¹³ Thou shalt not oppress thy neighbor, nor rob him: the wages of a hired servant shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

¹⁴ Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind; but thou shalt fear thy God: I am Jehovah.

¹⁵ Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty; but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbor.

¹⁶ Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbor: I am Jehovah.

¹⁷ Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thy heart: thou shalt surely rebuke thy neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.

¹⁸ Thou shalt not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people; but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am Jehovah.

¹⁹ Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with two kinds of seed: neither shall there come upon thee a garment of two kinds of stuff mingled together.

²⁰ And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to a husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; they shall be punished; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

²¹ And he shall bring his trespass-offering unto Jehovah, unto the door of the tent of meeting, even a ram for a trespass-offering.

²² And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass-offering before Jehovah for his sin which he hath sinned: and the sin which he hath sinned shall be forgiven him.

²³ And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as their uncircumcision: three years shall they be as uncircumcised unto you; it shall not be eaten.

²⁴ But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy, for giving praise unto Jehovah.

²⁵ And in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am Jehovah your God.

²⁶ Ye shall not eat anything with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantments, nor practise augury.

²⁷ Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

²⁸ Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am Jehovah.

²⁹ Profane not thy daughter, to make her a harlot; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.

³⁰ Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am Jehovah.

³¹ Turn ye not unto them that have familiar spirits, nor unto the wizards; seek them not out, to be defiled by them: I am Jehovah your God.

³² Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of the old man, and thou shalt fear thy God: I am Jehovah.

³³ And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not do him wrong.

³⁴ The stranger that sojourneth with you shall be unto you as the home-born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt: I am Jehovah your God.

¹⁹ Ye shall observe my law: thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with one of a different kind, and thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with diverse seed; and thou shalt not put upon thyself a mingled garment woven of two materials.

²⁰ And if any one lie carnally with a woman, and she should be a home-servant kept for a man, and she has not been ransomed, and her freedom has not been given to her, they shall be visited with punishment; but they shall not die, because she was not set at liberty.

²¹ And he shall bring for his trespass to the Lord to the door of the tabernacle of witness, a ram for a trespass-offering.

²² And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass-offering, before the Lord, for the sin which he sinned; and the sin which he sinned shall be forgiven him.

²³ And whenever ye shall enter into the land which the Lord your God gives you, and shall plant any fruit-tree, then shall ye purge away its uncleanness; its fruit shall be three years uncleansed to you, it shall not be eaten.

²⁵ And in the fifth year ye shall eat the fruit, its produce is an increase to you. I am the Lord your God.

¹³ Do not cheat anyone or steal from anyone. If you have agreed to pay your workers at the end of the day, do what you have promised; do not keep those wages until the next day.

¹⁴ Do not curse deaf people, and do not put things in the path of blind people to cause them to stumble.

¹⁵ Always LIT judge people fairly DOU. Do not do special favors for either poor people or rich people.

¹⁶ Do not spread false rumors about other people. Do not say anything in court that would result in some innocent person being executed. I, Yahweh, am commanding this.

¹⁷ Do not hate anyone. Instead, honestly rebuke those who ought to be rebuked, in order that you also will not be guilty.

¹⁸ Do not try to get revenge against someone or be angry with someone for a long time. Instead, love other people like you love yourself. I, Yahweh your God, am commanding this.

¹⁹ Obey my laws. Do not allow two different kinds of animals to mate with each other. Do not plant two different kinds of seed in the same field. Do not wear clothing made from two different kinds of material.

²⁰ If a man has sex with a slave woman who has been promised to marry some other man, but she has not been bought by that man and is still a slave, the man who had sex with her must be punished. But because she is still a slave, she and the man who had sex with her must not be killed.

²¹ However, that man must bring a ram to be slaughtered at the entrance of the Sacred Tent area, to be an offering in order that he no longer be guilty for his sin.

²² The priest will offer that ram to me in order that the man will be forgiven for the sin that he committed, and I will forgive him.

²³ When you enter the land that I have promised to give to you, and when you plant various kinds of fruit trees, you must not eat any of their fruit for three years DOU.

²⁴ In the fourth year all of their fruit must be set aside to belong to me; it must be brought to me to be an offering to praise me.

