¹⁷ Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave-loaves of two tenth parts of an ephah: they shall be of fine flour, they shall be baken with leaven, for first-fruits unto Jehovah.

¹⁸ And ye shall present with the bread seven lambs without blemish a year old, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be a burnt-offering unto Jehovah, with their meal-offering, and their drink-offerings, even an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor unto Jehovah.

¹⁹ And ye shall offer one he-goat for a sin-offering, and two he-lambs a year old for a sacrifice of peace-offerings.

²⁰ And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first-fruits for a wave-offering before Jehovah, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to Jehovah for the priest.

²¹ And ye shall make proclamation on the selfsame day; there shall be a holy convocation unto you; ye shall do no servile work: it is a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

²² And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them for the poor, and for the sojourner: I am Jehovah your God.

²⁰ And the priest shall place them with the loaves of the first-fruits an offering before the Lord with the two lambs, they shall be holy to the Lord; they shall belong to the priest that brings them.

²¹ And ye shall call this day a convocation: it shall be holy to you; ye shall do no servile work on it: it is a perpetual ordinance throughout your generations in all your habitations.

²² And when ye shall reap the harvest of your land, ye shall not fully reap the remainder of the harvest of your field when thou reapest, and thou shalt not gather that which falls from thy reaping; thou shalt leave it for the poor and the stranger: I am the Lord your God.

¹⁷ From your homes, bring two loaves of bread to the priest. He will lift them up high to dedicate them as an offering to me. Those loaves must be baked from three quarts/liters of good flour that has yeast mixed with it. That bread will be an offering to me from the first wheat that you harvest each year.

¹⁸ Along with this bread, you must present to me seven one-year-old lambs with no defects, one young bull, and two rams. They must all be completely burned on the altar. All those offerings, with the grain offering and the wine offering, will be burned, and the smell of all those things burning will be very pleasing to me.

¹⁹ Then you must also kill one male goat to be an offering/sacrifice for your sins, and two one-year-old male lambs to be an offering to enable you to maintain fellowship with me.

²⁰ The priest will lift up these offerings high to dedicate them to me. He will also offer the loaves of bread that were baked from the first wheat that you harvest. Those offerings are sacred to me, but they are for the priests to eat.

²¹ On that day, you must stop your regular work and gather to worship me. You must always obey those instructions/commands, and you must obey them wherever you live.

²² When you harvest the grain in your fields, do not harvest the grain along the edges of the fields, and do not pick up the grain that the harvesters drop. Leave that grain for the poor people and for the foreigners who are living among you. Do not forget that it is I, Yahweh your God, who am commanding those things!”

²³ Yahweh also told Moses/me

²⁴ to give these instructions/commands to the Israeli people: “ Each year in September, on the day that I have chosen, you all must celebrate it by completely resting. You must not do any work on that day. When the priests blow their trumpets loudly, you all must gather together to worship me.

²⁵ All of you must not do your regular work on that day. Instead, you must present offerings to me that will be burned on the altar.”

²⁶ Yahweh also said to Moses/me,

²⁷ “You must celebrate a day on which you request that I forgive you for the sins that you have committed. That day will be nine days after the festival when the priests blow the trumpets. On that day you must ◄fast/abstain from eating food►. You must gather together to worship me and present offerings to me that will be burned on the altar.

²⁸ You must not do any work on that day, because it is the day when the priests will offer sacrifices to me to ◄atone for/ask me to forgive► your sins.

²⁹ You must expel from your group anyone who does not ◄fast/abstain from eating food► on that day.

³⁰ I will get rid of anyone who does any kind of work on that day.

³¹ You must not work at all! You must always obey those instructions/commands, and you must obey them wherever you live.

³² That day will be a day of complete rest for all of you, and on that day you must ◄fast/abstain from eating food► to show that you are sorry for having sinned. That day of rest and ◄fasting/abstaining from eating food► will begin on the evening before the day in which you ask me to forgive you for your sins, and it will end on the evening of the following day.”

³³ Yahweh also said to Moses/me,

³⁴ “Tell the Israeli people that each year they must also celebrate a festival of living in temporary shelters. That festival will begin five days after the day in which they request me to forgive them for their sins. It will last for seven days.

³⁵ On the first day of that festival, the people must gather together to worship me, and they must not do any regular work on that day.

³⁶ On each of the seven days of the festival, they must present to me an offering of animals that will be burned on the altar. On the next day, they must gather again to worship me and present to me another animal that will be burned on the altar. That also will be a sacred gathering, and they must not work on that day, either.

³⁷ To summarize, those are the festivals that I have appointed. Celebrate those sacred festivals by gathering together to present to me all the various offerings that will be burned on the altar —animals that will be burned completely, and offerings of grain, and offerings to enable the Israeli people to maintain fellowship with me, and offerings of wine. Each offering must be brought on the day that I have indicated.

³⁸ ◄Those festivals must be celebrated/You must celebrate those festivals► in addition to worshiping on the ◄Sabbath days/days of rest►. And all those offerings must be given in addition to the offerings that people personally decide to give, and in addition to the offerings that people make to accompany the solemn promises that they have made, or offerings that people make ◄voluntarily/because they themselves want to►.

