Leviticus 6:1-3 in English

¹ And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

² If any one sin, and commit a trespass against Jehovah, and deal falsely with his neighbor in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or have oppressed his neighbor,

³ or have found that which was lost, and deal falsely therein, and swear to a lie; in any of all these things that a man doeth, sinning therein;

¹ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

² Charge Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of whole-burnt-offering; this is the whole-burnt-offering in its burning on the altar all the night till the morning; and the fire of the altar shall burn on it, it shall not be put out.

³ And the priest shall put on the linen tunic, and he shall put the linen drawers on his body; and shall take away that which has been thoroughly burnt, which the fire shall have consumed, even the whole-burnt-offering from the altar, and he shall put it near the altar.

¹ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

² If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;

³ Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:

¹ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

² If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;

³ Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:

¹ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

² The soul which shall have sinned, and willfully overlooked the commandments of the Lord, and shall have dealt falsely in the affairs of his neighbor in the matter of a deposit, or concerning fellowship, or concerning plunder, or has in anything wronged his neighbor,

³ or has found that which was lost, and shall have lied concerning it, and shall have sworn unjustly concerning any one of all the things, whatever a man may do, so as to sin hereby;

¹ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

² If any one sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and deal falsely with his neighbour in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or have oppressed his neighbour;

³ or have found that which was lost, and deal falsely thereto, and swear to a lie; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:

¹ Yahweh also said to Moses/me,

² “If any one of you you sins against me by deceiving someone—if you refuse to return what someone has lent you, or if you steal something of his, or if you find something and claim that you do not have it,

³ you are guilty. You must return to its owner what you have stolen or what someone has lent you and you have not returned, or what you found that someone else had lost,

¹ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

¹ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

² “If anyone sins, and commits a trespass against Yahweh, and deals falsely with his neighbor in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or has oppressed his neighbor,

³ or has found that which was lost, and lied about it, and swearing to a lie—in any of these things that a man sins in his actions—

¹ The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

² “If anyone sins, and commits a trespass against the LORD, and deals falsely with his neighbour in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or has oppressed his neighbour,

³ or has found that which was lost, and lied about it, and swearing to a lie—in any of these things that a man sins in his actions—

¹ And the Lord said to Moses,

² If anyone does wrong, and is untrue to the Lord, acting falsely to his neighbour in connection with something put in his care, or something given for a debt, or has taken away anything by force, or has been cruel to his neighbour,

³ Or has taken a false oath about the loss of something which he has come across by chance; if a man has done any of these evil things,

¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

² If any one sin and act unfaithfully against Jehovah, and lie to his neighbour as to an entrusted thing or a deposit or that in which he hath robbed or wronged his neighbour,

³ or have found what was lost, and denieth it, and sweareth falsely in anything of all that man doeth, sinning therein;

¹ The Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

² Whosoever shall sin, and despising the Lord, shall deny to his neighbour the thing delivered to his keeping, which was committed to his trust; or shall by force extort any thing, or commit oppression;

³ Or shall find a thing lost, and denying it, shall also swear falsely, or shall do any other of the many things, wherein men are wont to sin:

¹ The Lord told Moses,

² “If you sin against the Lord, breaking your commitment to him, then this is what must happen. You may have lied to your neighbor about something you were looking after for them, about some deposit paid, about something was stolen, or maybe you were trying to cheat them.

³ You may have found property someone lost, and you lied and made false statements about it, or you have sinned in others ways that people do in such situations.

¹ And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

² If any sinne and commit a trespasse against the Lord, and denie vnto his neighbour that, which was take him to keepe, or that which was put to him of trust, or doth by robberie, or by violence oppresse his neighbour,

³ Or hath found that which was lost, and denieth it, and sweareth falsely, for any of these things that a man doeth, wherein he sinneth:

¹ (5-20) And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:

² (5-21) If any one sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and deal falsely with his neighbour in a matter of deposit, or of pledge, or of robbery, or have oppressed his neighbour;

³ (5-22) or have found that which was lost, and deal falsely therein, and swear to a lie; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein;

¹ And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

² If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the Lord, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;

³ or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:

¹ (5:20) And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,

² (5:21) If any person sin, and commit a trespass against the Lord; if he, namely, lie unto his neighbor in that which was delivered to him to keep, or in a loan, or in a thing taken away by violence, or if he have withheld the wages of his neighbor;

³ (5:22) Or if he have found something which was lost, and lie concerning it, and swear falsely; in any one of all these which a man can do, to sin thereby:

¹ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

¹ And the Lord spake with Mosheh, saying:

² Instruct Aharon and his sons, saying: This is the law of the Burnt Offering. It is burnt offering, because burned upon the altar all night until morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it.

³ And the priest shall dress himself with the vestments of linen, and wear drawers of linen upon his flesh; and he shall separate the ashes which the fire hath consumed with the burnt offering upon the altar, and set them beside the altar.

¹ Adonai spoke to Moses Drawn out, saying,

² “If anyone sins, and commits a trespass against Adonai , and deals falsely with his neighbor in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or has oppressed his neighbor,

³ or has found that which was lost, and dealt falsely therein, and swearing to a lie; in any of these things that a man does, sinning therein;

¹ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

² “If anyone sins and acts unfaithfully against Yahweh by deceiving his neighbor regarding something held in trust, or was left in his care, or about something that was stolen, or if he has oppressed his neighbor,

³ or he has found something that his neighbor lost and lies about it, or if he swears falsely, or in any matters like these by which people sin,

¹ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

² “If anyone sins, and commits a trespass against Yahweh, and deals falsely with his neighbor in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or has oppressed his neighbor,

³ or has found that which was lost, and lied about it, and swearing to a lie—in any of these things that a man sins in his actions—

¹ The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

² “If anyone sins, and commits a trespass against the LORD, and deals falsely with his neighbour in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or has oppressed his neighbour,

³ or has found that which was lost, and lied about it, and swearing to a lie—in any of these things that a man sins in his actions—

³ Or hath found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein:

¹ The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

² “If anyone sins, and commits a trespass against the LORD, and deals falsely with his neighbor in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or has oppressed his neighbor,

³ or has found that which was lost, and lied about it, and swearing to a lie—in any of these things that a man sins in his actions—

¹ The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

² “If anyone sins, and commits a trespass against the LORD, and deals falsely with his neighbour in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or has oppressed his neighbour,

³ or has found that which was lost, and lied about it, and swearing to a lie—in any of these things that a man sins in his actions—

¹ And the Lord spake to Moses, and said,

² A soul, that is, a man, that sinneth, and despiseth the Lord, and denieth to his neighbour a thing betaken to his keeping, that was betaken to his faith, either taketh masterfully a thing by violence, either maketh false challenge,

³ either findeth a thing lost, and denieth it furthermore, and forsweareth, and doeth any other thing of many, in which things men be wont to do sin,

¹ And the Lord spake to Moses, and said,

² A soul, that is, a man, that sinneth, and despiseth the Lord, and denieth to his neighbour a thing betaken to his keeping, that was betaken to his faith, either taketh masterfully a thing by violence, either maketh false challenge, (Anyone who sinneth, and despiseth the Lord, and denieth to his neighbour that a thing was given to his keeping, that was given to him in faith, or who taketh a thing by violence, or who maketh false challenge,)

³ either findeth a thing lost, and denieth it furthermore, and forsweareth, and doeth any other thing of many, in which things men be wont to do sin, (or who findeth a lost thing, but denieth it forevermore, and forsweareth, or who doeth any other thing of many things, in which people be wont to sin,)

¹ And the Lord spak to Moises,

² and seide, A soule that synneth, and dispisith the Lord, and denyeth to his neiybore a thing bitakun to kepyng, that was bitakun to his feith, ethir takith maisterfuli a thing bi violence, ether makith fals chaleng,

³ ether fyndith a thing lost, and denyeth ferthermore and forswerith, and doth ony other thing of manye in whiche thingis men ben wont to do synne,

¹ And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

² 'When any person doth sin, and hath committed a trespass against Jehovah, and hath lied to his fellow concerning a deposit, or concerning fellowship, or concerning violent robbery, or hath oppressed his fellow;

³ or hath found a lost thing, and hath lied concerning it, and hath sworn to a falsehood, concerning one of all these which man doth, sinning in them:
