Leviticus 26:1-5 in English

¹ Ye shall make you no idols, neither shall ye rear you up a graven image, or a pillar, neither shall ye place any figured stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am Jehovah your God.

² Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am Jehovah.

³ If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

⁴ then I will give your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

⁵ And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

¹ I am the Lord your God: ye shall not make to yourselves gods made with hands, or graven; neither shall ye rear up a pillar for yourselves, neither shall ye set up a stone for an object in your land to worship it: I am the Lord your God.

³ If ye will walk in my ordinances, and keep my commandments, and do them,

⁴ then will I give you the rain in its season, and the land shall produce its fruits, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

⁵ And your threshing time shall overtake the vintage, and your vintage shall overtake your seed time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full; and ye shall dwell safely upon your land, and war shall not go through your land.

¹ Yahweh also said this to Moses/me on Sinai Mountain: “Do not make idols or set up statues of false gods or sacred stones to worship other gods. And do not put on your property a stone that has been shaped to resemble a false god and bow down to worship it. You must worship only me, Yahweh, your God.

² Honor the Sabbath days and revere my Sacred Tent, because I, Yahweh, live there.

³ If you carefully obey all my commands DOU,

⁴ I will send rain for you at the proper/right times, in order that crops will grow on your land and there will be plenty of fruit on your trees.

⁵ You will continue harvesting and threshing grain until it is time to harvest grapes, and you will continue to harvest grapes until it is time to start planting things in the following year. And you will have all the food that you want to eat, and you will live safely in your land.

¹ Do not make images of false gods, or put up an image cut in stone or a pillar or any pictured stone in your land, to give worship to it; for I am the Lord your God.

² Keep my Sabbaths and give honour to my holy place: I am the Lord.

³ If you are guided by my rules, and keep my laws and do them,

⁴ Then I will give you rain at the right time, and the land will give her increase and the trees of the field will give their fruit;

⁵ And the crushing of the grain will overtake the cutting of the grapes, and the cutting of the grapes will overtake the planting of the seed, and there will be bread in full measure, and you will be living in your land safely.

¹ Ye shall make yourselves no idols, neither rear you up for yourselves carved image, or statue, nor shall ye set up a figured stone in your land, to bow down unto it; for I am Jehovah your God.

² Ye shall observe my sabbaths, and my sanctuary shall ye reverence: I am Jehovah.

³ If ye walk in my statutes, and observe my commandments and do them,

⁴ then I will give your rain in the season thereof, and the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit;

⁵ and your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing-time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land securely.

¹ I am the Lord your God: you shall not make to yourselves any idol or graven thing, neither shall you erect pillars, nor set up a remarkable stone in your land, to adore it: for I am the Lord your God.

² Keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.

³ If you walk in my precepts, and keep my commandments, and do them, I will give you rein in due seasons.

⁴ And the ground shall bring forth its increase, and the trees shall be filled with fruit.

⁵ The threshing of your harvest shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land without fear.

¹ “Don't make yourselves idols anywhere in your land and bow down to worship them, whether they are images or sacred pillars or stone sculptures. For I am the Lord your God.

² Keep my Sabbaths and show respect for my sanctuary. I am the Lord.

³ If you follow my rules and keep my regulations,

⁴ I will make sure it rains at the right time so that the ground will grow good crops and the fruit trees will be productive.

⁵ Your time of threshing will last right up to the grape harvest, and the grape harvest until the time you have to sow again. You will have more than enough to eat and you will live in safety in your land.

⁵ And your threshing shall reache vnto the vintage, and the vintage shall reache vnto sowing time, and you shall eate your bread in plenteousnesse, and dwell in your land safely.

² My sabbaths shall ye keep, and my sanctuary shall ye reverence: I am the Lord.

³ If in my statutes ye walk, and if my commandments ye keep, and do them:

⁴ Then will I give you rains in their due season, and the earth shall yield her products, and the tree of the field shall yield its fruit.

⁵ And the threshing shall reach with you unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto sowing-time; and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and ye shall dwell in safety in your land.

³ If you walk in My statutes, and observe My commandments and perform them,

⁴ Then will I give you rains in their season, and your land shall yield her produce, and the tree of the field its fruit.

⁵ And for you the threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the shooting forth of the seed; and you shall eat your bread with sufficiency, and dwell safely in your land.

¹ “‘You shall make for yourselves no idols, and you shall not raise up an engraved image or a pillar, and you shall not place any figured stone in your land, to hawa ·bow low, prostrate· to it; for I am Adonai your God.

² “‘You shall keep my Sabbaths, and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am Adonai .

³ “‘If you walk in my statutes, and keep my mitzvot ·instructions·, and do them;

⁴ then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

⁵ Your threshing shall reach to the vintage, and the vintage shall reach to the sowing time. You shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. (LY:2)

¹ “You must make no idols, and you must not lift up a carved figure or a sacred stone pillar, and you must not place any carved stone image in your land to which you bow down, for I am Yahweh your God.

² You must keep my Sabbaths and honor my sanctuary. I am Yahweh.

³ If you walk in my laws and keep my commandments and obey them,

⁴ then I will give you rain in its season; the land will yield its produce, and the trees of the field will yield their fruit.

⁵ Your threshing will continue to the time of the grape harvest, and the grape harvest will extend to the planting season. You will eat your bread to the full and live safely where you make your home in the land.

⁴ I shall give to you rain in their times, and the earth shall bring forth his fruit, and the trees shall be filled with apples;

⁵ the threshing of ripe corns shall take the vintage, and the vintage shall occupy the seed time, and ye shall eat your bread in fullness, and ye shall dwell in your land without dread.

¹ ye shall not make to you an idol, and a graven image (or nor a carved image), neither ye shall raise up titles, that is, altars for idolatry, neither ye shall set (up) a noble stone in your land, that ye worship it; for I am your Lord God.

² Keep ye my sabbaths, and dread ye at my saintuary (or and revere my sanctuary); I am the Lord.

³ If ye go in my behests, and keep my commandments, and do those,

⁴ I shall give to you rain in their times, and the earth shall bring forth his fruit, and the trees shall be filled with apples; (I shall give you rain at the proper time, and the land shall bring forth its harvest, and the trees shall be filled with fruit;)

⁵ the threshing of ripe corns shall take (you until) the vintage, and the vintage shall occupy (you until) the seed time, and ye shall eat your bread in fullness, and ye shall dwell in your land without dread (or and ye shall live in your land without any fear).

¹ Y am youre Lord God; ye schulen not make to you an ydol, and a grauun ymage, nether ye schulen reise titlis, nether ye schulen sette a noble stoon in youre lond, that ye worschipe it; for Y am youre Lord God.

² Kepe ye my sabatis, and drede ye at my seyntuarie; Y am the Lord.

³ If ye gon in myn heestis, and kepen my comaundementis, and doon tho, Y schal yyue to you reynes in her tymes,

⁴ and the erthe schal brynge forth his fruyt, and trees schulen be fillid with applis;

⁵ the threschyng of ripe cornes schal take vyndage, and vyndage schal occupie seed, and ye schulen ete youre breed in fulnesse, and ye schulen dwelle in youre lond without drede.

¹ 'Ye do not make to yourselves idols; and graven image or standing image ye do not set up to yourselves; and a stone of imagery ye do not put in your land, to bow yourselves to it; for I am Jehovah your God.

² 'My sabbaths ye do keep, and My sanctuary ye do reverence; I am Jehovah.

³ 'If in My statutes ye walk, and My commands ye keep, and have done them,

⁴ then I have given your rains in their season, and the land hath given her produce, and the tree of the field doth give its fruit;

⁵ and reached to you hath the threshing, the gathering, and the gathering doth reach the sowing -time; and ye have eaten your bread to satiety, and have dwelt confidently in your land.
