⁴ Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am Jehovah your God.

⁵ And when ye offer a sacrifice of peace-offerings unto Jehovah, ye shall offer it that ye may be accepted.

⁶ It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow: and if aught remain until the third day, it shall be burnt with fire.

⁷ And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is an abomination; it shall not be accepted:

⁸ but every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the holy thing of Jehovah: and that soul shall be cut off from his people.

⁹ And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleaning of thy harvest.

¹⁰ And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather the fallen fruit of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and for the sojourner: I am Jehovah your God.

¹¹ Ye shall not steal; neither shall ye deal falsely, nor lie one to another.

¹² And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah.

¹³ Thou shalt not oppress thy neighbor, nor rob him: the wages of a hired servant shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

¹⁴ Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind; but thou shalt fear thy God: I am Jehovah.

¹⁵ Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty; but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbor.

¹⁶ Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbor: I am Jehovah.

¹⁷ Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart: thou shalt surely rebuke thy neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.

¹⁸ Thou shalt not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people; but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am Jehovah.

¹⁹ Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with two kinds of seed: neither shall there come upon thee a garment of two kinds of stuff mingled together.

²⁰ And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to a husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; they shall be punished; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

²¹ And he shall bring his trespass-offering unto Jehovah, unto the door of the tent of meeting, even a ram for a trespass-offering.

²² And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass-offering before Jehovah for his sin which he hath sinned: and the sin which he hath sinned shall be forgiven him.

²³ And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as their uncircumcision: three years shall they be as uncircumcised unto you; it shall not be eaten.

²⁴ But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy, for giving praise unto Jehovah.

²⁵ And in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am Jehovah your God.

²⁶ Ye shall not eat anything with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantments, nor practise augury.

²⁷ Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

²⁸ Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am Jehovah.

²⁹ Profane not thy daughter, to make her a harlot; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.

³⁰ Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am Jehovah.

⁴ Ye shall not follow idols, and ye shall not make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God.

⁵ And if ye will sacrifice a peace-offering to the Lord, ye shall offer it acceptable from yourselves.

¹¹ Ye shall not steal, ye shall not lie, neither shall one bear false witness as an informer against his neighbour.

¹² And ye shall not swear unjustly by my name, and ye shall not profane the holy name of your God: I am the Lord your God.

¹³ Thou shalt not injure thy neighbour, neither do thou rob him, neither shall the wages of thy hireling remain with thee until the morning.

¹⁴ Thou shalt not revile the deaf, neither shalt thou put a stumbling-block in the way of the blind; and thou shalt fear the Lord thy God: I am the Lord your God.

¹⁵ Thou shalt not act unjustly in judgment: thou shalt not accept the person of the poor, nor admire the person of the mighty; with justice shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

¹⁶ Thou shalt not walk deceitfully among thy people; thou shalt not rise up against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the Lord your God.

¹⁷ Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, so thou shalt not bear sin on his account.

¹⁸ And thy hand shall not avenge thee; and thou shalt not be angry with the children of thy people; and thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself; I am the Lord.

¹⁹ Ye shall observe my law: thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with one of a different kind, and thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with diverse seed; and thou shalt not put upon thyself a mingled garment woven of two materials.

²⁰ And if any one lie carnally with a woman, and she should be a home-servant kept for a man, and she has not been ransomed, and her freedom has not been given to her, they shall be visited with punishment; but they shall not die, because she was not set at liberty.

²¹ And he shall bring for his trespass to the Lord to the door of the tabernacle of witness, a ram for a trespass-offering.

²² And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass-offering, before the Lord, for the sin which he sinned; and the sin which he sinned shall be forgiven him.

²³ And whenever ye shall enter into the land which the Lord your God gives you, and shall plant any fruit-tree, then shall ye purge away its uncleanness; its fruit shall be three years uncleansed to you, it shall not be eaten.

²⁴ And in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, a subject of praise to the Lord.

²⁵ And in the fifth year ye shall eat the fruit, its produce is an increase to you. I am the Lord your God.

