¹⁰ And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and the son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp:

¹¹ and the son of the Israelitish woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him unto Moses. And his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.

¹² And they put him in ward, that it might be declared unto them at the mouth of Jehovah.

¹³ And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

¹⁴ Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

¹⁵ And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.

¹⁶ And he that blasphemeth the name of Jehovah, he shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the sojourner, as the home-born, when he blasphemeth the name of Jehovah, shall be put to death.

¹⁷ And he that smiteth any man mortally shall surely be put to death.

¹⁸ And he that smiteth a beast mortally shall make it good, life for life.

¹⁹ And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbor; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him:

¹⁰ And there went forth a son of an Israelitish woman, and he was son of an Egyptian man among the sons of Israel; and they fought in the camp, the son of the Israelitish woman, and a man who was an Israelite.

¹¹ And the son of the Israelitish woman named THE NAME and cursed; and they brought him to Moses: and his mother's name was Salomith, daughter of Dabri of the tribe of Dan.

¹² And they put him in ward, to judge him by the command of the Lord.

¹³ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

¹⁴ Bring forth him that cursed outside the camp, and all who heard shall lay their hands upon his head, and all the congregation shall stone him.

¹⁵ And speak to the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Whosoever shall curse God shall bear his sin.

¹⁶ And he that names the name of the Lord, let him die the death: let all the congregation of Israel stone him with stones; whether he be a stranger or a native, let him die for naming the name of the Lord.

¹⁷ And whosoever shall smite a man and he die, let him die the death.

¹⁸ And whosoever shall smite a beast, and it shall die, let him render life for life.

¹⁹ And whosoever shall inflict a blemish on his neighbour, as he has done to him, so shall it be done to himself in return;

¹⁰ And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;

¹¹ And the Israelitish woman’s son blasphemed the name of the LORD, and cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:)

¹² And they put him in ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them.

¹³ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

¹⁷ And he that smiteth any man mortally shall surely be put to death;

¹⁸ and he that smiteth a beast mortally shall make it good: life for life.

¹⁹ And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;

¹⁰ There was a man whose mother's name was Shelomith; she was an Israeli whose father was Dibri from the tribe of Dan. And that man's father was from Egypt. One day that man and another Israeli man started to fight inside the camp. And while they were fighting, that man cursed Yahweh MTY.

¹² So the Israeli people seized him and guarded him until they could find out what Yahweh would reveal to them that they should do to that man.

¹³ Then Yahweh said to Moses/me,

¹⁴ “ Tie up and take outside the camp the man who has cursed me. There all those who heard what he said must put their hands on his head to indicate that he is guilty, and then all the people must kill him by throwing stones at him.

¹⁵ Tell the Israelis, ‘If anyone curses me, he must ◄endure the consequences/be punished►.

¹⁶ So anyone who curses me MTY must be executed. All the people must throw stones at him. It does not matter if he is a foreigner or an Israeli citizen; anyone who curses me must be executed.’

¹⁷ Also, If anyone murders another person, he must be executed.

¹⁸ And anyone who kills another person's animal must give that person a live animal to replace the one that he killed.

¹⁹ And if one person injures another person, the injured person is allowed to injure the person who injured him in the same way:

¹⁰ And there went forth a son of an Israelitish woman, and he was son of an Egyptian man amongst the sons of Israel; and they fought in the camp, the son of the Israelitish woman, and a man who was an Israelite.

¹¹ And the son of the Israelitish woman named THE NAME and curse; and they brought him to Moses: and his mother's name was Salomith, daughter of Dabri of the tribe of Dan.

¹¹ And the son of the Israelite woman said evil against the holy Name, with curses; and they took him to Moses. His mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.

¹² And they kept him shut up, till a decision might be given by the mouth of the Lord.

¹³ And the Lord said to Moses,

¹⁴ Take the curser outside the tent-circle; and let all in whose hearing the words were said put their hands on his head, and let him be stoned by all the people.

¹⁵ And say to the children of Israel, As for any man cursing God, his sin will be on his head.

¹⁶ And he who says evil against the name of the Lord will certainly be put to death; he will be stoned by all the people; the man who is not of your nation and one who is an Israelite by birth, whoever says evil against the holy Name is to be put to death.

¹⁷ And anyone who takes another's life is certainly to be put to death.

¹⁸ And anyone wounding a beast and causing its death, will have to make payment for it: a life for a life.

