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village; and when he had spit on his eyes, and laid his hands upon him, he asked him, Seest thou aught?

¹⁷ Jesus knew what they were discussing among themselves. So he said to them, “◄ I am disappointed that you are discussing about your not having enough bread!/Why are you discussing about your not having enough bread?► RHQ ◄You should understand by now that I can provide miraculously for you if you need food!/Why do you not yet perceive or understand that I can provide miraculously for you if you need food?► RHQ ◄You are not thinking!/Why are you not thinking?► RHQ

¹⁸ ◄I am also disappointed that, although you have eyes, you do not understand what you see!/Why is it that, although you have eyes, you do not understand what you see?► RHQ You have ears, but you do not understand what I say RHQ!” Then he asked, “Do you not remember what happened

¹⁹ when I broke only five loaves and fed the five thousand people RHQ? Not only was everyone satisfied, but there was food left over How many baskets full of pieces of bread that were left over did you collect?” They replied, “We collected twelve baskets full.”

²⁰ Then he asked, “When I broke the seven loaves in order to feed the four thousand people, again when everyone had plenty to eat, how many large baskets of pieces of bread that were left over did you collect?” They replied, “ We collected seven large baskets full.”

²¹ Then he kept saying to them, “◄ I am disappointed that you do not understand yet that you should never worry that you do not have enough food!/Why do you not understand yet that you should never worry that you do not have enough food?►” RHQ

²² They arrived in the boat at Bethsaida town. People brought to Jesus a blind man and earnestly requested that Jesus touch him in order to heal him.

²³ Jesus took the hand of the blind man, led him outside the town, he put his saliva on the man's eyes, he put his hands on the man, and then he asked him, “Do you see anything?”

¹⁷ Jesus, perceiving it, said to them, “Why do you reason that it’s because you have no bread? Don’t you perceive yet or understand? Is your heart still hardened?

²³ He took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village. When he had spat on his eyes, and laid his hands on him, he asked him if he saw anything.

¹⁷ And Jesus, hearing it, said to them, Why are you reasoning among yourselves because you have no bread? do you still not see, and is it still not clear to you? are your hearts so hard?

¹⁸ Having eyes, do you not see? and having ears, have you no hearing? and have you no memory?

¹⁹ When I made a division of the five cakes of bread among the five thousand, what number of baskets full of broken bits did you take up? They said to him, Twelve.

²⁰ And when the seven among the four thousand, what number of baskets full of broken bits did you take up? And they said to him, Seven.

²¹ And he said to them, Is it still not clear to you?

²² And they came to Beth-saida. And they took a blind man to him, requesting him to put his hands on him.

²³ And he took the blind man by the hand, and went with him out of the town; and when he had put water from his mouth on his eyes, and put his hands on him, he said, Do you see anything?

¹⁷ And Jesus knowing it, says to them, Why reason ye because ye have no bread? Do ye not yet perceive nor understand? Have ye your heart yet hardened?

¹⁸ Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

²³ And taking hold of the hand of the blind man he led him forth out of the village, and having spit upon his eyes, he laid his hands upon him, and asked him if he beheld anything.

¹⁷ Which Jesus knowing, saith to them: Why do you reason, because you have no bread? do you not yet know nor understand? have you still your heart blinded?

¹⁸ Having eyes, see you not? and having ears, hear you not? neither do you remember.

²¹ So He said to them, “How is it you do not understand?”

²² Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him, and implored Him to touch him.

²³ And having taken the hand of the blind man, He led him outside the village, and having spit on his eyes, and having laid His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything.

¹⁷ Being aware of it Jesus said to them: “Why are you reasoning because you have no bread? Do you still neither perceive nor understand? Do you still have hearts that have been hardened?

¹⁸ Having eyes do you not see, and having ears do you not hear, and do you not remember?

¹⁹ When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did you take up?” They say to Him, “Twelve.”

²⁰ “And when I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many hampers full of pieces did you take up?” And they said, “Seven.”

²¹ So He said to them, “How is it that you still don't understand?”

²² Then He came to Bethsaida; and they brought a blind man to Him and begged Him to touch him.