²⁶ Eat not on the mountains, nor shall ye employ auguries, nor divine by inspection of birds.

²⁷ Ye shall not make a round cutting of the hair of your head, nor disfigure your beard.

²⁸ And ye shall not make cuttings in your body for a dead body, and ye shall not inscribe on yourselves any marks. I am the Lord your God.

²⁹ Thou shalt not profane thy daughter to prostitute her; so the land shall not go a whoring, and the land be filled with iniquity.

²² And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath sinned: and he shall be forgiven for his sin which he hath sinned.

²³ And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as their uncircumcision: three years shall they be as uncircumcised unto you; it shall not be eaten.

⁴ Do not worship idols or make metal statues of gods for yourselves. I am Yahweh, your God, and I am the only one you must worship.

⁵ When you bring an offering to maintain fellowship with me, offer it in a way that will cause me to accept it.

⁶ The meat should be eaten on the day that you sacrifice it, but you are permitted to eat some of it on the next day. Anything that remains until the third/next day must be completely burned.

⁷ For any of it to be eaten on the third day is very displeasing to me, and I will not accept that offering.

⁸ I will punish anyone who eats it after the second day, because he will not have respected what I say is holy. And that person must no longer be allowed to associate with my people.

⁹ When you harvest your grain, leave the grain at the very edge of the field, and do not pick up the grain that has fallen on the ground.

¹⁰ And when you harvest your grapes, do not go back a second time to try to harvest some more, and do not pick up the grapes that have fallen on the ground. Leave those things for the poor people and for foreigners who are living among you. I, Yahweh your God, am commanding those things.

¹¹ Do not steal anything. Do not tell lies. Do not deceive each other.

¹² Do not show that you do not respect me by using/saying my name to falsely promise that you will do something. Do not forget that I am Yahweh, your God.

¹³ Do not cheat anyone or steal from anyone. If you have agreed to pay your workers at the end of the day, do what you have promised; do not keep those wages until the next day.

¹⁴ Do not curse deaf people, and do not put things in the path of blind people to cause them to stumble.

¹⁵ Always LIT judge people fairly DOU. Do not do special favors for either poor people or rich people.

¹⁶ Do not spread false rumors about other people. Do not say anything in court that would result in some innocent person being executed. I, Yahweh, am commanding this.

¹⁷ Do not hate anyone. Instead, honestly rebuke those who ought to be rebuked, in order that you also will not be guilty.

¹⁸ Do not try to get revenge against someone or be angry with someone for a long time. Instead, love other people like you love yourself. I, Yahweh your God, am commanding this.

¹⁹ Obey my laws. Do not allow two different kinds of animals to mate with each other. Do not plant two different kinds of seed in the same field. Do not wear clothing made from two different kinds of material.

²⁰ If a man has sex with a slave woman who has been promised to marry some other man, but she has not been bought by that man and is still a slave, the man who had sex with her must be punished. But because she is still a slave, she and the man who had sex with her must not be killed.

²¹ However, that man must bring a ram to be slaughtered at the entrance of the Sacred Tent area, to be an offering in order that he no longer be guilty for his sin.

²² The priest will offer that ram to me in order that the man will be forgiven for the sin that he committed, and I will forgive him.

²³ When you enter the land that I have promised to give to you, and when you plant various kinds of fruit trees, you must not eat any of their fruit for three years DOU.

²⁴ In the fourth year all of their fruit must be set aside to belong to me; it must be brought to me to be an offering to praise me.

²⁵ But in the fifth/next year, you will be permitted to eat their fruit. If you do that, your trees will produce much fruit. I, Yahweh your God, am promising that.

²⁶ Do not eat any meat that still has the animal's blood in it. Do not consult spirits to find out what will happen in the future, and do not practice sorcery.

²⁷ Do not shave the hair at the sides of your heads like pagan people do.

²⁸ Do not cut your bodies when you are mourning for people who have died, and do not put tattoos on your bodies. I, Yahweh your God, am commanding this.

²⁹ Do not disgrace your daughters by forcing them to become prostitutes. If you cause them to become prostitutes, soon the land will be filled with prostitutes and all other kinds of people's wicked behavior.

³⁰ Honor my Sabbath days and revere my Sacred Tent, because I, Yahweh, live there.

⁶ In what day soever you° shall sacrifice it, it shall be eaten; and on the following day, and if any of it should be left till the third day, it shall be thoroughly burnt with fire.

⁷ And if it should be at all eaten on the third day, it is unfit for sacrifice: it shall not be accepted.

⁸ And he that eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the holy things of the Lord; and the souls that eat it shall be destroyed from amongst their people.

¹⁴ You shall not revile the deaf, neither shall you put a stumbling block in the way of the blind; and you shall fear the Lord your God: I am the Lord your God.

¹⁵ You shall not act unjustly in judgement: you shall not accept the person of the poor, nor admire the person of the mighty; with justice shall you judge your neighbour.

¹⁶ You shall not walk deceitfully amongst your people; you shall not rise up against the blood of your neighbour: I am the Lord your God.

⁷ If any of it is used for food on the third day, it is a disgusting thing and will not be pleasing to the Lord.

⁸ And as for anyone who takes it for food, his sin will be on him, for he has put shame on the holy thing of the Lord: he will be cut off from his people.

⁹ And when you get in the grain from your land, do not let all the grain be cut from the edges of the field, or take up what has been dropped on the earth after the getting in of the grain.

¹⁰ And do not take all the grapes from your vine-garden, or the fruit dropped on the earth; let the poor man, and the man from another country, have these: I am the Lord your God.

¹¹ Do not take anyone's property or be false in act or word to another.

¹² And do not take an oath in my name falsely, putting shame on the name of your God: I am the Lord.

¹³ Do not be cruel to your neighbour or take what is his; do not keep back a servant's payment from him all night till the morning.

¹⁴ Do not put a curse on those who have no hearing, or put a cause of falling in the way of the blind, but keep the fear of your God before you: I am the Lord.

¹⁵ Do no wrong in your judging: do not give thought to the position of the poor, or honour to the position of the great; but be a judge to your neighbour in righteousness.

¹⁶ Do not go about saying untrue things among your people, or take away the life of your neighbour by false witness: I am the Lord.

¹⁷ Let there be no hate in your heart for your brother; but you may make a protest to your neighbour, so that he may be stopped from doing evil.

¹⁸ Do not make attempts to get equal with one who has done you wrong, or keep hard feelings against the children of your people, but have love for your neighbour as for yourself: I am the Lord.

¹⁹ Keep my laws. Do not let your cattle have offspring by those of a different sort; do not put mixed seed into your field; do not put on a robe made of two sorts of cloth.

²⁰ If any man has sex relations with a servant-woman who has given her word to be married to a man, and has not been made free for a price or in any other way, the thing will be looked into; but they will not be put to death because she was not a free woman.

²¹ Let him take his offering for wrongdoing to the Lord, to the door of the Tent of meeting; let him give a male sheep as an offering for wrongdoing.

²² And the priest will take away his sin before the Lord with the sheep which is offered for his wrongdoing, and he will have forgiveness for the sin which he has done.

²³ And when you have come into the land, and have put in all sorts of fruit-trees, their fruit will be as if they had not had circumcision, and for three years their fruit may not be used for food.

²⁴ And in the fourth year all the fruit will be holy as a praise-offering to the Lord.

²⁵ But in the fifth year you may take the fruit and the increase of it for your food: I am the Lord your God.

²⁶ Nothing may be used for food with its blood in it; you may not make use of strange arts, or go in search of signs and wonders.

²⁷ The ends of the hair round your face and on your chin may not be cut off.

²⁸ You may not make cuts in your flesh in respect for the dead, or have marks printed on your bodies: I am the Lord.

²⁹ Do not make your daughter common by letting her become a loose woman, for fear that the land may become full of shame.

³⁰ Keep my Sabbaths and have respect for my holy place: I am the Lord.

⁴ Ye shall not turn unto idols, and ye shall not make to yourselves molten gods: I am Jehovah your God.

²³ And when ye come into the land and plant all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count its fruit as uncircumcised, three years shall it be uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of;

²⁴ and in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy for praise to Jehovah;

²⁵ and in the fifth year shall ye eat the fruit thereof, that it may increase unto you the produce thereof: I am Jehovah your God.

¹⁸ Seek not revenge, nor be mindful of the injury of thy citizens. Thou shalt love thy friend as thyself. I am the Lord.

¹⁹ Keep ye my laws. Thou shalt not make thy cattle to gender with beasts of any other kind. Thou shalt not sow thy field with different seeds. Thou shalt not wear a garment that is woven of two sorts.

²⁰ If a man carnally lie with a woman that is a bondservant and marriageable, and yet not redeemed with a price, nor made free: they both shall be scourged, and they shall not be put to death, because she was not a free woman.

²¹ And for his trespass he shall offer a ram to the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony:

²² And the priest shall pray for him and for his sin before the Lord, and he shall have mercy on him, and the sin shall be forgiven.

²³ When you shall be come into the land, and shall have planted in it fruit trees, you shall take away the firstfruits of them: the fruit that comes forth shall be unclean to you, neither shall you eat of them.

²⁴ But in the fourth year, all their fruit shall be sanctified, to the praise of the Lord.

²⁵ And in the fifth year you shall eat the fruits thereof, gathering the increase thereof. I am the Lord your God.

²⁶ You shall not eat with blood. You shall not divine nor observe dreams.

²⁷ Nor shall you cut your hair roundwise: nor shave your beard.

²⁸ You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh, for the dead, neither shall you make in yourselves any figures or marks: I am the Lord.

²⁹ Make not thy daughter a common strumpet, lest the land be defiled, and filled with wickedness.

³⁰ Keep ye my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary. I am the Lord.

⁴ Don't turn to idols for help or make for metal images of gods. I am the Lord your God.

⁵ When you sacrifice a peace offering to the Lord, make sure you do it correctly so God will accept you.

⁶ It needs to be eaten the day you sacrifice it, or the next day. Whatever is left over on the third day must be burned.

⁷ If you do eat some of it on the third day, the sacrifice becomes repulsive and won't be accepted.

⁸ Anyone who eats it eats it will bear responsibility for their guilt, for they have made unclean what is holy to the Lord. They must be expelled from their people.

⁹ When you harvest the crops grown on your land, don't harvest right up to the edges of your field, or collect what has been missed.

¹⁰ Don't take every last grape from your vineyard or pick up the ones that have fallen. Leave them for the poor people and foreigners. I am the Lord your God.

¹¹ Don't steal. Don't lie. Don't deceive each other.

¹² Don't swear oaths in my name that are not true, otherwise you defame the character of your God. I am the Lord.

¹³ Don't cheat others or rob them. Don't refuse to pay wages due to workers until the morning.

¹⁴ Don't speak badly about deaf people. Don't put objects in the way of blind people to trip them up. Instead show respect to your God. I am the Lord.

¹⁵ Don't be a corrupt judge. Don't show favoritism to the poor or to the rich. Judge others fairly.

¹⁶ Don't go around spreading false rumors about people. Don't keep quiet when the lives of others are at risk. I am the Lord.

¹⁷ Don't hold onto hateful feelings towards others. Talk honestly with your neighbors, so that you don't sin because of them.

¹⁸ Don't look for revenge or hold a grudge against anybody, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

¹⁹ Do what I tell you! Don't make different kinds of livestock breed together. Don't sow your fields with two different kinds of seed. Don't wear clothes made of two different kinds of material.

²⁰ If a man has sex with a servant girl promised to become another man's wife, but who hasn't yet been bought or set free, then compensation has to be paid. However, they are not to be killed, because she hadn't been set free.

²¹ But the man must bring a ram as his guilt offering to the Lord at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting.

²² The priest will set things right for him before the Lord using the ram of the guilt offering for the sin he has committed, and his sin will be forgiven.

²³ When you enter the land and plant any kind of fruit tree, treat the fruit at first as unclean. For three years you are forbidden to eat it.

²⁴ The fourth year all the fruit must be dedicated to the Lord as a praise offering.

²⁵ However, the fifth year you may eat the fruit and in this way you will have an even greater harvest. I am the Lord your God.

²⁶ Don't eat meat with blood in it. Don't use fortune-telling or witchcraft.

²⁷ Don't cut your hair on the sides of your head or trim the sides of your beard,

²⁸ don't cut your bodies in some pagan ritual for the dead, and don't get yourselves tattoos. I am the Lord.

²⁹ Don't bring shame on your daughter by making her a prostitute, otherwise the land will become morally and spiritually depraved.

³⁰ Keep my Sabbaths and show respect for my sanctuary. I am the Lord.

⁴ Ye shall not turne vnto idoles, nor make you molten gods: I am the Lord your God.

⁵ And when yee shall offer a peace offering vnto the Lord, ye shall offer it freely.

⁶ It shall be eaten the day yee offer it, or on the morowe: and that which remaineth vntill the third day, shalbe burnt in the fire.

⁷ For if it be eaten the third day, it shall be vncleane, it shall not be accepted.

⁸ Therefore he that eateth it, shall beare his iniquitie, because he hath defiled the halowed thing of the Lord, and that person shalbe cut off from his people.

¹⁴ Thou shalt not curse the deafe, neither put a stumbling blocke before the blinde, but shalt feare thy God: I am the Lord.

¹⁵ Ye shall not doe vniustly in iudgement. Thou shalt not fauour the person of the poore, nor honour the person of the mightie, but thou shalt iudge thy neighbour iustly.

¹⁶ Thou shalt not walke about with tales among thy people. Thou shalt not stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the Lord.

¹⁷ Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart, but thou shalt plainely rebuke thy neighbour, and suffer him not to sinne.

¹⁸ Thou shalt not auenge, nor be mindful of wrong against ye childre of thy people, but shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe: I am the Lord.

¹⁹ Yee shall keepe mine ordinances. Thou shalt not let thy cattel gender with others of diuers kindes. Thou shalt not sowe thy fielde with mingled seede, neyther shall a garment of diuers thinges, as of linen and wollen come vpon thee.

²² Then the Priest shall make an atonement for him with the ramme of the trespasse offering before the Lord, concerning his sinne which he hath done, and pardon shalbe giuen him for his sinne which he hath committed.

²⁰ And if anyone lie carnally with a woman, and she should be a home servant kept for a man, and she has not been ransomed, and her freedom has not been given to her, they shall be visited with punishment; but they shall not die, because she was not set at liberty.

²⁴ But in the fourth year all the fruit shall be consecrated for thanksgiving before the Lord;

²⁵ And in the fifth year you shall eat the fruit of it, that the fruit may be added (increased) to you. I am the Lord your God.

²⁷ You shall not shave the hair on your head in a circle, nor destroy the hair of thy beard,

²⁸ nor make a cutting for the dead in thy flesh; nor imprint signatures upon you: I am the Lord.

¹⁹ You must keep my commands. Do not try to breed your animals with different kinds of other animals. Do not mix two different kinds of seeds when planting your field. Do not wear clothing made of two kinds of material mixed together.

²⁰ Whoever sleeps with a slave girl who is promised to a husband, but who has not been ransomed or given her freedom, they must be punished. They must not be put to death because she was not free.

³⁰ Keep ye my sabbaths, and dread ye my saintuary; I am the Lord.

⁴ Do not ye be turned to idols, neither ye shall make to you molten gods; I am your Lord God. (Do not ye turn to idols; nor make ye gods out of metal for yourselves; I am the Lord your God.)

