⁸ For he said unto him, Come forth, thou unclean spirit, out of the man.

⁹ And he asked him, What is thy name? And he saith unto him, My name is Legion; for we are many.

¹⁰ And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

¹¹ Now there was there on the mountain side a great herd of swine feeding.

¹² And they besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

¹³ And he gave them leave. And the unclean spirits came out, and entered into the swine: and the herd rushed down the steep into the sea, in number about two thousand; and they were drowned in the sea.

¹⁴ And they that fed them fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they came to see what it was that had come to pass.

⁸ For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

⁹ And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

⁹ So, in order to expel the demon more easily, Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” He replied, “My name is Crowd/Mob because there are many of us evil spirits in this man.”

¹⁰ Then the evil spirits fervently kept begging Jesus that he not send them out of the region.

¹¹ At the same time, a large herd of pigs was ◄grazing/rooting for food► nearby on the hillside.

¹² So the evil spirits pleaded with Jesus, “Allow us to go to the pigs in order that we might enter them!”

¹³ He permitted them to do that. So the evil spirits left the man and entered the pigs. The herd, which numbered about 2,000, rushed down the cliff into the lake, and drowned in the lake.

¹⁴ The men who had been tending the pigs ran and reported in the town and the countryside what had happened. Many people went to see what had happened.

⁸ For he said to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!”

⁹ He asked him, “What is your name?” He said to him, “My name is Legion, for we are many.”

¹⁰ He begged him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

¹¹ Now on the mountainside there was a great herd of pigs feeding.

¹² All the demons begged him, saying, “Send us into the pigs, that we may enter into them.”

¹³ At once Jesus gave them permission. The unclean spirits came out and entered into the pigs. The herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and they were drowned in the sea.

¹⁴ Those who fed the pigs fled, and told it in the city and in the country. The people came to see what it was that had happened.

⁸ For he said to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!”

⁹ He asked him, “What is your name?” He said to him, “My name is Legion, for we are many.”

¹⁰ And he made strong prayers to him not to send them away out of the country.

¹¹ Now on the mountain side there was a great herd of pigs getting their food.

¹² And they said to him, Send us into the pigs, so that we may go into them.

¹³ And he let them do it. And the unclean spirits came out and went into the pigs; and the herd went rushing down a sharp slope into the sea, about two thousand of them; and they came to their death in the sea.

¹⁴ And their keepers went running and gave an account of it in the town and in the country. And people came to see what had taken place.

⁸ For he said to him, Come forth, unclean spirit, out of the man.

⁹ And he asked him, What is thy name? And he says to him, Legion is my name, because we are many.

¹⁰ And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

¹¹ Now there was there just at the mountain a great herd of swine feeding;

¹² and they besought him, saying, Send us into the swine that we may enter into them.

¹³ And Jesus immediately allowed them. And the unclean spirits going out entered into the swine, and the herd rushed down the steep slope, into the sea (about two thousand), and were choked in the sea.

¹⁴ And those that were feeding them fled and reported it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that had taken place.

⁸ For he said unto him: Go out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

⁹ And he asked him: What is thy name? And he saith to him: My name is Legion, for we are many.

¹⁰ And he besought him much, that he would not drive him away out of the country.

¹¹ And there was there near the mountain a great herd of swine, feeding.

¹² And the spirits besought him, saying: Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

¹³ And Jesus immediately gave them leave. And the unclean spirits going out, entered into the swine: and the herd with great violence was carried headlong into the sea, being about two thousand, and were stifled in the sea.

¹⁴ And they that fed them fled, and told it in the city and in the fields. And they went out to see what was done:

⁸ For He was saying to him, “Come out from the man, unclean spirit!”

⁹ And He was asking him, “What is your name?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.”

¹⁰ And he was imploring Him many times that He would not send them out of the region.

¹¹ Now there was a large herd of swine feeding there near the mountain.

¹² So all the demons implored Him, saying, “Send us into the swine, that we may enter them.”

¹³ And immediately Jesus gave them permission. And when the unclean spirits came out, they entered into the swine, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea, (there were about two thousand) and drowned in the sea.

¹⁴ But those feeding the swine fled, and they reported it in the city and in the country. And they came out to see what it was that had happened.

⁸ Because He was saying to him, “You unclean spirit, come out of the man!”

⁹ Then He asked him, “What is your name?” And he answered, saying, “Legion is my name, because we are many.”

¹⁰ He started begging Him repeatedly that He would not send them out of that region.

