³⁶ And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he entered into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to meat.

³⁷ And behold, a woman who was in the city, a sinner; and when she knew that he was sitting at meat in the Pharisee’s house, she brought an alabaster cruse of ointment,

³⁸ and standing behind at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

³⁹ Now when the Pharisee that had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him, that she is a sinner.

⁴⁰ And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Teacher, say on.

⁴¹ A certain lender had two debtors: the one owed five hundred shillings, and the other fifty.

⁴² When they had not wherewith to pay, he forgave them both. Which of them therefore will love him most?

⁴³ Simon answered and said, He, I suppose, to whom he forgave the most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.

⁴² And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

⁴³ Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.

³⁶ One day one of the Pharisees named Simon invited Jesus to eat a meal with him. So Jesus went to the man's house and reclined to eat.

³⁷ There was a woman in that city who many people knew had been a prostitute EUP. She heard that Jesus was eating in the Pharisee's house. So she went there, taking a stone jar that contained perfume.

³⁸ As the people there were reclining to eat, the woman stood behind Jesus, at his feet. As she was crying because she was sorry for her sins, her tears fell on Jesus' feet. Then she wiped his feet with her hair, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the perfume.

³⁹ When the Pharisee who had invited Jesus saw that, he thought, “ Prophets know about other people's lives, so if Jesus were a prophet, he would have known who this woman is who is touching him, and what kind of a person she is. He would have known that she is a prostitute! EUP”

⁴⁰ Jesus said to him, “Simon, there is something I want to tell you (sg).” He replied, “Teacher, what is it?”

⁴¹ Jesus replied, “Two people owed some money to a man who earned money by lending it to others. One owed him five hundred silver coins, and the other owed him fifty silver coins.

⁴² Neither of them was able to pay back what he owed, so the man very kindly said that they did not have to pay back anything. So, which of those two men will love that man more?”

⁴³ Simon replied, “I think that the one who owed the most money and did not have to pay it back will love him more.” Jesus said to him, “That is correct.”

³⁷ And there was a woman in the town who was a sinner; and when she had news that he was a guest in the Pharisee's house, she took a bottle of perfume,

³⁸ And went in and took her place at the back of him, near his feet, weeping, so that his feet were washed with the drops from her eyes, and with her hair she made them dry, and kissing his feet she put the perfume on them.

³⁹ Now when the Pharisee in whose house he was saw it, he said to himself, This man, if he was a prophet, would be conscious what sort of woman this is who has put her hands on him, that she is a sinner.

⁴⁰ And Jesus, answering, said, Simon, I have something to say to you. And he said, Master, say on.

⁴¹ And he said, Two men were in debt to a certain man of business: one had a debt of five hundred pence, and the other of fifty.

⁴² When they were unable to make payment, he made the two of them free of their debts. Which of them, now, will have the greater love for him?

⁴³ Simon, in answer, said, It seems he whose debt was greater. And he said, Your decision is right.

³⁶ But one of the Pharisees begged him that he would eat with him. And entering into the house of the Pharisee he took his place at table;

³⁷ and behold, a woman in the city, who was a sinner, and knew that he was sitting at meat in the house of the Pharisee, having taken an alabaster box of myrrh,

³⁸ and standing at his feet behind him weeping, began to wash his feet with tears; and she wiped them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the myrrh.

³⁹ And the Pharisee who had invited him, seeing it, spoke with himself saying, This person if he were a prophet would have known who and what the woman is who touches him, for she is a sinner.

⁴⁰ And Jesus answering said to him, Simon, I have somewhat to say to thee. And he says, Teacher, say it.

³⁹ Now as the Pharisee who had invited Him observed this, he was saying to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him, including what sort of woman she is—because she is a sinner!”

⁴⁰ So Jesus reacted by saying to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he said, “Teacher, say on.”

⁴¹ “A certain creditor had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.

⁴² And when they had no way to repay, he freely forgave them both. Now tell me, which of them will love him more?”

⁴³ So Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one to whom he forgave more.” And He said to him, “You have judged correctly.”

³⁶ One of the Pharisees invited Jesus to come and eat with him. Jesus went to the Pharisee's house and sat down to the meal.

³⁷ A woman who was a sinner in that town found out that Jesus was eating in the Pharisee's house. She went there, carrying an alabaster jar of perfume.

³⁸ She kneeled beside Jesus and with her tears wet his feet, and dried them with her hair. She kissed his feet, and then she poured the perfume over them.

³⁹ When the Pharisee who had invited Jesus saw this he said to himself, “If this man was really a prophet he would know who this woman was who's touching him, and what kind of person she was—that she's a sinner!”

⁴⁰ Jesus spoke up and said, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” “Tell me, Teacher,” he responded.

⁴¹ “Once two people were in debt to a money-lender. One owed five hundred denarii, the other only fifty.

⁴² Neither of them could repay him, so he forgave the debts. Which one will love him the most?”

⁴³ “The one he forgave the most, I would think,” Simon answered. “You're absolutely right,” said Jesus.