⁵ If ye offer a sacrifice of peaceable things to the Lord, that it be quemeful, (If ye offer a peace offering to the Lord, so that it be acceptable,)

⁶ ye shall eat it in that day, in which it is offered, and in the tother day, (or ye shall eat it on the day, on which it is offered, and on the next day); soothly whatever thing is left into the third day, ye shall burn it in (the) fire.

⁷ If any man eateth thereof after two days, he shall be unholy, and guilty of unfaithfulness, either wickedness;

⁸ and he shall bear his wickedness, for he defouled the holy thing of the Lord, and his soul shall perish from his people.

⁹ When thou shalt reap the fruits of thy land, thou shalt not cut till to the ground the corns of the land, neither thou shalt gather the ears of corn that be left; (When thou shalt harvest the fruits of thy land, thou shalt not cut the corners of the land down to the ground, nor shalt thou gather up all the ears of corn that be left;)

¹⁰ neither in thy vineyard thou shalt gather the raisins and the grains falling down, but thou shalt leave them to be gathered of poor men and of pilgrims; I am your Lord God. (nor in thy vineyard shalt thou gather up all the raisins and the grains that fall down, but thou shalt leave them to be gathered up by the poor and by foreigners; I am the Lord your God.)

¹¹ Ye shall not do theft. Ye shall not lie, and no man (shall) deceive his neighbour.

¹² Thou shalt not forswear in my name, neither thou shalt defoul the name of thy God; I am the Lord.

¹³ Thou shalt not make false challenge to thy neighbour, neither thou shalt oppress him by violence. The hire of thy workman shall not dwell with thee unto the morrowtide. (Thou shalt not rob thy neighbour, nor shalt thou oppress him with violence. The wages of thy workman shall not abide with thee until the next morning.)

¹⁴ Thou shalt not curse a deaf man, neither thou shalt set an hurting before a blind man; but thou shalt dread thy Lord God, for I am the Lord. (Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor shalt thou put a cause of stumbling in front of the blind; but thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, for I am the Lord.)

¹⁵ Thou shalt not do that, that is wicked, neither thou shalt deem unjustly; behold thou not the person of a poor man, neither honour thou the face of a mighty man; deem thou justly to thy neighbour (or simply judge thy neighbour justly).

¹⁶ Thou shalt not be a slanderer, that is, a false accuser, neither a privy backbiter in the people (nor a backbiter in private among the people); thou shalt not stand against the blood of thy neighbour; I am the Lord.

¹⁷ Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart, but reprove thou him openly, lest thou have sin on him. (Thou shalt not hate thy brother in private, but rather, rebuke thou him openly, lest thou sin because of him.)

¹⁸ Thou shalt not seek vengeance, neither thou shalt be mindful of the wrong of thy citizens (nor shalt thou remember the wrong-doings of thy fellow citizens); thou shalt love thy friend as thyself; I am the Lord.

¹⁹ Keep ye my laws (or Obey ye my laws). Thou shalt not make thy beasts to engender with the beasts of another kind. Thou shalt not sow a field with diverse seed. Thou shalt not be clothed in a cloth (or a cloak) which is woven of two things.

²⁰ If a man sleepeth with a woman by fleshly knowing of seed, which woman is an handmaid, or bond, yea, a noble woman of kin, and nevertheless is not again-bought by price, neither rewarded with freedom, she shall be beaten or both shall be scourged, and they shall not die, for she was not free. (If a man sleepeth with a woman by fleshly knowing of seed, which woman is a slave-girl, or a bondwoman, and betrothed to another, but nevertheless not bought back with money, or rewarded with freedom, she shall be beaten or both of them shall be scourged, but they shall not die, for she was not free.)

²¹ Soothly the man for his trespass shall offer a ram to the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of witnessing; (And the man shall bring a ram for a trespass offering to the Lord, to the entrance of the Tabernacle of the Witnessing;)

²² and the priest shall pray for him, and for his trespass, before the Lord; and the Lord shall be merciful to him, and the sin shall be forgiven.

²³ When ye have entered into the land of promise, and have planted therein apple trees, ye shall do away the first fruits; (for three years) the apples which those trees bring forth shall be unclean to you, neither ye shall eat of them.