²³ So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village; then spitting into his eyes and laying hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything.

¹⁷ Jesus knew what they were saying, and said, “Why are you talking about not having any bread? Are you still not thinking and not understanding? Have you closed your minds?

¹⁸ You've got eyes to see, haven't you? And ears to hear?

¹⁹ Don't you remember when I shared five loaves among five thousand? How many basketfuls of leftovers did you pick up?” “Twelve,” they replied.

²⁰ “And the seven loaves divided among four thousand. How many basketfuls of leftovers did you pick up?” “Seven,” they answered.

²¹ “Do you still not understand?” he asked them.

²² They went to Bethsaida where some people brought a blind man to Jesus. They begged Jesus to touch him and heal him.

²³ Jesus took the blind man by the hand and took him outside the village. Jesus spat on the man's eyes and touched him with his hands. Then Jesus asked him, “Can you see anything?”

¹⁷ And when Iesus knew it, he said vnto them, Why reason you thus, because ye haue no bread? perceiue ye not yet, neither vnderstande? haue ye your hearts yet hardened?

¹⁸ Haue yee eyes, and see not? and haue yee eares, and heare not? and doe ye not remember?

¹⁹ When I brake the fiue loaues among fiue thousand, how many baskets full of broken meate tooke ye vp? They said vnto him, Twelue.

²⁰ And when I brake seuen among foure thousande, howe many baskets of the leauings of broken meate tooke ye vp? And they said, Seuen.

²¹ Then he saide vnto them, Howe is it that ye vnderstand not?

²² And hee came to Bethsaida, and they brought a blinde man vnto him, and desired him to touch him.

²³ Then he tooke the blinde by the hand, and ledde him out of the towne, and spat in his eyes, and put his handes vpon him, and asked him, if he sawe ought.

²² Jesus went to that town Bethsaida. Some people brought to him a man on a lead, he was truly blind, he could not see. They begged Jesus, “Touch him to make him well.”

²³ Jesus took the blind man by the hand to outside the town. He spat on his own hand, he touched the spit, he put it on the man's eyes, he asked him, “Do you see?”

¹⁷ And knowing it, he saith to them, Why are ye reasoning, because ye have no bread? Do ye not yet perceive nor understand? Have ye your mind still blinded?

¹⁸ Having eyes, do ye not see? and having ears, do ye not hear? And do ye not remember,

¹⁹ when I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, and how many baskets full of fragments ye took up? They say to him, Twelve.

¹⁷ Jesus knew what they said to each other, and he said, “Why are you mob arguing about bread? You still haven’t learned about me. You don’t understand me. Maybe your minds are closed.

¹⁸ You’ve got eyes but you don’t look. You’ve got ears but you don’t listen. You don’t remember anything, do you?

¹⁹ Do you remember the time we had 5 loaves of bread and I gave food to 5,000 men? How many baskets of left over bits did you pick up?” The men said, “12 baskets full.”

²⁰ Then Jesus said, “Do you remember the time we had 7 loaves of bread and I gave food to 4,000 people? How many baskets of left over bits did you pick up?” The men said, “7 baskets full.”

²¹ Jesus asked them, “So how come you still don’t understand about me?”

²² Jesus and his followers came to a place called Bethsaida on the west side of Lake Galilee, and they got out of the boat. Some people brought a blind man up to him and asked Jesus to touch him and make him better.

²³ Jesus held the man’s hand and led him outside the community. Then Jesus spat on the man’s eyes and then put his hands on him and said, “Can you see anything now?”

¹⁷ And when Iesus knewe that he sayde vnto the: why take ye thought because ye have no bread perceave ye not yet nether vnderstonde? Have ye youre hertes yet blynded?

¹⁸ Have ye eyes and se not? and have ye eares and heare not? Do ye not remember?

¹⁹ When I brake v. loves amonge .v.M. How many baskettes full of broke meate toke ye vp? They sayde vnto him twelve.

²⁰ When I brake .vii. amonge .iiii. M. How many basketes of the levinges of broken meate toke ye vp? they sayde .vii.

