¹¹ And ye shall say unto the master of the house, The Teacher saith unto thee, Where is the guest-chamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

¹² And he will show you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.

¹³ And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

¹⁴ And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the apostles with him.

¹⁵ And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:

¹⁶ for I say unto you, I shall not eat it, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

¹⁷ And he received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:

¹⁸ for I say unto you, I shall not drink from henceforth of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.

¹⁹ And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and gave to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

²⁰ And the cup in like manner after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, even that which is poured out for you.

²¹ But behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.

²² For the Son of man indeed goeth, as it hath been determined: but woe unto that man through whom he is betrayed!

²³ And they began to question among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.

²⁴ And there arose also a contention among them, which of them was accounted to be greatest.

²⁵ And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles have lordship over them; and they that have authority over them are called Benefactors.

²⁶ But ye shall not be so: but he that is the greater among you, let him become as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.

²⁷ For which is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am in the midst of you as he that serveth.

²⁸ But ye are they that have continued with me in my temptations;

²⁹ and I appoint unto you a kingdom, even as my Father appointed unto me,

³⁰ that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and ye shall sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

³¹ Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat:

³² but I made supplication for thee, that thy faith fail not; and do thou, when once thou hast turned again, establish thy brethren.

³¹ Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat:

³² but I made supplication for thee, that thy faith fail not: and do thou, when once thou hast turned again, stablish thy brethren.

¹¹ tell the owner of the house, ‘ Our teacher says that we(exc) should ask you(sg) to please show us the room that he arranged with you where he can eat the Passover meal with us, his disciples RHQ.’

¹² He will show you a large room that is on the upper floor of the house. It will be all set up for a meal. Prepare the meal for us there.”

¹³ So the two disciples went into the city. They found everything to be just like Jesus had told them. So they prepared the meal for the Passover celebration there.

¹⁴ When it was time MTY to eat the Passover meal, Jesus came and sat down with the twelve apostles.

¹⁵ He said to them, “I have greatly desired to eat this Passover meal with you before I suffer and die.

¹⁶ I want you to know that I will not eat the Passover meal again until all those whose lives God rules completely realize what it represents.”

¹⁷ Then he took a cup of wine and thanked God for it. Then he said, “Take this, and each of you drink some of it.

¹⁸ I want you to know that from now on I will not drink wine until God makes me king.”

¹⁹ Then he took some bread and thanked God for it. He broke it into pieces and gave it to them to eat. He said, “This bread represents my body, which I am about to sacrifice for you. Keep on eating bread this way regularly to remember what I have done for you.”

²⁰ Similarly, after they had eaten the meal, he took another cup of wine. He said, “ The wine in MTY this cup represents my blood, which will soon flow from my body when I die. With this blood I will sign the new agreement that God is making with you.

²¹ But note that the one SYN who will enable my enemies to seize me is eating right here with me!

²² It is certain that I, the one who came from heaven, will die, because that is what God has planned. But there will be terrible punishment for the man who will ◄betray me/enable my enemies to seize me►!”

²³ Then they began to ask one another, “Which of us would do such a thing?”

²⁴ The apostles began to argue among themselves, saying, “Which one of us will be the greatest when Jesus becomes king?”

²⁵ So Jesus said to them, “The kings of the non-Jews enjoy showing that they are powerful. Yet they give themselves the title, ‘ones who help the people.’

²⁶ But you should not be like them! Instead, those who want God to consider them the greatest should act as though they were the youngest, since the youngest are expected to serve the older ones. Whoever is a leader should be one who serves the others.

²⁷ Keep in mind who is the most important one RHQ. It is certainly the one who just sits at the table, not RHQ those who serve the meal. But I, your leader, have been an example for you by serving you while I have been among you.

²⁸ You are the ones who have stayed with me during all my troubles.

²⁹ So now, just like my Father has appointed me to rule as a king, I am appointing you

³⁰ so that you can sit and eat and rule MET with me when I become king. You will sit on thrones to judge the people of the twelve tribes of Israel.”

³¹ “Simon, Simon, listen! Satan has asked God to let him test you, and God has permitted him to do it. Satan wants to cause you to suffer distress (OR, distress you) so that you will not believe/trust in me anymore/longer. He wants to shake you, just like a man shakes wheat in a sieve to sift it MET.

³² But I have prayed for you, Simon, that you will not completely stop believing in me. So when you (sg) restore your relationship with me, help your fellow apostles to trust in me more!”

¹⁶ for I tell you, I will no longer by any means eat of it until it is fulfilled in God’s Kingdom.”