²⁴ Forsooth in the fourth year all the fruit of the trees shall be hallowed and be praiseable to the Lord; (But in the fourth year, all the fruit of the trees shall be declared holy, and shall be given as a gift to the Lord;)

²⁵ forsooth in the fifth year ye shall eat the fruits, and ye shall gather (the) apples, which those trees bring forth; I am your Lord God (or I am the Lord your God).

²⁶ Ye shall not eat flesh with the blood. Ye shall not make vain divining, neither ye shall keep (mind of) dreams (nor shall ye remember, or think upon, dreams);

²⁷ neither ye shall clip the hair round, neither ye shall shave the beard; (nor shall ye round off the ends of your hair, nor shall ye shave off your beard;)

²⁸ and on dead men ye shall not cut your flesh, neither ye shall make to you any figures, either marks in your flesh; I am the Lord. (and ye shall not cut your flesh in mourning for the dead, nor shall ye make any tattoos on yourself, that is, any marks in your flesh; I am the Lord.)

²⁹ Set thou not thy daughter to do lechery for hire, and the land be defouled, and be full-filled with sin. (Do not thou allow thy daughter to go awhoring for hire, so that the land be defiled, and it be filled full with sin.)

³⁰ Keep ye my sabbaths, and dread ye my saintuary (or and revere my sanctuary); I am the Lord.

⁵ If ye offren a sacrifice of pesible thingis to the Lord, that it be quemeful,

⁶ ye schulen ete it in that day, in which it is offrid, and in the tother dai; sotheli what euer thing is residue in to the thridde dai, ye schulen brenne in fier.

⁷ If ony man etith therof aftir twei daes, he schal be vnhooli, and gilti of vnfeithfulnes `ether wickidnesse; and he schal bere his wickidnesse,

⁸ for he defoulide the hooli thing of the Lord, and his soule schal perische fro his puple.

⁹ Whanne thou schalt repe the fruytis of thi lond, thou schalt not kitte `til to the ground the corn of the lond, nether thou schalt gadere the eeris of corn that ben left;

¹⁰ nethir in thi vyner thou schalt gadere reysyns and greynes fallynge doun, but thou schalt leeue to be gaderid of pore men and pilgryms; Y am youre Lord God.

¹⁶ Thou schalt not be a sclaunderere, nether a priuey bacbitere in the puplis; thou schalt not stonde ayens the blood of thi neiybore ; Y am the Lord.

¹⁷ Thou schalt not hate thi brothir in thin herte, but repreue hym opynly, lest thou haue synne on hym.

¹⁸ Thou schalt not seke veniaunce, nether thou schalt be myndeful of the wrong of thi cyteseyns; thou schalt loue thi freend as thi silf; Y am the Lord.

¹⁹ Kepe ye my lawis. Thou schalt not make thi beestis to gendre with the lyuynge beestis of another kynde. Thou schalt not sowe the feeld with dyuerse sede. Thou schalt not be clothid in a cloth, which is wouun of twei thingis.

²⁰ If a man slepith with a womman by fleischly knowyng of seed, which womman is an `hand maide, ye, a noble womman of kyn, and netheles is not ayenbouyt bi prijs, nethir rewardid with fredom, bothe schulen be betun, and thei schulen not die, for sche was not fre.

²¹ Sotheli the man for his trespas schal offre a ram to the Lord, at the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng;

²² and the preest schal preye for hym, and for his trespas, bifor the Lord; and the Lord schal be merciful to hym, and the synne schal be foryouun.

²⁴ Forsothe in the fourthe yeer al the fruyt of tho trees schal be `halewid preiseful to the Lord;

²⁵ forsothe in the fifthe yeer ye schulen ete fruytis, and schulen gadere applis, whiche tho trees bryngen forth; Y am youre Lord God.

²⁶ Ye schulen not ete fleisch with blood. Ye schulen not make veyn diuynyng, nether ye schulen kepe dremes;

²⁷ nether ye schulen clippe the heer in round, nether ye schulen schaue the beerd;

²⁸ and on deed men ye schulen not kitte youre fleischis, nether ye schulen make to you ony fyguris, ether markis in youre fleisch; Y am the Lord.