¹⁹ And if a man does damage to his neighbour, as he has done, so let it be done to him;

¹⁰ And the son of an Israelitish woman — but withal the son of an Egyptian, — went out among the children of Israel; and this son of the Israelitess and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;

¹¹ and the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses. And his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.

¹² And they confined him, that they might decide at the mouth of Jehovah.

¹³ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

¹⁴ Lead the reviler outside the camp; and all that heard him shall lay their hands upon his head, and the whole assembly shall stone him.

¹⁵ And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Every one when he revileth his God shall bear his sin.

¹⁶ And he that blasphemeth the name of Jehovah shall certainly be put to death; all the assembly shall certainly stone him; as well the stranger as he that is home-born, when he blasphemeth the Name, shall be put to death.

¹⁷ And if any one smiteth any man mortally, he shall certainly be put to death.

¹⁸ And he that smiteth a beast mortally shall make it good, life for life.

¹⁹ And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour, as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;

¹⁰ And behold there went out the son of a woman of Israel, whom she had of an Egyptian, among the children of Israel, and fell at words in the camp with a man of Israel.

¹¹ And when he had blasphemed the name, and had cursed it, he was brought to Moses: (now his mother was called Salumith, the daughter of Dabri, of the tribe of Dan:)

¹² And they put him into prison, till they might know what the Lord would command.

¹³ And the Lord spoke to Moses,

¹⁴ Saying: Bring forth the blasphemer without the camp, and let them that heard him, put their hands upon his head, and let all the people stone him.

¹⁵ And thou shalt speak to the children of Israel: the man that curseth his God, shall bear his sin:

¹⁶ And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, dying let him die: all the multitude shall stone him, whether he be a native or a stranger. He that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, dying let him die.

¹⁷ He that striketh and killeth a man, dying let him die.

¹⁸ He that killeth a beast, shall make it good, that is to say, shall give beast for beast.

¹⁹ He that giveth a blemish to any of his neighbours: as he hath done, so shall it be done to him:

¹⁰ One day a man who had an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father went into the Israelite camp and had a fight with an Israelite.

¹¹ The Israelite woman's son cursed the name of the Lord. So they took him before Moses. (His mother's name was Shelomith, daughter of Dibri, from the tribe of Dan.)

¹² They detained him until it was clear what the Lord wanted them to do about it.

¹³ The Lord told Moses,

¹⁴ “Take the man who cursed me outside the camp. Have all who heard him curse put their hands on his head; then have everyone stone him to death.

¹⁵ Tell the Israelites that anyone who curses their God will be punished for their sin.

¹⁶ Anyone who curses the name of the Lord must to be executed. All of you must stone them to death, whether they are a foreigner who lives with you or an Israelite. If they curse my name, they must be executed.

¹⁷ Anyone who kills someone else must be executed.

¹⁸ Anyone who kills an animal has to replace it—a life for a life.

¹⁹ If anyone injures someone else, whatever they've done must be done to them:

¹⁰ And there went out among the children of Israel the sonne of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian: and this sonne of the Israelitish woman, and a man of Israel stroue together in the hoste.

¹¹ So the Israelitish womans sonne blasphemed the name of the Lord, and cursed, and they brought him vnto Moses (his mothers name also was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan)

¹² And they put him in warde, till he tolde them the minde of the Lord.

¹³ Then the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

¹⁴ Bring the blasphemer without the hoste, and let all that heard him, put their handes vpon his head, and let all the Congregation stone him.

¹⁵ And thou shalt speake vnto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoeuer curseth his God, shall beare his sinne.

¹⁶ And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shalbe put to death: all the Congregation shall stone him to death: aswell the stranger, as he that is borne in the lande: when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, let him beslaine.

¹⁷ He also that killeth any man, he shall be put to death.

¹⁸ And he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it, beast for beast.

¹⁹ Also if a man cause any blemish in his neighbour: as he hath done, so shall it be done to him.

¹⁰ And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and the son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp.

¹¹ And the son of the Israelitish woman pronounced the holy Name, and blasphemed; and they brought him unto Moses: and his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan;

¹² And they placed him in ward, until the decision of the Lord could be explained to them.

¹³ And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,

¹⁴ Lead forth the blasphemer to without the camp; and all that have heard him shall lay their hands upon his head; and all the congregation shall stone him.

¹⁵ And unto the children of Israel shalt thou speak, saying, Whatsoever man that blasphemeth his God shall bear his sin.

¹⁶ But he that pronounced the name of the Lord with blasphemy shall be put to death, all the congregation shall stone him; be he a stranger, or be he one that is born in the land, when he pronounceth the holy Name with blasphemy, he shall be put to death.

¹⁷ And he that taketh the life of any man shall surely be put to death.

¹⁸ And he that taketh the life of a beast shall make it good: beast for beast.

¹⁹ And if a man cause a bodily defect in his neighbor, as he hath done, so shall be done to him;

¹⁰ And there went forth a son of an Israelitish woman, and he was son of an Egyptian man among the sons of Israel; and they fought in the camp, the son of the Israelitish woman, and a man who was an Israelite.

¹¹ And the son of the Israelitish woman named THE NAME and cursed; and they brought him to Moses: and his mother’s name was Shelomith, daughter of Dibri of the tribe of Dan.

¹² And they put him in ward, to judge him by the command of the Lord.

¹⁰ And the son of a woman, a daughter of Israel, but he was the son of a Mizraite man went out among the children of Israel; and the son of the Israelite woman, and a man, a son of Israel, had contention in the camp.

¹¹ And the son of the woman the daughter of Israel gave expression to the Name, and execrated. And they brought him unto Mosheh. And the name of his mother was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibree, of the tribe of Dan.

¹² And they bound him in the house of confinement, until it should be explained to them by the decree of the Word of the Lord.

¹³ And the Lord spake with Mosheh, saying:

¹⁴ Bring forth him who hath imprecated without the camp, and let all who heard lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

¹⁵ And speak thou with the sons of Israel, saying: Whatever man imprecateth before his God shall bear his guilt,

¹⁶ And be who (so) expresseth the Name of the Lord, dying shall die, and all the congregation shall stone him, as well the stranger as the native-born; when he hath made (blasphemous) expression of the Name, he shall be put to death.

¹⁷ And the man who killeth any soul of man shall die, being put to death.

¹⁸ And he who killeth the life of a beast shall make it good, life for life.

¹⁹ And if a man inflict a blemish on his neighbour, as he hath done, so it shall be done to him:

¹⁰ The son of an Israelite Descendant of God prevails woman, whose father was an Egyptian person from Abode of slavery, went out among the children of Israel God prevails; and the son of the Israelite Descendant of God prevails woman and a man of Israel God prevails strove together in the camp.

¹¹ The son of the Israelite Descendant of God prevails woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses Drawn out. His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan He judged.

¹² They put him in custody, until Adonai ’s will should be declared to them.

¹³ Adonai spoke to Moses Drawn out, saying,

¹⁴ “Bring out of the camp him who cursed; and let all who sh'ma ·heard obeyed· him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

¹⁵ You shall speak to the children of Israel God prevails, saying, ‘Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin.

¹⁶ He who blasphemes Adonai ’s name, he shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly stone him. The foreigner as well as the native-born, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.

¹⁷ “‘He who strikes any man mortally shall surely be put to death.

¹⁸ He who strikes an animal mortally shall make it good, life for life.

¹⁹ If anyone injures his neighbor; as he has done, so shall it be done to him:

¹⁰ Now it happened that the son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went among the people of Israel. This son of the Israelite woman fought against an Israelite man in the camp.

¹¹ The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the name of Yahweh and cursed God, so the people brought him to Moses. His mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, from the tribe of Dan.

¹² They held him in custody until Yahweh himself should declare his will to them.

¹³ Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹⁴ “Take the man who has cursed God outside the camp. All who heard him must lay their hands on his head, and then the entire assembly must stone him.

¹⁵ You must explain to the people of Israel and say, 'Whoever curses his God must carry his own guilt.

¹⁶ He who blasphemes the name of Yahweh must surely be put to death. All the assembly must certainly stone him, whether he is a foreigner or a native-born Israelite. If anyone blasphemes the name of Yahweh, he must be put to death.

¹⁷ If anyone strikes down another human being, he must certainly be put to death.

¹⁸ If anyone strikes down someone's animal, he must pay it back, life for life.

¹⁹ If anyone injures his neighbor, it must be done to him as he did to his neighbor:

¹⁰ The son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and the son of the Israelite woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp.

¹¹ The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses. His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.

¹² They put him in custody until Yahweh’s will should be declared to them.

¹³ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹⁴ “Bring him who cursed out of the camp; and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

¹⁵ You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin.

¹⁶ He who blasphemes Yahweh’s name, he shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly stone him. The foreigner as well as the native-born shall be put to death when he blasphemes the Name.

¹⁴ Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

¹⁵ And thou shalt speak to the children of Israel, saying, Whoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.

¹⁶ And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD , shall be put to death.

