¹³ Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you.

¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven? thou shalt be brought down unto Hades.

¹³ Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you.

¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.

¹⁴ Howbeit it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you.

¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven? thou shalt be brought down unto Hades.

¹³ “There will be terrible punishment for you people who live in MTY Chorazin and Bethsaida cities. I did great miracles in your cities to show God's power, but you did not turn from your sinful behavior. If the miracles that I performed in your cities had been done in Tyre and Sidon cities, the wicked people who lived there would have long ago shown that they were sorry for their sins by sitting on the ground wearing coarse cloth and putting ashes on their heads.

¹⁴ But they did not have the opportunity that you have, so when God punishes people, he will punish the wicked people who lived in Tyre and Sidon, but he will punish you more severely because you did not pay attention to my message.

¹⁵ I also have something to say to you people who live in Capernaum city. ◄Do not think that you will be honored { that God will honor you} in heaven!/Do you think that you will be honored { that God will honor you} in heaven?► RHQ That will not happen! On the contrary, after you die, God will send you down to the place where sinful people will be punished forever!”

¹³ “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.

¹⁵ You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades.

¹³ “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.

¹³ A curse is on you, Chorazin! A curse is on you, Beth-saida! For if such works of power had been done in Tyre and Sidon as have been done in you, they would have been turned from their sins, in days gone by, seated in the dust.

¹⁴ But it will be better for Tyre and Sidon, in the day of judging, than for you.

¹⁵ And you, Capernaum, were you not lifted up to heaven? you will go down to hell.

¹³ Woe to thee, Chorazin! woe to thee, Bethsaida! for if the works of power which have taken place in you had taken place in Tyre and Sidon, they had long ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.

¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, who hast been raised up to heaven, shalt be brought down even to hades.

¹³ Woe to thee, Corozain, woe to thee, Bethsaida. For if in Tyre and Sidon had been wrought the mighty works that have been wrought in you, they would have done penance long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgement, than for you.

¹⁵ And thou, Capharnaum, which art exalted unto heaven, thou shalt be thrust down to hell.

¹³ “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! Because if the miracles which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ Nevertheless it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.

¹⁵ And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades.

¹³ “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! Because if the mighty works that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ Nevertheless it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the Judgment than for you.

¹⁵ And you, Capernaum, who are ‘exalted to heaven’, will be brought down to Hades.

¹³ Shame on you Korazin! Shame on you Bethsaida! For if the miracles you saw happen had happened in Tyre and Sidon they would have repented a long time ago, and they would be sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ That's why in the judgment it will be better for Tyre and Sidon than for you.

¹⁵ And you, Capernaum, you won't be exalted to heaven; you will go down to Hades.

¹³ Woe be to thee, Chorazin: woe be to thee, Beth-saida: for if the miracles had bene done in Tyrus and Sidon, which haue bene done in you, they had a great while agone repented, sitting in sackecloth and ashes.

¹⁴ Therefore it shall be easier for Tyrus, and Sidon, at the iudgement, then for you.

¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heauen, shalt be thrust downe to hell.

¹³ Woe unto thee, Chorazin, woe unto thee, Bethsaida: for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹³ Alas for you, Chorazin! Alas for you, Bethsaida! For, if the Miracles which have been done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have sat in sackcloth and ashes and repented long ago.

¹⁴ Yet the doom of Tyre and Sidon will be more bearable at the judgement than yours.

¹⁵ And you, Capernaum! Will you exalt yourself to heaven? You will be flung down to Hades.

¹³ Alas for you, Chorazin! Alas for you, Bethsaida! For, if the Miracles which have been done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have sat in sackcloth and ashes and repented long ago.

¹⁴ Yet the doom of Tyre and Sidon will be more bearable at the judgment than yours.

¹⁵ And you, Capernaum! Will you exalt yourself to heaven? You will be flung down to Hades.

¹³ “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have made teshuvah ·complete repentance· long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.

¹⁵ You, Capernaum Village-Comfort, Village-Compassion, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades / Sh'ol ·Place of the dead·.

¹³ Jesus talked to the people that lived in some towns. He said, “You mob that live in Korazin and Bethsaida, you will be really sorry. You see, I did a lot of powerful things there in your towns, but you didn’t listen to me, and you kept on doing bad things. Do you remember those towns called Tyre and Sidon? Many years ago their people did bad things. At that time I didn’t go and do powerful things for them, so they didn’t get the chance to listen to me, so they didn’t turn around and stop doing bad things. If they got that chance they would be very sorry for the bad things they did, and they would turn to God. But that didn’t happen.

¹⁴ You know, one day God will judge everybody, and he will punish those people for the bad things they did, but he will punish you mob a lot more than he will punish that mob. You mob had the chance to turn around, but you didn’t do it.

¹⁵ And it’s the same for you mob that live in Capernaum. You reckon you are good, so you reckon God will take you up into heaven. But you are wrong. He knows you are no good, and he will chuck you into hell.”

¹³ Wo be to the Chorazin: wo be to the Bethsaida. For yf the miracles had bene done in Tyre and Sidon which have bene done in you they had a greate whyle agone repeted sitting in heere and asshes.

¹⁴ Neverthelesse it shalbe easier for Tyre and Sidon at the iudgement then for you.

¹⁵ And thou Capernau which art exalted to heaven shalt be thrust doune to hell.

¹³ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.

¹⁵ You, Capernaum, do you think you will be exalted to heaven? No, you will be brought down to Hades.

¹³ “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.

¹⁴ But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.

¹⁵ You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Sheol.

¹³ “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgement than for you.

¹⁵ You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Sheol.

¹³ Woe to thee, Chorazin; woe to thee, Bethsaida; for if in Tyre and Sidon the virtues had been done, which have been done in you, some-time they would have sat in haircloth and ashes, and have done penance.

¹⁴ Nevertheless to Tyre and Sidon it shall be easier in the doom, than to you.

¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, art enhanced till to heaven; thou shalt be drenched or drowned down till into hell.

¹³ Woe to thee, Chorazin; woe to thee, Bethsaida; for if in Tyre and Sidon the virtues had been done, which have been done in you, sometime they would have sat in haircloth and ashes, and have done penance. (Woe to thee, Chorazin! woe to thee, Bethsaida! for if in Tyre and Sidon the works of power, or the miracles, had been done, which have been done in you, long ago they would have sat in sackcloth and ashes, and have repented.)

¹⁴ Nevertheless to Tyre and Sidon it shall be easier in the doom, than to you. (Nevertheless for Tyre and Sidon, it shall be easier at the Judgement, than for you.)

¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, art enhanced till to heaven; thou shalt be drenched down till into hell. (And thou, Capernaum, art exalted unto heaven? or art raised up into the sky? thou shalt be drowned down till into hell!)

¹³ Wo to thee, Corosayn; wo to thee, Bethsaida; for if in Tyre and Sidon the vertues hadden be don, whiche han be don in you, sum tyme thei wolden haue sete in heyre and asches, and haue don penaunce.

¹⁴ Netheles to Tire and Sidon it schal be esiere in the doom than to you.

¹⁵ And thou, Cafarnaum, art enhaunsid `til to heuene; thou schalt be drenchid `til in to helle.

¹³ 'Woe to thee, Chorazin; woe to thee, Bethsaida; for if in Tyre and Sidon had been done the mighty works that were done in you, long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes, they had reformed;

¹⁴ but for Tyre and Sidon it shall be more tolerable in the judgment than for you.

¹⁵ 'And thou, Capernaum, which unto the heaven wast exalted, unto hades thou shalt be brought down.