²⁹ Sette thou not thi douytir to do leccherie for hire, and the lond be defoulid, and be fillid with synne.

³⁰ Kepe ye my sabatis, and drede ye my seyntuarie; Y `am the Lord.

⁴ 'Ye do not turn unto the idols, and a molten god ye do not make to yourselves; I am Jehovah your God.

⁵ 'And when ye sacrifice a sacrifice of peace-offerings to Jehovah, at your pleasure ye do sacrifice it;

⁶ in the day of your sacrificing it is eaten, and on the morrow, and that which is left unto the third day with fire is burnt,

⁷ and if it be really eaten on the third day, it is an abomination, it is not pleasing,

⁸ and he who is eating it his iniquity doth bear, for the holy thing of Jehovah he hath polluted, and that person hath been cut off from his people.

⁹ 'And in your reaping the harvest of your land ye do not completely reap the corner of thy field, and the gleaning of thy harvest thou dost not gather,

¹⁰ and thy vineyard thou dost not glean, even the omitted part of thy vineyard thou dost not gather, to the poor and to the sojourner thou dost leave them; I am Jehovah your God.

¹¹ 'Ye do not steal, nor feign, nor lie one against his fellow.

¹² 'And ye do not swear by My name to falsehood, or thou hast polluted the name of thy God; I am Jehovah.

¹³ 'Thou dost not oppress thy neighbour, nor take plunder; the wages of the hireling doth not remain with thee till morning.

¹⁴ 'Thou dost not revile the deaf; and before the blind thou dost not put a stumbling block; and thou hast been afraid of thy God; I am Jehovah.

¹⁵ 'Ye do not do perversity in judgment; thou dost not lift up the face of the poor, nor honour the face of the great; in righteousness thou dost judge thy fellow.

¹⁶ 'Thou dost not go slandering among thy people; thou dost not stand against the blood of thy neighbour; I am Jehovah.

¹⁷ 'Thou dost not hate thy brother in thy heart; thou dost certainly reprove thy fellow, and not suffer sin on him.

¹⁸ 'Thou dost not take vengeance, nor watch the sons of thy people; and thou hast had love to thy neighbour as thyself; I am Jehovah.

¹⁹ 'My statutes ye do keep: thy cattle thou dost not cause to gender with diverse kinds; thy field thou dost not sow with diverse kinds, and a garment of diverse kinds, shaatnez, doth not go up upon thee.

²⁰ 'And when a man lieth with a woman with seed of copulation, and she a maid-servant, betrothed to a man, and not really ransomed, or freedom hath not been given to her, an investigation there is; they are not put to death, for she is not free.

²¹ 'And he hath brought in his guilt-offering to Jehovah, unto the opening of the tent of meeting, a ram for a guilt-offering,

²² and the priest hath made atonement for him with the ram of the guilt-offering before Jehovah, for his sin which he hath sinned, and it hath been forgiven him because of his sin which he hath sinned.

²³ 'And when ye come in unto the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then ye have reckoned as uncircumcised its fruit, three years it is to you uncircumcised, it is not eaten,

²⁴ and in the fourth year all its fruit is holy — praises for Jehovah.

²⁵ And in the fifth year ye do eat its fruit — to add to you its increase; I am Jehovah your God.

²⁶ 'Ye do not eat with the blood; ye do not enchant, nor observe clouds.

²⁷ 'Ye do not round the corner of your head, nor destroy the corner of thy beard.

²⁸ 'And a cutting for the soul ye do not put in your flesh; and a writing, a cross-mark, ye do not put on you; I am Jehovah.

²⁹ 'Thou dost not pollute thy daughter to cause her to go a-whoring, that the land go not a-whoring, and the land hath been full of wickedness.

³⁰ 'My sabbaths ye do keep, and My sanctuary ye do reverence; I am Jehovah.