²⁵ But in the fifth/next year, you will be permitted to eat their fruit. If you do that, your trees will produce much fruit. I, Yahweh your God, am promising that.

²⁶ Do not eat any meat that still has the animal's blood in it. Do not consult spirits to find out what will happen in the future, and do not practice sorcery.

²⁷ Do not shave the hair at the sides of your heads like pagan people do.

²⁸ Do not cut your bodies when you are mourning for people who have died, and do not put tattoos on your bodies. I, Yahweh your God, am commanding this.

²⁹ Do not disgrace your daughters by forcing them to become prostitutes. If you cause them to become prostitutes, soon the land will be filled with prostitutes and all other kinds of people's wicked behavior.

³⁰ Honor my Sabbath days and revere my Sacred Tent, because I, Yahweh, live there.

³¹ Do not seek advice from those who ◄consult/talk with► the spirits of dead people DOU, because if you do that, they will defile you. I, Yahweh your God, am the one you should consult.

³² Stand up when old people enter the room, and show that you respect them, and also revere me, your God; that is what I, Yahweh, am commanding.

³³ When foreigners live among you in your land, do not mistreat them.

³⁴ You must treat them like you treat your fellow-citizens. Love them like you love yourselves, and do not forget that once, when you were foreigners in Egypt, you were badly mistreated by the people of Egypt. I, Yahweh your God, am commanding you to do this.

¹⁷ Let there be no hate in your heart for your brother; but you may make a protest to your neighbour, so that he may be stopped from doing evil.

¹⁸ Do not make attempts to get equal with one who has done you wrong, or keep hard feelings against the children of your people, but have love for your neighbour as for yourself: I am the Lord.

¹⁹ Keep my laws. Do not let your cattle have offspring by those of a different sort; do not put mixed seed into your field; do not put on a robe made of two sorts of cloth.

²⁰ If any man has sex relations with a servant-woman who has given her word to be married to a man, and has not been made free for a price or in any other way, the thing will be looked into; but they will not be put to death because she was not a free woman.

²¹ Let him take his offering for wrongdoing to the Lord, to the door of the Tent of meeting; let him give a male sheep as an offering for wrongdoing.

²² And the priest will take away his sin before the Lord with the sheep which is offered for his wrongdoing, and he will have forgiveness for the sin which he has done.

²³ And when you have come into the land, and have put in all sorts of fruit-trees, their fruit will be as if they had not had circumcision, and for three years their fruit may not be used for food.

²⁴ And in the fourth year all the fruit will be holy as a praise-offering to the Lord.

²⁵ But in the fifth year you may take the fruit and the increase of it for your food: I am the Lord your God.

²⁶ Nothing may be used for food with its blood in it; you may not make use of strange arts, or go in search of signs and wonders.

²⁷ The ends of the hair round your face and on your chin may not be cut off.

²⁸ You may not make cuts in your flesh in respect for the dead, or have marks printed on your bodies: I am the Lord.

²⁹ Do not make your daughter common by letting her become a loose woman, for fear that the land may become full of shame.

³⁰ Keep my Sabbaths and have respect for my holy place: I am the Lord.

³¹ Do not go after those who make use of spirits, or wonder-workers; do not go in their ways or become unclean through them: I am the Lord your God.

³² Get up from your seats before the white-haired, and give honour to the old, and let the fear of your God be before you: I am the Lord.

³³ And if a man from another country is living in your land with you, do not make life hard for him;

³⁴ Let him be to you as one of your countrymen and have love for him as for yourself; for you were living in a strange land, in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

²¹ And he shall bring his trespass-offering to Jehovah, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, a ram for a trespass-offering.

²² And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass-offering before Jehovah for his sin which he hath done; and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.

²³ And when ye come into the land and plant all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count its fruit as uncircumcised, three years shall it be uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of;

²⁴ and in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy for praise to Jehovah;

²⁵ and in the fifth year shall ye eat the fruit thereof, that it may increase unto you the produce thereof: I am Jehovah your God.

²⁹ — Do not profane thy daughter, to give her up to whoredom; lest the land practise whoredom, and the land become full of infamy.

³⁰ — My sabbaths shall ye keep, and my sanctuary shall ye reverence: I am Jehovah.

³¹ — Turn not unto necromancers and unto soothsayers; seek not after them to make yourselves unclean: I am Jehovah your God.