³⁹ Returning to my instructions about the Festival of Living in Temporary Shelters, you must celebrate this festival after you have harvested all the crops. On the first day and on the last day of that festival, you must rest completely.

²⁶ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

²⁷ Also on the tenth day of this seventh month is a day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation to you; and you° shall humble your souls, and offer a whole burnt offering to the Lord.

²⁸ You° shall do no work on this self-same day: for this is a day of atonement for you, to make atonement for you before the Lord your God.

²⁹ Every soul that shall not be humbled in that day, shall be cut off from amongst its people.

³⁰ And every soul which shall do work on that day, that soul shall be destroyed from amongst its people.

³¹ You° shall do no manner of work: it is a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your habitations.

³² It shall be a holy sabbath to you; and you° shall humble your souls, from the ninth day of the month: from evening to evening you° shall keep your sabbaths.

³³ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

³⁴ Speak to the children of Israel, saying, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month, there shall be a feast of tabernacles seven days to the Lord.

³⁵ And on the first day shall be a holy convocation; you° shall do no servile work.

³⁶ Seven days shall you° offer whole burnt offerings to the Lord, and the eighth-day shall be a holy convocation to you; and you° shall offer whole burnt offerings to the Lord: it is a time of release, you° shall do no servile work.

³⁷ These are the feasts to the Lord, which you° shall call holy convocations, to offer burnt offerings to the Lord, whole burnt offerings and their meat-offerings, and their drink-offerings, that for each day on its day:

³⁸ besides the sabbaths of the Lord, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides your free will offerings, which you° shall give to the Lord.

³⁹ And on the fifteenth day of this seventh month, when you° shall have completely gathered in the fruits of the earth, you° shall keep a feast to the Lord seven days; on the first day there shall be a rest, and on the eighth day a rest.

¹⁷ You shall bring out of your habitations two loaves of bread for a wave offering made of two tenths of an ephah of fine flour. They shall be baked with yeast, for first fruits to Yahweh.

¹⁸ You shall present with the bread seven lambs without defect a year old, one young bull, and two rams. They shall be a burnt offering to Yahweh, with their meal offering and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma to Yahweh.

¹⁹ You shall offer one male goat for a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old for a sacrifice of peace offerings.

²⁰ The priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before Yahweh, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to Yahweh for the priest.

²¹ You shall make proclamation on the same day that there shall be a holy convocation to you. You shall do no regular work. This is a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

²² “‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you must not wholly reap into the corners of your field. You must not gather the gleanings of your harvest. You must leave them for the poor and for the foreigner. I am Yahweh your God.’”

²³ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

²⁴ “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, there shall be a solemn rest for you, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

²⁵ You shall do no regular work. You shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh.’”

²⁶ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

²⁷ “However on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement. It shall be a holy convocation to you. You shall afflict yourselves and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

¹⁷ Take from your houses two cakes of bread, made of a fifth part of an ephah of the best meal, cooked with leaven, to be waved for first-fruits to the Lord.

¹⁸ And with the bread, take seven lambs of the first year, without any marks, and one ox and two male sheep, to be a burned offering to the Lord, with their meal offering and their drink offerings, an offering of a sweet smell made by fire to the Lord.

¹⁹ And you are to give one male goat for a sin-offering and two male lambs of the first year for peace-offerings.

²⁰ And these will be waved by the priest, with the bread of the first-fruits, for a wave offering to the Lord, with the two lambs: they will be holy to the Lord for the priest.

²¹ And on the same day, let it be given out that there will be a holy meeting for you: you may do no field-work on that day: it is a rule for ever through all your generations wherever you are living.

²² And when you get in the grain from your land, do not let all the grain at the edges of the field be cut, and do not take up the grain which has been dropped in the field; let that be for the poor, and for the man from another country: I am the Lord your God.

²³ And the Lord said to Moses,

²⁴ Say to the children of Israel, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, let there be a special day of rest for you, a day of memory, marked by the blowing of horns, a meeting for worship.

²⁵ Do no field-work and give to the Lord an offering made by fire.

²⁶ And the Lord said to Moses,

²⁷ The tenth day of this seventh month is the day for the taking away of sin; let it be a holy day of worship; you are to keep from pleasure, and give to the Lord an offering made by fire.

²⁸ And on that day you may do no sort of work, for it is a day of taking away sin, to make you clean before the Lord your God.

²⁹ For any person, whoever he may be, who takes his pleasure on that day will be cut off from his people.

³⁰ And if any person, whoever he may be, on that day does any sort of work, I will send destruction on him from among his people.

³¹ You may not do any sort of work: this is an order for ever through all your generations wherever you may be living.

³² Let this be a Sabbath of special rest to you, and keep yourselves from all pleasure; on the ninth day of the month at nightfall from evening to evening, let this Sabbath be kept.

³³ And the Lord said to Moses,

³⁴ Say to the children of Israel, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month let the feast of tents be kept to the Lord for seven days.

³⁵ On the first day there will be a holy meeting: do no field-work.

