⁷ But who is there of you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say unto him, when he is come in from the field, Come straightway and sit down to meat;

⁸ and will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

⁹ Doth he thank the servant because he did the things that were commanded?

¹⁰ Even so ye also, when ye shall have done all the things that are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which it was our duty to do.

¹¹ And it came to pass, as they were on the way to Jerusalem, that he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee.

¹² And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, who stood afar off:

¹³ and they lifted up their voices, saying, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

¹⁴ And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go and show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, as they went, they were cleansed.

¹⁵ And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, with a loud voice glorifying God;

¹⁶ and he fell upon his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ And Jesus answering said, Were not the ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

⁷ Jesus also said, “Suppose that one of you had a servant who was plowing your fields or taking care of your sheep. After he comes into the house from the field, you (sg) would not say RHQ, ‘Sit down and eat immediately!’

⁸ Instead, you would say to him, ‘Put on your apron and prepare a meal for me! Then serve it to me so that I can eat and drink! Afterwards you (sg) can eat and drink.’

⁹ ◄You will not thank your servant for doing the work that he had been told {you had told him} to do!/Would you thank your servant because he did the work that he had been told {you had told him} to do?► RHQ

¹⁰ Similarly, when you (pl) have done everything that God has told you to do, you should say, ‘We (inc) are not worthy of God thanking us { being thanked}. We are only God's servants. We have only done the things that he told us to do.’”

¹¹ As Jesus and his disciples were walking along the road to Jerusalem, they were going through the region between Samaria and Galilee districts.

¹² As they entered one village, ten lepers came near the road. Because lepers were not permitted to come near other people, they stood at some distance

¹³ and called out, “Jesus, Master, pity us and heal us!”

¹⁴ When he saw them, he said to them, “Each of you should go and show yourself to a priest in Jerusalem so that he can see if you are healed.” As they were going there, they were healed.

¹⁵ Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God loudly.

¹⁶ He came to Jesus, prostrated himself at Jesus' feet, and thanked him. This man was a Samaritan, not a Jew.

¹⁷ Then Jesus said, “ I healed ten lepers ◄I am disappointed that the other nine did not come back!/Where are the other nine?► RHQ

⁸ Wouldn’t he rather tell him, ‘Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink’?

¹⁰ Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.’”

⁹ Does he give praise to the servant because he did what was ordered?

¹⁰ In the same way, when you have done all the things which are given you to do, say, There is no profit in us, for we have only done what we were ordered to do.

¹¹ And it came about that when they were on the way to Jerusalem he went through Samaria and Galilee.

¹² And when he went into a certain small town he came across ten men who were lepers, and they, keeping themselves at a distance,

¹³ Said, in loud voices, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

¹⁴ And when he saw them he said, Go, and let the priests see you. And, while they were going, they were made clean.

¹⁵ And one of them, when he saw that he was clean, turning back, gave praise to God in a loud voice;

¹⁶ And, falling down on his face at the feet of Jesus, he gave the credit to him; and he was a man of Samaria.

¹⁷ And Jesus said, Were there not ten men who were made clean? where are the nine?

⁷ But which of you is there who, having a bondman ploughing or shepherding, when he comes in out of the field, will say, Come and lie down immediately to table?

⁸ But will he not say to him, Prepare what I shall sup on, and gird thyself and serve me that I may eat and drink; and after that thou shalt eat and drink?

⁹ Is he thankful to the bondman because he has done what was ordered? I judge not.

¹⁰ Thus ye also, when ye shall have done all things that have been ordered you, say, We are unprofitable bondmen; we have done what it was our duty to do.

¹¹ And it came to pass as he was going up to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

¹² And as he entered into a certain village ten leprous men met him, who stood afar off.

¹³ And they lifted up their voice saying, Jesus, Master, have compassion on us.

¹⁴ And seeing them he said to them, Go, shew yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass as they were going they were cleansed.

¹⁵ And one of them, seeing that he was cured, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice,

¹⁶ and fell on his face at his feet giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ And Jesus answering said, Were not the ten cleansed? but the nine, where are they?

⁸ But will he not say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, and gird yourself and serve me until I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’?

⁹ Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.

¹⁰ So likewise you, whenever you do all the things having been commanded to you, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done what we ought to do.’ ”

¹¹ And it happened while He was traveling to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

¹² Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood at a distance.

¹³ And they lifted their voice and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

¹⁴ And seeing them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went away, they were cleansed.

¹⁵ And one of them, seeing that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice,

¹⁶ and fell down on his face at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

⁷ “And which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he comes in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline to eat’?

