Luke 18:3-9 in American Standard Version (1901)

3 and there was a widow in that city; and she came oft unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest she wear me out by her continual coming.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unrighteous judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge his elect, that cry to him day and night, and yet he is longsuffering over them?
8 I say unto you, that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
9 And he spake also this parable unto certain who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and set all others at nought:

Luke 18:3-9 in Translation for Translators

3 There was a widow in that city who kept coming to him, saying, ‘Please decide what is just in the dispute between me and the man who is opposing me in court!’
4 For a long time the judge refused to help her. But later he thought to himself, ‘I do not revere God and I do not care about people,
5 but this widow keeps bothering me! So I will make sure that she is treated justly. If I do not do that, she will exhaust me by continually coming to me!’”
6 Then the Lord Jesus said, “ Even though the judge was not a righteous man, think carefully about what he said!
7 Similarly, ◄God will certainly show that what you have done has been right!/will God not show that what you have done has been right?► RHQ He will do this for you whom he has chosen. He will do this for you who pray earnestly to him night and day, asking him to help you. He may delay helping you.
8 But I tell you, some day he will show that what you did was right, and he will do it quickly. But when I, the one who came from heaven, return to earth, ◄there may not be many people who will still be trusting that I will vindicate them (OR, who will still be trusting in me)./will there be many people who will still be trusting that I will vindicate them (OR, who will still be trusting in me)?► RHQ”
9 Jesus also told a parable to warn people who mistakenly thought that they were doing things that made them acceptable to God. Besides, they also despised other people.

Luke 18:3-9 in Bible in Basic English

3 And there was a widow in that town, and she kept on coming to him and saying, Give me my right against the man who has done me wrong.
4 And for a time he would not: but later, he said to himself, Though I have no fear of God or respect for man,
5 Because this widow is a trouble to me, I will give her her right; for if not, I will be completely tired out by her frequent coming.
6 And the Lord said, Give ear to the words of the evil judge.
7 And will not God do right in the cause of his saints, whose cries come day and night to his ears, though he is long in doing it?
8 I say to you that he will quickly do right in their cause. But when the Son of man comes, will there be any faith on earth?
9 And he made this story for some people who were certain that they were good, and had a low opinion of others:

4 And he would not for a time; but afterwards he said within himself, If even I fear not God and respect not man,

6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says.

6 Listen to what even an unjust judge decided,” said the Lord.
7 “Don't you think that God will make sure his chosen people receive justice, those who cry out to him day and night? Do you think he will make them wait?

Luke 18:3-9 in Plain English Version

3 A woman lived in that city that had nobody to look after her. Her husband was dead. But a bad man was cheating her. So she came to the judge and said, ‘Your honour, that man is cheating me. Please give me a fair go. Give me a court order to stop him.’
4 The judge didn’t answer her. He took no notice of her, and he wouldn’t listen to her. But she kept on asking him, and for a while he kept on taking no notice of her. But after a while he said to himself, ‘This woman is driving me mad. Even though I don’t respect God, and I couldn’t care less about people, I will make sure she gets a fair go. I will give her what she wants. If I don’t do that she will keep on asking me, and I’m getting sick of it.’”
6 Then Jesus said, “That judge was a bad man, but notice what he said to himself. That woman kept on asking him, and in the end, he did the right thing.
7 Well, God is a lot better than that judge, and God picked you to be his family. So what do you think he will do if you keep calling out to him all the time? Will he wait a while before he does anything?
8 No. I’m telling you this for sure. God will listen to you, and he will get up quick and he will make sure you get a fair go.” Then Jesus said, “But when I, God’s special man, come back again from heaven to this earth, will I find people trusting me, or not?”
9 Some people there thought that they were really good, and they rubbished everyone else. They reckoned, “We are so good that God will always say we are all right.” So Jesus told them this picture story. He said,