³⁶ Every day for seven days give an offering made by fire to the Lord; and on the eighth day there is to be a holy meeting, when you are to give an offering made by fire to the Lord; this is a special holy day: you may do no field-work on that day.

³⁷ These are the fixed feasts of the Lord, to be kept by you as holy days of worship, for making an offering by fire to the Lord; a burned offering, a meal offering, an offering of beasts, and drink offerings; every one on its special day;

³⁸ In addition to the Sabbaths of the Lord, and in addition to the things you give and the oaths you make and the free offerings to the Lord.

³⁹ But on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have got in all the fruits of the land, you will keep the feast of the Lord for seven days: the first day will be a Sabbath, and the eighth day the same.

¹⁷ Out of your dwellings shall ye bring two wave-loaves, of two tenths of fine flour; with leaven shall they be baken; as first-fruits to Jehovah.

¹⁸ And ye shall present with the bread seven he-lambs without blemish, yearlings, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be a burnt-offering to Jehovah with their oblation, and their drink-offerings, an offering by fire of a sweet odour to Jehovah.

¹⁹ And ye shall sacrifice one buck of the goats for a sin-offering, and two he-lambs, yearlings, for a sacrifice of peace-offering.

²⁰ And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first-fruits as a wave-offering before Jehovah, with the two he-lambs; they shall be holy to Jehovah, for the priest.

²¹ And ye shall make proclamation on that same day — a holy convocation shall it be unto you: no manner of servile work shall ye do: it is an everlasting statute in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

²² And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not in thy harvest entirely reap the corners of thy field, and the gleaning of thy harvest shalt thou not gather: thou shalt leave them unto the poor and to the stranger: I am Jehovah your God.

²³ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

²⁴ Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first of the month, shall ye have a rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

²⁵ No manner of servile work shall ye do; and ye shall present an offering by fire to Jehovah.

³³ And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

³⁷ These are the set feasts of Jehovah, which ye shall proclaim as holy convocations, to present an offering by fire to Jehovah, a burnt-offering, and an oblation, a sacrifice, and drink-offerings, everything upon its day;

³⁸ besides the sabbaths of Jehovah, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your voluntary offerings, which ye give to Jehovah.

³⁹ But on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the produce of the land, ye shall celebrate the feast of Jehovah seven days: on the first day there shall be rest, and on the eighth day there shall be rest.

¹⁷ Out of all your dwellings, two leaves of the firstfruits, of two tenths of flour leavened, which you shall bake for the firstfruits of the Lord.

¹⁸ And you shall offer with the leaves seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one calf from the herd, and two rams, and they shall be for a holocaust with their libations far a most sweet odour to the Lord.

¹⁹ You shall offer also a buck goat for sin, and two lambs of the first year for sacrifices of peace offerings.

²⁰ And when the priest hath lifted them up with the leaves of the firstfruits before the Lord, they shall fall to his use.

²¹ And you shall call this day most solemn, and most holy. You shall do no servile work therein. It shall be an everlasting ordinance in all your dwellings and generations.

²² And when you reap the corn of your land, you shall not cut it to the very ground: neither shall you gather the ears that remain; but you shall leave them for the poor and for the strangers. I am the Lord your God.

²³ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

²⁴ Say to the children of Israel: The seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall keep a sabbath, a memorial, with she sound of trumpets, and it shall be called holy.

²⁵ You shall do no servile work therein, and you shall offer a holocaust to the Lord.

²⁶ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

²⁷ Upon the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the day of atonement, it shall be most solemn, and shall be called holy: and you shall afflict your souls on that day, and shall offer a holocaust to the Lord.

²⁸ You shall do no servile work in the time of this day: because it is a day of propitiation, that the Lord your God may be merciful unto you.

²⁹ Every soul that is not afflicted on this day, shall perish from among his people:

³⁰ And every soul that shall do any work, the same will I destroy from among his people.

³¹ You shall do no work therefore on that day: it shall be an everlasting ordinance unto you in all your generations, and dwellings.

³² It is a sabbath of rest, and you shell afflict your souls beginning on the ninth day of the month: from evening until evening you shall celebrate your sabbaths.

³³ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

³⁴ Say to the children of Israel: From the fifteenth day of this same seventh month, shall be kept the feast of tabernacles seven days to the Lord.

³⁵ The first day shall be called most solemn and most holy: you shall do no servile work therein. And seven days you shall offer holocausts to the Lord.

³⁶ The eighth day also shall be most solemn and most holy, and you shall offer holocausts to the Lord: for it is the day of assembly and congregation: you shall do no servile work therein.

³⁷ These are the feasts of the Lord, which you shall call most solemn and most holy, and shall offer on them oblations to the Lord, holocausts and libations according to the rite of every day,

³⁸ Besides the sabbaths of the Lord, and your gifts, and those things that you offer by vow, or which you shall give to the Lord voluntarily.

³⁹ So from the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you shall have gathered in all the fruits of your land, you shall celebrate the feast of the Lord seven days: on the first day and the eighth shall be a sabbath, that is a day of rest.

¹⁷ Bring two loaves of bread from your homes as a wave offering. Make them from two-tenths of an ephah of best flour, baked with yeast, as the firstfruits to the Lord.

