²⁶ and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

²⁷ having heard the things concerning Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.

²⁸ For she said, If I touch but his garments, I shall be made whole.

²⁹ And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her plague.

³⁰ And straightway Jesus, perceiving in himself that the power proceeding from him had gone forth, turned him about in the crowd, and said, Who touched my garments?

³¹ And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

³² And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

³³ But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

³⁴ And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

³⁵ While he yet spake, they come from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Teacher any further?

³⁶ But Jesus, not heeding the word spoken, saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not, only believe.

³⁷ And he suffered no man to follow with him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

³⁸ And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue; and he beholdeth a tumult, and many weeping and wailing greatly.

³⁹ And when he was entered in, he saith unto them, Why make ye a tumult, and weep? the child is not dead, but sleepeth.

⁴⁰ And they laughed him to scorn. But he, having put them all forth, taketh the father of the child and her mother and them that were with him, and goeth in where the child was.

⁴¹ And taking the child by the hand, he saith unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, Arise.

⁴¹ And taking the child by the hand, he saith unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, Arise.

²⁶ She had suffered much while many doctors treated her. But although she had spent all her money to pay the doctors, she had not been helped {they had not helped her}. Instead, she had become worse EUP.

²⁷ After she heard that Jesus healed people, she came to where he was and pushed in the crowd close behind Jesus.

²⁸ She did that because she was thinking, “If I touch him or even if I touch his clothes, I will be healed {his power will heal me}.” So she touched Jesus' clothes.

²⁹ At once her bleeding stopped. At the same time, she sensed that she had been cured of {that he had cured} her illness.

³⁰ Jesus also immediately sensed that his power had healed someone. So he turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

³¹ One of his disciples replied, “You can see that many people are crowding close to you! Probably many people touched you! So ◄why do you ask ‘Who touched me?’ /We are surprised that you ask ‘Who touched me?’ RHQ►”

³² But Jesus kept looking around in order to see the one who had done it.

³³ The woman was very afraid and trembling. She thought that Jesus might be angry because she had violated the law that women who had such a sickness should not touch other people. But she knew that Jesus had healed her. So she prostrated herself before him. Then she told him truthfully about what she had done.

³⁴ He said to her, “◄Ma'am/Young lady►, because you have believed that I could heal you , I have healed you. You may go home with peace in your heart/innner being , because I promise that you will not be sick this way anymore .”

³⁵ While Jesus was still speaking to that woman, some people arrived who had come from Jairus' house. They said to Jairus, “Your daughter has now died. So ◄it is useless that you bother the teacher any longer by urging him to go to your house!/why do you bother the teacher any longer by urging him to go to your house?► RHQ”

³⁶ But when Jesus heard what these men said, he said to Jairus, “Do not think that the situation is hopeless! Just keep believing that she will live!”

³⁷ Then he allowed only his three closest disciples, Peter, James, and John, to go with him to Jairus' house. He did not allow any other people to go with him. After they arrived near the house, Jesus saw that the people there were in turmoil. They were weeping and wailing DOU loudly.

³⁹ He entered the house and then he said to them, knowing that he was going to cause her to live again, “◄Do not make such a disturbance!/Why are you making such a disturbance?► RHQ Stop crying, for the child is not dead! On the contrary, she is only sleeping HYP, EUP!”

⁴⁰ The people laughed at him, because they knew that she was dead. But he sent all the other people outside the house. Then he took the child's father and mother and the three disciples who were with him. He went into the room where the child was lying.

⁴¹ He took hold of the child's hand and said to her in her own language, “Talitha, Koum!” That means, “Little girl, get up!”

²⁸ For she said, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be made well.”

²⁹ Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.

³⁰ Immediately Jesus, perceiving in himself that the power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

³¹ His disciples said to him, “You see the multitude pressing against you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’”

³² He looked around to see her who had done this thing.

³³ But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

³⁴ He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be cured of your disease.”

³⁵ While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue ruler’s house, saying, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?”

³⁶ But Jesus, when he heard the message spoken, immediately said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Don’t be afraid, only believe.”

³⁷ He allowed no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.

³⁸ He came to the synagogue ruler’s house, and he saw an uproar, weeping, and great wailing.

³⁹ When he had entered in, he said to them, “Why do you make an uproar and weep? The child is not dead, but is asleep.”