³⁶ And one of the Pharises desired him that hee would eate with him: and hee went into the Pharises house, and sate downe at table.

³⁷ And beholde, a woman in the citie, which was a sinner, when she knewe that Iesus sate at table in the Pharises house, shee brought a boxe of oyntment.

³⁸ And shee stoode at his feete behinde him weeping, and began to wash his feete with teares, and did wipe them with the heares of her head, and kissed his feete, and anoynted them with the oyntment.

³⁹ Nowe when the Pharise which bade him, saw it, he spake within himselfe, saying, If this man were a Prophet, hee woulde surely haue knowen who, and what maner of woman this is which toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

⁴⁰ And Iesus answered, and saide vnto him, Simon, I haue somewhat to say vnto thee. And he said, Master, say on.

⁴¹ There was a certaine lender which had two detters: the one ought fiue hundreth pence, and the other fiftie:

⁴² When they had nothing to pay, he forgaue them both: Which of them therefore, tell mee, will loue him most?

⁴³ Simon answered, and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgaue most. And he said vnto him, Thou hast truely iudged.

³⁸ and placed herself behind Jesus, near his feet, weeping. Then she began to make his feet wet with her tears, and she dried them with the hair of her head, repeatedly kissing his feet and anointing them with the perfume.

³⁹ When the Pharisee who had invited Jesus saw this, he said to himself, “Had this man been ‘the prophet,’ he would have known who, and what sort of woman, this is who is touching him, and that she is an outcast.”

⁴⁰ But, addressing him, Jesus said, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” “Pray do so, teacher,” Simon answered; and Jesus began,

⁴¹ “There were two people who were in debt to a moneylender; one owed five hundred silver coins, and the other fifty.

⁴² As they were unable to pay, he forgave them both. Which of them, do you think, will love him the more?”

⁴³ “I suppose,” answered Simon, “it will be the man to whom he forgave the greater debt.” “You are right,” said Jesus,

³⁹ Now when the Pharisee Separated who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, “This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what kind of woman this is who touches him, that she is a sinner.”

⁴⁰ Yeshua Salvation answered him, “Simeon Hearing, I have something to tell you.” He said, “Teacher, say on.”

⁴¹ “A certain lender had two debtors. The one owed five hundred denarii (500 days wages), and the other fifty denarii (50 days wages).

⁴² When they couldn’t pay, he forgave them both. Which of them therefore will show agapao ·total devotion love· to him most?”

⁴³ Simeon Hearing answered, “He, I suppose, to whom he forgave the most.” He said to him, “You have judged correctly.”

³⁶ One of the Jewish law men asked Jesus to eat dinner with him. He belonged to the mob called Pharisees. Jesus went to his house and sat down at the table.

³⁷ There was a woman in that town that used to do bad things. She heard that Jesus was eating dinner with that man, so she got a pretty jar of special oil and went to his house. That oil had a really good smell, and it cost a lot of money.

³⁸ Then she went inside and stood behind Jesus. She was crying and her tears fell on his feet. Then she dried his feet with her hair, and she kissed them, then she poured all that special oil on to his feet.

³⁹ The Jewish law man saw her do that and he said to himself, “I knew it. This man is not one of God’s men. He is letting a bad woman touch him. I reckon he doesn’t know she did a lot of bad things, so I reckon he doesn’t have God’s power.”

⁴⁰ Jesus said to him, “Simon, I want to tell you something.” Simon said, “All right, Teacher, tell me.”

⁴¹ Then Jesus told him a picture story, he said, “There was a rich man that used to lend money to people. He lent one man $500, and he lent another man $50.

⁴² But both of those men had bad luck and lost all their money. They couldn’t pay that money back to the rich man. But the rich man was good to both of them and told them, ‘Don’t worry, I’ll let it go. You don’t have to pay me that money.’ Well, Simon, what do you reckon? Which one of those men will love that rich man the most?”

⁴³ Simon said, “I reckon it is the man that owed him the most money, and didn’t have to pay it back.” Jesus said, “You are right.”

³⁶ And one of the pharises desyred him that he wolde eate with him. And he went into the pharises housse and sate doune to meate.

³⁷ And beholde a woman in that cite which was a synner assone as she knewe that. Iesus sate at meate in the pharises housse she brought an alablaster boxe of oyntment

³⁸ and she stode at his fete behynde him wepynge and beganne to wesshe his fete with teares and dyd wipe the with the heares of her heed and kyssed his fete and anoynted them with oyntment.

³⁹ When the pharise which bade him sawe that he spake with in him sylfe sayinge: If this man were a prophete he wolde surely have knowen who and what maner woman this is which toucheth him for she is a synner.

⁴⁰ And Iesus answered and sayde vnto him: Simon I have some what to saye vnto the. And he sayd master saye on.

⁴¹ There was a certayne lender which had two detters the one ought five hondred pence and the other fyfty.

⁴² When they had nothinge to paye he forgave the boothe. Which of them tell me will love him moost?