²¹ And he sayde vnto the: how is it that ye vnderstonde not?

²² And he came to Bethsaida and they brought a blynde man vnto him and desyred him to touche him.

²³ And he caught the blynde by the honde and leade him out of the toune and spat in his eyes and put his hondes apon him and axed him whether he saw ought.

¹⁷ Jesus was aware of this, and he said to them, “Why are you reasoning about not having bread? Do you not yet perceive? Do you not understand? Have your hearts become so dull?

¹⁸ You have eyes, do you not see? You have ears, do you not hear? Do you not remember?

¹⁸ Ye having eyes, see not, and ye having ears, hear not; neither ye have mind,

¹⁹ when I brake five loaves among five thousand, and how many coffins full of broken meat took ye up? They said to him, Twelve.

²⁰ When also seven loaves among four thousand of men, how many baskets full of broken meat took ye up? And they say to him, Seven.

²¹ And he said to them, How understand ye not yet?

²² And they came to Bethsaida, and they brought to him a blind man, and they prayed him, that he would touch him.

²³ And when he had taken the blind man’s hand, he led him out of the street, and he spat into his eyes, and set his hands on him; and he asked him, if he saw anything.

¹⁷ And when this thing was known, Jesus said to them, What think ye, for ye have not loaves? (or Why do ye think about, or talk about, not having any bread?) Yet ye know not, neither understand; yet ye have your heart(s) blinded.

¹⁸ Ye having eyes, see not, and ye having ears, hear not; neither ye have mind (or nor ye remember),

¹⁹ when I brake five loaves among five thousand, and how many coffins full of broken meat took ye up? (or and how many baskets full of pieces of food did ye gather up?) They said to him, Twelve.

²⁰ When also seven loaves among four thousand of men, how many baskets full of broken meat took ye up? (or how many baskets full of pieces of food did ye gather up?) And they say to him, Seven.

²¹ And he said to them, How understand ye not yet?

²² And they came to Bethsaida, and they brought to him a blind man, and they prayed him, that he would touch him.

²³ And when he had taken the blind man’s hand, he led him out of the street (or he led him out of the village), and he spat into his eyes, and set his hands on him; and he asked him, if he saw anything.

¹⁷ And whanne this thing was knowun, Jhesus seide to hem, What thenken ye, for ye han not looues? Yit ye knowun not, ne vndurstonden; yit ye han youre herte blyndid.

¹⁸ Ye hauynge iyen, seen not, and ye hauynge eeris, heren not; nethir ye han mynde,

¹⁹ whanne Y brak fyue looues among fyue thousynde, and hou many cofynes ful of brokun meete `ye tokun vp? Thei seien to hym, Twelue.

²⁰ Whanne also seuene looues among foure thousynde of men, hou many lepis of brokun mete tokun ye vp?

²¹ And thei seien to hym, Seuene. And he seide to hem, Hou vndurstonden ye not yit?

²² And thei camen to Bethsaida, and thei bryngen to hym a blynde man, and thei preieden hym, that he schulde touche hym.

²³ And whanne he hadde take the blynde mannus hoond, he ledde hym out of the street, and spete in to hise iyen, and sette hise hoondis on hym; and he axide hym, if he saye ony thing.

¹⁷ And Jesus having known, saith to them, 'Why do ye reason, because ye have no loaves? do ye not yet perceive, nor understand, yet have ye your heart hardened?

¹⁸ Having eyes, do ye not see? and having ears, do ye not hear? and do ye not remember?

¹⁹ When the five loaves I did brake to the five thousand, how many hand-baskets full of broken pieces took ye up?' they say to him, 'Twelve.'

²⁰ 'And when the seven to the four thousand, how many hand-baskets full of broken pieces took ye up?' and they said, 'Seven.'

²¹ And he said to them, 'How do ye not understand?'

²² And he cometh to Bethsaida, and they bring to him one blind, and call upon him that he may touch him,

²³ and having taken the hand of the blind man, he led him forth without the village, and having spit on his eyes, having put his hands on him, he was questioning him if he doth behold anything:
