Leviticus 9:1-15 in English

¹ And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

² and he said unto Aaron, Take thee a calf of the herd for a sin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering, without blemish, and offer them before Jehovah.

³ And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a he-goat for a sin-offering; and a calf and a lamb, both a year old, without blemish, for a burnt-offering;

⁴ and an ox and a ram for peace-offerings, to sacrifice before Jehovah; and a meal-offering mingled with oil: for to-day Jehovah appeareth unto you.

⁵ And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tent of meeting: and all the congregation drew near and stood before Jehovah.

⁶ And Moses said, This is the thing which Jehovah commanded that ye should do: and the glory of Jehovah shall appear unto you.

⁷ And Moses said unto Aaron, Draw near unto the altar, and offer thy sin-offering, and thy burnt-offering, and make atonement for thyself, and for the people; and offer the oblation of the people, and make atonement for them; as Jehovah commanded.

⁸ So Aaron drew near unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin-offering, which was for himself.

⁹ And the sons of Aaron presented the blood unto him; and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar:

¹⁰ but the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul from the liver of the sin-offering, he burnt upon the altar; as Jehovah commanded Moses.

¹¹ And the flesh and the skin he burnt with fire without the camp.

¹² And he slew the burnt-offering; and Aaron’s sons delivered unto him the blood, and he sprinkled it upon the altar round about.

¹³ And they delivered the burnt-offering unto him, piece by piece, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.

¹⁴ And he washed the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt-offering on the altar.

¹⁵ And he presented the people’s oblation, and took the goat of the sin-offering which was for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.

¹ And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel,

² and Moses said to Aaron, Take to thyself a young calf of the herd for a sin-offering, and a ram for a whole-burnt-offering, unblemished, and offer them before the Lord.

³ And speak to the elders of Israel, saying, Take one kid of the goats for a sin-offering, and a young calf, and a lamb of a year old for a whole-burnt-offering, spotless,

⁴ and a calf and a ram for a peace offering before the Lord, and fine flour mingled with oil, for to-day the Lord will appear among you.

⁵ And they took as Moses commanded them before the tabernacle of witness, and all the congregation drew nigh, and they stood before the Lord.

⁶ And Moses said, This is the thing which the Lord has spoken; do it, and the glory of the Lord shall appear among you.

⁷ And Moses said to Aaron, Draw nigh to the altar, and offer thy sin-offering, and thy whole-burnt-offering, and make atonement for thyself, and for thy house; and offer the gifts of the people, and make atonement for them, as the Lord commanded Moses.

⁸ And Aaron drew nigh to the altar, and slew the calf of his sin-offering.

⁹ And the sons of Aaron brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger into the blood, and put it on the horns of the altar, and he poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar.

¹⁰ And he offered up on the altar the fat and the kidneys and the lobe of the liver of the sin-offering, according as the Lord commanded Moses.

¹¹ And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire outside of the camp.

¹² And he slew the whole-burnt-offering; and the sons of Aaron brought the blood to him, and he poured it on the altar round about.

¹³ And they brought the whole-burnt-offering, according to its pieces; them and the head he put upon the altar.

¹⁴ And he washed the belly and the feet with water, and he put them on the whole-burnt-offering on the altar.

¹⁵ And he brought the gift of the people, and took the goat of the sin-offering of the people, and slew it, and purified it as also the first.

⁸ Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.

¹⁵ And he brought the gift of the people, and took the goat of the sin-offering of the people, and killed it, and purified it as also the first.

¹⁵ And he presented the people’s oblation, and took the goat of the sin offering which was for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.

¹ Eight days later, Moses/I summoned the elders of Israel.

² Then he/I said to Aaron, “Take a young bull for the offering to enable you leaders to be forgiven for the sins you have committed, and a ram to be completely burned on the altar, both of them without any defects, and offer them to Yahweh.

³ Then say to the Israeli people, ‘Take one male goat for the offering to enable you all to be forgiven for the sins you have committed. Also take a calf and a lamb that have no defects, to be an offering completely burned on the altar.

⁴ Also take an ox and a ram to be an offering to maintain fellowship with Yahweh, along with an offering of flour mixed with olive oil. Do this because today Yahweh is going to appear to you.’ ”

⁵ After Moses/I told this to the Israeli people, some of them took the things that Moses/I had commanded them to take, and went to the courtyard in front of the Sacred Tent. Then all the people came near and stood in front of Yahweh.

⁶ Then Moses/I said, “This is what Yahweh has commanded you to do, in order that his glory will appear to you.”

⁷ Then Moses/I said to Aaron, “Come to the altar and sacrifice the animal that is your offering to enable you to be forgiven for the sins you have committed, and the animal that will be completely burned there. Because of those offerings, God will forgive you and the people for the sins that you have committed DOU. Do those things that Yahweh has commanded.”

⁸ So Aaron came close to the altar and slaughtered the calf to be an offering for his sins.

⁹ His sons brought its blood to him in a bowl. He dipped his finger into the blood and put some of it on the projections at the corners of the altar. He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.

¹⁰ He/I burned the fat, including that which covered the kidneys and the liver, as Yahweh had commanded him/me.

¹¹ Then Aaron burned the rest of the meat and the hide/skin outside the camp.

¹² Then Aaron slaughtered the animal that would be completely burned on the altar. His sons handed him the bowl containing its blood, and he sprinkled the blood on all sides of the altar.

¹³ Then they handed him the head and the pieces of the animal that would be burned, and he burned them on the altar.

¹⁴ He washed the inner parts and the legs of the animal, and burned them on the altar, on top of the other pieces of the animal.

¹⁵ Then Aaron brought the animals that would be sacrifices for the Israeli people. He took the goat and slaughtered it to be an offering to enable them to be forgiven for the sins they had committed, like he had done with the goat for his own offering.

¹ And on the eighth day Moses sent for Aaron and his sons and the responsible men of Israel;

² And he said to Aaron, Take a young ox for a sin-offering and a male sheep for a burned offering, without a mark, and make an offering of them before the Lord.

³ And say to the children of Israel: Take a he-goat for a sin-offering, and a young ox and a lamb, in their first year, without any mark on them, for a burned offering;

⁴ And an ox and a male sheep for peace-offerings, to be put to death before the Lord; and a meal offering mixed with oil: for this day you are to see the Lord.

⁵ And they took the things ordered by Moses, before the Tent of meeting, and all the people came near, waiting before the Lord.

⁶ And Moses said, This is what the Lord has said you are to do; and you will see the glory of the Lord.

⁷ And Moses said to Aaron, Come near to the altar and make your sin-offering and your burned offering to take away your sin and the sin of the people, and make the people's offering to take away their sin; as the Lord has given orders.

⁸ So Aaron came near to the altar and put to death the ox for the sin-offering for himself;

⁹ And the sons of Aaron gave him the blood and he put his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar, draining out the blood at the base of the altar;

¹⁰ But the fat and the kidneys and the fat on the liver of the sin-offering were burned by him on the altar as the Lord gave orders to Moses.

¹¹ And the flesh and the skin were burned with fire outside the tent-circle;

¹² And he put to death the burned offering; and Aaron's sons gave him the blood and he put some of it on and round the altar;

¹³ And they gave him the parts of the burned offering, in their order, and the head, to be burned on the altar.

¹⁴ And the inside parts and the legs, when they had been washed with water, were burned on the burned offering on the altar.

¹⁵ And he made an offering for the people and took the goat of the sin-offering for the people and put it to death, offering it for sin, in the same way as the first.

¹ And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel,

² and said to Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering, without blemish, and present them before Jehovah;

³ and to the children of Israel shalt thou speak, saying, Take a buck of the goats for a sin-offering, and a calf and a lamb, yearlings, without blemish, for a burnt-offering;

⁴ and a bullock and a ram for a peace-offering, to sacrifice before Jehovah; and an oblation mingled with oil; for to-day Jehovah will appear to you.

⁵ And they brought what Moses commanded before the tent of meeting; and all the assembly approached and stood before Jehovah.

⁶ And Moses said, This is the thing which Jehovah has commanded that ye should do; and the glory of Jehovah shall appear to you.

⁷ And Moses said unto Aaron, Go to the altar, and offer thy sin-offering, and thy burnt-offering, and make atonement for thyself, and for the people; and offer the offering of the people, and make atonement for them, as Jehovah has commanded.

