Luke 22:38-41 in English

³⁸ And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

³⁹ And he came out, and went, as his custom was, unto the mount of Olives; and the disciples also followed him.

⁴⁰ And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

⁴¹ And he was parted from them about a stone’s cast; and he kneeled down and prayed,

³⁸ And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

³⁹ And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.

⁴⁰ And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

⁴¹ And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,

³⁸ One of the disciples said, “Lord, look! We (exc) have two swords!” Realizing that they did not understand the meaning of what he said, he replied to them, “That is enough talk about swords”!

³⁹ As Jesus left the city, he went, as he usually did, to Olive Tree Hill. His disciples went with him.

⁴⁰ When he came to the place where he often spent the night, he said to them, “Pray that God will help you whenever something tempts you.”

⁴¹ Then he went from them a distance of about thirty meters/yards. (OR, as far as someone can throw a stone.) He knelt and prayed,

³⁸ They said, “Lord, behold, here are two swords.” He said to them, “That is enough.”

³⁹ He came out and went, as his custom was, to the Mount of Olives. His disciples also followed him.

⁴⁰ When he was at the place, he said to them, “Pray that you don’t enter into temptation.”

⁴¹ He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and he knelt down and prayed,

⁴¹ And he went a little distance away from them and, falling on his knees in prayer, he said,

³⁹ And going forth he went according to his custom to the mount of Olives, and the disciples also followed him.

⁴⁰ And when he was at the place he said to them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

⁴¹ And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and having knelt down he prayed,

³⁸ But they said: Lord, behold here are two swords. And he said to them, It is enough.

³⁹ And going out, he went, according to his custom, to the mount of Olives. And his disciples also followed him.

⁴⁰ And when he was come to the place, he said to them: Pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

⁴⁰ When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray, so as not to enter into temptation.”

⁴¹ Then He withdrew from them about a stone's throw, knelt down and prayed,

³⁸ “Look, Lord, here are two swords,” they said. “That's enough,” he replied.

³⁹ Jesus left and as usual went to the Mount of Olives together with his disciples.

⁴⁰ When he arrived he said to them, “Pray that you don't give in to temptation.”

⁴¹ Then he left them and walked about a stone's throw away, where he kneeled down and prayed.

³⁸ And they said, Lord, beholde, here are two swordes. And he said vnto them, It is ynough.

³⁹ And he came out, and went (as he was wont) to the mount of Oliues: and his disciples also followed him.

⁴⁰ And when hee came to the place, hee said to them, Pray, lest ye enter into tentation.

⁴¹ And he was drawen aside from them about a stones cast, and kneeled downe, and prayed,

³⁸ And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

³⁸ “Master,” they exclaimed, “look, here are two swords!” “Enough!” said Jesus.

³⁹ Jesus then went out, and made his way as usual to the Mount of Olives, followed by his disciples.

⁴⁰ And, when he reached the spot, he said to them, “Pray that you may not fall into temptation.”

⁴¹ Then he withdrew about a stone's throw, and knelt down and began to pray.

³⁸ And they sayde: Lorde beholde here are two sweardes. And he sayde vnto them: it is ynough.

³⁹ And he came out and went as he was wote to mounte olivete. And the disciples folowed him.

⁴⁰ And when he came to the place he sayde to the: praye lest ye fall into temptacion.

⁴¹ And he gate him selfe from them about a stones cast and kneled doune and prayed

³⁸ Then they said, “Lord, look! Here are two swords.” He said to them, “It is enough.”

³⁹ Jesus went, as he often did, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him.

⁴⁰ When they arrived, he said to them, “Pray that you do not enter into temptation.”

⁴¹ He went away from them about a stone's throw, and he knelt down and prayed,

⁴⁰ And when he came to the place, he said to them, Pray ye, lest ye enter into temptation.

⁴¹ And he was taken away from them, as much as is a stone’s cast; and he kneeled, and prayed,

³⁸ And they said, Lord, lo! two swords here. And he said to them, It is enough.

³⁹ And he went out, and went after the custom into the hill of Olives or the hill of Olivet; and the disciples (pur)sued him. (And he went out, and as was his custom, went over to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him.)

⁴⁰ And when he came to the place, he said to them, Pray ye, lest ye enter into temptation, (or Pray ye, lest ye enter into, or be put to, the test).

⁴¹ And he was taken away from them, as much as is a stone’s cast (or as much as a stone’s throw); and he kneeled, and prayed,

³⁸ And thei seiden, Lord, lo! twei swerdis here. And he seide to hem, It is ynowy.

³⁹ And he yede out, and wente aftir the custom in to the hille of Olyues; and the disciplis sueden hym.

⁴⁰ And whanne he cam to the place, he seide to hem, Preye ye, lest ye entren in to temptacioun.

⁴¹ And he was taken awei fro hem, so myche as is a stonys cast; and he knelide,

³⁸ And they said, 'Sir, lo, here are two swords;' and he said to them, 'It is sufficient.'

³⁹ And having gone forth, he went on, according to custom, to the mount of the Olives, and his disciples also followed him,

⁴⁰ and having come to the place, he said to them, 'Pray ye not to enter into temptation.'

⁴¹ And he was withdrawn from them, as it were a stone's cast, and having fallen on the knees he was praying,