¹⁸ As well as the bread, present seven one-year-old male lambs a year old without defects, one young bull, and two rams. They will be a burnt offering to the Lord, as well as their grain offerings and drink offerings, a food offering to the Lord to be accepted by him.

¹⁹ Present one male goat as a sin offering and two one-year-old male lambs a year old as a peace offering.

²⁰ The priest will wave the lambs as a wave offering before the Lord, along with the bread of the firstfruits. The bread and the two lambs are holy to the Lord and belong to the priest.

²¹ That same day you are to announce a holy meeting, and you must not to do any of your usual work. This regulation is for all time and for future generations everywhere you live.

²² When you harvest the crops grown on your land, don't harvest right up to the edges of your field, or collect what has been missed. Leave them for the poor people and foreigners. I am the Lord your God.”

²³ The Lord told Moses,

²⁴ “Tell the Israelites that on the first day of the seventh month you are to have a special Sabbath of complete rest, a holy meeting that is announced by the sound of trumpets.

²⁵ Don't do any of your usual work; instead you are to present a food offering to the Lord.”

²⁶ The Lord told Moses,

²⁷ “The Day of Atonement is on the tenth day of this seventh month. You are to have a holy meeting, deny yourselves, and present a food offering to the Lord

²⁸ On this day you must not do any of your usual work because it is the Day of Atonement, when things are made right for you before the Lord your God.

²⁹ Anyone who does not practice self-denial on this day must be expelled from their people.

³⁰ I will destroy anyone of you who does any work on this day.

³¹ Don't do any kind of work at all. This regulation is for all time and for future generations everywhere you live.

³² It is to be a Sabbath of complete rest for you, and you shall practice self-denial. You are to observe your Sabbath from the evening of the ninth day of the month until evening the next day.”

³³ The Lord told Moses,

³⁴ “Tell the Israelites that the Feast of Tabernacles to honor the Lord begins on the fifteenth day of the seventh month and lasts for seven days.

³⁵ On the first day have a holy meeting. You must not do any of your usual work.

³⁶ For seven days you shall present food offerings to the Lord. On the eighth day you are to have another holy meeting and present a food offering to the Lord. It is a meeting for worship. You must not do any of your usual work.

³⁷ (These are the Lord's holy festivals, which you are to announce as holy meetings for presenting food offerings to the Lord. These include burnt offerings, grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, each according to the specific day.

³⁸ All of these offerings are in addition to those for the Lord's Sabbaths. They are also in addition to your gifts, to all your offerings to fulfill promises, and to all the freewill offerings you present to the Lord.)

³⁹ You shall celebrate a feast to honor the Lord for seven days on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, once you have harvested your crops. The first day and the eighth day are Sabbaths of complete rest.

¹⁷ Ye shall bring out of your habitations bread for the shake offring: they shalbe two loaues of two tenth deales of fine floure, which shalbe baken with leauen for first fruites vnto the Lord.

¹⁸ Also yee shall offer with the bread seuen lambes without blemish of one yeere olde, and a yong bullocke and two rams: they shalbe for a burnt offring vnto the Lord, with their meate offrings and their drinke offrings, for a sacrifice made by fire of a sweete sauour vnto the Lord.

¹⁹ Then ye shall prepare an hee goate for a sinne offring, and two lambes of one yeere olde for peace offrings.

²⁰ And the Priest shall shake them to and from with the bread of the first fruits before the Lord, and with the two lambes: they shalbe holy to the Lord, for the Priest.

²¹ So ye shall proclayme the same day, that it may be an holie conuocation vnto you: ye shall doe no seruile worke therein: it shalbe an ordinance for euer in al your dwellinges, throughout your generations.

²² And when you reape the haruest of your land, thou shalt not rid cleane the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou make any aftergathering of thy haruest, but shalt leaue them vnto the poore and to the stranger: I am the Lord your God.

²³ And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

²⁴ Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say, In the seuenth moneth, and in the first day of the moneth shall ye haue a Sabbath, for the remembrance of blowing the trumpets, an holy conuocation.

²⁵ Ye shall do no seruile worke therein, but offer sacrifice made by fire vnto the Lord.

²⁹ For euery person that humbleth not himselfe that same day, shall euen be cut off from his people.

³⁰ And euery person that shall doe any work that same day, the same person also will I destroy from among his people.

³¹ Ye shall do no maner worke therefore: this shalbe a law for euer in your generations, throughout all your dwellings.

³⁷ These are the feastes of the Lord (which ye shall call holie conuocations) to offer sacrifice made by fire vnto the Lord, as burnt offring, and meate offring, sacrifice, and drinke offrings, euery one vpon his day,

³⁸ Beside the Sabbaths of the Lord, and beside your giftes, and beside al your vowes, and beside all your free offrings, which ye shall giue vnto the Lord.

¹⁸ And ye shall present with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams; they shall be a burnt-offering unto the LORD, with their meal-offering, and their drink-offerings, even an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

¹⁹ And ye shall offer one he-goat for a sin-offering, and two he-lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace-offerings.

²⁰ And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first-fruits for a wave-offering before the LORD, with the two lambs; they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.

²¹ And ye shall make proclamation on the selfsame day; there shall be a holy convocation unto you; ye shall do no manner of servile work; it is a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

²² And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corner of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleaning of thy harvest; thou shalt leave them for the poor, and for the stranger: I am the LORD your God.

²² And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not cut away altogether the corners of thy field when thou reapest, and the gleaning of thy harvest shalt thou not gather up; unto the poor, and to the stranger shalt thou leave them: I am the Lord your God.

²³ And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,

²⁴ Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, shall ye have a rest, a day of memorial of sounding the cornet, a holy convocation.

²⁵ No servile work shall ye do: and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

²⁷ But on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement, a holy convocation shall it be unto you, and ye shall fast; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

¹⁸ And ye shall bring with the loaves seven unblemished lambs of a year old, and one calf of the herd, and two rams without blemish, and they shall be a whole burnt offering to the Lord: and their meat offerings and their drink offerings shall be a sacrifice, a smell of sweet savor to the Lord.

¹⁹ And they shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of a year old for a peace offering, with the loaves of the firstfruits.

²⁰ And the priest shall place them with the loaves of the firstfruits an offering before the Lord with the two lambs, they shall be holy to the Lord; they shall belong to the priest that brings them.

²¹ And ye shall call this day a convocation: it shall be holy to you; ye shall do no servile work on it: it is a perpetual ordinance throughout your generations in all your habitations.

²² And when ye shall reap the harvest of your land, ye shall not fully reap the remainder of the harvest of your field when thou reapest, and thou shalt not gather that which falls from thy reaping; thou shalt leave it for the poor and the stranger: I am the Lord your God.

²³ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

²⁴ Speak to the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have a rest, a memorial of trumpets: it shall be to you a holy convocation.

²⁵ Ye shall do no servile work, and ye shall offer a whole burnt offering to the Lord.

²⁶ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

²⁷ Also on the tenth day of this seventh month is a day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation to you; and ye shall humble your souls, and offer a whole burnt offering to the Lord.

³⁹ And on the fifteenth day of this seventh month, when ye shall have completely gathered in the fruits of the earth, ye shall keep a feast to the Lord seven days; on the first day there shall be a rest, and on the eighth day a rest.

¹⁷ Bring from your dwellings two loaves for an elevation, two cakes, of two-tenths of flour shall they be, baked with leaven, as firstfruits before the Lord.

¹⁸ And with the bread you shall offer seven unblemished lambs of the year, one young bullock, and two rams; they shall be a burnt offering before the Lord, with their mincha and their libation, to be received with acceptance before the Lord.

¹⁹ And you shall make one of the goats (a sacrifice) for a sin offering, and two lambs of the year for consecrated offerings.

²⁰ And the priest shall uplift them with the bread of the firstfruits an elevation before the Lord; with the two lambs they (the loaves) shall be consecrated before the Lord for the priest.

²¹ And on this same day you shall proclaim (that) it shall be a holy convocation to you. Ye shall do no work of labour. (This is) an everlasting statute in all your dwellings unto your generations.

²² And when you reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not entirely finish the corner of thy field in thy reaping, nor shalt thou gather up the gleanings of thy harvest; for the poor and for the stranger thou shalt leave them: I am the Lord your God.

²³ And the Lord spake with Mosheh, saying:

²⁴ Speak with the sons of Israel, saying: In the seventh month you shall have a (season of) Rest; a memorial of the Trumpet, a holy convocation;

²⁵ No work of labour shall you do, but offer an oblation before the Lord.

²⁶ And the Lord spake with Mosheh, saying:

²⁷ But on the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement (Yoma de Kippuraia, the Day of Expiations); a holy convocation you shall have, and afflict (or humble) your souls and offer the oblation before the Lord.

²⁸ And NO WORK may you do on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God.

²⁹ For every man who will not humble himself on that same day, shall be cut off from his people.

³⁰ And any man who doeth any work oil that same day, I will destroy that man from among his people.

³¹ No work shall you do: an everlasting statute unto your generations, in all your dwellings.

³² A Sabbath of rest shall it be to you, and ye shall humble your souls, on the ninth of the month at evening: from evening to evening you shall rest your rest.

³³ And the Lord spake with Mosheh, saying:

³⁴ Speak with the sons of Israel saying: On the fifteenth day of this seventh month (shall be) the Feast of Bowers, seven days before the Lord.

³⁵ On the first day a holy convocation; no work of labour may you do.

³⁶ Seven days you shall offer oblations before the Lord; on the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and offer an oblation before the Lord. You shall be gathered together; no work of labour may you do.

³⁷ These are the Festivals of the Lord which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an oblation before the Lord, a burnt sacrifice, and a mincha, and a consecrated offering and libations (according to) the directory of the day, on its day.

³⁸ Beside (or except) the Sabbaths of the Lord, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your free-will offerings which you present before the Lord.

³⁹ Also on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the produce of the ground, you shall solemnize a feast of the Lord seven days. On the first day there shall be rest, and on the eighth day rest.