⁸ Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, and gird yourself and serve me until I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’?

⁹ Does he thank that slave because he did the things commanded? I guess not!

¹⁰ So likewise you, whenever you have done everything you were told to do, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves, because we have only done what we were supposed to.’ ”

¹¹ Now as He was traveling toward Jerusalem, He went along between Samaria and Galilee.

¹² And as He entered a certain village, ten men met Him—being lepers they stood at a distance.

¹³ They called out, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”

¹⁴ And paying attention He said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” It happened that as they went they were cleansed!

¹⁵ Well one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, glorifying God with a loud voice;

¹⁶ then he fell on his face at His feet, thanking Him—and he was a Samaritan!

¹⁷ So Jesus reacted by saying: “Were not all ten cleansed? So where are the nine?

⁷ Say you have a servant who does plowing or shepherding. When he comes in from work, do you say to him, ‘Come in and sit down now for a meal’?

⁸ No. You say to him, ‘Prepare a meal for me, get yourself dressed, and serve me until I've finished my meal. After that you can have your meal.’

⁹ And do you thank the servant for doing what you told him? No.

¹⁰ Likewise once you've done everything you were told, you should simply say, ‘We are undeserving servants. We just did our duty.’”

¹¹ As Jesus continued on his way to Jerusalem, he passed along the border between Samaria and Galilee.

¹² As he entered a particular village, ten lepers met him, standing at a distance.

¹³ They called out, “Jesus, Master, please have mercy on us.”

¹⁴ When Jesus saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” On their way there, they were healed.

¹⁵ One of them when he saw that he was healed, returned to Jesus, shouting praises to God.

¹⁶ He fell down at Jesus' feet, thanking him. He was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ “Weren't ten lepers healed?” Jesus asked. “Where are the other nine?

⁷ Who is it also of you, that hauing a seruant plowing or feeding cattell, woulde say vnto him by and by, when hee were come from the fielde, Goe, and sit downe at table?

⁸ And woulde not rather say to him, Dresse wherewith I may suppe, and girde thy selfe, and serue mee, till I haue eaten and drunken, and afterward eate thou, and drinke thou?

⁹ Doeth he thanke that seruant, because hee did that which was commanded vnto him? I trowe not.

¹⁰ So likewise yee, when yee haue done all those things, which are commanded you, say, We are vnprofitable seruants: wee haue done that which was our duetie to doe.

¹¹ And so it was when he went to Hierusalem, that he passed through the middes of Samaria, and Galile.

¹² And as hee entred into a certaine towne, there met him tenne men that were lepers, which stoode a farre off.

¹³ And they lift vp their voyces and saide, Iesus, Master, haue mercie on vs.

¹⁴ And when he saw them, he said vnto them, Goe, shewe your selues vnto the Priestes. And it came to passe, that as they went, they were clensed.

¹⁵ Then one of them, when hee sawe that hee, was healed, turned backe, and with a loude voyce praised God,

¹⁶ And fell downe on his face at his feete, and gaue him thankes: and he was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ And Iesus answered, and said, Are there not tenne clensed? but where are the nine?

⁷ But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?

¹² And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten lepers, who stood afar off.

¹³ And they lifted up their voice, saying, Jesus, Master, have pity on us.

¹⁴ And when he saw them, he said to them, Go, show yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they were on their way, they were cleansed.

¹⁵ And one of them, perceiving that he was freed from his disease, turned back, giving glory to God with a loud voice;

¹⁶ and he fell down on his face at his feet, giving thanks to him; and he was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ And Jesus answering said, Were not the ten cleansed? Where are the nine?

⁷ Which of you, if he had a servant ploughing, or tending the sheep, would say to him, when he came in from the fields, ‘Come at once and take your place at the table,’

⁸ Instead of saying ‘Prepare my dinner, and then make yourself ready and serve me while I am eating and drinking, and after that you will eat and drink yourself’?

⁹ Does he feel grateful to his servant for doing what he is told?

¹⁰ And so with you — when you have done all that you have been told, still say ‘We are but useless servants; we have done no more than we ought to have done.’”

¹¹ On the way to Jerusalem Jesus passed between Samaria and Galilee.

¹² As he was entering a village, ten lepers met him.

¹³ Standing still, some distance off, they called out loudly, “Jesus! Sir! Pity us!”

¹⁴ When Jesus saw them, he said, “Go and show yourselves to the priest.” And, as they were on their way, they were made clean.

¹⁵ One of them, finding he was cured, came back, praising God loudly,

¹⁶ and threw himself on his face at Jesus' feet, thanking him for what he had done; and this man was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ “Were not all the ten made clean? exclaimed Jesus. But the nine — where are they?

