Leviticus 27:17-22 in English

¹⁷ If he sanctify his field from the year of jubilee, according to thy estimation it shall stand.

¹⁸ But if he sanctify his field after the jubilee, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain unto the year of jubilee; and an abatement shall be made from thy estimation.

¹⁹ And if he that sanctified the field will indeed redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy estimation unto it, and it shall be assured to him.

²⁰ And if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more:

²¹ but the field, when it goeth out in the jubilee, shall be holy unto Jehovah, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest’s.

²² And if he sanctify unto Jehovah a field which he hath bought, which is not of the field of his possession;

¹⁷ And if he should sanctify his field from the year of release, it shall stand according to his valuation.

¹⁸ And if he should sanctify his field in the latter time after the release, the priest shall reckon to him the money for the remaining years, until the next year of release, and it shall be deducted as an equivalent from his full valuation.

¹⁷ If he dedicates the land during the Year of Celebration, its full value will be that amount.

¹⁸ But if he dedicates the field after the Year of Celebration, the priest will count the number of years until the next Year of Celebration, and if there are not many years that remain, the price will be much lower than the full price.

¹⁹ If the person who dedicated the field later wants to buy it back, he must pay to the priest the price that the priest says it is worth, plus an added one-fifth, and then the field will belong to that man again.

²⁰ However, if he does not buy it back, or if it has been sold (OR, the priest has sold it) to someone else, that person will never be permitted to buy it back again.

²¹ In the Year of Celebration, it will become sacred again, and it will be given to the priest.

²² If someone dedicates to me some land that he has bought, land which is not part of the land that his family has always owned,

¹⁷ And if he should sanctify his field from the year of release, it shall stand according to his valuation.

¹⁸ And if he should sanctify his field in the latter time after the release, the priest shall reckon to him the money for the remaining years, until the next year of release, and it shall be deducted as an equivalent from his full valuation.

²² “‘If he dedicates a field to the LORD which he has bought, which is not of the field of his possession,

¹⁷ If he gives his field from the year of Jubilee, the value will be fixed by your decision.

¹⁸ But if he gives his field after the year of Jubilee, the amount of the money will be worked out by the priest in relation to the number of years till the coming year of Jubilee, and the necessary amount will be taken off your value.

¹⁹ And if the man who has given the field has a desire to get it back, let him give a fifth more than the price at which it was valued and it will be his.

²⁰ But if he has no desire to get it back, or if he has given it for a price to another man, it may not be got back again.

²¹ But the field, when it becomes free at the year of Jubilee, will be holy to the Lord, as a field given under oath: it will be the property of the priest.

²² And if a man gives to the Lord a field which he has got for money from another, which is not part of his heritage;

¹⁷ If he hallow his field from the year of jubilee, according to thy valuation shall it stand;

¹⁸ but if he hallow his field after the jubilee, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain, until the year of the jubilee; and there shall be a reduction from thy valuation.

¹⁹ And if he that hallowed the field will in any wise redeem it, he shall add the fifth of the money of thy valuation unto it, and it shall be assured to him;

²⁰ but if he do not redeem the field, or if he sell the field to another man, it cannot be redeemed any more;

²¹ and the field, when it goeth out in the jubilee, shall be holy to Jehovah, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest's.

²² And if he hallow to Jehovah a field that he hath bought, which is not of the fields of his possession,

¹⁷ If he vow his field immediately from the year of jubilee that is beginning, as much as it may be worth, at so much it shall be rated.

¹⁸ But if some time after, the priest shall reckon the money according to the number of years that remain until the jubilee, and the price shall be abated.

¹⁹ And if he that had vowed, will redeem his field, he shall add the fifth part of the money of the estimation, and shall possess it.

²⁰ And if he will not redeem it, but it be sold to any other man, he that vowed it, may not redeem it any more:

²¹ For when the day of jubilee cometh, it shall be sanctified to the Lord, and as a possession consecrated, pertaineth to the right of the priests.

²² If a field that was bought, and not of a man’s ancestors’ possession, be sanctified to the Lord,

¹⁷ If you dedicate your field during the Jubilee Year, the value will be the full amount calculated.

¹⁸ But if you dedicate your field after the Jubilee, the priest will work out the value depending on the number of years left until the next Jubilee Year, so reducing the value.

