Luke 4:1-3 in English

¹ And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led in the Spirit in the wilderness

² during forty days, being tempted of the devil. And he did eat nothing in those days: and when they were completed, he hungered.

³ And the devil said unto him, If thou art the Son of God, command this stone that it become bread.

¹ And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

² Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

³ And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

¹ As Jesus left the Jordan River valley, the Holy Spirit was completely controlling him.

² For forty days the Spirit led him around in the desolate area. During that time Jesus was being tempted by the devil {the devil was tempting him}, and Jesus did not eat anything. When that time ended, he was very hungry.

³ Then the devil said to Jesus, “Because you claim that you ◄ have a relationship with God as a son has with his father MET/are the man who is both God and man►, prove it by telling these stones to become bread so that you can eat them!”

² For forty days, being tested by the Evil One. And he had no food in those days; and when they came to an end, he was in need of food.

³ And the Evil One said to him, If you are the Son of God, give orders to this stone to become bread.

² forty days, tempted of the devil; and in those days he did not eat anything, and when they were finished he hungered.

³ And the devil said to him, If thou be Son of God, speak to this stone, that it become bread.

² For the space of forty days; and was tempted by the devil. And he ate nothing in those days; and when they were ended, he was hungry.

³ And the devil said to him: If thou be the Son of God, say to this stone that it be made bread.

³ And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, speak to this stone that it may become bread.”

² where He was tested for forty days by the devil. He ate nothing at all during those days, so after they were completed He was hungry.

³ So the devil said to Him, “Since you are Son of God, tell this stone to become bread!”

¹ Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River and was led by the Spirit into the desert,

² where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. He didn't eat anything during that whole time, so at the end he was starving.

³ The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”

¹ And Iesus full of the holy Ghost returned from Iordan, and was led by that Spirit into the wildernes,

² And was there fourtie dayes tempted of the deuil, and in those dayes he did eate nothing: but when they were ended, he afterward was hungry.

³ Then the deuil saide vnto him, If thou be the Sonne of God, commaund this stone that it be made bread.

¹ On returning from the Jordan, full of the Holy Spirit, Jesus was led by the power of the Spirit through the wilderness for forty days, tempted by the devil.

² All that time he ate nothing; and, when it was over, he became hungry.

³ So the devil said to him, “If you are God's Son, tell this stone to become a loaf of bread.”

¹ On returning from the Jordan, full of the Holy Spirit, Jesus was led by the power of the Spirit through the wilderness for forty days, tempted by the devil.

² All that time he ate nothing; and, when it was over, he became hungry.

³ So the devil said to him, “If you are God's Son, tell this stone to become a loaf of bread.”

¹ Yeshua Salvation, full of Ruach haKodesh Spirit of the Holiness, teshuvah ·completely returned· from the Jordan Descender, and was led by haRuach the Spirit into the wilderness

² and was .xl. dayes tempted of the devyll. And in thoose dayes ate he no thinge. And when they were ended he afterward hongred.

³ And the devyll sayde vnto him: yf thou be the sonne of God commaunde this stone that it be breed.

² and was temptid of the deuel, and eet nothing in tho daies; and whanne tho daies weren endid, he hungride.

³ And the deuel seide to him, If thou art Goddis sone, seie to this stoon, that it be maad breed.

¹ And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, turned back from the Jordan, and was brought in the Spirit to the wilderness,

² forty days being tempted by the Devil, and he did not eat anything in those days, and they having been ended, he afterward hungered,

³ and the Devil said to him, 'If Son thou art of God, speak to this stone that it may become bread.'
