²⁰ breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be rendered unto him.

²¹ And he that killeth a beast shall make it good: and he that killeth a man shall be put to death.

²² Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the sojourner, as for the home-born: for I am Jehovah your God.

²³ And Moses spake to the children of Israel; and they brought forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. And the children of Israel did as Jehovah commanded Moses.

²⁰ bruise for bruise, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as any one may inflict a blemish on a man, so shall it be rendered to him.

²¹ Whosoever shall smite a man, and he shall die, let him die the death.

²² There shall be one judgment for the stranger and the native, for I am the Lord your God.

²⁰ If someone breaks one of another person's bones, that person is allowed to break one of the bones of the person who injured him. If someone gouges out an eye of another person, that person is allowed to gouge out the eye of the person who injured him. If someone knocks out the tooth of another person, that person is allowed to knock out one of his teeth. What is done to the offender must be the same as what he did to the other person.

²¹ Whoever kills another person's animal must give that person a live animal to replace the one that he killed, but anyone who murders another person must be executed.

²² That law applies to you Israelis and and also to the foreigners who live among you; I, Yahweh your God am the one who has commanded it.”

²³ Then Moses/I told the Israelis what they must do to the man who cursed Yahweh, so they took the man outside the camp and killed him by throwing stones at him. They did what Yahweh commanded Moses/me to tell them to do.

²² You are to have the same law for a man of another nation living among you as for an Israelite; for I am the Lord your God.

²³ And Moses said these words to the children of Israel, and they took the man who had been cursing outside the tent-circle and had him stoned. The children of Israel did as the Lord gave orders to Moses.

²¹ He that smiteth a beast mortally shall make it good; and he that smiteth a man mortally shall be put to death.

²² Ye shall have one law: as the stranger, so the home-born; for I am Jehovah your God.

²³ And Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and they led the reviler outside the camp and stoned him with stones. And the children of Israel did as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

²⁰ Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, shall he restore. What blemish he gave, the like shall he be compelled to suffer.

²¹ He that striketh a beast, shall render another. He that striketh a man shall be punished.

²² Let there be equal judgment among you, whether he be a stranger, or a native that offends: because I am the Lord your God.

²³ And Moses spoke to the children of Israel: and they brought forth him that had blasphemed, without the camp, and they stoned him. And the children of Israel did as the Lord had commanded Moses.

²⁰ a broken bone for a broken bone, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Whatever way they injured the victim, the same must be done to them.

²¹ Anyone who kills an animal has to replace it, but anyone who kills someone else must be executed.

²² The same laws apply to foreigners who live with you as to Israelites, for I am the Lord your God.”

²³ Moses told this to the Israelites, and they took the man who cursed the Lord outside the camp and stoned him to death. The Israelites did what the Lord ordered Moses to do.

²⁰ Breache for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: such a blemish as he hath made in any, such shalbe repayed to him.

²¹ And he that killeth a beast shall restore it: but he that killeth a man shall be slaine.

²² Ye shall haue one lawe: it shalbe aswel for the stranger as for one borne in the countrey: for I am the Lord your God.

²³ Then Moses tolde the children of Israel, and they brought the blasphemer out of the hoste, and stoned him with stones: so the children of Israel did as the Lord had commanded Moses.

²³ And Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and they led forth the blasphemer to without the camp, and they stoned him with stones; and the children of Israel did as the Lord had commanded Moses.

²² One judgment shall you have, for the stranger as for the native-born shall it be; for I am the Lord your God.

²³ And Mosheh spake with the sons of Israel, and they brought out the blasphemer without the camp, and stoned him with stones; and the sons of Israel did as the Lord commanded Mosheh.

²³ Moses Drawn out spoke to the children of Israel God prevails; and they brought out him who had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. The children of Israel God prevails did as Adonai enjoined Moses Drawn out.

²⁰ fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. As he has caused an injury to a person, so must it also be done to him.

²¹ Anyone who kills an animal must pay it back, and anyone who kills a person must be put to death.

²² You must have the same law for both the foreigner and the native-born Israelite, for I am Yahweh your God.'”

²³ So Moses spoke to the people of Israel, and the people brought the man outside the camp, the one who had cursed Yahweh. They stoned him with stones. The people of Israel carried out the command of Yahweh to Moses.

²⁰ fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. It shall be done to him as he has injured someone.

²¹ He who kills an animal shall make it good; and he who kills a man shall be put to death.

²³ And Moses spake to the sons of Israel, and they brought forth out of the tents him that blasphemed, and oppressed him with stones. And the sons of Israel did, as the Lord commanded to Moses.

²⁰ he shall restore breaking for breaking, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; what manner wem he gave, he shall be compelled to suffer such a wem, (or what manner wound, or injury, he gave, he shall be compelled to suffer such a wound, or injury).

²¹ He that smiteth a work beast, yield he another; he that smiteth a man, shall die. (He who striketh down a work beast, give he another in its place; he who striketh down a man, shall be put to death.)

²² Even doom be among you, whether a pilgrim either a citizen sinneth, for I am your Lord God. (Let equal justice be among you, whether a foreigner or a fellow citizen sinneth, for I am the Lord your God.)

²³ And Moses spake to the sons of Israel, and they brought forth out of the tents him that blasphemed, and oppressed him with stones. And the sons of Israel did, as the Lord commanded to Moses. (And Moses spoke to the Israelites, and they brought out him who blasphemed away from the tents, and stoned him. And so the Israelites did, as the Lord commanded to Moses.)

²¹ He that smytith werk beeste, yeelde another; he that smytith a man, schal be punyschid.

²² Euene doom be among you, whether a pilgrym ethir a citeseyn synneth, for Y am youre Lord God.

²³ And Moyses spak to the sones of Israel, and thei brouyten forth out of the castels hym that blasfemede, and oppressiden with stoonus. And the sones of Israel diden, as the Lord comaundide to Moyses.

²¹ 'And he who smiteth a beast repayeth it, and he who smiteth the life of man is put to death;

²² one judgment is to you; as a sojourner so is a native; for I am Jehovah your God.'

²³ And Moses speaketh unto the sons of Israel, and they bring out the reviler unto the outside of the camp, and stone him with stones; and the sons of Israel have done as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