¹⁹ But if you want to buy your field back, you have to add one fifth to its value in payment. Then it will belong to you again.

²⁰ But if you don't buy the field back, or if you've already sold it to someone else, it can't ever be bought back.

²¹ When the Jubilee comes, the field will become holy, in the same way as a field devoted to the Lord. It will become the property of the priests.

²² If you dedicate to the Lord a field you've bought that was not part of your original property,

¹⁷ If he dedicate his field immediatly from the yeere of Iubile, it shall bee worth as thou doest esteeme it.

¹⁸ But if hee dedicate his fielde after the Iubile, then the Priest shall recken him the money according to ye yeeres that remaine vnto the yere of Iubile, and it shalbe abated by thy estimation.

¹⁹ And if he that dedicateth it, will redeeme the fielde, then he shall put the fift parte of the price, that thou esteemedst it at, thereunto, and it shall remaine his.

²⁰ And if he will not redeeme the fielde, but the Priest sell the fielde to another man, it shalbe redeemed no more.

²¹ But the field shalbe holy to the Lord, whe it goeth out in the Iubile, as a fielde separate from common vses: the possession thereof shall be the Priests.

²² If a man also dedicate vnto ye Lord a fielde which he hath bought, which is not of the groud of his inheritance,

¹⁷ If he sanctify his field from the year of jubilee, according to thy valuation it shall stand.

¹⁸ But if he sanctify his field after the jubilee, then the priest shall reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain unto the year of jubilee, and an abatement shall be made from thy valuation.

¹⁹ And if he that sanctified the field will indeed redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of thy valuation unto it, and it shall be assured to him.

¹⁹ And if he that sanctified the field will redeem it, then shall he add the fifth part of the money of the estimated value unto it, and it shall be assured to him.

²⁰ But if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more.

²¹ But the field, when it is freed in the jubilee, shall be holy unto the Lord, as a devoted field: to the priest shall it belong as his possession.

²² And if a man sanctify a field which he hath bought, which is not of the fields of his possession, unto the Lord:

¹⁷ And if he should sanctify his field from the year of release, it shall stand according to his valuation.

¹⁸ And if he should sanctify his field in the latter time after the release, the priest shall reckon to him the money for the remaining years, until the next year of release, and it shall be deducted as an equivalent from his full valuation.

¹⁹ And if he that sanctified the field would redeem it, he shall add to its value the fifth part of the money, and it shall be his.

¹⁹ But if he will redeem the field that he had consecrated, let him add to it a fifth of its valuated price, and it shall be confirmed to him.

²⁰ But if he will not redeem the field, or if he have sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more:

²¹ But the field, when it would have gone out at the Jubilee, shall be consecrated before the Lord as a field devoted (hekel cherema); the possession of it shall be to the priest.

²² And if a man will consecrate before the Lord a field which he hath bought, and which is not of the fields of his inheritance,

¹⁷ If he dedicates his field from the Jubilee Year ·Shofar Year·, according to your valuation it shall stand.

¹⁸ But if he dedicates his field after the Jubilee, then the priest shall reckon to him the money according to the years that remain to the Jubilee Year ·Shofar Year·; and an abatement shall be made from your valuation.

¹⁹ If he who dedicated the field will indeed redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of your valuation to it, and it shall remain his.

²⁰ If he will not redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed any more;

²¹ but the field, when it goes out in the Jubilee, shall be holy to Adonai , as a devoted field. It shall be owned by the priests. (LY:6)

²² “‘If he dedicates a field to Adonai which he has bought, which is not of the field of his possession,

¹⁷ If he sets apart his field during the year of Jubilee, the valuation of it will stand.

¹⁸ But if he sets apart his field after the year of Jubilee, then the priest must calculate the value of the field by the number of years that remain until the next year of Jubilee, and the valuation of it must be reduced.

¹⁹ If the man who set apart the field wishes to redeem it, then he must add a fifth to the valuation, and it will belong to him.

²⁰ If he does not redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it cannot be redeemed any more.

²¹ Instead, the field, when it is released in the year of Jubilee, will be a holy gift to Yahweh, like the field that has been completely given to Yahweh. It will belong to the priest.

