Luke 17:12-30 in English

¹² And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, who stood afar off:

¹³ and they lifted up their voices, saying, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

¹⁴ And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go and show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, as they went, they were cleansed.

¹⁵ And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, with a loud voice glorifying God;

¹⁶ and he fell upon his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ And Jesus answering said, Were not the ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

¹⁸ Were there none found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger?

¹⁹ And he said unto him, Arise, and go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

²⁰ And being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God cometh, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

²¹ neither shall they say, Lo, here! or, There! for lo, the kingdom of God is within you.

²² And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.

²³ And they shall say to you, Lo, there! Lo, here! go not away, nor follow after them:

²⁴ for as the lightning, when it lighteneth out of the one part under the heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall the Son of man be in his day.

²⁵ But first must he suffer many things and be rejected of this generation.

²⁶ And as it came to pass in the days of Noah, even so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

²⁷ They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

²⁸ Likewise even as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

²⁹ but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all:

³⁰ after the same manner shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed.

¹² As they entered one village, ten lepers came near the road. Because lepers were not permitted to come near other people, they stood at some distance

¹³ and called out, “Jesus, Master, pity us and heal us!”

¹⁴ When he saw them, he said to them, “Each of you should go and show yourself to a priest in Jerusalem so that he can see if you are healed.” As they were going there, they were healed.

¹⁵ Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God loudly.

¹⁶ He came to Jesus, prostrated himself at Jesus' feet, and thanked him. This man was a Samaritan, not a Jew.

¹⁷ Then Jesus said, “ I healed ten lepers ◄I am disappointed that the other nine did not come back!/Where are the other nine?► RHQ

¹⁸ I am disappointed RHQ that this non-Jewish man was the only one who returned to thank God; none of the others came back to me!”

¹⁹ Then he said to the man, “Get up and continue on your journey. God PRS has saved you and healed you (sg) because you trusted in me.”

²⁰ One day Jesus was asked by some Pharisees SYN { some Pharisees SYN asked Jesus}, “When is God going to rule as king?” He replied, “God's ruling MET is not something people will be able to see with their eyes.

²¹ And people will not be able to say, ‘Look! He is ruling here!’ Or ‘He is ruling over there!’ because, contrary to what you think, God's ruling is people's inner beings (OR, is already happening among you).”

²² Jesus said to his disciples, “There will be a time when you will want to see me MTY, the one who came from heaven, ruling powerfully. But you will not see that.

²³ Some people will say to you, ‘Look, the Messiah is over there!’ or they will say ‘Look, he is here!’ When they say that, do not believe them. Do not follow them to go see the Messiah.

²⁴ Because when the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, everyone can see it. Similarly SIM, at the time MTY when I, the one who came from heaven, come back again, everyone will see me.

²⁵ But before that happens, I must suffer in many ways (OR, very much). And I will be rejected by people {people will reject me}, even though they have observed me doing good for people.

²⁶ But when I, the one who came from heaven, come again, people will be doing things just like people were doing at the time when MTY Noah lived.

²⁷ At that time people ate and drank as usual, and they got married as usual, up until the day when Noah and his family entered the big boat. But then the flood came and destroyed all those who were not in the boat.

²⁸ Similarly, when Lot lived in Sodom city, people there ate and drank as usual. They bought things and they sold things. They planted crops and they built houses as usual.

²⁹ But on the day that Lot and his family left Sodom, fire and burning sulfur came down from the sky and destroyed all those who stayed in the city.

³⁰ Similarly, when I, the one who came from heaven, return to earth, people will be unprepared (OR, enjoying normal life).

¹² And when he went into a certain small town he came across ten men who were lepers, and they, keeping themselves at a distance,

¹³ Said, in loud voices, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

¹⁴ And when he saw them he said, Go, and let the priests see you. And, while they were going, they were made clean.

¹⁵ And one of them, when he saw that he was clean, turning back, gave praise to God in a loud voice;

¹⁶ And, falling down on his face at the feet of Jesus, he gave the credit to him; and he was a man of Samaria.

¹⁷ And Jesus said, Were there not ten men who were made clean? where are the nine?

¹⁸ Have not any of them come back to give glory to God, but only this one from a strange land?

¹⁹ And he said to him, Get up, and go on your way; your faith has made you well.

²⁰ And when the Pharisees put questions to him about when the kingdom of God would come, he gave them an answer and said, The kingdom of God will not come through observation:

²¹ And men will not say, See, it is here! or, There! for the kingdom of God is among you.

²² And he said to his disciples, The time will come when you will have a great desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, but you will not see it.

²³ And if they say to you, See, it is there! or, It is here! do not go away, or go after them.

²⁴ For as in a thunderstorm the bright light is seen from one end of the sky to the other, so will the Son of man be when his time comes.

²⁵ But first, he will have to undergo much and be put on one side by this generation.

²⁶ And as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the day of the Son of man.

²⁷ They were feasting and taking wives and getting married, till the day of the overflowing of the waters, when Noah went into the ark, and they all came to destruction.

²⁸ In the same way, in the days of Lot; they were feasting and trading, they were planting and building;

²⁹ But on the day when Lot went out of Sodom, fire came down from heaven and destruction came on them all.

³⁰ So will it be in the day of the revelation of the Son of man.

¹² And as he entered into a certain village ten leprous men met him, who stood afar off.

¹³ And they lifted up their voice saying, Jesus, Master, have compassion on us.

¹⁴ And seeing them he said to them, Go, shew yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass as they were going they were cleansed.

¹⁵ And one of them, seeing that he was cured, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice,

¹⁶ and fell on his face at his feet giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ And Jesus answering said, Were not the ten cleansed? but the nine, where are they?

¹⁸ There have not been found to return and give glory to God save this stranger.

¹⁹ And he said to him, Rise up and go thy way: thy faith has made thee well.

²⁰ And having been asked by the Pharisees, When is the kingdom of God coming? he answered them and said, The kingdom of God does not come with observation;

²¹ nor shall they say, Lo here, or, Lo there; for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.

²² And he said to the disciples, Days are coming, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and shall not see it.

²³ And they will say to you, Lo here, or Lo there; go not, nor follow them.

²⁴ For as the lightning shines which lightens from one end under heaven to the other end under heaven, thus shall the Son of man be in his day.

¹⁴ And paying attention He said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” It happened that as they went they were cleansed!

¹⁵ Well one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, glorifying God with a loud voice;

¹⁶ then he fell on his face at His feet, thanking Him—and he was a Samaritan!

¹⁷ So Jesus reacted by saying: “Were not all ten cleansed? So where are the nine?

¹⁸ None were found to return and give glory to God except this foreigner!”

¹⁹ Then He said to him, “Get up and go; your faith has made you well.”

²⁰ Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said: “The Kingdom of God does not come with observation;

²¹ nor will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ because indeed the Kingdom of God is within you.”

²² Then He said to the disciples: “Days are coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of the Man, and you will not see it.

²³ And they will say to you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Do not go along or follow.

²⁴ Because just like the lightning that lights the whole sky when it flashes, so also will the Son of the Man be in His day.

²⁵ But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.

²⁶ Also, just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it also be in the days of the Son of the Man.

²⁷ They were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

²⁸ Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building—

²⁹ but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and brimstone rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.

³⁰ Even so will it be in the day when the Son of the Man is revealed.

¹² As he entered a particular village, ten lepers met him, standing at a distance.

¹³ They called out, “Jesus, Master, please have mercy on us.”

¹⁴ When Jesus saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” On their way there, they were healed.

¹⁵ One of them when he saw that he was healed, returned to Jesus, shouting praises to God.

¹⁶ He fell down at Jesus' feet, thanking him. He was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ “Weren't ten lepers healed?” Jesus asked. “Where are the other nine?

¹⁸ Didn't anyone else come back to praise God—only this foreigner?”

¹⁹ Jesus told the man, “Get up and go on your way. Your trust has healed you.”

²⁰ Once, when the Pharisees came and asked him when God's kingdom would come, Jesus replied, “God's kingdom doesn't come with visible signs that you can observe.

²¹ People won't be saying, ‘Look, it's here’ or ‘Look, it's there,’ for God's kingdom is among you.”

²² Then Jesus told the disciples, “The time is coming when you'll long to see the day when the Son of man comes, but you won't see it.

²³ They'll be telling you, ‘Look, there he is,’ or ‘Look, here he is,’ but don't go running off after them.

²⁴ The day when the Son of man comes will be just like lightning that flashes, lighting up the sky from one side to the other.

²⁵ But first he will have to suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.

²⁶ The time when the Son of man comes will be like it was in Noah's day.

²⁷ People went on eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day Noah went into the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.

²⁸ It will be like it was in Lot's day. People went on eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building.

²⁹ But on the day Lot left Sodom, fire and brimstone rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.

³⁰ The day when the Son of man appears will be just like that.

¹² And as hee entred into a certaine towne, there met him tenne men that were lepers, which stoode a farre off.

¹³ And they lift vp their voyces and saide, Iesus, Master, haue mercie on vs.

¹⁴ And when he saw them, he said vnto them, Goe, shewe your selues vnto the Priestes. And it came to passe, that as they went, they were clensed.

¹⁵ Then one of them, when hee sawe that hee, was healed, turned backe, and with a loude voyce praised God,

¹⁶ And fell downe on his face at his feete, and gaue him thankes: and he was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ And Iesus answered, and said, Are there not tenne clensed? but where are the nine?

¹⁸ There is none founde that returned to giue God praise, saue this stranger.

¹⁹ And he saide vnto him, Arise, goe thy way, thy faith hath saued thee.

²⁰ And when hee was demaunded of the Pharises, when the kingdome of God shoulde come, he answered them, and said, The kingdome of God commeth not with obseruation.

²¹ Neither shall men say, Loe here, or lo there: for behold, the kingdome of God is within you.

²² And he saide vnto the disciples, The dayes will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the dayes of the Sonne of man, and ye shall not see it.

²³ Then they shall say to you, Behold here, or beholde there: but goe not thither, neither follow them.

²⁴ For as the lightening that lighteneth out of the one part vnder heauen, shineth vnto the other part vnder heauen, so shall the Sonne of man be in his day.

²⁵ But first must he suffer many things, and be reprooued of this generation.

²⁶ And as it was in the dayes of Noe, so shall it be in the dayes of the Sonne of man.

²⁷ They ate, they dranke, they married wiues, and gaue in marriage vnto the day that Noe went into the Arke: and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

²⁸ Likewise also, as it was in the dayes of Lot: they ate, they dranke, they bought, they solde, they planted, they built.

²⁹ But in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heauen, and destroyed them all.

³⁰ After these ensamples shall it be in the day when the Sonne of man is reueiled.

¹⁸ Were there none found returning to give glory to God but this foreigner?

¹⁹ And he said to him, Rise and go; thy faith hath made thee well.

²⁰ And being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was coming, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not in such a manner as to be watched for;

²¹ nor will they say, Lo here! or there! for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.

²² And he said to the disciples, The days will come, when ye will desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and will not see it.

²³ And they will say to you, Lo there! lo here! Go not away, and follow not.

²⁴ For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of one part under heaven, shineth to the other part under heaven, so will the Son of man be in his day.

¹⁵ One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.

¹⁶ He fell on his face at Yeshua Salvation's feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan person from Watch-mountain.

¹⁷ Yeshua Salvation answered, “Were not the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

¹⁸ Were there none found who teshuvah ·completely returned· to give glory to God, except this stranger?”

²⁹ but in the day that Lot Veil, Covering went out from Sodom Burning, Yahweh caused it to rain fire and sulfur from the sky, and destroyed them all.

³⁰ It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.

¹² He came to a community, and he started to go into it, but 10 men met him there. They all had a bad skin sickness, so they didn’t come close to Jesus, but they stood a little way from him and shouted to him.

¹³ They said, “Jesus, Sir, please be sorry for us.”

¹⁴ Jesus looked at them and said, “All right. Go to the leaders of our Jewish ceremonies and let them look at you skin.” So they started to go to those ceremony leaders, and while they were walking along they got better. Their skin was good again.

¹⁵ One of them looked at his skin and saw that it was good again, so he turned around and came back to Jesus. He shouted, “God is really good and really great.”

¹⁶ And he got down on his knees in front of Jesus, to show him respect, and said, “Thank you, Sir.” This man was not a Jew, like Jesus and his followers, but he came from the Samaria tribe.

¹⁷ Jesus asked the man, “I made 10 men better, didn’t I? Where are the other 9 men?”

¹⁸ Then he said, “None of the Jewish men came back to say thank you to God. Only this man from another country did that.”

¹⁹ Then Jesus said to the man, “You can stand up now and go home. You believed in me, so now you are better.”

²⁰ At one time some of the law men called Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will God come and start his family here on the earth, and be the boss of his people?” Jesus said, “You will not see anything different when God starts his family here. People can’t see it happen.

²¹ Nobody will say, ‘Look, everyone, God is the boss here,’ or, ‘Look over there and you will see that God is the boss there.’ No, it is not like that. You see, God is already getting people into his family right now. His family is right here among you mob.”

²² Then Jesus said to his followers, “The time will come when you will really want to see me, God’s special man from heaven. You will want to see me again, but you will not see me at that time.

²³ People will say to you, ‘Look, there he is, over there,’ or they might say, ‘Here he is, over here.’ But don’t take any notice of them. Don’t try to find me.

²⁴ You see, I am God’s special man from heaven, and when I come back I will be like the lightning. You know the way it flashes really bright, and everyone can see it. Well, I will be like that. Everyone will see me.

²⁵ But first, before that happens, the people that are alive today will reckon they don’t want me to be their boss, and they will hurt me a lot.

²⁶ Do you remember the story about the good man called Noah? At that time, long ago, he was making a big boat. The bad people there were living the way they always lived. They ate and drank, and they promised wives to each other, and they got married. They kept on living that way right up till the time Noah and his family went up on to that big boat. Then a big flood of water came and finished all those bad people. You see, people will be the same as that just before I, God’s special man, will come back from heaven.

²⁸ And remember the story about the good man called Lot. He lived in a city called Sodom. A lot of bad people lived there. Those people were living the way they always lived. They ate and drank, and they bought things and sold things, and they planted seeds in their gardens, and they built houses for themselves. They kept on living that way right up till the day that Lot and his family ran out of that city. Then God sent fire and burning rocks down from the sky, and it burned all of those bad people, and finished them.

³⁰ The people will be like that. They will be living the same way as they always live, right up till the day that I come back here to show myself to everybody. I am God’s special man from heaven.

¹⁸ Ther are not founde that returned agane to geve God prayse save only this straunger.

¹⁹ And he sayde vnto him: aryse and goo thy waye thy faith hath made the whoale.

²⁰ When he was demaunded of the pharises when the kyngdome of God shuld come: he answered them and sayde: The kyngdome of God cometh not with waytinge for.

²¹ Nether shall men saye: Loo here loo there. For beholde the kyngdome of God is with in you.

²² And he sayde vnto the disciples: The dayes will come when ye shall desyre to se one daye of the sonne of man and ye shall not se it.

²³ And they shall saye to you: Se here Se there. Goo not after them nor folowe them

²⁴ for as the lyghtenynge that apereth out of the one parte of the heven and shyneth vnto the other parte of heven: Soo shall the sonne of man be in his dayes.

²⁵ But fyrst must he suffre many thinges and be refused of this nacion.

²⁶ As it happened in the tyme of Noe: So shall it be in the tyme of the sonne of man.

²⁷ They ate they dranke they maryed wyves and were maryed even vnto the same daye that Noe went into the arke: and the floud cam and destroyed the all.

²⁸ Lykewyse also as it chaunsed in the dayes of Lot. They ate they dranke they bought they solde they planted they bilte.

²⁹ And even the same daye that Lot went out of Zodom it rayned fyre and brymstone from heven and destroyed them all.

¹³ They lifted up their voices, saying, “Yeshua, Master, have mercy on us!”

¹⁴ When he saw them, he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were cleansed.

¹⁵ One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.

¹⁶ He fell on his face at Yeshua’s feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ Yeshua answered, “Weren’t the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

¹⁸ Were there none found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?”

¹⁹ Then he said to him, “Get up, and go your way. Your faith has healed you.”

²⁰ Being asked by the Pharisees when God’s Kingdom would come, he answered them, “God’s Kingdom doesn’t come with observation;

²¹ neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.”

²² He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

²³ They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away or follow after them,

²⁴ for as the lightning, when it flashes out of one part under the sky, shines to another part under the sky, so will the Son of Man be in his day.

²⁵ But first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.

²⁶ As it was in the days of Noah, even so it will also be in the days of the Son of Man.

²⁷ They ate, they drank, they married, and they were given in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ship, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

²⁸ Likewise, even as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;

²⁹ but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulfur from the sky and destroyed them all.

³⁰ It will be the same way in the day that the Son of Man is revealed.

¹² As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were lepers met him, who stood at a distance.

¹⁴ And as he saw them, he said, Go, show ye you to the priests. And it was done, while they went, they were cleansed.

¹⁵ And one of them, as he saw that he was cleansed, went again, magni-fying God with a great voice.

¹⁶ And he fell down on the face before his feet, and did thankings or doing graces; and this was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ And Jesus answered, and said, Whether ten be not cleansed, and where be the nine?

¹⁸ There is none found, that turned again, and gave glory to God, but this alien or this stranger.

¹⁹ And he said to him, Rise up, go thou; for thy faith hath made thee safe.

²⁰ And he was asked of the Pharisees, when the realm of God cometh. And he answered to them, and said, The realm of God cometh not with espying,

²¹ neither they shall say, Lo! here, or lo! there; for lo! the realm of God is within you.

²² And he said to his disciples, Days shall come, when ye shall desire to see one day of man’s Son, and ye shall not see.

²³ And they shall say to you, Lo! here, and lo! there. Do not ye go, neither pursue;

²⁴ for as lightning shining from under heaven shineth into or on those things that be under heaven, so shall man’s Son be in his day.

²⁵ But first it behooveth him to suffer many things, and to be reproved of this generation.

²⁶ And as it was done in the days of Noah, so it shall be in the days of man’s Son.

²⁷ They ate and drank, wedded wives, and were given to weddings, till into the day in which Noah entered into the ship; and the great flood came, and lost all.

¹⁷ And Jesus answered, and said, Whether ten be not cleansed (or Were ten not healed), and where be the (other) nine?

¹⁸ There is none found, that turned again, and gave glory to God, but this alien or this stranger. (There is no one who returned, and gave glory to God, except this foreigner.)

¹⁹ And he said to him, Rise up, go thou; for thy faith hath made thee safe, (or for thy faith hath saved thee, or thy faith hath healed thee).

²⁰ And he was asked of the Pharisees, when the realm of God cometh, (or And he was asked by the Pharisees, when the Kingdom of God would come). And he answered to them, and said, The realm of God cometh not with espying,

²⁵ But first it behooveth him to suffer many things, and to be reproved of this generation, (or and to be rebuked, or to be rejected, by this generation).

²⁶ And as it was done in the days of Noe (or of Noah), so it shall be in the days of man’s Son.

²⁷ They ate and drank, wedded wives, and were given to weddings, till into the day in which Noe (or Noah) entered into the ship; and the great flood came, and lost all, (or and then the great flood came, and destroyed everything).

²⁸ Also as it was done in the days of Lot, they ate and drank, bought and sold, planted and builded;

²⁹ but in the day that Lot went out of Sodom, the Lord rained (down) fire and brimstone from heaven, and lost all (or and destroyed everything).

³⁰ Like this thing it shall be or After this thing it shall be, in what day man’s Son shall be showed. (It shall be like that, on the day when man’s Son shall be revealed.)

¹⁴ And as he say hem, he seide, Go ye, `schewe ye you to the prestis. And it was don, the while thei wenten, thei weren clensid.

¹⁵ And oon of hem, as he saiy that he was clensid, wente ayen, magnifiynge God with grete vois.

¹⁶ And he fel doun on the face bifore hise feet, and dide thankyngis; and this was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ And Jhesus answerde, and seide, Whether ten ben not clensid, and where ben the nyne?

¹⁸ There is noon foundun, that turnede ayen, and yaf glorie to God, but this alien.

¹⁹ And he seide to hym, Rise vp, go thou; for thi feith hath maad thee saaf.

²⁰ And he was axid of Farisees, whanne the rewme of God cometh. And he answerde to hem, and seide, The rewme of God cometh not with aspiyng,

²¹ nether thei schulen seie, Lo! here, or lo there; for lo! the rewme of God is with ynne you.

²² And he seide to hise disciplis, Daies schulen come, whanne ye schulen desire to se o dai of mannus sone, and ye schulen not se.

²³ And thei schulen seie to you, Lo! here, and lo there. Nyle ye go, nether sue ye;

²⁴ for as leyt schynynge from vndur heuene schyneth in to tho thingis that ben vndur heuene, so schal mannus sone be in his dai.

²⁵ But first it bihoueth hym to suffre many thingis, and to be repreued of this generacioun.

²⁶ And as it was doon in the daies of Noe, so it schal be in the daies of mannys sone.

²⁷ Thei eeten and drunkun, weddiden wyues, and weren youun to weddyngis, til in to the dai in the whych Noe entride in to the schip; and the greet flood cam, and loste alle.

²⁸ Also as it was don in the daies of Loth, thei eeten and drunkun, bouyten and seelden, plauntiden and bildiden; but the dai that Loth wente out of Sodome,

²⁹ the Lord reynede fier and brymstoon fro heuene, and loste alle.

³⁰ Lijk this thing it schal be, in what dai mannys sone schal be schewid.

¹⁶ and he fell upon his face at his feet, giving thanks to him, and he was a Samaritan.

¹⁷ And Jesus answering said, 'Were not the ten cleansed, and the nine — where?

¹⁸ There were not found who did turn back to give glory to God, except this alien;'

¹⁹ and he said to him, 'Having risen, be going on, thy faith hath saved thee.'

²⁰ And having been questioned by the Pharisees, when the reign of God doth come, he answered them, and said, 'The reign of God doth not come with observation;

²¹ nor shall they say, Lo, here; or lo, there; for lo, the reign of God is within you.'

²² And he said unto his disciples, 'Days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and ye shall not behold it;

²³ and they shall say to you, Lo, here; or lo, there; ye may not go away, nor follow;

²⁴ for as the lightning that is lightening out of the one part under heaven, to the other part under heaven doth shine, so shall be also the Son of Man in his day;

²⁵ and first it behoveth him to suffer many things, and to be rejected by this generation.

²⁶ 'And, as it came to pass in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man;

²⁷ they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were given in marriage, till the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the deluge came, and destroyed all;

²⁸ in like manner also, as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building;

²⁹ and on the day Lot went forth from Sodom, He rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed all.

³⁰ 'According to these things it shall be, in the day the Son of Man is revealed;
