Leviticus 7:1-9 in English

¹ And this is the law of the trespass-offering: it is most holy.

² In the place where they kill the burnt-offering shall they kill the trespass-offering; and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle upon the altar round about.

³ And he shall offer of it all the fat thereof: the fat tail, and the fat that covereth the inwards,

⁴ and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the caul upon the liver, with the kidneys, shall he take away;

⁵ and the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering made by fire unto Jehovah: it is a trespass-offering.

⁶ Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in a holy place: it is most holy.

⁷ As is the sin-offering, so is the trespass-offering; there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith, he shall have it.

⁸ And the priest that offereth any man’s burnt-offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt-offering which he hath offered.

⁹ And every meal-offering that is baken in the oven, and all that is dressed in the frying-pan, and on the baking-pan, shall be the priest’s that offereth it.

¹ And this is the law of the ram for the trespass-offering; it is most holy.

² In the place where they slay the whole-burnt-offering, they shall slay the ram of the trespass-offering before the Lord, and he shall pour out the blood at the bottom of the altar round about.

³ And he shall offer all the fat from it; and the loins, and all the fat that covers the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,

⁴ and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, that which is upon the thighs, and the caul upon the liver with the kidneys, he shall take them away.

⁵ And the priest shall offer them on the altar a burnt-offering to the Lord; it is for trespass.

⁶ Every male of the priests shall eat them, in the holy place they shall eat them: they are most holy.

⁷ As the sin-offering, so also is the trespass-offering. There is one law of them; the priest who shall make atonement with it, his it shall be.

⁸ And as for the priest who offers a man's whole-burnt-offering, the skin of the whole-burnt-offering which he offers, shall be his.

⁹ And every sacrifice which shall be prepared in the oven, and every one which shall be prepared on the hearth, or on a frying-pan, it is the property of the priest that offers it; it shall be his.

³ With leavened bread he shall offer his gifts, with the peace-offering of praise.

⁴ And he shall bring one of all his gifts, a separate offering to the Lord: it shall belong to the priest who pours forth the blood of the peace-offering.

⁵ And the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace-offering of praise shall be his, and it shall be eaten in the day in which it is offered: they shall not leave of it till the morning.

⁶ And if it be a vow, or he offer his gift of his own will, on whatever day he shall offer his sacrifice, it shall be eaten, and on the morrow.

⁷ And that which is left of the flesh of the sacrifice till the third day, shall be consumed with fire.

⁸ And if he do at all eat of the flesh on the third day, it shall not be accepted for him that offers: it shall not be reckoned to him, it is pollution; and whatever soul shall eat of it, shall bear his iniquity.

⁹ And whatever flesh shall have touched any unclean thing, it shall not be eaten, it shall be consumed with fire; every one that is clean shall eat the flesh.

¹ And this is the law of the guilt offering: it is most holy.

² In the place where they kill the burnt offering shall they kill the guilt offering: and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle upon the altar round about.

³ And he shall offer of it all the fat thereof; the fat tail, and the fat that covereth the inwards,

⁴ and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the caul upon the liver, with the kidneys, shall he take away:

⁵ and the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a guilt offering.

⁶ Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in a holy place: it is most holy.

⁷ As is the sin offering, so is the guilt offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith, he shall have it.

⁸ And the priest that offereth any man’s burnt offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt offering which he hath offered.

⁹ And every meal offering that is baken in the oven, and all that is dressed in the frying pan, and on the baking pan, shall be the priest’s that offereth it.

¹ “These are the regulations concerning the offerings to be made by people who are guilty of not giving to me the things that are required to be given to me. Those are very sacred offerings.

² Each animal that is to be offered by such people must be slaughtered in the same place where the animals that will be completely burned on the altar are slaughtered, and their blood must be sprinkled against all sides of the altar.

³ All their fat, the fat tails that are cut close to the backbone, and all the fat that covers the inner parts of the animals or which is attached to them, must be burned on the altar.

⁴ That includes the kidneys with their fat near the lower back muscle, and the protruding lobe that is attached to the liver.

⁵ The priest must burn them on the altar to be offerings to me, Yahweh. They are an offering for the people to be forgiven for not doing what they were required to do.

⁶ All the males in the priest's family are permitted to eat its meat, but it must be eaten in a sacred place, because it is very sacred.

⁷ The regulation is the same for the offerings to enable people to be forgiven for the sins they have committed and the offerings for when they are guilty of not giving to me the things that are required to be given to me. The meat of those offerings belongs to the priest who offers them in order that the people will be forgiven.

⁸ The priest who slaughters an animal that will be completely burned on the altar is permitted to keep the animal's hide for himself.

⁹ Offerings of things made from grain that are baked in an oven or cooked in a pan or ◄in a shallow pan/on a griddle► belong to the priest who makes those offerings for another person.

¹ This is the law of the sacrifice of peace-offering, which they shall bring to the Lord.

² They are to put to death the offering for wrongdoing in the same place as the burned offering; and the priest is to put the blood on and round the altar.

³ And all the fat of it, the fat tail and the fat covering the inside parts, is to be given as an offering.

⁴ And the two kidneys, and the fat on them, which is by the top of the legs, and the fat joining the liver and the kidneys, he is to take away:

⁵ They are to be burned by the priest on the altar for an offering made by fire to the Lord: it is an offering for wrongdoing.

⁶ Every male among the priests may have it as food in a holy place: it is most holy.

⁷ As is the sin-offering, so is the offering for wrongdoing; there is one law for them: the priest who makes the offering to take away sin, he is to have it.

⁸ And the priest offering any man's burned offering for him, may have the skin of the burned offering which is offered by him.

⁹ And every meal offering which is cooked in the oven and everything made in a cooking pot or on a flat plate, is for the priest by whom it is offered.

¹ And this is the law of the trespass-offering — it is most holy:

² in the place where they slaughter the burnt-offering shall they slaughter the trespass-offering; and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle on the altar round about.

³ And he shall present of it all the fat thereof; the fat tail and the fat that covereth the inwards,

⁴ and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the net above the liver, which he shall take away as far as the kidneys.

⁵ And the priest shall burn them on the altar, an offering by fire to Jehovah: it is a trespass-offering.

⁶ Every male among the priests shall eat thereof; in a holy place shall it be eaten: it is most holy.

⁷ As the sin-offering, so is the trespass-offering; there shall be one law for them: it shall be the priest's who maketh atonement therewith.

⁸ And as to the priest that presenteth any man's burnt-offering, the skin of the burnt-offering which he hath presented shall be the priest's for himself.

⁹ And every oblation that is baken in the oven, and all that is prepared in the cauldron and in the pan, shall be the priest's who offereth it; to him it shall belong.

¹ This also is the law of the sacrifice for a trespass, it is most holy:

² Therefore where the holocaust is immolated, the victim also for a trespass shall be slain: the blood thereof shall be poured round about the altar.

³ They shall offer thereof the rump and the fat that covereth the entrails:

⁴ The two little kidneys, and the fat which is by the flanks, and the caul of the liver with the little kidneys.

⁵ And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the burnt sacrifice of the Lord for a trespass.

⁶ Every male of the priestly race, shall eat this flesh in a holy place, because it is most holy.

⁷ As the sacrifice for sin is offered, so is also that for a trespass: the same shall be the law of both these sacrifices: it shall belong to the priest that offereth it.

⁸ The priest that offereth the victim of holocaust, shall have the skin thereof.

⁹ And every sacrifice of flour that is baked in the oven, and whatsoever is dressed on the gridiron, or in the fryingpan, shall be the priest’s that offereth it:

¹ “These are the regulations for the guilt offering, it is most holy.

² The guilt offering is to be killed where the burnt offering is killed, and the priest shall sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar.

³ All the fat from it shall be offered: the fat tail, the fat that covers the insides,

⁴ both kidneys with the fat on them by the loins, and the best part of the liver, which the priest is to remove together with the kidneys.

⁵ He shall burn them on the altar as a food offering to the Lord; it is a guilt offering.

⁶ Any male among the priests may eat it. It must be eaten in a holy place, it is most holy.

⁷ The guilt offering is like the sin offering; the regulations are the same for both. The priest who presents the offering that ‘makes things right’ is to have it.

⁸ In the case of ordinary burnt offerings, the priest shall have the animal's skin.

⁹ In the same way all grain offerings that are baked in an oven or cooked in a pan or on a griddle is for the priest who presents it,

³ All the fat thereof also shall he offer, the rumpe, and the fat that couereth the inwardes.

⁴ After he shall take away the two kidneis, with the fat that is on them and vpon the flankes, and the kall on the liuer with the kidneis.

⁵ Then the Priest shall burne them vpon the altar, for an offring made by fire vnto the Lord: this is a trespasse offring.

⁶ All the males among the Priestes shall eate thereof, it shalbe eaten in the holy place, for it is most holy.

⁷ As the sinne offring is, so is the trespasse offring, one lawe serueth for both: that wherewith the Priest shall make atonement, shalbe his.

⁸ Also the Priest that offereth any mans burnt offring, shall haue the skinne of the burnt offring which he hath offered.

⁹ And all the meate offring that is baken in the ouen, and that is dressed in the pan, and in the frying pan, shall be the Priestes that offereth it.

¹ And this is the law of the guilt-offering: it is most holy.

² In the place where they kill the burnt-offering shall they kill the guilt-offering: and the blood thereof shall be dashed against the altar round about.

³ And he shall offer of it all the fat thereof: the fat tail, and the fat that covereth the inwards,

⁴ and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the lobe above the liver, which he shall take away by the kidneys.

⁵ And the priest shall make them smoke upon the altar for an offering made by fire unto the LORD; it is a guilt-offering.

⁶ Every male among the priests may eat thereof; it shall be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy.

⁷ As is the sin-offering, so is the guilt-offering; there is one law for them; the priest that maketh atonement therewith, he shall have it.

⁸ And the priest that offereth any man's burnt-offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt-offering which he hath offered.

⁹ And every meal-offering that is baked in the oven, and all that is dressed in the stewing-pan, and on the griddle, shall be the priest's that offereth it.

⁸ And the priest that offereth any man's burnt-offering,—the skin of the burnt-offering which he hath offered shall belong to this priest alone.

⁹ And every meat-offering that is baked in the oven, and all that is dressed in the deep pan, and in the flat pan, shall belong to the priest that offereth it alone.

⁸ And when the priest offereth a man’s burnt sacrifice, the skin of the sacrifice that he priest offereth shall be his.

⁹ And every mincha that is baken in the oven, or made in the pan, or upon the baking pan, to the priest who offereth it shall it belong.

⁹ Every meal offering that is baked in the oven, and all that is dressed in the pan, and on the griddle, shall be the priest’s who offers it.

¹ This is the law of the guilt offering. It is most holy.

² They must kill the guilt offering in the place for killing it, and they must sprinkle its blood against every side of the altar.

³ All the fat in it will be offered: the fat tail, the fat that is over the inner parts,

⁴ the two kidneys and the fat on them, which is next to the loins, and what covers the liver, with the kidneys—all this must be removed.

⁵ The priest must burn these parts on the altar as an offering made with fire to Yahweh. This is the guilt offering.

⁶ Every male among the priests may eat part of this offering. It must be eaten in a holy place because it is most holy.

⁷ The sin offering is like the guilt offering. The same law applies to both of them. They belong to the priest who makes atonement with them.

⁸ The priest who offers anyone's burnt offering may have for himself the hide of that offering.

⁹ Every grain offering that is baked in an oven, and every such offering that is cooked in a frying pan or in a baking pan will belong to the priest who offers it.

³ And he shall offer of it all its fat; the rump, and the fat that covereth the inwards,

⁴ And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the caul that is above the liver, with the kidneys, that shall he take away:

⁵ And the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering made by fire to the LORD: it is a trespass-offering.

⁶ Every male among the priests shall eat of it: it shall be eaten in the holy place: it is most holy.

⁷ As the sin-offering is , so is the trespass-offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement with it shall have it .

⁸ And the priest that offereth any man's burnt-offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt-offering which he hath offered.