¹³ And they delivered the burnt-offering to him, in the pieces thereof, and the head; and he burned them on the altar.

¹⁴ And he washed the inwards and the legs, and burned them upon the burnt-offering, on the altar.

¹⁵ And he presented the people's offering, and took the goat of the sin-offering which was for the people and slaughtered it, and offered it for sin, as the first.

¹ And when the eighth day was come, Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the ancients of Israel, and said to Aaron:

² Take of the herd a calf for sin, and a ram for a holocaust, both without blemish, and offer them before the Lord.

³ And to the children of Israel thou shalt say: Take ye a he goat for sin, and a calf, and a lamb, both of a year old, and without blemish for a holocaust,

⁴ Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings: and immolate them before the Lord, offering for the sacrifice of every one of them flour tempered with oil; for today the Lord will appear to you.

⁵ They brought therefore all things that Moses had commanded before the door of the tabernacle: where when all the multitude stood,

⁶ Moses said: This is the word, which the Lord hath commanded: do it, and his glory will appear to you.

⁷ And he said to Aaron: Approach to the altar, and offer sacrifice for thy sin: offer the holocaust, and pray for thyself and for the people: and when thou hast slain the people’s victim, pray for them, as the Lord hath commanded.

⁸ And forthwith Aaron, approaching to the altar, immolated the calf for his sin:

⁹ And his sons brought him the blood of it: and he dipped his finger therein, and touched the horns of the altar, and poured the rest at the foot thereof.

¹⁰ And the fat, and the little kidneys, and the caul of the liver, which are for sin, he burnt upon the altar, as the Lord had commanded Moses:

¹¹ But the flesh and skins thereof he burnt with fire without the camp.

¹² He immolated also the victim of holocaust: and his sons brought him the blood thereof, which he poured round about on the altar.

¹³ And the victim being cut into pieces, they brought to him the head and all the members, all which he burnt with fire upon the altar,

¹⁴ Having first washed the entrails and the feet with water.

¹⁵ Then offering for the sin of the people, he slew the he goat: and expiating the altar,

¹ On the eighth day after the ordination Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel, to meet with him.

² He told Aaron, “You need to bring a young bull as a sin offering and a ram as a burnt offering, both without defects, and present them before the Lord.

³ Then tell the Israelites, ‘Bring the following offerings: a male goat as a sin offering; a calf and a lamb, (both a year old and without defects), for a burnt offering;

⁴ a bull and a ram as a peace offering to sacrifice before the Lord; and a grain offering mixed with olive oil. Do this because today the Lord is going to reveal himself to you today.’”

⁵ Following Moses' orders they brought what he'd said to the front of the Tent of Meeting. Everyone came and stood before the Lord.

⁶ Moses said, “This is what the Lord ordered me to tell you to do, so that you may see his glory.”

⁷ Then Moses told Aaron, “Go to the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering to make you and the people right. Then sacrifice the offerings brought by the people as a means to make them right, as the Lord ordered.”

⁸ So Aaron went to the altar and killed the calf as a sin offering for himself.

⁹ His sons brought the blood to him. He dipped his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar. He poured out the rest of the blood at the bottom of the altar.

¹⁰ He burned the fat, the kidneys, and the best part of the liver from the sin offering on the altar, as the Lord had ordered Moses to do.

¹¹ However, he burned up the meat and the skin outside the camp.

¹² Aaron killed the burnt offering. His sons brought him the blood, and he sprinkled it on the sides of the altar.

¹³ They brought him the head and all the other pieces of the burnt offering, and he burned them on the altar.

¹⁴ He washed the insides and the legs and burned them with the rest of the burnt offering on the altar.

¹⁵ Then Aaron presented the offerings of the people. He killed the male goat as the sin offering for the people, and offered it in the same way as his own sin offering.

¹ And in the eight day Moses called Aaron and his sonnes, and the Elders of Israel:

² Then hee sayde vnto Aaron, Take thee a yong calfe for a sinne offring, and a ram for a burnt offring, both without blemish, and bring them before the Lord.

³ And vnto the children of Israel thou shalt speake, saying, Take yee an hee goate for a sinne offring, and a calfe, and a lambe, both of a yeere olde, without blemish for a burnt offring:

⁴ Also a bullock, and a ramme for peace offringes, to offer before the Lord, and a meate offring mingled with oyle: for to day the Lord will appeare vnto you.