¹⁷ You shall bring out of your habitations two loaves of bread for a wave offering made of one tenth of an ephah two omers; 4.6 q; 4.4 L of fine flour. They shall be baked with yeast, for first fruits to Adonai .

¹⁸ You shall present with the bread seven lambs without defect a year old, one young bull, and two rams. They shall be a burnt offering to Adonai , with their meal offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma to Adonai .

¹⁹ You shall offer one male goat for a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old for a sacrifice of peace offerings.

²⁰ The priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before Adonai , with the two lambs. They shall be holy to Adonai for the priest.

²¹ You shall make proclamation on the same day: there shall be a holy convocation to you; you shall do no regular aboda ·service·. This is a regulation forever in all your dwellings throughout all your generations.

²² “‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you must not wholly reap into the corners of your field, and you must not gather the gleanings of your harvest. You must leave them for the poor, and for the foreigner. I am Adonai your God.’” (5)

²³ Adonai spoke to Moses Drawn out, saying,

²⁴ “Speak to the children of Israel God prevails, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest to you, a memorial of blowing of shofarot ·ram horns·, a holy convocation.

²⁵ You shall do no regular aboda ·service·; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Adonai .’”

²⁶ Adonai spoke to Moses Drawn out, saying,

²⁷ “However on the tenth day of this seventh month is Yom-Kippur ·Day of Atonement·: it shall be a holy convocation to you, and you shall afflict yourselves; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Adonai .

²⁸ You shall do no kind of work in that same day; for it is Yom-Kippur ·Day of Atonement·, to make atonement for you before Adonai your God.

²⁹ For whoever it is who shall not deny himself in that same day; shall be cut off from his people.

³⁰ Whoever it is who does any kind of work in that same day, that person I will destroy from among his people.

³¹ You shall do no kind of work: it is a statute forever throughout all your generations in all your dwellings.

³² It shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for you, and you shall deny yourselves. In the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall keep your Sabbath.” (6)

³³ Adonai spoke to Moses Drawn out, saying,

³⁴ “Speak to the children of Israel God prevails, and say, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the festival of Sukkot ·Booths· for seven days to Adonai .

³⁵ On the first day shall be a holy convocation: you shall do no regular aboda ·service·.

³⁶ Seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to Adonai . On the eighth day shall be a holy convocation to you; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Adonai . It is a solemn assembly; you shall do no regular aboda ·service·.

³⁷ “‘These are the appointed feasts of Adonai , which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to Adonai , a burnt offering, and a meal offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, each on its own day;

¹⁸ You must present with the bread seven lambs one year old and without blemish, one young bull, and two rams. They must be a burnt offering to Yahweh, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering made by fire and producing a sweet aroma for Yahweh.

¹⁹ You must offer one male goat for a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old for a sacrifice, as fellowship offerings.

²⁰ The priest must wave them together with the bread of the firstfruits before Yahweh, and present them to him as an offering with the two lambs. They will be holy offerings to Yahweh for the priest.

²¹ You must make a proclamation on that same day. There will be a holy assembly, and you must do no ordinary work. This will be a permanent statute throughout your people's generations in all the places where you live.

²² When you reap the harvest of your land, you must not completely reap the corners of your fields, and you must not gather the gleanings of your harvest. You must leave them for the poor and for the foreigner. I am Yahweh your God.'”

²³ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

²⁴ “Speak to the people of Israel and say, 'In the seventh month, the first day of that month will be a solemn rest for you, a memorial with the blowing of trumpets, and a holy assembly.

²⁵ You must do no ordinary work, and you must offer a sacrifice made by fire to Yahweh.'”

²⁶ Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

²⁷ “Now the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. It is to be a holy assembly, and you must humble yourselves and present to Yahweh an offering by fire.

²⁸ You must do no work on that day because it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for yourselves before Yahweh your God.

²⁹ Whoever does not humble himself on that day must be cut off from his people.

³⁰ Whoever does any work on that day, I, Yahweh, will destroy him from among his people.

³¹ You must do no work of any kind on that day. This will be a permanent statute throughout your people's generations in all the places where you live.

³² This day must be to you a Sabbath of solemn rest, and you must humble yourselves the ninth day of the month at the evening. From evening to evening you are to observe your Sabbath.”

³³ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

³⁴ “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, 'On the fifteenth day of the seventh month will be the Festival of Shelters for Yahweh. It will last seven days.

³⁵ On the first day there must be a holy assembly. You must do no ordinary work.

³⁶ For seven days you must offer a sacrifice made by fire to Yahweh. On the eighth day there must be a holy assembly, and you must make a sacrifice offered with fire to Yahweh. This is a solemn assembly, and you must not do any ordinary work.

³⁷ These are the appointed festivals for Yahweh, which you must proclaim as holy assemblies to offer sacrifice by fire to Yahweh, a burnt offering and a grain offering, sacrifices and drink offerings, each on its own day.

³⁸ These festivals will be in addition to the Sabbaths of Yahweh and your gifts, all your vows, and all your freewill offerings that you give to Yahweh.

³⁹ Regarding the Festival of Shelters, on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruits of the land, you must keep this festival of Yahweh for seven days. The first day will be a solemn rest, and the eighth day will also be a solemn rest.