¹⁷ And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death.

¹⁸ And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; beast for beast.

¹¹ and when he had blasphemed the name of the Lord, and had cursed the Lord, he was brought to Moses; soothly his mother was called Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the lineage of Dan;

¹² and they sent him into prison, till they knew what the Lord commanded.

¹³ And the Lord spake to Moses, and said,

¹⁴ Lead out the blasphemer without the tents, and all men that heard him, set or put they their hands upon his head, and all the people stone him.

¹⁵ And thou shalt speak to the sons of Israel, A man that curseth his God, shall bear his sin,

¹⁶ and he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, die he by death; all the multitude of the people shall oppress him with stones; whether he that blasphemed the name of the Lord is a citizen, or a pilgrim, die he by death.

¹⁷ He that smiteth and slayeth a man, die he by death;

¹⁸ he that smiteth a beast, yield one in his stead, that is, life for life.

¹⁹ If a man giveth a wem to any of his citizens, as he did, so be it done to him;

¹⁰ Lo! forsooth the son of a woman of Israel, whom she childed of an Egyptian, went out among the sons of Israel, and he chided in the tents with a man of Israel, (Behold! the son of an Israelite woman, whom she bare by an Egyptian man, went out among the Israelites, and he quarreled in the tents, or in the camp, with an Israelite,)

¹¹ and when he had blasphemed the name of the Lord, and had cursed the Lord, he was brought to Moses; soothly his mother was called Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the lineage of Dan (or of the tribe of Dan);

¹² and they sent him into prison, till they knew what the Lord commanded.

¹³ And the Lord spake to Moses, and said,

¹⁴ Lead out the blasphemer without the tents, and all men that heard him, set they their hands upon his head, and all the people stone him. (Lead out the blasphemer away from the tents, and all those who heard him, put they their hands upon his head, and let all the people stone him.)

¹⁵ And thou shalt speak to the sons of Israel, (and say), A man that curseth his God, shall bear his sin,

¹⁶ and he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, die he by death; all the multitude of the people shall oppress him with stones; whether he that blasphemed the name of the Lord is a citizen, or a pilgrim, die he by death. (and he who blasphemeth the Lord’s name, shall be put to death; all the multitude of the people shall stone him; yea, whether he who blasphemed the Lord’s name is a citizen, or a foreigner, he shall be put to death.)

¹¹ and whanne he hadde blasfemyd the name of the Lord, and hadde cursid the Lord, he was brouyt to Moises; forsothe his modir was clepid Salumyth, the douytir of Dabry, of the lynage of Dan;

¹² and thei senten hym to prisoun, til thei wisten what the Lord comaundide.

¹³ And the Lord spak to Moises and seide,

¹⁴ Lede out the blasfemere without the castels, and alle men that herden, sette her hondis on his heed, and al the puple stone hym.

¹⁵ And thou schalt speke to the sones of Israel, A man that cursith his God,

¹⁶ schal bere his synne, and he that blasfemeth the name of the Lord, die bi deeth; al the multitude of the puple schal oppresse hym with stoonus, whether he that blasfemede the name of the Lord is a citeseyn, whether a pilgrym, die he bi deeth.

¹⁷ He that smytith and sleeth a man, die bi deeth;

¹⁸ he that smytith a beeste, yelde oon in his stide, that is, lijf for lijf.

¹⁹ If a man yyueth a wem to ony of hise citeseyns, as he dide, so be it don to him;

¹⁰ And a son of an Israelitish woman goeth out (and he is son of an Egyptian man), in the midst of the sons of Israel, and strive in the camp do the son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel,

¹¹ and the son of the Israelitish woman execrateth the Name, and revileth; and they bring him in unto Moses; and his mother's name is Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan;

¹² and he causeth him to rest in charge — to explain to them by the mouth of Jehovah.

¹³ And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

¹⁴ 'Bring out the reviler unto the outside of the camp; and all those hearing have laid their hands on his head, and all the company have stoned him.

¹⁵ 'And unto the sons of Israel thou dost speak, saying, When any man revileth his God — then he hath borne his sin;

¹⁶ and he who is execrating the name of Jehovah is certainly put to death; all the company do certainly cast stones at him; as a sojourner so a native, in his execrating the Name, is put to death.

¹⁷ 'And when a man smiteth any soul of man, he is certainly put to death.

¹⁸ 'And he who smiteth a beast repayeth it, body for body.

¹⁹ 'And when a man putteth a blemish in his fellow, as he hath done so it is done to him;