¹¹ Now a large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside.

¹² So all the demons begged Him saying, “Send us into the pigs, so that we may enter them.”

¹³ And forthwith Jesus gave them permission; and coming out the unclean spirits went into the pigs (there were about two thousand); but the herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and they were drowned by the sea.

¹⁴ So those who were tending the pigs ran off and reported it in the town and the countryside. And they went out to see what it was that had happened.

⁸ For Jesus had already told the evil spirit to leave the man.

⁹ Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” “My name is Legion, because we are many!” he replied.

¹⁰ He also repeatedly pleaded with Jesus not to send them a long way away.

¹¹ A large herd of pigs was feeding on the hillside nearby.

¹² The evil spirits pleaded with him, “Send us into the pigs so we can enter them.”

¹³ Jesus allowed them to do this. The evil spirits left the man and went into the pigs. The whole herd, about two thousand, rushed down the steep cliff into the sea and drowned.

¹⁴ The pig-keepers ran away, and spread the news all over town and in the countryside. People came out to see what had happened.

⁸ (For hee saide vnto him, Come out of the man, thou vncleane spirit.)

⁹ And he asked him, What is thy name? and hee answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

¹⁰ And hee prayed him instantly, that hee would not send them away out of the countrey.

¹¹ Now there was there in the mountaines a great heard of swine, feeding.

¹² And all ye deuils besought him, saying, Send vs into the swine, that we may enter into them.

¹³ And incontinently Iesus gaue them leaue. Then the vncleane spirites went out, and entred into the swine, and the heard ranne headlong from the high banke into the sea, (and there were about two thousand swine) and they were choked vp in the sea.

¹⁴ And the swineheards fled, and told it in the citie, and in the countrey, and they came out to see what it was that was done.

⁸ For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.

⁹ And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

¹⁰ And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.

⁸ Jesus said to the spirit, “Leave the man! Go away!”

⁹ Jesus asked the man, “What is your name?” He said to him, “My name is 'Many'. We are many spirits.”

¹⁰ They were asking him, “Do not send us from this country.”

¹¹ On that rise there were pigs, many of them, 2,000, they were eating green grass.

¹² The spirits begged Jesus, “Send us to the pigs. How about it? Can we go into them?”

¹³ He said to them, “Yes, you can go to the pigs.” Right then they left that man, they all went to the pigs, the spirits went into them. Right then all the pigs ran down from the hill, they went straight into the water, they died in the water.

¹⁴ The people who looked after the pigs scattered, they ran away afraid. They told many from the town and country. After that many came to see.

⁸ For he was saying to him, Unclean spirit, come out from the man.

⁹ And he asked him, What is thy name? And he saith to him, Legion is my name; for we are many.

¹⁰ And he besought him much not to send them out of the country.

¹¹ Now there was there, by the mountain, a great herd of swine feeding.

¹² And they besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.

⁹ And he asked him, “What is your name?” “My name,” he said, “is Legion, for there are many of us;”

¹⁰ and he begged Jesus again and again not to send them away out of that country.

¹¹ There was a large drove of pigs close by, feeding on the hillside;

¹² and the spirits begged Jesus, “Send us into the pigs so that we can take possession of them.”

¹³ Jesus gave them leave. They came out, and entered into the pigs; and the drove — about two thousand in number — rushed down the steep slope into the sea and were drowned in the sea.

¹⁴ Then the men who tended them ran away, and carried the news to the town, and to the country around; and the people went to see what had happened.

¹¹ Now on the mountainside there was a great herd of pigs feeding.

¹³ At once Yeshua Salvation gave them permission. The unclean spirits came out and entered into the pigs. The herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and they were drowned in the sea.

¹⁴ Those who fed them fled, and told it in the city and in the country. The people came to see what it was that had happened.

⁹ Jesus asked the man, “What is your name?” He said, “My name is Big Mob. You see, we are a mob of bad spirits inside this man.

¹⁰ Please don’t send us away from this country.”

¹¹ There were about 2,000 pigs having a feed on the hill nearby.

¹² The bad spirits asked Jesus, “Can we go into that big mob of pigs over there?”

¹³ Jesus let those bad spirits go out of the man and go into the pigs. Then those pigs went mad and ran down the steep hill into the lake and drowned themselves in the water.

