¹¹ Even the dust from your city, that cleaveth to our feet, we wipe off against you: nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh.

¹² I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.

¹³ Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you.

¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven? thou shalt be brought down unto Hades.

¹⁶ He that heareth you heareth me; and he that rejecteth you rejecteth me; and he that rejecteth me rejecteth him that sent me.

¹⁷ And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject unto us in thy name.

¹⁸ And he said unto them, I beheld Satan fallen as lightning from heaven.

¹⁹ Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you.

²⁰ Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.

²¹ In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes: yea, Father; for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight.

²⁰ Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

¹¹ ‘ Because you have refused to hear our message, we(exc) will not only leave, we will also shake off the dust of your town that clings to our sandals, to warn you that God will reject/punish you. But we want you to know that it is almost the time when God will start to rule!’

¹² I will tell you this: On the MTY final day when God judges everyone, he will punish the wicked people MTY who long ago lived in Sodom, the city that he destroyed because its people were so wicked. But he will punish even more severely the people MTY of any town whose people refused to hear your message!”

¹³ “There will be terrible punishment for you people who live in MTY Chorazin and Bethsaida cities. I did great miracles in your cities to show God's power, but you did not turn from your sinful behavior. If the miracles that I performed in your cities had been done in Tyre and Sidon cities, the wicked people who lived there would have long ago shown that they were sorry for their sins by sitting on the ground wearing coarse cloth and putting ashes on their heads.

¹⁴ But they did not have the opportunity that you have, so when God punishes people, he will punish the wicked people who lived in Tyre and Sidon, but he will punish you more severely because you did not pay attention to my message.

¹⁵ I also have something to say to you people who live in Capernaum city. ◄Do not think that you will be honored { that God will honor you} in heaven!/Do you think that you will be honored { that God will honor you} in heaven?► RHQ That will not happen! On the contrary, after you die, God will send you down to the place where sinful people will be punished forever!”

¹⁶ Jesus also said to the disciples, “God will consider that those who listen to your message are listening to me, and that those who reject your message are rejecting me. And he will consider that those who reject me are rejecting God, the one who sent me.”

¹⁷ The seventy-two people whom Jesus appointed went and did as he told them to. When they returned, they were very joyful. They said, “Lord, people did what we(exc) told them to do! Demons also obeyed us when by your (sg) authority MTY we commanded them to leave people!”

¹⁸ Jesus replied, “ When those demons were obeying you, because God had enabled you to defeat them, it was as though MET I saw Satan fall from heaven as suddenly and quickly as lightning strikes.

¹⁹ Listen! I have given you authority so that if you oppose evil spirits MET they will not hurt you. I have given you authority to defeat our enemy, Satan. Nothing shall hurt you.

²⁰ But although you can rejoice that evil spirits obey you, you should rejoice more that your names have been written {that God has written your names} in heaven, because you will be with God forever.”

²¹ At that time the Holy Spirit caused Jesus to be very happy. He said, “Father, you (sg) rule over everything in heaven and on the earth! Some people think that they are wise because they are well-educated. But I thank you that you have prevented them from knowing these things. Instead, you have revealed them to people who accept your truth as readily MET as little children do. Yes, Father, you have done that because it seemed good to you to do so.”

¹¹ Even the dust of your town, which is on our feet, we put off as a witness against you; but be certain of this, that the kingdom of God is near.

¹² I say to you, It will be better in that day for Sodom than for that town.

¹³ A curse is on you, Chorazin! A curse is on you, Beth-saida! For if such works of power had been done in Tyre and Sidon as have been done in you, they would have been turned from their sins, in days gone by, seated in the dust.

¹⁴ But it will be better for Tyre and Sidon, in the day of judging, than for you.

¹⁵ And you, Capernaum, were you not lifted up to heaven? you will go down to hell.

¹⁶ Whoever gives ear to you, gives ear to me; and whoever is against you, is against me; and whoever is against me, is against him who sent me.