⁴⁰ They ridiculed him. But he, having put them all out, took the father of the child, her mother, and those who were with him, and went in where the child was lying.

⁴¹ Taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha cumi!” which means, being interpreted, “Girl, I tell you, get up!”

²⁶ And had undergone much at the hands of a number of medical men, and had given all she had, and was no better, but even worse,

²⁷ When she had news of the things which Jesus did, went among the people coming after him, and put her hand on his robe.

²⁸ For she said, If I may only put my hand on his robe, I will be made well.

²⁹ And straight away the fountain of her blood was stopped, and she had a feeling in her body that her disease had gone and she was well.

³⁰ And straight away Jesus was conscious that power had gone out of him; and, turning to the people, he said, Who was touching my robe?

³¹ And his disciples said to him, You see the people round you on every side, and you say, Who was touching me?

³² And on his looking round to see her who had done this thing,

³³ The woman, shaking with fear, conscious of what had been done to her, came and, falling on her face before him, gave him a true account of everything.

³⁴ And he said to her, Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be free from your disease.

³⁵ And while he was still talking, they came from the ruler of the Synagogue's house, saying, Your daughter is dead: why are you still troubling the Master?

³⁶ But Jesus, giving no attention to their words, said to the ruler of the Synagogue, Have no fear, only have faith.

³⁷ And he did not let anyone come with him, but Peter and James and John, the brother of James.

³⁸ And they came to the house of the ruler of the Synagogue; and he saw people running this way and that, and weeping and crying loudly.

³⁹ And when he had gone in, he said to them, Why are you making such a noise and weeping? The child is not dead, but sleeping.

⁴⁰ And they were laughing at him. But he, having sent them all out, took the father of the child and her mother and those who were with him, and went in where the child was.

⁴¹ And taking her by the hand, he said to her, Talitha cumi, which is, My child, I say to you, Get up.

²⁶ and had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent everything she had and had found no advantage from it, but had rather got worse,

²⁷ having heard concerning Jesus, came in the crowd behind and touched his clothes;

²⁸ for she said, If I shall touch but his clothes I shall be healed.

²⁹ And immediately her fountain of blood was dried up, and she knew in her body that she was cured from the scourge.

³⁰ And immediately Jesus, knowing in himself the power that had gone out of him, turning round in the crowd said, Who has touched my clothes?

³¹ And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the crowd pressing on thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

³² And he looked round about to see her who had done this.

³³ But the woman, frightened and trembling, knowing what had taken place in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

³⁴ And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith has healed thee; go in peace, and be well of thy scourge.

³⁵ While he was yet speaking, they come from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying, Thy daughter has died, why troublest thou the teacher any further?

³⁶ But Jesus immediately, having heard the word spoken, says to the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not; only believe.

³⁷ And he suffered no one to accompany him save Peter and James, and John the brother of James.

³⁸ And he comes to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and sees the tumult, and people weeping and wailing greatly.

³⁹ And entering in he says to them, Why do ye make a tumult and weep? the child has not died, but sleeps.

⁴⁰ And they derided him. But he, having put them all out, takes with him the father of the child, and the mother, and those that were with him, and enters in where the child was lying.

⁴¹ And having laid hold of the hand of the child, he says to her, Talitha koumi, which is, interpreted, Damsel, I say to thee, Arise.

³² And he looked about to see her who had done this.

³⁷ And he admitted not any man to follow him, but Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

³⁸ And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue; and he seeth a tumult, and people weeping and wailing much.

³⁹ And going in, he saith to them: Why make you this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

⁴⁰ And they laughed him to scorn. But he having put them all out, taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

³⁰ And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, He turned in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”

³¹ But His disciples said to Him, “You see the crowd pressing against You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”

³⁵ While He was still speaking, they came from the synagogue leader, saying, “Your daughter has died. Why do you still trouble the Teacher?”

³⁶ But Jesus, immediately when He heard the word being spoken, said to the synagogue leader, “Do not be afraid; only believe.”

³⁷ And He did not permit anyone to follow along with Him except for Peter, James, and John the brother of James.

³⁸ And He went to the house of the synagogue leader, and observed a commotion, and people weeping and wailing, very much.

³⁹ And when He went in, He said to them, “Why are you making such commotion and weeping? The child is not dead, but she is asleep.”

⁴⁰ And they were ridiculing Him. But putting them all out, He took along the father and the mother of the child, and those with Him, and He went in where the child was lying.

⁴¹ And having grasped the hand of the child, He said to her, “Talitha, koumi,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.”

²⁶ and had suffered many things under many doctors, and had spent all that she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse—

²⁷ when she heard about Jesus, she came from behind in the crowd and touched His garment.

²⁸ (She had kept saying, “If I can just touch His clothes, I will be healed.”)

²⁹ Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she knew in her body that she was healed from the affliction.

³⁰ And instantly Jesus perceived within Himself that some power had gone out of Him, and turning around in the crowd He said, “Who touched my clothes?”

³¹ So His disciples said to Him, “You see the crowd pressing around you, yet you say, ‘Who touched me?’?”

³² But He kept looking around to see who had done it.

³³ So the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.

³⁴ And He said to her: “Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go into peace and be healed from your affliction.”

³⁵ While He was still speaking, they came from the synagogue ruler's house saying: “Your daughter died. Why trouble the teacher further?”

³⁶ But immediately upon hearing the spoken message Jesus said to the synagogue ruler, “Don't be afraid; just believe!”

³⁷ He allowed no one to follow Him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James.

³⁸ Then He came to the synagogue ruler's house and found a commotion—weeping and loud wailing.

³⁹ So upon entering He said to them: “Why are you making such a commotion and weeping? The child is not dead, but is asleep.”

⁴⁰ But they started ridiculing Him. After He put them all out, He took the child's father and mother, and those with Him, and went in where the child was lying.

⁴¹ And taking the child by the hand He said to her, “Talitha koumi,” which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”

²⁶ She'd suffered considerably under the care of many doctors, and had spent all she had. But nothing helped her—in fact she'd grown worse.

²⁷ She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd, and touched his cloak.

²⁸ She was telling herself, “If I can just touch his cloak, I'll be healed.”

²⁹ The bleeding stopped immediately, and she felt her body healed from her disease.

³⁰ Jesus, sensing at once that power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my cloak?”

³¹ “Look at the crowd jostling you. What do you mean, ‘Who touched me?’” the disciples replied.

³² But Jesus went on looking around to see who had done it.

³³ The woman, realizing what had happened to her, came and fell down before him, and told him the whole truth.

³⁴ “My daughter, your trust in me has healed you. Go in peace. You have been completely cured of your disease,” Jesus told her.

³⁵ While he was still speaking some people came from the home of the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “You don't need to bother the Teacher any longer.”

³⁶ But Jesus paid no attention to what they said. He told the synagogue leader, “Don't be afraid, just trust in me.”

³⁷ He wouldn't let anyone go with him except Peter, James, and James' brother John.

³⁸ When they arrived at the synagogue leader's house, Jesus saw all the commotion, with people crying and wailing.

³⁹ He went in and asked them, “Why are you making such a commotion with all this crying? The little girl isn't dead, she's just sleeping.”

⁴⁰ They laughed scornfully at him. Jesus made everyone leave. Then he went into the room where the little girl was lying, taking with him the child's father and mother, and the three disciples.

⁴¹ Taking the little girl's hand he said, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl, get up!”

²⁶ And had suffred many things of many physicions, and had spent all that she had, and it auailed her nothing, but she became much worse.

²⁷ When she had heard of Iesus, shee came in the preasse behinde, and touched his garment.

²⁸ For she said, If I may but touch his clothes, I shalbe whole.

²⁹ And straightway the course of her blood was dried vp, and she felt in her body, that she was healed of that plague.

³⁰ And immediatly when Iesus did knowe in himselfe the vertue that went out of him, he turned him round about in the preasse, and said, Who hath touched my clothes?

³¹ And his disciples said vnto him, Thou seest the multitude throng thee, and sayest thou, Who did touche me?

³² And he looked round about, to see her that had done that.

³³ And the woman feared and trembled: for she knewe what was done in her, and shee came and fell downe before him, and tolde him the whole trueth.

²⁸ For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

⁴⁰ And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

⁴¹ And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel (I say unto thee) arise.

²⁶ She used to go to various doctors. They did not heal her. Hers was a big sickness. After that she had no money, still she was staying sick.

²⁷ She heard, “Jesus heals sick people.” After she heard she said to herself, “I will touch just his clothes. After I touch him I will truly become well, I will be without sickness.” She did that. Partway along she came close to him, from behind she touched his clothes.

²⁹ Right then her blood stopped flowing, that woman knew she was well, she was happy.

³⁰ Right then Jesus knew about that, he said to himself, “Someone touched me, that person has become healthy.” He stopped, he turned round. He asked them, “Who touched my clothes.”

³¹ His men said to him, Why did you say that? Many people have been squashing you. Why did you ask, 'Who touched me.'?”

³² He was ignoring them, still he was looking around.

³³ That woman knew about herself, she was truly healthy, without sickness. She was trembling with fear, she came to Jesus. She kneeled down in front of his feet, she truly told him a straight word.

³⁴ Jesus talked kindly to her, “You believed in me for good. Therefore now you are well. Go without fear, you will stay well. From now on you will not again get this sickness.

³⁵ While he was talking to the woman some others came from Jairus's house. They said to Jairus, “Your daughter is dead. Leave the teacher alone. Don't annoy him.

³⁶ Jesus heard their words. He said to Jairus, “Don't be afraid, don't get upset. Still believe in me.”

³⁷ Many people were following Jairus and Jesus. Jesus told them, “Stay here.” Then Jesus picked just three of his men, Peter and James and James's younger brother, John. They went, Jesus and Jairus also, to the camp of Jairus.

³⁸ They went to the front of the house, they stopped. There at the house they saw many people. They were all crying with one another for the young girl.

³⁹ When Jesus entered he told them, “Don't cry. That young girl is only sleeping. She is not dead.”

⁴⁰ They mocked him. They did not believe his word. After that he told them, “Go outside.” Then he told just the mother and father of the child and Peter and James and John, “Let us go to the child.” They went to that dead child.

⁴¹ He held her hand, he said to her, Child, stand up!”

²⁷ having heard about Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.

²⁸ For she said, If I touch even his garments, I shall be made well.

³⁸ He came to the synagogue ruler’s house, and he saw an uproar, weeping, and great wailing.

⁴⁰ They ridiculed him. But he, having put them all out, took the father of the child, her mother, and those who were with him, and went in where the child was lying.

⁴¹ Taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “Talita kumi! ·Little girl, I tell you, get up·!”

²⁶ She went to every doctor but none of them could help her. She spent all her money trying to get better, but it was no good, she only got worse. She kept bleeding for 12 years.

²⁷ Then somebody told her about Jesus and she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his coat, I will get better.” So she came up behind Jesus and touched his coat

²⁹ and straight away her bleeding stopped. She knew she was better.

³⁰ Jesus knew straight away that power went out from him, so he stopped walking, turned around and asked the people, “Who touched my clothes?”

³¹ Jesus’s followers said, “There are big mobs of people here pushing up against you. Why do you ask, ‘Who touched me?’ Lots of people touched you.”

³² Jesus kept on looking around to see the person that used his power.

³³ That woman knew that she was the one that got better, so she was very frightened and she was shaking. She came to Jesus and got down on her knees in front of him, to show him respect, and she told him her story. She told him that she touched him.

³⁴ Jesus said to her, “Dear Lady, you really believed in me, so now you are better. You can go home and have no more trouble. You are not sick any more.”

³⁵ While Jesus was talking to the woman, somebody came to Jairus from his house with bad news. He said, “I’m sorry, it’s too late. Your little girl is dead. Don’t worry Jesus now.”

³⁶ Jesus heard their words but took no notice. He said to Jairus, “Don’t be frightened. Just trust me.”

³⁷ Then Jesus told the people, “Stay away from this man’s house.” He only let a few people go with him. They were the girl’s father and mother, and Peter, and James and his young brother John. They were the only ones that went with him.

³⁸ They got close to the house, and Jesus heard other people inside it making a big noise. They were crying and shouting aloud for that dead girl.

³⁹ Jesus went into the house and asked them, “Why are you making all this noise? That little girl isn’t dead. She is just asleep.”

⁴⁰ They knew the girl was dead, so they just laughed at Jesus. He told them, “Get out,” and he forced them all outside the house. Then Jesus said to the girl’s mother and father, and to his 3 friends, “You come with me.” Then they went together into the room where the girl lay.

⁴¹ Jesus held the girl’s hand and said to her, in their language, “Talitha Koum.” This means Wake up little girl.