⁵ Then they brought that which Moses commanded before the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and all the assembly drewe neere and stood before the Lord.

⁶ (For Moses had sayde, This is the thing, which the Lord commanded that ye should do, and the glory of the Lord shall appeare vnto you)

⁷ Then Moses sayd vnto Aaron, Draw neere to the Altar, and offer thy sinne offering, and thy burnt offring, and make an attonement for thee and for the people: offer also the offring of the people, and make an atonement for them, as the Lord hath commanded.

⁸ Aaron therefore went vnto the Altar, and killed the calfe of the sinne offring, which was for himselfe.

⁹ And the sonnes of Aaron brought ye blood vnto him, and he dipt his finger in the blood, and put it vpon the hornes of the Altar, and powred the rest of the blood at the foote of the Altar.

¹⁰ But the fat and the kidneis and the kall of the liuer of the sinne offring, he burnt vpon the Altar, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

¹¹ The flesh also and the hide hee burnt with fire without the hoste.

¹² After, he slewe the burnt offering, and Aarons sonnes brought vnto him the blood, which he sprinckled round about vpon the Altar.

¹³ Also they brought the burnt offring vnto him with the pieces thereof, and the head, and he burnt them vpon the Altar.

¹⁴ Likewise he did wash the inwardes and the legs, and burnt them vpon the burnt offring on the Altar.

¹⁵ Then he offred the peoples offring, and tooke a goate, which was the sinne offring for the people, and slewe it: and offred it for sinne, as the first:

¹ And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

² and he said unto Aaron: 'Take thee a bull-calf for a sin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.

³ And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying: Take ye a he-goat for a sin-offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt-offering;

⁴ and an ox and a ram for peace-offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meal-offering mingled with oil; for to-day the LORD appeareth unto you.'

⁵ And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tent of meeting; and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.

⁶ And Moses said: 'This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do; that the glory of the LORD may appear unto you.'

⁷ And Moses said unto Aaron: 'Draw near unto the altar, and offer thy sin-offering, and thy burnt-offering, and make atonement for thyself, and for the people; and present the offering of the people, and make atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.'

⁸ So Aaron drew near unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin-offering, which was for himself.

⁹ And the sons of Aaron presented the blood unto him; and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar.

¹⁰ But the fat, and the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver of the sin-offering, he made smoke upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses.

¹¹ And the flesh and the skin were burnt with fire without the camp.

¹² And he slew the burnt-offering; and Aaron's sons delivered unto him the blood, and he dashed it against the altar round about.

¹³ And they delivered the burnt-offering unto him, piece by piece, and the head; and he made them smoke upon the altar.

¹⁴ And he washed the inwards and the legs, and made them smoke upon the burnt-offering on the altar.

¹⁵ And the people's offering was presented; and he took the goat of the sin-offering which was for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.

¹ And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

² and he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the Lord.

³ And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering;

⁴ also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the Lord; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the Lord will appear unto you.

⁶ And Moses said, This thing which the Lord hath commanded shall ye do: and then will the glory of the Lord appear unto you.

⁷ And Moses said unto Aaron, Draw near unto the altar, and prepare thy sin-offering, and thy burnt-offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people; and prepare the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the Lord hath commanded.

⁸ And Aaron drew near unto the altar; and he slew the calf of the sin-offering, which was for himself.

⁹ And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him; and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar; and the remaining blood he poured out at the bottom of the altar.

¹⁰ And the fat, and the kidneys, and the midriff from the liver of the sin-offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the Lord had commanded Moses.

¹¹ And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire without the camp.

¹² And he slew the burnt-offering; and the sons of Aaron presented unto him the blood, and he sprinkled it upon the altar round about.

¹³ And the burnt-offering they presented unto him, in its proper pieces, together with the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.

¹⁴ And he washed the inwards and the legs; and he burnt them upon the burnt-offering on the altar.

¹⁵ And he brought near the people's offering; and he took the goat of the sin-offering which belonged to the people, and slew it, and made atonement with its blood, as the first.

¹ And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel,

² and Moses said to Aaron, Take to thyself a young calf of the herd for a sin offering, and a ram for a whole burnt offering, unblemished, and offer them before the Lord.

³ And speak to the elders of Israel, saying, Take one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and a young calf, and a lamb of a year old for a whole burnt offering, spotless,

⁴ and a calf and a ram for a peace offering before the Lord, and fine flour mingled with oil, for today the Lord will appear among you.

⁵ And they took as Moses commanded them before the tabernacle of witness, and all the congregation drew nigh, and they stood before the Lord.

⁶ And Moses said, This is the thing which the Lord has spoken; do it, and the glory of the Lord shall appear among you.

⁷ And Moses said to Aaron, Draw nigh to the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy whole burnt offering, and make atonement for thyself, and for thy house; and offer the gifts of the people, and make atonement for them, as the Lord commanded Moses.

⁸ And Aaron drew nigh to the altar, and slew the calf of his sin offering.

⁹ And the sons of Aaron brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger into the blood, and put it on the horns of the altar, and he poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar.

¹⁰ And he offered up on the altar the fat and the kidneys and the lobe of the liver of the sin offering, according as the Lord commanded Moses.

¹¹ And the flesh and the hide he burned with fire outside of the camp.

¹² And he slew the whole burnt offering; and the sons of Aaron brought the blood to him, and he poured it on the altar round about.

¹³ And they brought the whole burnt offering, according to its pieces; them and the head he put upon the altar.

¹⁴ And he washed the belly and the feet with water, and he put them on the whole burnt offering on the altar.

¹⁵ And he brought the gift of the people, and took the goat of the sin offering of the people, and slew it, and purified it as also the first.

¹ And on the eighth day Mosheh called Aharon and his sons and the elders of Israel.

² And he said unto Aharon, Take to thee a calf, a young bullock from the herd, for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering unblemished, and offer before the Lord.

³ And with the sons of Israel he spake, saying, Take a kid of the goats for a sin offering, and a calf, and a lamb of the year, unblemished, for a burnt offering,

⁴ To sacrifice before the Lord; and a mincha of flour sprinkled with oil: for this day will the glory of the Lord be revealed to you.

⁵ And what Mosheh had commanded they brought before the tabernacle of ordinance, and all the congregation approached and stood before the Lord.

⁶ And Mosheh said, This is the thing that the Lord hath commanded to be done, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed to you.

⁷ And Mosheh said to Aharon, Approach the altar, and make thy sin offering and thy burnt sacrifice, and make atonement for thyself and for the people, and perform the oblation of the people, and make atonement for them, as the Lord commanded.

⁸ And Aharon drew near to the altar, and slew the calf for the sin offering for himself.

⁹ And the sons of Aharon brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar.

¹⁰ But the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul of the liver of the sin offering he burned at the altar, as the Lord commanded Mosheh.

¹¹ And the flesh and the skin he burned in the fire without the camp.

¹² And he killed the whole burnt offering; and the sons of Aharon brought the blood to him, and he sprinkled it upon the altar round about.

¹³ And they brought to him the whole burnt offering by its members with the head, and he burned upon the altar.

¹⁴ And he washed the inwards and the legs, and burned with the offering at the altar.

¹⁵ And he brought the oblation of the people, and took the kid for the sin offering of the people, and killed it, and made atonement with its blood, as before.

¹ On the eighth day, Moses Drawn out called Aaron Light-bringer and his sons, and the elders of Israel God prevails;

² and he said to Aaron Light-bringer, “Take a calf from the herd for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without defect, and offer them before Adonai .

³ You shall speak to the children of Israel God prevails, saying, ‘Take a male goat for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both a year old, without defect, for a burnt offering;

⁴ and a bull and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before Adonai ; and a meal offering mixed with oil: for today Adonai appears to you.’”

⁵ They brought what Moses Drawn out enjoined before the Tent of Meeting: and all the congregation came near and stood before Adonai .

⁶ Moses Drawn out said, “This is the thing which Adonai enjoined that you should do: and the kavod Yahweh ·weighty glory of He sustains breathing· shall appear to you.”

⁷ Moses Drawn out said to Aaron Light-bringer, “Draw near to the altar, and offer your sin offering, and your burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself, and for the people; and offer the offering of the people, and make atonement for them; as Adonai enjoined.”

⁸ So Aaron Light-bringer came near to the altar, and killed the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.

⁹ The sons of Aaron Light-bringer presented the blood to him; and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it on the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar:

¹⁰ but the fat, and the kidneys, and the cover from the liver of the sin offering, he burned upon the altar; as Adonai enjoined Moses Drawn out.

¹¹ The meat and the skin he burned with fire outside the camp.

¹² He killed the burnt offering; and Aaron Light-bringer’s sons delivered the blood to him, and he sprinkled it around on the altar.

¹³ They delivered the burnt offering to him, piece by piece, and the head: and he burned them upon the altar.

¹⁴ He washed the innards and the legs, and burned them on the burnt offering on the altar.

¹⁵ He presented the people’s offering, and took the goat of the sin offering which was for the people, and killed it, and offered it for sin, like the first.

¹ On the eighth day Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel.

² He said to Aaron, “Take a calf from the herd for a sin offering, and a ram without blemish for a burnt offering, and offer them before Yahweh.

³ You must speak to the people of Israel and say, 'Take a male goat for a sin offering and a calf and a lamb, both a year old and without blemish, for a burnt offering;

⁴ also take an ox and a ram for peace offerings to sacrifice before Yahweh, and a grain offering mixed with oil, because today Yahweh will appear to you.'”

⁵ So they brought all that Moses commanded to the tent of meeting, and all the assembly of Israel approached and stood before Yahweh.

⁶ Then Moses said, “This is what Yahweh commanded you to do, so that his glory may appear to you.”

¹⁰ However, he burned the fat, the kidneys, and the covering of the liver on the altar as a sin offering, as Yahweh had commanded Moses.

¹¹ The meat and the hide he burned outside the camp.

¹² Aaron killed the burnt offering, and his sons gave him the blood, which he splashed against every side of the altar.

¹³ Then they gave him the burnt offering, piece by piece, together with the head, and he burned them on the altar.

¹⁴ He washed the inner parts and the legs and burned them on top of the burnt offering on the altar.

¹⁵ Aaron presented the people's sacrifice—a goat, then took it as the sacrifice for their sin and killed it; he sacrificed it for sin, as he had done with the first goat.

¹ On the eighth day, Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

² and he said to Aaron, “Take a calf from the herd for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without defect, and offer them before Yahweh.

³ You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Take a male goat for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both a year old, without defect, for a burnt offering;

⁴ and a bull and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before Yahweh; and a meal offering mixed with oil: for today Yahweh appears to you.’”

¹⁰ but the fat, and the kidneys, and the cover from the liver of the sin offering, he burned upon the altar, as the LORD commanded Moses.

¹¹ The meat and the skin he burned with fire outside the camp.

¹² He killed the burnt offering; and Aaron’s sons delivered the blood to him, and he sprinkled it around on the altar.

¹³ They delivered the burnt offering to him, piece by piece, and the head. He burned them upon the altar.

¹⁴ He washed the innards and the legs, and burned them on the burnt offering on the altar.

¹⁵ He presented the people’s offering, and took the goat of the sin offering which was for the people, and killed it, and offered it for sin, like the first.

¹ On the eighth day, Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

² and he said to Aaron, “Take a calf from the herd for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without defect, and offer them before the LORD.

³ You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Take a male goat for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both a year old, without defect, for a burnt offering;

⁴ and a bull and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meal offering mixed with oil: for today the LORD appears to you.’”

⁵ They brought what Moses commanded before the Tent of Meeting. All the congregation came near and stood before the LORD.

⁶ Moses said, “This is the thing which the LORD commanded that you should do; and the LORD’s glory shall appear to you.”

⁷ Moses said to Aaron, “Draw near to the altar, and offer your sin offering, and your burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself, and for the people; and offer the offering of the people, and make atonement for them, as the LORD commanded.”

⁸ So Aaron came near to the altar, and killed the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.

⁹ The sons of Aaron presented the blood to him; and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it on the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar;

³ And thou shalt speak to the sons of Israel, Take ye a buck of goats for sin, and a calf, and a lamb, of one year, and without wem, into burnt sacrifice,

⁴ an ox and a ram for peaceable things; and offer ye them before the Lord, and offer ye tried wheat flour sprinkled with oil in the sacrifice of each of them; for today the Lord shall appear to you.