²² “‘When you reap the harvest of your land, you must not wholly reap into the corners of your field. You must not gather the gleanings of your harvest. You must leave them for the poor and for the foreigner. I am Yahweh your God.’”

²³ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

²⁴ “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, there shall be a solemn rest for you, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

²⁵ You shall do no regular work. You shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh.’”

¹⁹ You shall offer one male goat for a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old for a sacrifice of peace offerings.

²⁰ The priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs. They shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.

²¹ You shall make proclamation on the same day that there shall be a holy convocation to you. You shall do no regular work. This is a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

¹⁹ Ye shall make also a goat buck for sin, and two lambs of one year, the sacrifices of peaceable things.

²⁰ And when the priest hath raised those or them, with the loaves of the first fruits, before the Lord, those or they shall fall into the priest’s use.

²¹ And ye shall call this day most solemn, and most holy; ye shall not do therein any servile work; it shall be a lawful thing everlasting in all your dwellings, and generations.

²² Forsooth after that ye have reaped the corn of your land, ye shall not cut it till to the ground, neither ye shall gather the ears of corn that abide, but ye shall leave those or them to poor men and pilgrims; I am the Lord your God.

²³ And the Lord spake to Moses, and said,

²⁸ ye shall not do any work in the time of this day, for it is the day of cleansing, that your Lord God be merciful to you.

²⁹ Each man which is not tormented in this day, shall perish from his peoples,

³⁰ and I shall do away from his people that man that doeth anything of work in that day;

³¹ therefore ye shall not do anything of work in that day; it shall be a lawful thing everlasting to you in all your generations and dwellings;

³² it is the sabbath of resting. Ye shall therein torment your souls from the ninth day of the month; from the eventide till to eventide ye shall hallow your sabbaths.

³³ And the Lord spake to Moses, and said,

³⁸ besides the sabbaths of the Lord, and your gifts, and that that ye offer by avows, either that that ye give by free will to the Lord.

³⁹ Therefore from the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered all the fruits of your land, ye shall hallow the fairs of the Lord seven days; in the first day and the eighth day shall be sabbath, that is, rest.

¹⁹ Ye shall make also a goat buck for sin, and two lambs of one year, the sacrifices of peaceable things. (Ye shall also offer a goat buck for a sin offering, and two lambs of one year for a peace offering.)

²⁰ And when the priest hath raised those (up, or waved them), with the loaves of the first fruits, (as a special gift) before the Lord, those shall fall into the priest’s use (or they shall belong to the priest).

²¹ And ye shall call this day most solemn, and most holy; ye shall not do therein any servile work; it shall be a lawful thing everlasting in all your dwellings, and generations. (And on this day there shall be a holy gathering; ye shall not do any daily work on it; this shall be an everlasting law for all your generations, in all your dwelling places.)

²⁸ ye shall not do any work in the time of this day, for it is the day of cleansing, that your Lord God be merciful to you. (ye shall not do any work on this day, for it is the Day of Cleansing, or the Day of Atonement, so that the Lord your God shall be merciful to you.)

³⁶ and seven days ye shall offer burnt sacrifices to the Lord, and the eighth day shall be most solemn and most holy; and ye shall offer burnt sacrifice to the Lord, for it is the day of company, and of gathering; ye shall not do any servile work therein. (and for seven days ye shall offer burnt sacrifices to the Lord, and then on the eighth day there shall be another holy gathering; and on it ye shall offer a burnt sacrifice to the Lord, for it is the day of congregation, yea, of gathering together; ye shall not do any daily work on it.)

³⁷ These be the fairs of the Lord, which ye shall call most solemn and most holy; and in them ye shall offer offerings to the Lord, burnt sacrifices, and flowing offerings, by the custom of each day, (These be the Feasts, or the Festivals, to honour the Lord, which shall be holy gatherings for you; and at them ye shall offer burnt sacrifices to the Lord, and peace offerings, and grain offerings, and sacrifices, and wine offerings, by the custom of each day,)

³⁸ besides the sabbaths of the Lord, and your gifts, and that that ye offer by avows, either that that ye give by free will to the Lord. (besides the Lord’s Sabbaths, and your gifts, and what ye offer by vows, and those free will offerings that ye give to the Lord.)

³⁹ Therefore from the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered all the fruits of your land, ye shall hallow the fairs of the Lord seven days; in the first day and the eighth day shall be (a) sabbath, that is, rest. (And so from the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in all the fruits of your land, and for seven days, ye shall keep this Feast to honour the Lord; on the first day, and on the eighth day, shall be a Sabbath, that is, a day of rest.)

²² Forsothe aftir that ye han rope the corn of youre lond, ye schulen not kitte it `til to the ground, nether ye schulen gadere the `eeris of corn abidynge, but ye schulen leeue tho to pore men and pilgrymys; Y am `youre Lord God.

²³ And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide,

²⁴ Speke thou to the sones of Israel, In the seuenthe monethe, in the firste day of the monethe, schal be sabat memorial to yow, sownynge with trumpis, and it schal be clepid hooli;

²⁵ ye schulen not do ony seruyle werk ther ynne, and ye schulen offre brent sacrifice to the Lord.