³² Before the hoary head thou shalt rise up, and shalt honour the face of an old man; and thou shalt fear thy God: I am Jehovah.

³³ And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not molest him.

³¹ Go not aside after wizards, neither ask any thing of soothsayers, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.

³² Rise up before the hoary head, and honour the person of the aged man: and fear the Lord thy God. I am the Lord.

³³ If a stranger dwell in your land, and abide among you, do not upbraid him:

³⁴ But let him be among you as one of the same country: and you shall love him as yourselves: for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

¹³ Don't cheat others or rob them. Don't refuse to pay wages due to workers until the morning.

¹⁴ Don't speak badly about deaf people. Don't put objects in the way of blind people to trip them up. Instead show respect to your God. I am the Lord.

¹⁵ Don't be a corrupt judge. Don't show favoritism to the poor or to the rich. Judge others fairly.

¹⁶ Don't go around spreading false rumors about people. Don't keep quiet when the lives of others are at risk. I am the Lord.

¹⁷ Don't hold onto hateful feelings towards others. Talk honestly with your neighbors, so that you don't sin because of them.

¹⁸ Don't look for revenge or hold a grudge against anybody, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

¹⁹ Do what I tell you! Don't make different kinds of livestock breed together. Don't sow your fields with two different kinds of seed. Don't wear clothes made of two different kinds of material.

²⁰ If a man has sex with a servant girl promised to become another man's wife, but who hasn't yet been bought or set free, then compensation has to be paid. However, they are not to be killed, because she hadn't been set free.

²¹ But the man must bring a ram as his guilt offering to the Lord at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting.

²² The priest will set things right for him before the Lord using the ram of the guilt offering for the sin he has committed, and his sin will be forgiven.

²³ When you enter the land and plant any kind of fruit tree, treat the fruit at first as unclean. For three years you are forbidden to eat it.

²⁴ The fourth year all the fruit must be dedicated to the Lord as a praise offering.

²⁵ However, the fifth year you may eat the fruit and in this way you will have an even greater harvest. I am the Lord your God.

²⁶ Don't eat meat with blood in it. Don't use fortune-telling or witchcraft.

²⁷ Don't cut your hair on the sides of your head or trim the sides of your beard,

²⁸ don't cut your bodies in some pagan ritual for the dead, and don't get yourselves tattoos. I am the Lord.

²⁹ Don't bring shame on your daughter by making her a prostitute, otherwise the land will become morally and spiritually depraved.

³⁰ Keep my Sabbaths and show respect for my sanctuary. I am the Lord.

³¹ Don't try and find help from mediums or spiritists—don't even go looking for them, otherwise they will corrupt you. I am the Lord your God.

³² Stand up and be respectful of older people. Show reverence for your God. I am the Lord.

³³ Don't mistreat foreigners who live in your country.

³⁴ Treat them in the same way as a fellow citizen, and love them as you love yourself, because you were once foreigners living in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

²² Then the Priest shall make an atonement for him with the ramme of the trespasse offering before the Lord, concerning his sinne which he hath done, and pardon shalbe giuen him for his sinne which he hath committed.

³² Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD.

³⁴ But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be to you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

²⁰ “‘If a man lies carnally with a woman who is a slave girl, pledged to be married to another man, and not ransomed or given her freedom; they shall be punished. They shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

²¹ He shall bring his trespass offering to the LORD, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, even a ram for a trespass offering.

²² The priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he has committed; and the sin which he has committed shall be forgiven him.

²³ “‘When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as forbidden. For three years it shall be forbidden to you. It shall not be eaten.

²⁴ But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, for giving praise to the LORD.

²⁵ In the fifth year you shall eat its fruit, that it may yield its increase to you. I am the LORD your God.

²⁶ “‘You shall not eat any meat with the blood still in it. You shall not use enchantments, nor practice sorcery.

²⁷ “‘You shall not cut the hair on the sides of your head or clip off the edge of your beard.

²⁸ “‘You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you. I am the LORD.

²⁹ “‘Don’t profane your daughter, to make her a prostitute; lest the land fall to prostitution, and the land become full of wickedness.

³¹ “‘Don’t turn to those who are mediums, nor to the wizards. Don’t seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.