⁵ Therefore they took all things, which Moses commanded, to the door of the tabernacle, where, when all the multitude stood,

⁶ Moses said, This is the word which the Lord commanded, do ye it, and his glory shall appear to you.

⁷ And Moses said to Aaron, Nigh thou to the altar, and offer thou for thy sin; offer thou burnt sacrifice, and pray for thee, and for the people; and when thou hast slain the sacrifice of the people, pray thou for them, as the Lord commanded.

⁸ And anon Aaron nighed to the altar, and offered a calf for his sin;

⁹ whose blood his sons offered, or brought, to him, in which blood Aaron dipped his finger, and he touched the horns of the altar, and he poured the blood that was left at the foundament of the altar;

¹⁰ and he burnt upon the altar the inner fatness, and the little reins, and the caul of the maw, as the Lord commanded to Moses.

¹¹ Forsooth Aaron burnt with fire without the tents the flesh and the skin thereof.

¹² And he offered the beast of burnt sacrifice, and his sons brought to him the blood thereof, which he shedded or poured by compass of the altar;

¹³ they offered also that sacrifice cut into gobbets, with the head, and all the members; and he burnt by fire all these things upon the altar,

¹⁴ when the entrails and the feet were washed before with water.

¹⁵ And he offered and killed a buck of goats, for the sin of the people; and when the altar was cleansed, he made burnt sacrifice,

³ And thou shalt speak to the sons of Israel, Take ye a buck of goats for sin, and a calf, and a lamb, (both) of one year, and without wem, into burnt sacrifice, (And thou shalt say to the Israelites, Take ye a goat buck for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both of one year, and without blemish, for a burnt sacrifice,)

⁴ (and) an ox and a ram for peaceable things; and offer ye them before the Lord, and offer ye tried wheat flour sprinkled with oil in the sacrifice of each of them; for today the Lord shall appear to you. (and an ox and a ram for peace offerings; and offer ye them before the Lord, and offer ye fine wheat flour sprinkled with oil along with each offering; for today the Lord shall appear to you.)

⁵ Therefore they took all things, which Moses commanded, to the door of the tabernacle, where, when all the multitude stood, (And so they took all these things, which Moses commanded, to the entrance of the Tabernacle, where, when all the multitude stood,)

⁶ Moses said, This is the word which the Lord commanded (or This is what the Lord commanded), do ye it, and his glory shall appear to you.

⁷ And Moses said to Aaron, Nigh thou to the altar, and offer thou for thy sin; offer thou burnt sacrifice, and pray for thee, and for the people; and when thou hast slain the sacrifice of the people, pray thou for them, as the Lord commanded. (And Moses said to Aaron, Approach thou to the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt sacrifice, and pray for thyself, and for the people; and when thou hast killed the offering for the people, pray thou for them, as the Lord commanded.)

⁸ And anon Aaron nighed to the altar, and offered a calf for his sin; (And at once Aaron approached the altar, and offered a calf for his own sin offering;)

⁹ whose blood his sons offered, or brought, to him, in which blood Aaron dipped his finger, and he touched the horns of the altar, and he poured the blood that was left at the foundament of the altar, (or and he poured out the blood that was left at the foundation, or at the base, of the altar);

¹⁰ and he burnt upon the altar the inner fatness, and the little reins, and the caul of the maw, (for the sin offering), as the Lord commanded to Moses.

¹¹ Forsooth Aaron burnt with fire without the tents the flesh and the skin thereof. (But Aaron burned its flesh and its skin away from the tents.)

¹² And he offered the beast of burnt sacrifice, and his sons brought to him the blood thereof, which he shedded by compass of the altar; (And then he offered the beast for the burnt sacrifice, and his sons brought him its blood, which he threw against all the sides of the altar;)

¹³ they offered also that sacrifice cut into gobbets, with the head, and all the members; and he burnt by fire all these things upon the altar, (and they gave him the offering cut into pieces, with the head, and all its members; and he burned all these things on the altar,)

¹⁴ when the entrails and the feet were washed before with water. (and when the innards and the feet were washed in water, they were also burned, on top of the burnt sacrifice.)