¹¹ And say to the master of the house, The Master says, Where is the guest-room, where I may take the Passover with my disciples?

¹² And he will take you up to a great room with a table and seats: there make ready.

¹³ And they went, and it was as he had said: and they made the Passover ready.

¹⁴ And when the time had come, he took his seat, and the Apostles with him.

¹⁵ And he said, I have had a great desire to keep this Passover with you before I come to my death;

¹⁶ For I say to you, I will not take it till it is made complete in the kingdom of God.

¹⁷ And he took a cup and, having given praise, he said, Make division of this among yourselves;

¹⁸ For I say to you, I will not take of the fruit of the vine till the kingdom of God has come.

¹⁹ And he took bread and, having given praise, he gave it to them when it had been broken, saying, This is my body, which is given for you: do this in memory of me.

²⁰ And in the same way, after the meal, he took the cup, saying, This cup is the new testament, made with my blood which is given for you.

²¹ But the hand of him who is false to me is with me at the table.

²² For it will be done to the Son of man after the purpose of God, but unhappy is that man by whom he is given up.

²³ And they were wondering among themselves which of them it was who would do this thing.

²⁴ And there was an argument among them about which of them was the greatest.

²⁵ And he said, The kings of the Gentiles are lords over them, and those who have authority are given names of honour.

²⁶ But let it not be so with you; but he who is greater, let him become like the younger; and he who is chief, like a servant.

²⁷ For which is greater, the guest who is seated at a meal or the servant who is waiting on him? is it not the guest? but I am among you as a servant.

²⁸ But you are those who have kept with me through my troubles;

²⁹ And I will give you a kingdom as my Father has given one to me,

³⁰ So that you may take food and drink at my table in my kingdom, and be seated like kings, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

³¹ Simon, Simon, Satan has made a request to have you, so that he may put you to the test as grain is tested:

³² But I have made prayer for you, that your faith may not go from you: and when you are turned again, make your brothers strong.

¹¹ and ye shall say to the master of the house, The Teacher says to thee, Where is the guest-chamber where I may eat the passover with my disciples?

¹² And he will shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.

¹³ And having gone they found it as he had said to them; and they prepared the passover.

²¹ Moreover, behold, the hand of him that delivers me up is with me on the table;

²² and the Son of man indeed goes as it is determined, but woe unto that man by whom he is delivered up.

²³ And they began to question together among themselves who then it could be of them who was about to do this.

²⁴ And there was also a strife among them which of them should be held to be the greatest.

²⁵ And he said to them, The kings of the nations rule over them, and they that exercise authority over them are called benefactors.

²⁶ But ye shall not be thus; but let the greater among you be as the younger, and the leader as he that serves.

²⁷ For which is greater, he that is at table or he that serves? Is not he that is at table? But I am in the midst of you as the one that serves.

²⁸ But ye are they who have persevered with me in my temptations.

²⁹ And I appoint unto you, as my Father has appointed unto me, a kingdom,

³⁰ that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

³¹ And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded to have you, to sift you as wheat;

³² but I have besought for thee that thy faith fail not; and thou, when once thou hast been restored, confirm thy brethren.

¹¹ And you shall say to the goodman of the house: The master saith to thee, Where is the guest chamber, where I may eat the pasch with my disciples?

¹² And he will shew you a large dining room, furnished; and there prepare.

¹³ And they going, found as he had said to them, and made ready the pasch.

¹⁴ And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.

¹⁵ And he said to them: With desire I have desired to eat this pasch with you, before I suffer.

¹⁶ For I say to you, that from this time I will not eat it, till it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

¹⁷ And having taken the chalice, he gave thanks, and said: Take, and divide it among you:

²⁰ In like manner the chalice also, after he had supped, saying: This is the chalice, the new testament in my blood, which shall be shed for you.

²¹ But yet behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.

²² And the Son of man indeed goeth, according to that which is determined: but yet, woe to that man by whom he shall be betrayed.

²³ And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.

²⁹ And I dispose to you, as my Father hath disposed to me, a kingdom;

³⁰ That you may eat and drink at my table, in my kingdom: and may sit upon thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

³¹ And the Lord said: Simon, Simon, behold Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

³² But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and thou, being once converted, confirm thy brethren.

¹¹ Then you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?” ’

¹² And that man will show you a large, furnished upper room; there prepare it.”

¹³ So they went and found it just as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover.

¹⁴ When the hour had come, He reclined to eat, and the twelve apostles with Him.

¹⁵ Then He said to them, “I have fervently desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer;

¹⁶ for I say to you, that no longer will I eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”

¹⁷ Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves;

¹⁸ for I say to you, that I will by no means drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”

¹⁹ And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

²⁰ Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.

²¹ Nevertheless behold, the hand of him that betrays Me is with Me on the table.

²² And indeed the Son of Man goes according to what is determined, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!”

²³ Then they began to discuss with one another, which of them might be the one who was about to do this.

²⁴ And there arose also a dispute among them, as to which one of them was the greatest.

²⁶ But it is not this way with you; let the greatest among you, let him be as the youngest, and he who leads as he who serves.

²⁷ For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves.

²⁸ “Now you are those who have remained with Me in My trials.

²⁹ And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me,

³⁰ so that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”

³¹ And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Behold, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.

³² But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

¹¹ Then you must say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you: Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’

¹² He himself will show you a large upper room, all furnished; make preparations there.”

¹³ So off they went and found things just as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover.

¹⁴ When the hour had come, He reclined, and the twelve apostles with Him.

¹⁵ Then He said to them: “I have fervently desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.

¹⁶ I tell you further that I will not eat of it again until it is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”

¹⁷ And taking a cup He gave thanks and said: “Take this and share it among yourselves.

¹⁸ I tell you further that I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the Kingdom of God comes.”

¹⁹ Then, after the meal, He took bread, gave thanks, broke and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”

²⁰ He also took the cup, saying: “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you.

²¹ “But alas, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table!

²² To be sure, the Son of the Man is going as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!”

²³ (They began to question among themselves which of them it might be who was about to do this.)

²⁴ Now there had actually been a discussion among them as to which of them seemed to be greater.

²⁵ So He said to them: “The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those who exercise authority over them are called ‘benefactors’.

²⁶ But not so with you—rather let the greater among you become as the younger, and he who leads as he who serves.

²⁷ Who is greater, the one reclining or the one serving? Is it not the one reclining? Yet I am among you as the one who serves.

²⁸ However, you are those who have continued with me in my trials.

³² But I have prayed for you (sg) so that your faith not fail completely; so you, when you have recovered, strengthen your brothers.”

¹¹ Tell the owner of the house that the Teacher asks you, ‘Where is the dining room where I can eat the Passover with my disciples?’

¹² He'll show you a large upstairs room that already has the necessary furniture. Prepare the meal there.”

¹³ They went and found that everything was just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover meal there.

¹⁴ When the time came, he sat down at the table with his apostles. He told them,

¹⁵ “I've been really looking forward to eating this Passover meal with you before my sufferings begin.

¹⁶ I tell you I shall not eat it again until the time is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”

¹⁷ Jesus took the cup, and after he had given thanks, he said, “Take this and share it among yourselves.

¹⁸ I tell you that I won't drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”

¹⁹ He picked up some bread, and after he had given thanks, he broke it into pieces and gave it to them. “This is my body which is given for you; do this in order to remember me,” Jesus told them.

²⁰ In the same way after they had finished supper, he picked up the cup and said, “This cup is the new agreement in my blood which is poured out for you.”

²¹ “In spite of this, my betrayer is sitting right here with me at the table.

²² For it has been determined that the Son of man will die, yet how disastrous it will be for his betrayer!”

²³ They began to argue among themselves as to who this might be and who could do this.

²⁴ At the same time they also got into a quarrel about which of them was the most important.

²⁵ Jesus told them, “Foreign kings lord it over their subjects, and those having power even want people to call them ‘benefactors.’

²⁶ But it should not be so with you! Whoever is highest among you should be like the lowest, and the leader should be like a servant.

²⁷ Who is greater—the one who sits at the table, or the one who serves? Isn't it the one who sits at the table? But I'm among you as the one who serves.

²⁸ You have stayed with me throughout my trials.

²⁹ And I grant to you authority to rule, just as my Father granted it to me,

³⁰ so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”

²¹ Yet see! The hand of the man who is betraying me is beside me on the table!

²² True, the Son of Man is passing, by the way ordained for him, yet alas for that man by whom he is being betrayed!”

²³ Then they began questioning one another which of them it could be who was going to do this.

²⁴ And a dispute arose amongst them as to which of them was to be regarded as the greatest.

¹³ And they went and foude as he had sayd vnto the: and made redy the ester lambe.

¹⁵ And he sayde vnto them: I have inwardly desyred to eate this ester lambe with you before that I suffre.

¹⁶ For I saye vnto you: hence forthe I will not eate of it eny moore vntill it be fulfilled in the kingdome of God.

¹⁷ And he toke the cup and gave thankes and sayde. Take this and devyde it amonge you.

¹⁸ For I saye vnto you: I will not drinke of the frute of the vyne vntill the kingdome of God be come.

¹⁹ And he toke breed gave thankes and gave to them sayinge: This is my body which is geven for you. This do in the remembraunce of me.

²⁶ But ye shall not be so. But he that is greatest amonge you shalbe as the yongest: and he that is chefe shalbe as the minister.

²⁷ For whether is greater he that sitteth at meate: or he that serveth? Is not he that sitteth at meate? And I am amonge you as he that ministreth.

¹⁸ for I tell you, I will not drink at all again from the fruit of the vine, until God’s Kingdom comes.”

¹⁹ He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”

²⁰ Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

²¹ But behold, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table.

²² The Son of Man indeed goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man through whom he is betrayed!”

²³ They began to question amongst themselves which of them it was who would do this thing.

²⁴ A dispute also arose amongst them, which of them was considered to be greatest.

²⁵ He said to them, “The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’

²⁶ But not so with you. Rather, the one who is greater amongst you, let him become as the younger, and one who is governing, as one who serves.

²⁷ For who is greater, one who sits at the table, or one who serves? Isn’t it he who sits at the table? But I am amongst you as one who serves.

²⁸ “But you are those who have continued with me in my trials.

²⁹ I confer on you a kingdom, even as my Father conferred on me,

³⁰ that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. You will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”

³¹ The Lord said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have all of you, that he might sift you as wheat,

³² but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn’t fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers.”

¹¹ And ye shall say to the master of the house, The Master saith to thee, Where is the guest-chamber, where I may eat the passover with my disciples?

¹² And he will show you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.

¹³ And they went and found as he had said to them: and they made ready the passover.

¹⁴ And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.

¹⁵ And he said to them, I have earnestly desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer.

²⁷ For which is greater, he that sitteth at table, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at table? but I am among you as he that serveth.

²⁸ Ye are they who have continued with me in my temptations.

²⁹ And I appoint to you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed to me;

¹⁸ for I say to you, that I shall not drink of the kind or of the generation of this vine, till the realm of God come.

¹⁹ And when he had taken bread, he did thankings or graces, and brake, and gave to them, and said, This is my body, that shall be given for you; do ye this thing in mind of me or into my commemoration.

²⁰ He took also the cup or the chalice, after that he had supped, and said, This cup is the new testament in my blood, that shall be shed for you.

²¹ Nevertheless lo! the hand of him that betrayeth me, is with me at the table.

²² And man’s Son goeth, as it is determined; nevertheless woe to that man, by whom he shall be betrayed.

²⁵ But he said to them, Kings of heathen men be lords of them, and they that have power on them be called good doers,

²⁶ but ye not so; but he that is the greatest among you, be made as a younger or as the younger, and he that is a before-goer, as a servant.

²⁷ For who is greater, he that sitteth at the meat, or he that ministereth? whether not he that sitteth at the meat? And I am in the middle or in the midst of you, as he that ministereth.

²⁸ And ye it be, that have dwelled with me in my temptations;

²⁹ and I assign or dispose to you, as my Father hath assigned or disposed to me, a realm.

³⁰ that ye eat and drink on my board in my realm, and sit on thrones, and deem the twelve kindreds of Israel.

³¹ And the Lord said to Simon, Simon, lo! Satan hath asked you, that he should riddle you as wheat;

³² but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not; and thou sometime converted, confirm thy brethren.

¹¹ And ye shall say to the husbandman of the house, The master saith to thee, Where is a chamber, where I shall eat the pask with my disciples? (And ye shall say to the head of the house, The Teacher saith to thee, Where is the room, where I shall eat the Passover with my disciples?)

¹² And he shall show to you a great supping place strewed, and there make ye (it) ready (or and prepare it there).

¹³ And (so) they went, and found (it) as he said to them, and they made ready the pask (or and they prepared the Passover).

¹⁴ And when the hour was come, he sat at the meat (or he sat down for the meal), and the twelve apostles with him.

¹⁵ And he said to them, With desire I have desired to eat with you this pask, before that I suffer; (And he said to them, With great desire I have wanted to eat this Passover with you, before that I suffer;)

¹⁶ for I say to you, that from this time I shall not eat it, till it be fulfilled in the realm of God. (for I tell you, that from this time on I shall not eat it, until it is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.)

¹⁷ And when he had taken the cup, he did graces, or he did thankings, and said, Take ye, and part ye among you; (And when he had taken the cup, he gave thanks, and said, Take this, and share it among you;)

³¹ And the Lord said to Simon, Simon, lo! Satan hath asked (for) you, that he should riddle you as wheat (or so that he could sift you like wheat);

³² but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not; and thou sometime converted or and thou converted sometime, confirm thy brethren, (or and after thou hast returned to thy right mind, that thou strengthen thy brothers).

¹² And he schal schewe to you a greet soupyng place strewid, and there make ye redi.

¹³ And thei yeden, and founden as he seide to hem, and thei maden redi the pask.

¹⁴ And whanne the our was come, he sat to the mete, and the twelue apostlis with hym.

¹⁵ And he seide to hem, With desier Y haue desirid to ete with you this pask, bifor that Y suffre;

¹⁶ for Y seie to you, that fro this tyme Y schal not ete it, til it be fulfillid in the rewme of God.

¹⁷ And whanne he hadde take the cuppe, he dide gracis, and seide, Take ye, and departe ye among you;

¹⁸ for Y seie to you, that Y schal not drynke of the kynde of this vyne, til the rewme of God come.

¹⁹ And whanne he hadde take breed, he dide thankyngis, and brak, and yaf to hem, and seide, This is my bodi, that schal be youun for you; do ye this thing in mynde of me.

²⁰ He took also the cuppe, aftir that he hadde soupid, and seide, This cuppe is the newe testament in my blood, that schal be sched for you.

²³ And thei bigunnen to seke among hem, who it was of hem, that was to do this thing.

²⁴ And strijf was maad among hem, which of hem schulde be seyn to be grettest.

²⁵ But he seide to hem, Kyngis of hethen men ben lordis of hem, and thei that han power on hem ben clepid good doeris, but ye not so;

²⁶ but he that is grettest among you, be maad as yongere, and he that is bifor goere, as a seruaunt.

²⁷ For who is gretter, he that sittith at the mete, or he that mynystrith? whether not he that sittith at the mete? And Y am in the myddil of you, as he that mynystrith.

²⁸ And ye ben, that han dwellid with me in my temptaciouns; and Y dispose to you,

²⁹ as my fadir hath disposid to me,

³⁰ a rewme, that ye ete and drynke on my boord in my rewme, and sitte on trones, and deme the twelue kynredis of Israel.

³¹ And the Lord seide to Symount, Symount, lo, Satanas hath axid you, that he schulde ridile as whete; but Y haue preyede for thee,

³² that thi feith faile not; and thou sum tyme conuertid, conferme thi britheren.

¹⁵ and he said unto them, 'With desire I did desire to eat this passover with you before my suffering,

¹⁶ for I say to you, that no more may I eat of it till it may be fulfilled in the reign of God.'

¹⁷ And having taken a cup, having given thanks, he said, 'Take this and divide to yourselves,

¹⁸ for I say to you that I may not drink of the produce of the vine till the reign of God may come.'

¹⁹ And having taken bread, having given thanks, he brake and gave to them, saying, 'This is my body, that for you is being given, this do ye — to remembrance of me.'

²⁰ In like manner, also, the cup after the supping, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood, that for you is being poured forth.

²¹ 'But, lo, the hand of him delivering me up is with me on the table,

²² and indeed the Son of Man doth go according to what hath been determined; but woe to that man through whom he is being delivered up.'

²³ And they began to reason among themselves, who then of them it may be, who is about to do this thing.

²⁴ And there happened also a strife among them — who of them is accounted to be greater.

²⁵ And he said to them, 'The kings of the nations do exercise lordship over them, and those exercising authority upon them are called benefactors;

²⁶ but ye are not so, but he who is greater among you — let him be as the younger; and he who is leading, as he who is ministering;

²⁷ for who is greater? he who is reclining (at meat), or he who is ministering? is it not he who is reclining (at meat)? and I — I am in your midst as he who is ministering.

²⁸ 'And ye — ye are those who have remained with me in my temptations,

²⁹ and I appoint to you, as my Father did appoint to me, a kingdom,

³⁰ that ye may eat and may drink at my table, in my kingdom, and may sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.'

³¹ And the Lord said, 'Simon, Simon, lo, the Adversary did ask you for himself to sift as the wheat,

³² and I besought for thee, that thy faith may not fail; and thou, when thou didst turn, strengthen thy brethren.'