⁷ Which of you, if he had a servant ploughing, or tending the sheep, would say to him, when he came in from the fields, ‘Come at once and take your place at the table,’

⁸ Instead of saying ‘Prepare my dinner, and then make yourself ready and serve me while I am eating and drinking, and after that you will eat and drink yourself’?

⁹ Does he feel grateful to his servant for doing what he is told?

¹⁰ And so with you — when you have done all that you have been told, still say ‘We are but useless servants; we have done no more than we ought to have done.’”

¹¹ On the way to Jerusalem Jesus passed between Samaria and Galilee.

¹⁴ When Jesus saw them, he said, “Go and show yourselves to the priest.” And, as they were on their way, they were made clean.

¹⁵ One of them, finding he was cured, came back, praising God loudly,

¹⁶ and threw himself on his face at Jesus' feet, thanking him for what he had done; and this man was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ “Were not all the ten made clean? exclaimed Jesus. But the nine — where are they?

¹¹ As he was on his way to Jerusalem City of peace, he was passing along the borders of Samaria Watch-mountain and Galilee District, Circuit.

¹² As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were afflicted with tzara'at ·leprosy· met him, who stood at a distance.

¹³ They lifted up their voices, saying, “Yeshua Salvation, Master, have mercy on us!”

¹⁴ When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were cleansed.

¹⁵ One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.

¹⁶ He fell on his face at Yeshua Salvation's feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan person from Watch-mountain.

¹⁷ Yeshua Salvation answered, “Were not the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

⁷ And Jesus said to his followers, “You know about bosses and their workers. Maybe a worker is digging the ground to plant seeds, or maybe he is looking after sheep. When the sun starts to go down the worker comes back to the house of his boss. That boss doesn’t say, ‘Sit down with me and we will have dinner together.’

⁸ No. The boss says, ‘Get my dinner ready for me. Then put on clean clothes and bring me my dinner. After I finish eating you can get yourself a feed.’

⁹ That boss never says thank you to his worker. You see, his worker just did what the boss told him to do. He didn’t do anything more.

¹⁰ Well, it is the same with you. You are my workers. When you do what I tell you to do, just say to yourselves, ‘We are not special people. We are workers that only did what our boss told us to do.’”

¹¹ After that Jesus kept going along the road to the city called Jerusalem, going from Galilee country into Samaria country.

¹² He came to a community, and he started to go into it, but 10 men met him there. They all had a bad skin sickness, so they didn’t come close to Jesus, but they stood a little way from him and shouted to him.

¹³ They said, “Jesus, Sir, please be sorry for us.”

¹⁴ Jesus looked at them and said, “All right. Go to the leaders of our Jewish ceremonies and let them look at you skin.” So they started to go to those ceremony leaders, and while they were walking along they got better. Their skin was good again.

¹⁵ One of them looked at his skin and saw that it was good again, so he turned around and came back to Jesus. He shouted, “God is really good and really great.”

¹⁶ And he got down on his knees in front of Jesus, to show him respect, and said, “Thank you, Sir.” This man was not a Jew, like Jesus and his followers, but he came from the Samaria tribe.

¹⁷ Jesus asked the man, “I made 10 men better, didn’t I? Where are the other 9 men?”

⁷ Who is it of you yf he had a servaute plowinge or fedinge catell that wolde saye vnto him when he were come from the felde Goo quickly and syt doune to meate:

⁸ and wolde not rather saye to him dresse wherwith I maye sup and gyrde vp thy selfe and serve me tyll I have eaten and dronken: and afterwarde eate thou and drinke thou?

⁹ Doeth he thanke that servaunt because he dyd that which was commaunded vnto him? I trowe not.

¹⁰ Soo lyke wyse ye when ye have done all thoose thinges which are commaunded you: saye we are vnprofitable servautes. We have done: ye which was oure duetye to do.

¹¹ And it chaunsed as he went to Ierusalem that he passed thorow Samaria and Galile.

¹² And as he entred into a certayne toune ther met him ten men that were lepers. Which stode a farre of

¹³ and put forth their voyces and sayde: Iesu master have mercy on vs.

¹⁴ When he sawe the he sayde vnto them: Goo and shewe youre selves to the prestes. And it chaunsed as they went they were clensed.

¹⁵ And one of them when he sawe that he was clensed turned backe agayne and with a loude voyce praysed God

¹⁶ and fell doune on his face at his fete and gave him thankes. And the same was a Samaritane.

¹⁷ And Iesus answered and sayde: are ther not ten clensed? But where are those nyne?