²² If a man sets apart a field that he has bought, but that field is not part of his family's land,

¹⁷ If he dedicates his field from the Year of Jubilee, according to your valuation it shall stand.

¹⁸ But if he dedicates his field after the Jubilee, then the priest shall reckon to him the money according to the years that remain to the Year of Jubilee; and an abatement shall be made from your valuation.

¹⁹ If he who dedicated the field will indeed redeem it, then he shall add the fifth part of the money of your valuation to it, and it shall remain his.

¹⁷ If he avoweth the field anon from the year of the beginning of the jubilee, as much as it may be worth, by so much it shall be appraised;

¹⁸ but if it be after some part of time, the priest shall reckon, either determine, the money by the number of the years that be left till to the jubilee, and it shall be withdrawn of the price.

¹⁹ That if he that avowed will again-buy the field, he shall add the fifth part of the money that is appraised, and he shall wield it;

²⁰ but if he will not again-buy it, but it is sold to any other man, he that avowed it shall never be able to again-buy it;

²¹ for when the day of jubilee cometh, that field shall be hallowed to the Lord, and the possession hallowed pertaineth to the right of priests.

²² If the field is bought, and is not of the possession of greater men, that is, of ancestors, and it is hallowed to the Lord,

¹⁷ If he avoweth the field anon from the year of the beginning of the jubilee, as much as it may be worth, by so much it shall be appraised; (If he voweth the field from the beginning of the Jubilee Year, it shall be worth as much as it shall be appraised for;)

¹⁸ but if it be after some part of time, the priest shall reckon, either determine, the money by the number of the years that be left till to the jubilee, and it shall be withdrawn of the price. (but if it be after some time, the priest shall determine its value by the number of years that be left until the Jubilee, and that shall be deducted from the price.)

¹⁹ That if he that avowed will again-buy the field, he shall add the fifth part of the money that (it) is appraised (for), and he shall wield it; (And if he, who vowed the field, will buy it back, he shall add a fifth part to the value that it is appraised for, and then it shall be his;)

²⁰ but if he will not again-buy it, but it is sold to any other man, he that avowed it shall never be able to again-buy it; (but if he will not buy it back, and it is sold to another man, then he who vowed it shall never be able to buy it back;)

²¹ for when the day of jubilee cometh, that field shall be hallowed to the Lord, and the possession hallowed pertaineth to the right of priests. (for when the Jubilee Year cometh, that field shall be holy to the Lord, and dedicated possessions belong to the priests.)

²² If the field is bought, and is not of the possession of greater men, that is, of ancestors, and it is hallowed to the Lord, (If a field is bought, and it is not part of a person’s ancestral land, and it is holy to the Lord,)

¹⁷ If he auowith the feeld anoon for the yeer of the iubilee bigynnynge, as myche as it may be worth, bi so myche it schal be preisid;

¹⁸ but if it be after `sum part of tyme, the preest schal rykene the money bi the noumbre of yeeris that ben residue `til to the iubilee, and it schal be withdrawun of the prijs.

¹⁹ That if he that avowide wole ayenbie the feeld, he schal adde the fyuethe part of the money preisid, and he schal welde it;

²⁰ but if he nyle ayenbie, but it is seeld to ony othir man, he that avowide schal `no more mowe ayenbie it;

²¹ for whanne the dai of iubilee cometh, it schal be halewid to the Lord, and the possessioun halewid perteyneth to the riyt of preestis.

²² If the feeld is bouyt, and is not of the possessioun of grettere men,

¹⁷ if from the year of the jubilee he sanctify his field, according to thy valuation it standeth;

¹⁸ and if after the jubilee he sanctify his field, then hath the priest reckoned to him the money according to the years which are left, unto the year of the jubilee, and it hath been abated from thy valuation.

¹⁹ 'And if he really redeem the field — he who is sanctifying it — then he hath added a fifth of the money of thy valuation to it, and it hath been established to him;

²⁰ and if he do not redeem the field, or if he hath sold the field to another man, it is not redeemed any more;

²¹ and the field hath been, in its going out in the jubilee, holy to Jehovah as a field which is devoted; to the priest is its possession.

²² 'And if the field of his purchase (which is not of the fields of his possession) one sanctify to Jehovah —
