Luke 6:27-32 in English

²⁷ But I say unto you that hear, Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you,

²⁸ bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you.

²⁹ To him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and from him that taketh away thy cloak withhold not thy coat also.

³⁰ Give to every one that asketh thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

³¹ And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

³² And if ye love them that love you, what thank have ye? for even sinners love those that love them.

²⁸ Ask God to bless those who curse you! Pray for those who mistreat you!

²⁹ If someone insults one of you by striking you on one of your cheeks, turn your face so that he can strike the other cheek also. If a bandit wants to take away your (sg) coat, let him also have your shirt.

³⁰ Give something to everyone who asks you (sg) for something. If someone takes away things that belong to you (sg), do not ask him to return them.

³¹ In whatever way you (pl) want others to act toward you, that is the way that you should act toward them.

³² If you love only those who love you, do not expect God to praise you for doing that RHQ, because even sinners love those who love them.

³¹ Do to others as you would have them do to you.

³² If you have love for those who have love for you, what credit is it to you? for even sinners have love for those who have love for them.

²⁹ To him that smites thee on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him that would take away thy garment, forbid not thy body-coat also.

³⁰ To every one that asks of thee, give; and from him that takes away what is thine, ask it not back.

³¹ And as ye wish that men should do to you, do ye also to them in like manner.

³² And if ye love those that love you, what thank is it to you? for even sinners love those that love them.

²⁷ “Further, to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you;

²⁸ bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

²⁹ To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold the tunic as well.

³⁰ Give to everyone who asks of you; and from him who takes away your things, do not demand them back.

³¹ Yes, like you want people to treat you, that is just how you must treat them.

³² Also, if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even ‘sinners’ love those who love them.

²⁷ But I say to those of you who are listening: Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you.

²⁸ Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who mistreat you.

²⁹ If someone hits you on one cheek, turn the other cheek. If someone takes your coat, don't prevent them taking your shirt.

³⁰ Give to anyone who asks you. If someone takes something from you, don't ask for it back.

³¹ Do to others what you want them to do to you.

³² If you love those who love you, why should you deserve any credit for that? Even sinners love those who love them.

²⁷ But I say vnto you which heare, Loue your enemies: doe well to them which hate you.

²⁸ Blesse them that curse you, and pray for them which hurt you.

²⁹ And vnto him that smiteth thee on ye one cheeke, offer also the other: and him that taketh away thy cloke, forbid not to take thy coate also.

³⁰ Giue to euery man that asketh of thee: and of him that taketh away the things that be thine, aske them not againe.

³¹ And as ye would that men should doe to you, so doe ye to them likewise.

³² For if yee loue them which loue you, what thanke shall ye haue? for euen the sinners loue those that loue them.

²⁷ But I saye vnto you which heare: Love youre enemyes. Do good to the which hate you.

²⁸ Blesse the that course you. And praye for the which wrongfully trouble you.

²⁹ And vnto him that smyteth the on the one cheke offer also the other. And him that taketh awaye thy goune forbid not to take thy coote also.

³⁰ Geve to every man that axeth of the. And of him that taketh awaye thy goodes axe them not agayne.

³¹ And as the wolde that men shuld doo to you: so do ye to them lyke wyse.

³² If ye love the which love you: what thanke are ye worthy of? For the very synners love their lovers.

²⁷ But I say to you who are listening, love your enemies and do good to those who hate you.

²⁸ Bless those who curse you and pray for those who mistreat you.

²⁷ But I say to you that hear, love ye your enemies, do ye well to them that hated you or do ye well to them that hate you;

²⁸ bless ye men that curse you, pray ye for men that defame you or that falsely challenge you.

²⁹ And to him that smiteth thee on the one cheek, show also the other or give also the tother; and from him that taketh away from thee a cloth, do not thou forbid the coat, (or and as for him who taketh away a cloak from thee, give also thy coat to him).

³⁰ And give to each that asketh thee, and if a man taketh away those things that be thine, ask thou not again (for them).

³¹ And as ye will that men do to you (or And as ye desire that men do to you), do ye also to them in like manner.

³² And if ye love them that love you, what thank(s), or what grace, is to you? for sinful men love men that love them. (And if ye love those who love you, what credit is that to you? for sinners love those who love them.)

²⁷ But Y seie to you that heren, loue ye youre enemyes, do ye wel to hem that hatiden you;

²⁸ blesse ye men that cursen you, preye ye for men that defamen you.

²⁹ And to him that smytith thee on o cheeke, schewe also the tothir; and fro hym that takith awei fro thee a cloth, nyle thou forbede the coote.

³⁰ And yyue to eche that axith thee, and if a man takith awei tho thingis that ben thine, axe thou not ayen.

³¹ And as ye wolen that men do to you, do ye also to hem in lijk maner.

³² And if ye louen hem that louen you, what thanke is to you? for synful men louen men that louen hem.

²⁷ 'But I say to you who are hearing, Love your enemies, do good to those hating you,

²⁸ bless those cursing you, and pray for those accusing you falsely;

²⁹ and to him smiting thee upon the cheek, give also the other, and from him taking away from thee the mantle, also the coat thou mayest not keep back.

³⁰ 'And to every one who is asking of thee, be giving; and from him who is taking away thy goods, be not asking again;

³¹ and as ye wish that men may do to you, do ye also to them in like manner;

³² and — if ye love those loving you, what grace have ye? for also the sinful love those loving them;