⁴³ Simon answered and sayde: I suppose that he to whom he forgave moost. And he sayde vnto him: Thou hast truly iudged.

³⁹ When the Pharisee who had invited Jesus saw this, he thought to himself, saying, “If this man were a prophet, then he would know who and what type of woman is touching him, that she is a sinner.”

⁴⁰ Jesus responded and said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” He said, “Say it, Teacher!”

⁴¹ Jesus said, “A certain moneylender had two debtors. The one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.

⁴² When they could not pay him, he forgave them both. Therefore, which of them will love him more?”

³⁹ Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, “This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what kind of woman this is who touches him, that she is a sinner.”

⁴⁰ Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” He said, “Teacher, say on.”

⁴¹ “A certain lender had two debtors. The one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.

⁴² When they couldn’t pay, he forgave them both. Which of them therefore will love him most?”

⁴³ Simon answered, “He, I suppose, to whom he forgave the most.” He said to him, “You have judged correctly.”

³⁶ One of the Pharisees invited him to eat with him. He entered into the Pharisee’s house and sat at the table.

³⁷ Behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that he was reclining in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster jar of ointment.

³⁸ Standing behind at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and she wiped them with the hair of her head, kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

³⁸ And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

³⁹ Now when the Pharisee who had invited him, saw it , he spoke within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who, and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him, for she is a sinner.

³⁶ But one of the Pharisees prayed Jesus, that he should eat with him. And he entered into the house of the Pharisee, and sat at the meat. (But one of the Pharisees beseeched Jesus, that he would eat with him. And so he entered into the house of the Pharisee, and sat down for the meal.)

³⁷ And lo! a sinful woman, that was in the city, as she knew, that Jesus sat at the meat (or sat down for a meal) in the house of the Pharisee, she brought an alabaster box of ointment;

³⁸ and she stood behind beside his feet, and began to moist(en) his feet with (her) tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed (them) with ointment.

³⁹ And the Pharisee seeing, that had called him, said within himself, saying, If this were a prophet, he should know, who and what manner woman it were that toucheth him, or If this were a prophet, soothly he should know, who and what manner woman it is that toucheth him, for she is a sinful woman.

⁴⁰ And Jesus answered, and said to him, Simon, I have something to say to thee. And he said, Master, say thou, (or Teacher, tell me).

⁴¹ And he answered, Two debtors were to one lender; and one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty;

⁴² but when they had not whereof to yield, he forgave freely to both. Who of them then loveth him more?

⁴³ Simon answered, and said, I guess, that he to whom he forgave more. And he answered to him, Thou hast deemed rightly (or Thou hast judged correctly).

³⁶ But oon of the Farisees preiede Jhesu, that he schulde ete with hym. And he entride in to the hous of the Farise, and sat at the mete.

³⁷ And lo! a synful womman, that was in the citee, as sche knewe, that Jhesu sat at the mete in the hous of the Farisee, sche brouyte an alabaustre box of oynement;

³⁸ and sche stood bihynde bysidis hise feet, and bigan to moiste hise feet with teeris, and wipide with the heeris of hir heed, and kiste hise feet, and anoyntide with oynement.

³⁹ And the Farise seynge, that hadde clepide hym, seide within hym silf, seiynge, If this were a prophete, he schulde wite, who and what maner womman it were that touchith hym, for sche is a synful womman.

⁴⁰ And Jhesus answeride, and seide to hym, Symount, Y haue sumthing to seie to thee. And he seide, Maistir, seie thou.

⁴¹ And he answeride, Twei dettouris weren to o lener; and oon auyt fyue hundrid pans, and `the other fifti;

⁴² but whanne thei hadden not wherof `thei schulden yeelde, he foryaf to bothe. Who thanne loueth hym more?

⁴³ Symount answeride, and seide, Y gesse, that he to whom he foryaf more. And he answeride to hym, Thou hast demyd riytli.

³⁶ And a certain one of the Pharisees was asking him that he might eat with him, and having gone into the house of the Pharisee he reclined (at meat),

³⁷ and lo, a woman in the city, who was a sinner, having known that he reclineth (at meat) in the house of the Pharisee, having provided an alabaster box of ointment,

³⁸ and having stood behind, beside his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with the tears, and with the hairs of her head she was wiping, and was kissing his feet, and was anointing with the ointment.

³⁹ And the Pharisee who did call him, having seen, spake within himself, saying, 'This one, if he were a prophet, would have known who and of what kind is the woman who doth touch him, that she is a sinner.'

⁴⁰ And Jesus answering said unto him, 'Simon, I have something to say to thee;' and he saith, 'Teacher, say on.'

⁴¹ 'Two debtors were to a certain creditor; the one was owing five hundred denaries, and the other fifty;

⁴² and they not having wherewith to give back, he forgave both; which then of them, say thou, will love him more?'

⁴³ And Simon answering said, 'I suppose that to whom he forgave the more;' and he said to him, 'Rightly thou didst judge.'