²⁶ And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, In the tenthe day of this seuenthe monethe,

²⁷ the day of clensyngis schal be moost solempne, and it schal be clepid hooli; and ye schulen turmente youre soulis to God, and ye schulen offre brent sacrifice to the Lord;

²⁸ ye schulen not do ony werk in the tyme of this day, for it is the day of the clensyng, that youre Lord God be merciful to you.

²⁹ Ech `man which is not tourmentid in this day, schal perische fro his puplis,

³⁰ and Y schal do a way fro his puple that man that doith eny thing of werk in that dai;

³¹ therfor ye schulen not do ony thing of werk in that dai; it schal be a lawful thing euerlastynge to you in alle youre generaciouns and abitaciouns;

³² it is the sabat of restyng. Ye schulen turmente youre soulis fro the nynthe day of the monethe; fro euentid `til to euentid ye schulen halewe youre sabatis.

³³ And the Lord spak to Moises,

³⁴ and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel, Fro the fiftenthe day of this seuenthe monethe schulen be the feries of tabernaclis, in seuene daies to the Lord;

³⁵ the firste dai schal be clepid moost solempne and moost hooli, ye schulen not do ony seruyle werk ther ynne;

³⁶ and in seuene daies ye schulen offre brent sacrifices to the Lord, and the eiythe dai schal be moost solempne and moost hooli; and ye schulen offre brent sacrifice to the Lord, for it is the day of cumpany, and of gaderyng; ye schulen not do ony seruyle werk ther ynne.

³⁷ These ben the feries of the Lord, whiche ye schulen clepe moost solempne and moost hooli; and in tho ye schulen offre offryngis to the Lord, brent sacrifices, and fletynge offeryngis, bi the custom of ech day,

³⁸ outakun the sabatis of the Lord, and youre yiftys, and whiche ye offren bi avow, ether whiche ye yyuen bi fre wille to the Lord.

³⁹ Therfor fro the fiftenthe day of the seuenthe monethe, whanne ye han gaderid alle the fruytis of youre lond, ye schulen halewe the feries of the Lord seuene daies; in the firste day and the eiyte schal be sabat, that is, reste.

¹⁷ out of your dwellings ye bring in bread of a wave-offering, two loaves, of two tenth deals of flour they are, with yeast they are baken, first -fruits to Jehovah.

¹⁸ 'And ye have brought near, besides the bread, seven lambs, perfect ones, sons of a year, and one bullock, a son of the herd, and two rams; they are a burnt-offering to Jehovah, with their present and their libations, a fire-offering of sweet fragrance to Jehovah.

¹⁹ 'And ye have prepared one kid of the goats for a sin-offering, and two lambs, sons of a year, for a sacrifice of peace-offerings,

²⁰ and the priest hath waved them, besides the bread of the first -fruits — a wave-offering before Jehovah, besides the two lambs; they are holy to Jehovah for the priest;

²¹ and ye have proclaimed on this self-same day: a holy convocation is to you, ye do no servile work — a statute age-during in all your dwellings, to your generations.

²² 'And in your reaping the harvest of your land thou dost not complete the corner of thy field in thy reaping, and the gleaning of thy harvest thou dost not gather, to the poor and to the sojourner thou dost leave them; I Jehovah am your God.'

²³ And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

²⁴ 'Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first of the month, ye have a sabbath, a memorial of shouting, a holy convocation;

²⁵ ye do no servile work, and ye have brought near a fire-offering to Jehovah.'

²⁶ And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

²⁷ 'Only — on the tenth of this seventh month is a day of atonements; ye have a holy convocation, and ye have humbled yourselves, and have brought near a fire-offering to Jehovah;

²⁸ and ye do no work in this self-same day, for it is a day of atonements, to make atonement for you, before Jehovah your God.

²⁹ 'For any person who is not humbled in this self-same day hath even been cut off from his people;

³⁰ and any person who doth any work in this self-same day I have even destroyed that person from the midst of his people;

³¹ ye do no work — a statute age-during to your generations in all your dwellings.

³² It is a sabbath of rest to you, and ye have humbled yourselves in the ninth of the month at even; from evening till evening ye do keep your sabbath.'

³³ And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

³⁴ 'Speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, In the fifteenth day of this seventh month is a feast of booths seven days to Jehovah;

³⁵ on the first day is a holy convocation, ye do no servile work,

³⁶ seven days ye bring near a fire-offering to Jehovah, on the eighth day ye have a holy convocation, and ye have brought near a fire-offering to Jehovah; it is a restraint, ye do no servile work.

³⁷ 'These are appointed seasons of Jehovah, which ye proclaim holy convocations, to bring near a fire-offering to Jehovah, a burnt-offering, and a present, a sacrifice, and libations, a thing of a day in its day,

³⁸ apart from the sabbaths of Jehovah, and apart from your gifts, and apart from all your vows, and apart from all your willing-offerings, which ye give to Jehovah.

³⁹ 'Only — in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, in your gathering the increase of the land, ye do keep the feast of Jehovah seven days; on the first day is a sabbath, and on the eighth day a sabbath;
