Leviticus 27:1-6 in English

¹ And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

² Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall accomplish a vow, the persons shall be for Jehovah by thy estimation.

³ And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

⁴ And if it be a female, then thy estimation shall be thirty shekels.

⁵ And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

⁶ And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver.

¹ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

² Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Whosoever shall vow a vow as the valuation of his soul for the Lord,

³ the valuation of a male from twenty years old to sixty years old shall be—his valuation shall be fifty didrachms of silver by the standard of the sanctuary.

⁴ And the valuation of a female shall be thirty didrachms.

⁵ And if it be from five years old to twenty, the valuation of a male shall be twenty didrachms, and of a female ten didrachms.

⁶ And from a month old to five years old, the valuation of a male shall be five didrachms, and of a female, three didrachms of silver.

⁵ And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

⁶ And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver.

¹ Yahweh also said to Moses/me,

² “Tell the Israeli people that this is what I am saying to them: If anyone solemnly promises to dedicate another person to work solely for me, the person who is dedicated to me is allowed to be free from having to do that by someone paying to the priest a fixed amount of money. The money that is given must be calculated by comparing it with the official pieces of silver in the Sacred Tent.

³ These are the amounts that must be paid: 50 pieces of silver for men who are between 20 and 60 years old

⁴ 30 pieces of silver for adult women who are between 20 and 60 years old

⁵ 20 pieces of silver for young men who are between five and 20 years old ten pieces of silver for young women who are between five and 20 years old

⁶ five pieces of silver for boys who are between one month and five years old three pieces of silver for girls who are between one month and five years old

¹ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

² Speak to the children of Israel, and you shall say to them, Whosoever shall vow a vow as the valuation of his soul for the Lord,

³ the valuation of a male from twenty years old to sixty years old shall be his valuation shall be fifty didrachmas of silver by the standard of the sanctuary.

¹ And the Lord said to Moses,

² Say to the children of Israel, If a man makes a special oath, you will give your decision as to the value of the persons for the Lord.

³ And you will put the value of a male from twenty years to sixty years old at fifty shekels of silver, by the scale of the holy place.

⁴ And if it is a female, the value will be thirty shekels.

⁵ And if the person is from five to twenty years old, the value will be twenty shekels for a male, and ten for a female.

⁶ And if the person is from one month to five years old, then the value for a male will be five shekels of silver, and for a female three shekels.

¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

² Speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them, When any one devoteth anything by a vow, the persons shall be for Jehovah according to thy valuation.

³ And thy valuation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old: thy valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary;

⁴ and if it be of a female, thy valuation shall be thirty shekels.

⁵ And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, thy valuation of the male shall be twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

⁶ And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, thy valuation of the male shall be five shekels of silver; and for the female thy valuation shall be three shekels of silver.

¹ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

² Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: The man that shall have made a vow, and promised his soul to God, shall give the price according to estimation.

³ If it be a man from twenty years old unto sixty years old, he shall give fifty sides of silver, after the weight of the sanctuary:

⁴ If a woman, thirty.

⁵ But from the fifth year until the twentieth, a man shall give twenty sicles: a woman ten.

⁶ From one month until the fifth year. for a male shall be given five sides: for a female three.

¹ The Lord told Moses,

² “Tell the Israelites: When you make a special promise to dedicate someone to the Lord, these are the values you are to use.

³ The value of a man aged twenty to sixty is fifty shekels of silver, (using the sanctuary shekel standard).

⁴ The value of a woman is thirty shekels.

⁵ The value of someone aged five to twenty is twenty shekels for a male and ten shekels for a female.

⁶ The value of someone aged one month to five years is five shekels of silver for a male and three shekels of silver for a female.

¹ Moreouer the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

² Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say vnto them, If any man shall make a vowe of a person vnto the Lord, by thy estimation,

³ Then thy estimation shall bee thus: a male from twentie yeere olde vnto sixty yeere olde shalbe by thy estimation euen fifty shekels of siluer, after the shekel of the Sanctuarie.

⁴ But if it be a female, then thy valuation shall be thirtie shekels.

⁵ And from fiue yere old to twentie yere olde thy valuation shall be for the male twentie shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

⁶ But from a moneth old vnto fiue yere old, thy price of the male shall bee fiue shekels of siluer, and thy price of the female, three shekels of siluer.

¹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:

² Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them: When a man shall clearly utter a vow of persons unto the LORD, according to thy valuation,

³ then thy valuation shall be for the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

⁴ And if it be a female, then thy valuation shall be thirty shekels.

⁵ And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy valuation shall be for the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

⁶ And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy valuation shall be for the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy valuation shall be three shekels of silver.

³ If the estimated value concern a male from twenty years old, and unto sixty years old, then shall the estimation be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

⁴ And if it be a female, then shall the estimation be thirty shekels.

⁵ And if the person be from five years old and unto twenty years old, then shall the estimation of the male be twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

⁶ And if the person be from a month old and unto five years old, then shall the estimation of the male be five shekels of silver, and for the female the estimation shall be three shekels of silver.

¹ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

² Speak with the sons of Israel, and say to them: When a man setteth apart a votive offering, (it shall be) by estimation of the life before the Lord.

³ If it be the valuation for a male from twenty years to sixty years old, the valuation shall be fifty shekels of silver, in the shekel of the sanctuary.

⁴ And if a female, the valuation shall be thirty shekels.

⁵ And if the age be from five years to twenty years, the valuation for a male shall be twenty shekels, and for a female ten shekels.

⁶ And if the age be from a month unto five years, the valuation for a male shall be twenty shekels, and for a female ten shekels. And if the age be from a month unto five years, the valuation for a male shall be five shekels of silver, and for a female three shekels of silver shall be the valuation.

¹ Adonai spoke to Moses Drawn out, saying,

² “Speak to the children of Israel God prevails, and say to them, ‘When a man consecrates a person to Adonai in a vow, according to your valuation,

³ your valuation of a male from twenty years old even to sixty years old shall be fifty shekels 1.25 lb; 0.57 kg of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is 0.4oz; 11.34 g).

⁴ If she is a female, then your valuation shall be thirty shekels 12 oz; 3/4 lb; 340.2 g.

⁵ If the person is from five years old even to twenty years old, then your valuation shall be for a male twenty shekels 8 oz; 1/2 lb; 226.8 g, and for a female ten shekels 4 oz; 113.4 g.

⁶ If the person is from a month old even to five years old, then your valuation shall be for a male five shekels 2 oz; 56.7 g of silver, and for a female your valuation shall be three shekels of silver.

¹ Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,

² “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, 'If anyone makes a special vow to Yahweh, use the following valuations.

³ Your standard value for a male from twenty to sixty years old must be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

⁴ For a female of the same ages your standard value must be thirty shekels.

⁵ From five years to twenty years old your standard value for a male must be twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels.

⁶ From one month old to five years your standard value for a male must be five shekels of silver, and for a female three shekels of silver.

² Speak thou to the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, A man that maketh a vow, and promiseth his soul to God, he shall give the price under value, either appraising thereof.

³ If it is a male, from the twentieth year till to the sixtieth year, he shall give fifty shekels of silver, at the measure of the saintuary,

⁴ if it is a woman, she shall give thirty shekels;

⁵ forsooth from the fifth year till to the twentieth year, a male shall give twenty shekels, a woman shall give ten shekels;

⁶ from one month till to the fifth year, five shekels shall be given for a male, three shekels for a woman;

¹ And the Lord spake to Moses and said,

² Speak thou to the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, A man that maketh a (special) vow, and promiseth his soul to God, he shall give the price under (the) value, either appraising thereof. (Speak thou to the Israelites, and thou shalt say to them, A person who maketh a special vow, and promiseth his life to God, to fulfill the vow, he shall pay the price of the value, or of the appraisal, of his life.)

³ If it is a male, from the twentieth year till to the sixtieth year, he shall give fifty shekels of silver, at the measure of the saintuary (or by the measure of the sanctuary),

⁴ if it is a woman, she shall give thirty shekels;

⁵ forsooth from the fifth year till to the twentieth year, a male shall give twenty shekels, a woman shall give ten shekels;

⁶ from one month till to the fifth year, five shekels shall be given for a male, three shekels for a woman;

¹ And the Lord spak to Moises and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel,

² and thou schalt seye to hem, A man that makith avow, and bihetith his soule to God, schal yyue the priys vndur valu, ether preisyng.

³ If it is a male, fro the twentithe yeer `til to the sixtithe yeer, he schal yyue fifti siclis of siluer, at the mesure of seyntuarie, if it is a womman,

⁴ sche schal yyue thretti siclis;

⁵ forsothe fro the fifthe yeer `til to the twentithe yeer, a male schal yyue twenti cyclis, a womman schal yyue ten ciclis;

⁶ fro o monethe `til to the fifthe yeer, fyue ciclis schulen be youun for a male, thre ciclis for a womman;

¹ And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

² 'Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When a man maketh a wonderful vow, by thy valuation the persons are Jehovah's.

³ When thy valuation hath been of the male from a son of twenty years even unto a son of sixty years, then hath been thy valuation fifty shekels of silver by the shekel of the sanctuary.

⁴ And if it is a female — then hath thy valuation been thirty shekels;

⁵ and if from a son of five years even unto a son of twenty years — then hath thy valuation been of the male twenty shekels, and for the female, ten shekels;

⁶ and if from a son of a month even unto a son of five years — then hath thy valuation been of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy valuation is three shekels of silver;