¹⁶ Thou shalt not be a slanderer, that is, a false accuser, neither a privy backbiter in the people; thou shalt not stand against the blood of thy neighbour; I am the Lord.

¹⁷ Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart, but reprove thou him openly, lest thou have sin on him.

¹⁸ Thou shalt not seek vengeance, neither thou shalt be mindful of the wrong of thy citizens; thou shalt love thy friend as thyself; I am the Lord.

¹⁹ Keep ye my laws. Thou shalt not make thy beasts to engender with the beasts of another kind. Thou shalt not sow a field with diverse seed. Thou shalt not be clothed in a cloth which is woven of two things.

²⁰ If a man sleepeth with a woman by fleshly knowing of seed, which woman is an handmaid, or bond, yea, a noble woman of kin, and nevertheless is not again-bought by price, neither rewarded with freedom, she shall be beaten or both shall be scourged, and they shall not die, for she was not free.

²¹ Soothly the man for his trespass shall offer a ram to the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of witnessing;

²² and the priest shall pray for him, and for his trespass, before the Lord; and the Lord shall be merciful to him, and the sin shall be forgiven.

²³ When ye have entered into the land of promise, and have planted therein apple trees, ye shall do away the first fruits; the apples which those trees bring forth shall be unclean to you, neither ye shall eat of them.

²⁴ Forsooth in the fourth year all the fruit of the trees shall be hallowed and be praiseable to the Lord;

²⁵ forsooth in the fifth year ye shall eat the fruits, and ye shall gather apples, which those trees bring forth; I am your Lord God.

²⁶ Ye shall not eat flesh with the blood. Ye shall not make vain divining, neither ye shall keep dreams;

²⁷ neither ye shall clip the hair round, neither ye shall shave the beard;

²⁸ and on dead men ye shall not cut your flesh, neither ye shall make to you any figures, either marks in your flesh; I am the Lord.

²⁹ Set thou not thy daughter to do lechery for hire, and the land be defouled, and be full-filled with sin.

³⁰ Keep ye my sabbaths, and dread ye my saintuary; I am the Lord.

³¹ Bow ye not to astronomers or astrologers, neither ask ye anything of false diviners, that ye be defouled by them; I am your Lord God.

³² Rise thou before an hoar head, and honour thou the person of an eld or old man, and dread thou thy Lord God; I am the Lord.

³³ If a comeling dwelleth in your land, and abideth among you, despise ye not him,

³⁴ but be he among you as a man born in the land; and ye shall love him as yourself, for also ye were comelings in the land of Egypt; I am your Lord God.

¹⁵ Thou shalt not do that, that is wicked, neither thou shalt deem unjustly; behold thou not the person of a poor man, neither honour thou the face of a mighty man; deem thou justly to thy neighbour (or simply judge thy neighbour justly).

²⁸ and on dead men ye shall not cut your flesh, neither ye shall make to you any figures, either marks in your flesh; I am the Lord. (and ye shall not cut your flesh in mourning for the dead, nor shall ye make any tattoos on yourself, that is, any marks in your flesh; I am the Lord.)

³¹ Bow ye not to astronomers, neither ask ye anything of false diviners, that ye be defouled by them; I am your Lord God. (Do not ye turn to astrologers, nor ask ye anything of those who claim to contact the dead, so that ye be defiled by them; I am the Lord your God.)

(but let him be among you like anyone born in the land; and ye shall love him like yourself, for ye were once newcomers in Egypt; I am the Lord your God.)

¹⁷ Thou schalt not hate thi brothir in thin herte, but repreue hym opynly, lest thou haue synne on hym.

¹⁸ Thou schalt not seke veniaunce, nether thou schalt be myndeful of the wrong of thi cyteseyns; thou schalt loue thi freend as thi silf; Y am the Lord.

¹⁹ Kepe ye my lawis. Thou schalt not make thi beestis to gendre with the lyuynge beestis of another kynde. Thou schalt not sowe the feeld with dyuerse sede. Thou schalt not be clothid in a cloth, which is wouun of twei thingis.

²⁰ If a man slepith with a womman by fleischly knowyng of seed, which womman is an `hand maide, ye, a noble womman of kyn, and netheles is not ayenbouyt bi prijs, nethir rewardid with fredom, bothe schulen be betun, and thei schulen not die, for sche was not fre.

²¹ Sotheli the man for his trespas schal offre a ram to the Lord, at the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng;

²² and the preest schal preye for hym, and for his trespas, bifor the Lord; and the Lord schal be merciful to hym, and the synne schal be foryouun.

²³ Whanne ye han entrid in to the lond of biheest, and han plauntid therynne appil trees, ye schulen do awei the firste flouris; the applis whiche tho trees bryngen forth, schulen be vncleene to you, nethir ye schulen ete of tho.

²⁴ Forsothe in the fourthe yeer al the fruyt of tho trees schal be `halewid preiseful to the Lord;

²⁵ forsothe in the fifthe yeer ye schulen ete fruytis, and schulen gadere applis, whiche tho trees bryngen forth; Y am youre Lord God.

²⁶ Ye schulen not ete fleisch with blood. Ye schulen not make veyn diuynyng, nether ye schulen kepe dremes;

²⁷ nether ye schulen clippe the heer in round, nether ye schulen schaue the beerd;

²⁸ and on deed men ye schulen not kitte youre fleischis, nether ye schulen make to you ony fyguris, ether markis in youre fleisch; Y am the Lord.

²⁹ Sette thou not thi douytir to do leccherie for hire, and the lond be defoulid, and be fillid with synne.

³⁰ Kepe ye my sabatis, and drede ye my seyntuarie; Y `am the Lord.

³¹ Bowe ye not to astronomyers, nether axe ye ony thing of fals dyuynours, that ye be defoulid bi hem; Y am youre Lord God.

¹⁶ 'Thou dost not go slandering among thy people; thou dost not stand against the blood of thy neighbour; I am Jehovah.

¹⁷ 'Thou dost not hate thy brother in thy heart; thou dost certainly reprove thy fellow, and not suffer sin on him.

¹⁸ 'Thou dost not take vengeance, nor watch the sons of thy people; and thou hast had love to thy neighbour as thyself; I am Jehovah.

¹⁹ 'My statutes ye do keep: thy cattle thou dost not cause to gender with diverse kinds; thy field thou dost not sow with diverse kinds, and a garment of diverse kinds, shaatnez, doth not go up upon thee.

²⁰ 'And when a man lieth with a woman with seed of copulation, and she a maid-servant, betrothed to a man, and not really ransomed, or freedom hath not been given to her, an investigation there is; they are not put to death, for she is not free.

²¹ 'And he hath brought in his guilt-offering to Jehovah, unto the opening of the tent of meeting, a ram for a guilt-offering,

²² and the priest hath made atonement for him with the ram of the guilt-offering before Jehovah, for his sin which he hath sinned, and it hath been forgiven him because of his sin which he hath sinned.

²³ 'And when ye come in unto the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then ye have reckoned as uncircumcised its fruit, three years it is to you uncircumcised, it is not eaten,

²⁴ and in the fourth year all its fruit is holy — praises for Jehovah.

²⁵ And in the fifth year ye do eat its fruit — to add to you its increase; I am Jehovah your God.

²⁶ 'Ye do not eat with the blood; ye do not enchant, nor observe clouds.

²⁷ 'Ye do not round the corner of your head, nor destroy the corner of thy beard.

²⁸ 'And a cutting for the soul ye do not put in your flesh; and a writing, a cross-mark, ye do not put on you; I am Jehovah.

²⁹ 'Thou dost not pollute thy daughter to cause her to go a-whoring, that the land go not a-whoring, and the land hath been full of wickedness.

³⁰ 'My sabbaths ye do keep, and My sanctuary ye do reverence; I am Jehovah.

³¹ 'Ye do not turn unto those having familiar spirits; and unto wizards ye do not seek, for uncleanness by them; I am Jehovah your God.

³² 'At the presence of grey hairs thou dost rise up, and thou hast honoured the presence of an old man, and hast been afraid of thy God; I am Jehovah.

³³ 'And when a sojourner sojourneth with thee in your land, thou dost not oppress him;

³⁴ as a native among you is the sojourner to you who is sojourning with you, and thou hast had love to him as to thyself, for sojourners ye have been in the land of Egypt; I am Jehovah your God.