⁷ But which of you, who has a servant plowing or keeping sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come immediately and sit down to eat'?

⁸ Will he not say to him, 'Prepare something for me to eat, and put a belt around your clothes and serve me until I have finished eating and drinking. Then afterward you will eat and drink'?

⁹ He does not thank the servant because he did the things that were commanded, does he?

¹⁰ Even so you also, when you have done everything that you are commanded, should say, 'We are unworthy servants. We have only done what we ought to do.'”

¹¹ It came about that as he traveled to Jerusalem, he went along the border between Samaria and Galilee.

¹² As he entered into a certain village, there he was met by ten men who were lepers. They stood far away from him

¹³ and they lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.”

¹⁴ When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went away they were cleansed.

¹⁵ When one of them saw that he was healed, he turned back, with a loud voice glorifying God.

¹⁶ He fell down at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks. He was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ Then Jesus said, “Were not the ten cleansed? Where are the nine?

⁹ whether he hath grace to that servant, for he did that that he commanded him? Nay, I guess.

¹⁴ And as he saw them, he said, Go, show ye you to the priests. And it was done, while they went, they were cleansed.

¹⁵ And one of them, as he saw that he was cleansed, went again, magni-fying God with a great voice.

¹⁶ And he fell down on the face before his feet, and did thankings or doing graces; and this was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ And Jesus answered, and said, Whether ten be not cleansed, and where be the nine?

⁷ But who of you hath a servant earing, or pasturing oxen, which saith to him, when he turneth again from the field, Anon go, and sit to the meat; (But who of you hath a servant plowing, or pasturing oxen, who saith to him, when he returneth from the field, At once go, and sit down for your meal;)

¹⁵ And one of them, as he saw that he was cleansed, went again, magnifying God with a great voice. (And one of them, as soon as he saw that he was healed, returned to him, praising God with a loud voice.)

¹⁶ And he fell down on the face before his feet, and did thankings, or doing graces, (or and giving thanks); and this was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ And Jesus answered, and said, Whether ten be not cleansed (or Were ten not healed), and where be the (other) nine?

⁷ But who of you hath a seruaunt erynge, or lesewynge oxis, which seith to hym, whanne he turneth ayen fro the feeld, Anoon go, and sitte to mete;

⁸ and seith not to hym, Make redi, that Y soupe, and girde thee, and serue me, while Y ete and drynke, and aftir this thou schalt ete and drynke;

⁹ whether he hath grace to that seruaunt, for he dide that that he comaundide hym?

¹⁰ Nay, Y gesse. So ye, whanne ye han don alle thingis that ben comaundid to you, seie ye, We ben vnprofitable seruauntis, we han do that that we ouyten to do.

¹¹ And it was do, the while Jhesus wente in to Jerusalem, he passide thorou the myddis of Samarie, and Galilee.

¹² And whanne he entride in to a castel, ten leprouse men camen ayens hym, whiche stoden afer,

¹³ and reiseden her voys, and seiden, Jhesu, comaundoure, haue merci on vs.

¹⁴ And as he say hem, he seide, Go ye, `schewe ye you to the prestis. And it was don, the while thei wenten, thei weren clensid.

¹⁵ And oon of hem, as he saiy that he was clensid, wente ayen, magnifiynge God with grete vois.

¹⁶ And he fel doun on the face bifore hise feet, and dide thankyngis; and this was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ And Jhesus answerde, and seide, Whether ten ben not clensid, and where ben the nyne?

⁷ 'But, who is he of you — having a servant ploughing or feeding — who, to him having come in out of the field, will say, Having come near, recline at meat?

⁸ but will not rather say to him, Prepare what I may sup, and having girded thyself about, minister to me, till I eat and drink, and after these things thou shalt eat and drink?

⁹ Hath he favour to that servant because he did the things directed? I think not.

¹⁰ 'So also ye, when ye may have done all the things directed you, say — We are unprofitable servants, because that which we owed to do — we have done.'

¹¹ And it came to pass, in his going on to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee,

¹² and he entering into a certain village, there met him ten leprous men, who stood afar off,

¹³ and they lifted up the voice, saying, 'Jesus, master, deal kindly with us;'

¹⁴ and having seen them, he said to them, 'Having gone on, shew yourselves to the priests;' and it came to pass, in their going, they were cleansed,

¹⁵ and one of them having seen that he was healed did turn back, with a loud voice glorifying God,

¹⁶ and he fell upon his face at his feet, giving thanks to him, and he was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ And Jesus answering said, 'Were not the ten cleansed, and the nine — where?