¹⁴ The men that looked after the pigs were frightened and they ran back to their community and told everyone what happened. They talked to the people in the town and the people that lived outside of the town too. A lot of people wanted to see for themselves,

⁸ For he had sayd vnto hym: come out of the man thou fowle sprete.

⁹ And he axed him: what is thy name? And he answered sayinge: my name is Legion for we are many.

¹⁰ And he prayd him instantly that he wolde not sende the awaye out of the countre.

¹¹ And ther was there nye vnto the moutayns a greate heerd of swyne fedinge

¹² and all the devyls besought him sayinge: sende vs into the heerde of swyne that we maye enter in to them.

¹³ And anone Iesus gave them leave. And the vnclene spretes wet out and entred into the swyne. And the heerd starteled and ran hedling into the see. They were about .ii.M. swyne and they were drouned in the see.

¹⁴ And the swyne heerdes fleed and tolde it in the cyte and in the countre. And they came out for to se what had hapened:

⁸ For he had been saying to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit.”

⁹ He asked him, “What is your name?” He answered him, “My name is Legion, for we are many.”

¹⁰ He begged him again and again not to send them out of the region.

¹¹ Now a great herd of pigs was there feeding on the hill,

¹² and they begged him, saying, “Send us into the pigs; let us enter into them.”

¹³ So he allowed them; the unclean spirits came out and entered into the pigs, and they rushed down the steep hill into the sea, and about two thousand pigs drowned in the sea.

¹⁴ Then those who were feeding the pigs ran away and reported what had happened in the city and in the countryside, and so people went out to see what had happened.

⁸ For he said to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!”

¹³ And anon Jesus granted to them. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine or the hogs, and with a great rush the flock was cast headlong into the sea, a two thousand, and they were drenched or drowned in the sea.

¹⁴ And they that kept or fed them, fled, and told into the city, and into the fields; and they went out, to see what was done.

⁸ And Jesus said to him, Thou unclean spirit, go out from the man.

⁹ And Jesus asked him, What is thy name? And he saith to him, A legion is my name; for we be many.

¹⁰ And he prayed Jesus much, that he should not put them out of the country. (And he greatly beseeched Jesus, that he would not send them out of the province.)

¹¹ And there was there about the hill a great flock of swine or a great drove of hogs pasturing. (And there was there about the hill a great herd of pigs at pasture.)

¹² And the spirits prayed Jesus, and said, Send us into the swine, or Send us into the hogs, (or Send us into the pigs), (so) that we enter into them.

¹³ And anon Jesus granted (that) to them. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine or (and) into the hogs, and with a great rush the flock was cast headlong into the sea, a two thousand, and they were drenched in the sea. (And at once Jesus granted that to them. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the pigs, and with a great rush the herd was thrown headlong into the lake, about two thousand of them, and they were drowned in the lake.)

¹⁴ And they that kept (watch over) them, fled or Soothly they that fed them, fled, and told into the city, and into the fields; and they went out, to see what was done.

⁸ And Jhesus seide to hym, Thou vnclene spirit, go out fro the man.

⁹ And Jhesus axide hym, What is thi name? And he seith to hym, A legioun is my name; for we ben many.

¹⁰ And he preiede Jhesu myche, that he schulde not putte hym out of the cuntrei.

¹¹ And there was there aboute the hille a greet flok of swyn lesewynge.

¹² And the spiritis preieden Jhesu, and seiden, Sende vs into the swyn, that we entre in to hem.

¹³ And anoon Jhesus grauntide to hem. And the vnclene spiritis yeden out, and entriden in to the swyn, and with a greet birre the flocke was cast doun in to the see, a twei thousynde, and thei weren dreynt in the see.

¹⁴ And thei that kepten hem, fledden, and tolden in to the citee, and in to the feeldis; and thei wenten out, to se what was don.

⁸ (for he said to him, 'Come forth, spirit unclean, out of the man,')

⁹ and he was questioning him, 'What is thy name?' and he answered, saying, 'Legion is my name, because we are many;'

¹⁰ and he was calling on him much, that he may not send them out of the region.

¹¹ And there was there, near the mountains, a great herd of swine feeding,

¹² and all the demons did call upon him, saying, 'Send us to the swine, that into them we may enter;'

¹³ and immediately Jesus gave them leave, and having come forth, the unclean spirits did enter into the swine, and the herd did rush down the steep place to the sea — and they were about two thousand — and they were choked in the sea.

¹⁴ And those feeding the swine did flee, and told in the city, and in the fields, and they came forth to see what it is that hath been done;