⁹ And all the meat-offering that is baked in the oven, and all that is dressed in the frying-pan, and in the pan, shall be the priest's that offereth it.

⁴ the two little reins, and the fatness which is beside the ileum, and the caul of the maw, with the little reins.

⁵ And the priest shall burn those or them on the altar; it is incense of the Lord, for trespass.

⁶ Each male of the priests’ kin shall eat these fleshes in the holy place, for it is holy of holy things.

⁷ As a sacrifice is offered for sin, so and for trespass, one law shall be of ever either sacrifice; it shall pertain to the priest, that offereth it.

⁸ The priest that offereth the beast of burnt sacrifice shall have the skin thereof.

⁹ And each sacrifice of tried wheat flour, that is baked in an oven, and whatever is made ready in a griddle, either in a frying pan, it shall be that priest’s, of whom it is offered,

¹ And this is the law of sacrifice for trespass; it is holy of holy things. (And this is the law for the trespass offering; it is a most holy, or sacred, thing.)

² Therefore where burnt sacrifice is offered, also the sacrifice for trespass shall be slain; the blood thereof shall be shed by compass of the altar. (The trespass offering shall be killed in the same place, where the burnt sacrifice is killed; and its blood shall be thrown against all the sides of the altar.)

⁷ As a sacrifice is offered for sin, so and for trespass, one law shall be of ever either sacrifice; it shall pertain to the priest, that offereth it. (As for the sin offering, so for the trespass offering, yea, one law shall be for both offerings; and it shall belong to the priest who offereth it.)

⁸ The priest that offereth the beast of (a) burnt sacrifice shall have the skin thereof.

⁹ And each sacrifice of tried wheat flour, that is baken in an oven, and whatever is made ready in a griddle, either in a frying pan, it shall be that priest’s, of whom it is offered, (And each offering of fine wheat flour, that is baked in an oven, or is cooked in a frying pan, or on a griddle, shall be the priest’s, who offered it.)

¹ And this is the lawe of sacrifice for trespas; it is hooli `of the noumbre of hooli thingis.

² Therfor where brent sacrifice is offrid, also the sacrifice for trespas schal be slayn; the blood therof schal be sched bi the cumpas of the auter.

³ Thei schulen offre the tail therof, and the fatnesse that hilith the entrailis,

⁴ the twei litle reynes, and the fatnesse which is bisidis ilioun, and the calle of the mawe, with the litle reynes.

⁵ And the preest schal brenne tho on the auter; it is encense of the Lord, for trespas.

⁶ Ech male of the preestis kyn schal ete these fleischis in the hooli place, for it is hooli `of the noumbre of hooli thingis.

⁷ As a sacrifice is offrid for synne, so and for trespas, o lawe schal be of euer eithir sacrifice; it schal perteyne to the preest, that offrith it.

⁸ The preest that offrith the beeste of brent sacrifice, schal haue the skyn therof.

⁹ And ech sacrifice of wheete flour, which is bakun in an ouene, and what euer is maad redi in a gridile, ethir in a friyng panne, it schal be that preestis, of whom it is offrid,

¹ 'And this is a law of the guilt-offering: it is most holy;

² in the place where they slaughter the burnt-offering they do slaughter the guilt-offering, and its blood one doth sprinkle on the altar round about,

³ and all its fat he bringeth near out of it, the fat tail, and the fat which is covering the inwards,

⁴ and the two kidneys, and the fat which is on them, which is on the flanks, and the redundance above the liver (beside the kidneys he doth turn it aside);

⁵ and the priest hath made them a perfume on the altar, a fire-offering to Jehovah; it is a guilt-offering.

⁶ 'Every male among the priests doth eat it; in the holy place it is eaten — it is most holy;

⁷ as is a sin-offering, so is a guilt-offering; one law is for them; the priest who maketh atonement by it — it is his.

⁸ 'And the priest who is bringing near any man's burnt-offering, the skin of the burnt-offering which he hath brought near, it is the priest's, his own;

⁹ and every present which is baked in an oven, and every one done in a frying-pan, and on a girdel, is the priest's who is bringing it near; it is his;
