⁷ But in vain do they worship me, Teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men.

⁸ Ye leave the commandment of God, and hold fast the tradition of men.

⁹ And he said unto them, Full well do ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your tradition.

⁷ Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

⁸ For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

⁹ And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

⁹ Jesus also said to them, “ You think IRO that you are clever in refusing to do what God commanded just so that you can obey your own traditions!

⁸ “For you set aside the commandment of God, and hold tightly to the tradition of men—the washing of pitchers and cups, and you do many other such things.”

⁸ For, turning away from the law of God, you keep the rules of men.

⁹ And he said to them, Truly you put on one side the law of God, so that you may keep the rules which have been handed down to you.

⁷ But in vain do they worship me, teaching as their teachings commandments of men.

⁸ For, leaving the commandment of God, ye hold what is delivered by men to keep — washings of vessels and cups, and many other such like things ye do.

⁹ And he said to them, Well do ye set aside the commandment of God, that ye may observe what is delivered by yourselves to keep.

⁷ And in vain to they worship me, teaching doctrines and precepts of men.

⁸ For leaving the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men, the washing of pots and of cups: and many other things you do like to these.

⁹ And he said to them: Well do you make void the commandment of God, that you may keep your own tradition.

⁷ And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’

⁸ For having left the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men—the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other similar things you do.”

⁹ And He said to them, “Well do you set aside the commandment of God, so that you may keep your tradition.

⁸ Because having left the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men—washings of pitchers and cups, and many other similar things that you do.”

⁹ Indeed He said to them: “You are very good at nullifying the commandment of God, so that you may keep your tradition.

⁷ There's no point in their worship of me, for what they teach as doctrines are merely human rules.’

⁸ You disregard God's law, and instead you carefully observe human traditions,” he told them.

⁹ “How cleverly you set aside God's law so you can support your traditions!

⁷ But they worship me in vaine, teaching for doctrines the commandements of men.

⁸ For ye lay the commandement of God apart, and obserue the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and of cups, and many other such like things ye doe.

⁹ And he sayd vnto them, Well, ye reiect the commandement of God, that ye may obserue your owne tradition.

⁹ He said to them, “Full well do you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.

⁷ They have ceremonies for me but, really, they rubbish me. They teach rules that men made up themselves and they tell everybody that these are God’s laws.’

⁸ You mob are just like that. You turn your back on God’s law but you are strong on the rules that men made up.”

⁹ And Jesus kept talking to them, he said, “You mob are tricky in the way you turn your back on God’s law and follow your own rules.

⁷ In vayne they worshippe me teachinge doctryns which are nothinge but the comaundementes of men.

⁸ For ye laye the commaundement of God aparte and observe the tradicions of men as the wesshinge of cruses and of cuppes and many other suche lyke thinges ye do.

⁹ And he sayde vnto them: well ye cast asyde the comaundement of God to mayntayne youre owne tradicions.

⁷ Empty worship they offer me, teaching the rules of men as their doctrines.'

⁸ You abandon the commandment of God and hold fast to the tradition of men.”

⁹ He also said to them, “How well you reject the commandment of God so you may keep your tradition!

⁸ For ye leeuen the maundement of God, and holden the tradiciouns of men, wasschyngis of watir vessels, and of cuppis; and many othir thingis lijk to these ye doon.

⁹ And he seide to hem, Wel ye han maad the maundement of God voide, `to kepe youre tradicioun.

⁷ and in vain do they worship Me, teaching teachings, commands of men;

⁸ for, having put away the command of God, ye hold the tradition of men, baptisms of pots and cups; and many other such like things ye do.'

⁹ And he said to them, 'Well do ye put away the command of God that your tradition ye may keep;