¹⁵ And he offered and killed a buck of goats, for the sin of the people, (or And then he brought forth and offered a goat buck, for the people’s sin offering); and when the altar was cleansed, he made (the) burnt sacrifice,

¹ Forsothe whanne the eiytithe dai was maad, Moises clepide Aaron, and hise sones, and the grettere men in birthe of Israel;

² and he seide to Aaron, Take thou of the droue a calf for synne, and a ram `in to brent sacrifice, euer either with oute wem, and offre tho bifor the Lord.

³ And thou schalt speke to the sones of Israel, Take ye a buk of geet for synne, and a calf, and a lomb of o yeer and with out wem,

⁴ in to brent sacrifice, an oxe and a ram for pesible thingis; and offre ye tho bifor the Lord, and offre ye whete flour spreynt with oile in the sacrifice of ech; for to dai the Lord schal appere to you.

⁵ Therfor thei token alle thingis, whiche Moises comaundide, to the dore of the tabernacle, where, whanne al the multitude stood,

⁶ Moises seide, This is the word, which the Lord comaundide, do ye, and his glorie schal appere to you.

⁷ And Moises seide to Aaron, Neiye thou to the auter, and offre thou for thi synne; offre thou brent sacrifice, and preye for thee, and for the puple; and whanne thou hast slayn the sacrifice of the puple, preye thou for hem, as the Lord comaundide.

⁸ And anoon Aaron neiyede to the auter, and offride a calf for his synne;

⁹ whos blood hise sones offriden to him, in which blood he dippide the fyngur, and touchide the hornes of the auter, and schedde the residue at the foundement therof;

¹⁰ and he brente on the auter the ynnere fatnesse, and litle reynes, and the calle of the mawe, as the Lord comaundide to Moises.

¹¹ Forsothe he brente bi fier without the castels the fleischis and skyn therof.

¹² And he offride the beeste of brent sacrifice, and hise sones offriden to hym the blood therof, which he schedde bi the cumpas of the auter;

¹³ thei offriden also thilke sacrifice kit in to gobetis, with the heed, and alle membris; and he brente bi fier alle these thingis on the auter,

¹⁴ whanne the entrailis and feet weren waischun bifor with watir.

¹⁵ And he offride and killide a buk of geet, for the synne of the puple; and whanne the auter was clensid,

¹ And it cometh to pass on the eighth day, Moses hath called for Aaron and for his sons, and for the elders of Israel,

² and he saith unto Aaron, 'Take to thyself a calf, a son of the herd, for a sin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering, perfect ones, and bring near before Jehovah.

³ 'And unto the sons of Israel thou dost speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin-offering, and a calf, and a lamb, sons of a year, perfect ones, for a burnt-offering,

⁴ and a bullock and a ram for peace-offerings, to sacrifice before Jehovah, and a present mixed with oil; for to-day Jehovah hath appeared unto you.'

⁵ And they take that which Moses hath commanded unto the front of the tent of meeting, and all the company draw near and stand before Jehovah;

⁶ and Moses saith, 'This is the thing which Jehovah hath commanded; do it, and the honour of Jehovah doth appear unto you.'

⁷ And Moses saith unto Aaron, 'Draw near unto the altar, and make thy sin-offering, and thy burnt-offering, and make atonement for thyself, and for the people, and make the offering of the people, and make atonement for them, as Jehovah hath commanded.'

⁸ And Aaron draweth near unto the altar, and slaughtereth the calf of the sin-offering, which is for himself;

⁹ and the sons of Aaron bring the blood near unto him, and he dippeth his finger in the blood, and putteth it on the horns of the altar, and the blood he hath poured out at the foundation of the altar;

¹⁰ and the fat, and the kidneys, and the redundance of the liver, of the sin-offering, he hath made a perfume on the altar, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses;

¹¹ and the flesh and the skin he hath burnt with fire, at the outside of the camp.

¹² And he slaughtereth the burnt-offering, and the sons of Aaron have presented unto him the blood, and he sprinkleth it on the altar round about;

¹³ and the burnt-offering they have presented unto him, by its pieces, and the head, and he maketh perfume on the altar;

¹⁴ and he washeth the inwards and the legs, and maketh perfume for the burnt-offering on the altar.

¹⁵ And he bringeth near the offering of the people, and taketh the goat of the sin-offering which is for the people, and slaughtered it, and maketh it a sin-offering, like the first;