¹⁷ And the seventy came back with joy, saying, Lord, even the evil spirits are under our power in your name.

¹⁸ And he said, I was watching for Satan, falling from heaven like a star.

¹⁹ See, I have given you power to put your feet on snakes and evil beasts, and over all the strength of him who is against you: and nothing will do you damage.

²⁰ Do not be glad, however, because you have power over spirits, but because your names are recorded in heaven.

²¹ In that same hour he was full of joy in the Holy Spirit and said, I give praise to you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have kept these things secret from the wise and the men of learning, and have made them clear to little children: for so, O Father, it was pleasing in your eyes.

¹¹ Even the dust of your city, which cleaves to us on the feet, do we shake off against you; but know this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh.

¹² I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for Sodom in that day than for that city.

¹³ Woe to thee, Chorazin! woe to thee, Bethsaida! for if the works of power which have taken place in you had taken place in Tyre and Sidon, they had long ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.

¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, who hast been raised up to heaven, shalt be brought down even to hades.

¹⁶ He that hears you hears me; and he that rejects you rejects me; and he that rejects me rejects him that sent me.

¹⁸ And he said to them, I beheld Satan as lightning falling out of heaven.

¹⁹ Behold, I give you the power of treading upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall in anywise injure you.

²⁰ Yet in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subjected to you, but rejoice that your names are written in the heavens.

²¹ In the same hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said, I praise thee, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that thou hast hid these things from wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes: yea, Father, for thus has it been well-pleasing in thy sight.

¹¹ Even the very dust of your city that cleaveth to us, we wipe off against you. Yet know this, that the kingdom of God is at hand.

¹² I say to you, it shall be more tolerable at that day for Sodom, than for that city.

¹³ Woe to thee, Corozain, woe to thee, Bethsaida. For if in Tyre and Sidon had been wrought the mighty works that have been wrought in you, they would have done penance long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgement, than for you.

¹⁵ And thou, Capharnaum, which art exalted unto heaven, thou shalt be thrust down to hell.

¹⁶ He that heareth you, heareth me; and he that despiseth you, despiseth me; and he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me.

¹⁷ And the seventy-two returned with joy, saying: Lord, the devils also are subject to us in thy name.

¹² I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city.

¹³ “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! Because if the miracles which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

²¹ In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.”

¹¹ ‘Even the dust of your town that clings to us we wipe off against you. Nonetheless know this, that the Kingdom of God has come near to you.’

¹⁸ So He said to them: “I watched Satan fall like lightning out of heaven.

¹⁹ Take note, I am giving you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing at all may harm you.

²⁰ However, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you; rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

²¹ In that same hour Jesus exulted in His spirit and said: “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to ‘infants’. Yes, Father, because it pleased you to do so.”

¹¹ ‘We are wiping off even the dust from your town that clings to our feet to show you our disapproval. But you should recognize this: God's kingdom has come.’

¹² I tell you, in the Day of Judgment it will be better for Sodom than for such a town.

¹³ Shame on you Korazin! Shame on you Bethsaida! For if the miracles you saw happen had happened in Tyre and Sidon they would have repented a long time ago, and they would be sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ That's why in the judgment it will be better for Tyre and Sidon than for you.

¹⁵ And you, Capernaum, you won't be exalted to heaven; you will go down to Hades.

¹⁶ Anyone who hears you hears me, and anyone who rejects you rejects me. But anyone who rejects me rejects the one who sent me.”

¹⁷ The seventy disciples returned in great excitement, saying, “Lord, even the demons do what we tell them in your name!”

¹⁸ Jesus replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

¹⁹ Yes, I have given you power to tread on snakes and scorpions, and to overcome all the enemy's strength, and nothing will harm you.

²⁰ But don't take delight that the spirits do what you tell them—just be glad that your names are written in heaven.”

²¹ At that moment Jesus was filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit, and said, “I thank you Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for you hid these things from the wise and clever people and revealed them to children! Yes, Father, you were pleased to do it in this way.

¹¹ Euen the very dust, which cleaueth on vs of your citie, we wipe off against you: notwithstanding knowe this, that the kingdome of God was come neere vnto you.

¹² For I say to you, that it shall be easier in that day for them of Sodom, then for that citie.

¹³ Woe be to thee, Chorazin: woe be to thee, Beth-saida: for if the miracles had bene done in Tyrus and Sidon, which haue bene done in you, they had a great while agone repented, sitting in sackecloth and ashes.

¹⁴ Therefore it shall be easier for Tyrus, and Sidon, at the iudgement, then for you.

¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heauen, shalt be thrust downe to hell.

¹⁷ And the seuentie turned againe with ioy, saying, Lord, euen the deuils are subdued to vs through thy Name.

¹⁸ And he said vnto them, I sawe Satan, like lightening, fall downe from heauen.

¹⁹ Beholde, I giue vnto you power to treade on Serpents, and Scorpions, and ouer all the power of the enemie, and nothing shall hurt you.

²⁰ Neuerthelesse, in this reioyce not, that the spirits are subdued vnto you: but rather reioyce, because your names are written in heauen.

²¹ That same houre reioyced Iesus in the spirit, and said, I confesse vnto thee, Father, Lord of heauen and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and vnderstanding, and hast reueiled them to babes: euen so, Father, because it so pleased thee.

¹¹ Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

Yea, Father, for so it seemed good in thy sight. And turning to the disciples he said,

¹¹ ‘We wipe off the dust of your town which has clung to Our feet; still, be assured that the kingdom of God is close at Hand.’

¹² I tell you that the doom of Sodom will be more bearable on that day than the doom of that town.

¹³ Alas for you, Chorazin! Alas for you, Bethsaida! For, if the Miracles which have been done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have sat in sackcloth and ashes and repented long ago.

¹⁴ Yet the doom of Tyre and Sidon will be more bearable at the judgement than yours.

¹⁵ And you, Capernaum! Will you exalt yourself to heaven? You will be flung down to Hades.

¹⁶ Anyone who listens to you is listening to me, and anyone who rejects you is rejecting me; while the person who rejects me is rejecting him who sent me as his messenger.”

¹⁷ When the seventy-two returned, they exclaimed joyfully, “Master, even the demons submit to us when we use your name.”

¹⁸ And Jesus replied, “I have had visions of Satan, fallen, like lightning from the heavens.

¹⁹ Remember, I have given you the power to trample on snakes and scorpions, and to meet all the strength of the Enemy. Nothing will ever harm you in any way.

²⁰ Yet do not rejoice in the fact that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names have been enrolled in heaven.”

²¹ At that same time, moved to exultation by the Holy Spirit, Jesus said: “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that, though you have hidden these things from the wise and learnt, you have revealed them to the childlike! Yes, Father, I thank you that this has seemed good to you.

¹⁴ But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.

¹⁵ You, Capernaum Village-Comfort, Village-Compassion, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades / Sh'ol ·Place of the dead·.

¹⁶ Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever rejects you rejects me. Whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”

¹⁷ The seventy teshuvah ·completely returned· with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!”

¹⁸ He said to them, “I saw Satan Adversary having fallen like lightning from heaven.

¹⁹ Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you.

²⁰ Nevertheless, don’t rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

²¹ In that same hour Yeshua Salvation rejoiced in Ruach haKodesh Spirit of the Holiness, and said, “I thank you, O Abba ·Father familiar, Dear Dad·, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Abba ·Father familiar, Dear Dad·, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.”

¹³ Jesus talked to the people that lived in some towns. He said, “You mob that live in Korazin and Bethsaida, you will be really sorry. You see, I did a lot of powerful things there in your towns, but you didn’t listen to me, and you kept on doing bad things. Do you remember those towns called Tyre and Sidon? Many years ago their people did bad things. At that time I didn’t go and do powerful things for them, so they didn’t get the chance to listen to me, so they didn’t turn around and stop doing bad things. If they got that chance they would be very sorry for the bad things they did, and they would turn to God. But that didn’t happen.

¹⁴ You know, one day God will judge everybody, and he will punish those people for the bad things they did, but he will punish you mob a lot more than he will punish that mob. You mob had the chance to turn around, but you didn’t do it.

¹⁵ And it’s the same for you mob that live in Capernaum. You reckon you are good, so you reckon God will take you up into heaven. But you are wrong. He knows you are no good, and he will chuck you into hell.”

¹¹ even the very dust which cleaveth on vs of your citie we wipe of agaynst you: Not withstondinge marke this that the kyngdome of God was come nie vpon you.

¹² Ye and I saye vnto you: that it shalbe easier in that daye for Sodom then for that cytie.

¹³ Wo be to the Chorazin: wo be to the Bethsaida. For yf the miracles had bene done in Tyre and Sidon which have bene done in you they had a greate whyle agone repeted sitting in heere and asshes.

¹⁴ Neverthelesse it shalbe easier for Tyre and Sidon at the iudgement then for you.

¹⁵ And thou Capernau which art exalted to heaven shalt be thrust doune to hell.

¹⁶ He that heareth you heareth me: and he that dispiseth you despiseth me: and he that dispiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

¹⁷ And the sevetie returned agayne with ioye sayinge: Lorde even the very devyls are subdued to vs thorowe thy name.

¹⁸ And he sayde vnto them: I sawe satan as it had bene lightenyng faule doune from heaven.

¹⁹ Beholde I geve vnto you power to treade on serpetes and scorpions and over all maner power of the enimye and no thinge shall hurte you.

²⁰ Neverthelesse in this reioyse not that the spretes are vnder youre power: but reioyse be cause youre names are wrytten in heaven.

²¹ That same tyme reioysed Iesus in the sprete and sayde: I confesse vnto the father Lorde of heaven and erth that thou hast hyd these thynges from the wyse and prudent and hast opened them to the babes. Even so father for soo pleased it the.

¹¹ 'Even the dust from your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you! But know this: The kingdom of God has come near.'

¹² I say to you that on the judgment day it will be more tolerable for Sodom than for that town.

¹³ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

¹⁴ But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.

¹⁸ Jesus said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven as lightning.

¹⁹ See, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will in any way hurt you.

²⁰ Nevertheless do not rejoice only in this, that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice even more that your names are engraved in heaven.”

²¹ At that same time he rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you concealed these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to those who are untaught, like little children. Yes, Father, for so it was well pleasing in your sight.”

¹¹ ‘Even the dust from your city that clings to us, we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that God’s Kingdom has come near to you.’

¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, art enhanced till to heaven; thou shalt be drenched or drowned down till into hell.

¹⁶ He that heareth you, heareth me; and he that despiseth you, despiseth me; and he that despiseth me, despis-eth him that sent me.

¹⁷ And the two and seventy disciples turned again with joy, and said, Lord, also devils be subject to us in thy name.

¹⁸ And he said to them, I saw Satan falling down from heaven, as lightning.

¹⁹ And lo! I have given to you power to tread on serpents, and scorpions, and on all the virtue of the enemy, and nothing shall annoy you.

²⁰ Nevertheless do not ye have joy in this thing, that spirits be subject to you; but joy ye, that your names be written in heavens.

²¹ In that hour he gladded in the Holy Ghost, and said, I acknowledge to thee, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for thou hast hid these things from wise men and prudent, and hast showed them to small or little children. Yea, Father, for so it pleased before thee or so it pleased to thee.

¹¹ We wipe off against you the powder that cleaved to us of your city; nevertheless know ye this thing, that the realm of God shall come nigh. (We wipe off against you the dust that cleaved to us from your city; nevertheless know ye this thing, that the Kingdom of God hath come near to you.)

¹² I say to you, that to Sodom it shall be easier or it shall be less pain(ful) than to that city in that day.

¹³ Woe to thee, Chorazin; woe to thee, Bethsaida; for if in Tyre and Sidon the virtues had been done, which have been done in you, sometime they would have sat in haircloth and ashes, and have done penance. (Woe to thee, Chorazin! woe to thee, Bethsaida! for if in Tyre and Sidon the works of power, or the miracles, had been done, which have been done in you, long ago they would have sat in sackcloth and ashes, and have repented.)

¹⁴ Nevertheless to Tyre and Sidon it shall be easier in the doom, than to you. (Nevertheless for Tyre and Sidon, it shall be easier at the Judgement, than for you.)

¹⁵ And thou, Capernaum, art enhanced till to heaven; thou shalt be drenched down till into hell. (And thou, Capernaum, art exalted unto heaven? or art raised up into the sky? thou shalt be drowned down till into hell!)

¹⁹ And lo! I have given to you power to tread on serpents, and scorpions, and on all the virtue of the enemy (or and over all the power of the enemy), and nothing shall harm you.

²⁰ Nevertheless do not ye have joy in this thing, that spirits be subject to you; but joy ye, that your names be written in heavens. (Nevertheless do not rejoice over this, that the spirits, or the devils and the demons, be subject to you; rather rejoice, that your names be written in heaven.)

Yea, Father, for so it pleased before thee or for so it pleased to thee. (At that time he was filled with gladness by the Holy Spirit, or At that time he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I acknowledge to thee, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for thou hast hidden these things from wise and prudent men, and thou hast shown them to little children. Yes, Father, for so it pleased thee.)

¹¹ and seie ye, We wipen of ayens you the poudir that cleued to vs of youre citee; netheles wite ye this thing, that the rewme of God schal come nyy.

¹² Y seie to you, that to Sodom it schal be esiere than to that citee in that dai.

¹³ Wo to thee, Corosayn; wo to thee, Bethsaida; for if in Tyre and Sidon the vertues hadden be don, whiche han be don in you, sum tyme thei wolden haue sete in heyre and asches, and haue don penaunce.

¹⁴ Netheles to Tire and Sidon it schal be esiere in the doom than to you.

¹⁹ And lo! Y haue youun to you power to trede on serpentis, and on scorpyouns, and on al the vertu of the enemy, and nothing schal anoye you.

²⁰ Netheles nyle ye ioye on this thing, that spiritis ben suget to you; but ioye ye, that youre names ben writun in heuenes.

²¹ In thilk our he gladide in the Hooli Goost, and seide, Y knouleche to thee, fadir, Lord of heuene and of erthe, for thou hast hid these thingis fro wise men and prudent, and hast schewid hem to smale children. Yhe, fadir, for so it pleside bifor thee.

¹¹ And the dust that hath cleaved to us, from your city, we do wipe off against you, but this know ye, that the reign of God hath come nigh to you;

¹² and I say to you, that for Sodom in that day it shall be more tolerable than for that city.

¹⁴ but for Tyre and Sidon it shall be more tolerable in the judgment than for you.

¹⁵ 'And thou, Capernaum, which unto the heaven wast exalted, unto hades thou shalt be brought down.

¹⁶ 'He who is hearing you, doth hear me; and he who is putting you away, doth put me away; and he who is putting me away, doth put away Him who sent me.'

¹⁷ And the seventy turned back with joy, saying, 'Sir, and the demons are being subjected to us in thy name;'

¹⁸ and he said to them, 'I was beholding the Adversary, as lightning from the heaven having fallen;

¹⁹ lo, I give to you the authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and on all the power of the enemy, and nothing by any means shall hurt you;

²⁰ but, in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subjected to you, but rejoice rather that your names were written in the heavens.'

²¹ In that hour was Jesus glad in the Spirit, and said, 'I do confess to thee, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that Thou didst hide these things from wise men and understanding, and didst reveal them to babes; yes, Father, because so it became good pleasure before Thee.