²⁶ and had suffred many thinges of many phisicions and had spet all that she had and felte none amendment at all but wexed worsse and worsse.

²⁷ When she had herde of Iesus: she came into the preace behynde him and touched his garmet.

²⁸ For she thought: yf I maye but touche his clothes I shall be whole.

³⁷ He allowed no one to follow him except Peter, Jacob, and Yochanan the brother of Jacob.

³⁸ He came to the synagogue ruler’s house, and he saw an uproar, weeping, and great wailing.

³⁹ When he had entered in, he said to them, “Why do you make an uproar and weep? The child is not dead, but is asleep.”

⁴⁰ They ridiculed him. But he, having put them all out, took the father of the child, her mother, and those who were with him, and went in where the child was lying.

⁴¹ Taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha cumi!” which means, being interpreted, “Girl, I tell you, get up!”

²⁶ and had received many things of full many leeches, and had spended all her good or her things, and was nothing amended or and nothing profited, but was rather the worse,

²⁷ when she had heard of Jesus, she came among the people behind, and touched his cloth.

²⁸ For she said, That if I touch yea his cloth, I shall be safe.

²⁹ And anon the well of her blood was dried up, and she feeled in her body that she was healed of the sickness.

³⁰ And anon Jesus knew in himself the virtue that was gone out of him, and he turned to the people, and said, Who touched my clothes?

³¹ And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the people thrusting or pressing thee, and sayest, Who touched me?

³² And Jesus looked about to see her that had done this thing.

³³ And the woman dreaded, and quaked, witting that it was done in her, and came, and felled down before him, and said to him all the truth. Forsooth the woman dreading, and trembling, knowing that it was done in her, came, and fell down before him, and said to him all the truth.

³⁴ And Jesus said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee safe; go in peace, and be thou whole of thy sickness.

³⁵ Yet while he spake, messengers came to the prince of the synagogue, and said, Thy daughter is dead; what travailest thou the master further?

³⁶ But when the word was heard that was said, Jesus said to the prince of the synagogue, Do not thou dread, only believe thou.

³⁷ And he took no man to pursue him, but Peter, and James, and John, the brother of James.

³⁸ And they came into the house of the prince of the synagogue. And he saw noise, and men weeping and wailing much.

³⁹ And he went in, and said to them, What be ye troubled, and weep? The damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

⁴⁰ And they scorned him. But when all were put out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and they entered, where the damsel lay.

⁴¹ And he held the hand of the damsel, and said to her, Talitha, cumi, that is to say, Damsel, I say to thee, arise.

²⁶ and had received many things of full many leeches, and had spended all her good(s), (or and had received many treatments from a great many physicians, and had spent all her money), and was nothing amended or and (had) nothing profited, but was rather the worse,

²⁷ when she had heard of Jesus, she came among the people behind, and touched his cloth (or and touched his cloak).

²⁸ For she said, That if I touch yea his cloth, I shall be safe. (For she said to herself, If I touch even his cloak, then I shall be saved, or I shall be healed.)

²⁹ And anon (or at once) the well of her blood was dried up, and she feeled in her body that she was healed of the sickness.

³⁰ And anon Jesus knew in himself the virtue that was gone out of him (or And at once Jesus knew in himself that power had gone out of him), and he turned to the people, and said, Who touched my clothes?

³¹ And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the people thrusting or pressing thee, and sayest, Who touched me?

³² And Jesus looked about to see her that had done this thing.

³³ And the woman dreaded, and quaked, (or And the woman was afraid, and shook), witting that it was done in her, and came, and felled down before him, and said to him all the truth. ³⁴ And Jesus said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee safe; go in peace, and be thou whole of thy sickness. (And Jesus said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath saved thee, or thy faith hath healed thee; go in peace, and be thou healed of thy sickness.)

³⁵ Yet while he spake, messengers came to the prince of the synagogue (or messengers came to the leader of the synagogue), and said, Thy daughter is dead; what travailest thou the master (or the teacher) further?

³⁶ But when the word was heard that was said, Jesus said to the prince of the synagogue, Do not thou dread, only believe thou. (But when this word was heard that was said, Jesus said to the leader of the synagogue, Do not fear, only believe.)

³⁷ And he took no man to (pur)sue him (or And he allowed no one to follow him), but Peter, and James, and John, the brother of James.

³⁸ And they came into the house of the prince of the synagogue. And he saw noise, and men weeping and wailing much. (And they came into the house of the leader of the synagogue. And he saw a commotion, with people loudly weeping and wailing.)

³⁹ And he went in, and said to them, What be ye troubled (about), and weep? (or Why be ye troubled, and weep?) The damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

⁴⁰ And they scorned him. But when (they) all were put out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and they entered, where the damsel lay.

⁴¹ And he held the hand of the damsel, and said to her, Talitha, cumi, that is to say, Damsel, I say to thee, arise.

²⁶ and hadde resseyued many thingis of ful many lechis, and hadde spendid al hir good, and was nothing amendid, but was rather the wors, whanne sche hadde herd of Jhesu,

²⁷ sche cam among the puple bihynde, and touchide his cloth.

²⁸ For sche seide, That if Y touche yhe his cloth, Y schal be saaf.

²⁹ And anoon the welle of hir blood was dried vp, and sche felide in bodi that sche was heelid of the siknesse.

³⁰ And anoon Jhesus knewe in hym silf the vertu that was goon out of hym, and turnede to the puple, and seide, Who touchide my clothis?

³¹ And hise disciplis seiden to hym, Thou seest the puple thristynge thee, and seist, Who touchide me?

³² And Jhesus lokide aboute to se hir that hadde don this thing.

³³ And the womman dredde, and quakide, witynge that it was doon in hir, and cam, and felde doun bifor hym, and seide to hym al the treuthe.

³⁴ And Jhesus seide to hyr, Douytir, thi feith hath maad thee saaf; go in pees, and he thou hool of thi sijknesse.

³⁵ Yit while he spak, messangeris camen to the prince of the synagoge, and seien, Thi douytir is deed; what traueilist thou the maistir ferther?

³⁶ But whanne the word was herd that was seid, Jhesus seide to the prince of the synagoge, Nyle thou drede, oonli bileue thou.

³⁷ And he took no man to sue hym, but Petir, and James, and Joon, the brother of James.

³⁸ And thei camen in to the hous of the prince of the synagoge. And he saie noyse, and men wepynge and weilynge myche.

³⁹ And he yede ynne, and seide to hem, What ben ye troublid, and wepen? The damesel is not deed, but slepith.

⁴⁰ And thei scorneden hym. But whanne alle weren put out, he takith the fadir and the modir of the damesel, and hem that weren with hym, and thei entren, where the damysel laye.

⁴¹ And he helde the hoond of the damesel, and seide to hir, Tabita, cumy, that is to seie, Damysel, Y seie to thee, arise.

²⁶ and many things having suffered under many physicians, and having spent all that she had, and having profited nothing, but rather having come to the worse,

²⁷ having heard about Jesus, having come in the multitude behind, she touched his garment,

²⁸ for she said — 'If even his garments I may touch, I shall be saved;'

²⁹ and immediately was the fountain of her blood dried up, and she knew in the body that she hath been healed of the plague.

³⁰ And immediately Jesus having known in himself that out of him power had gone forth, having turned about in the multitude, said, 'Who did touch my garments?'

³¹ and his disciples said to him, 'Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and thou sayest, 'Who did touch me!'

³² And he was looking round to see her who did this,

³³ and the woman, having been afraid, and trembling, knowing what was done on her, came, and fell down before him, and told him all the truth,

³⁴ and he said to her, 'Daughter, thy faith hath saved thee; go away in peace, and be whole from thy plague.'

³⁵ As he is yet speaking, there come from the chief of the synagogue's house, certain, saying — 'Thy daughter did die, why still dost thou harass the Teacher?'

³⁶ And Jesus immediately, having heard the word that is spoken, saith to the chief of the synagogue, 'Be not afraid, only believe.'

³⁷ And he did not suffer any one to follow with him, except Peter, and James, and John the brother of James;

³⁸ and he cometh to the house of the chief of the synagogue, and seeth a tumult, much weeping and wailing;

³⁹ and having gone in he saith to them, 'Why do ye make a tumult, and weep? the child did not die, but doth sleep;

⁴⁰ and they were laughing at him. And he, having put all forth, doth take the father of the child, and the mother, and those with him, and goeth in where the child is lying,

⁴¹ and, having taken the hand of the child, he saith to her, 'Talitha cumi;' which is, being interpreted, 'Damsel (I say to thee), arise.'
