⁹ The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or the daughter of thy mother, whether born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.

¹⁰ The nakedness of thy son’s daughter, or of thy daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.

¹¹ The nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

¹² Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister: she is thy father’s near kinswoman.

¹³ Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: for she is thy mother’s near kinswoman.

¹⁴ Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt.

²⁴ Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out from before you;

²⁵ and the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land vomiteth out her inhabitants.

²⁶ Ye therefore shall keep my statutes and mine ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the home-born, nor the stranger that sojourneth among you

²⁷ (for all these abominations have the men of the land done, that were before you, and the land is defiled);

²⁸ that the land vomit not you out also, when ye defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.

²⁹ For whosoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.

¹⁸ Thou shalt not take a wife in addition to her sister, as a rival, to uncover her nakedness in opposition to her, while she is yet living.

¹⁹ And thou shalt not go in to a woman under separation for her uncleanness, to uncover her nakedness.

²⁰ And thou shalt not lie with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her.

²¹ And thou shalt not give of thy seed to serve a ruler; and thou shalt not profane my holy name; I am the Lord.

²² And thou shalt not lie with a man as with a woman, for it is an abomination.

²³ Neither shalt thou lie with any quadruped for copulation, to be polluted with it: neither shall a woman present herself before any quadruped to have connexion with it; for it is an abomination.

²⁴ Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for in all these things the nations are defiled, which I drive out before you,

²⁵ and the land is polluted; and I have recompensed their iniquity to them because of it, and the land is aggrieved with them that dwell upon it.

²⁶ And ye shall keep all my statutes and all my ordinances, and ye shall do none of these abominations; neither the native, nor the stranger that joins himself with you:

²⁷ (for all these abominations the men of the land did who were before you, and the land was defiled,)

²⁸ and lest the land be aggrieved with you in your polluting it, as it was aggrieved with the nations before you.

²⁹ For whosoever shall do any of these abominations, the souls that do them shall be destroyed from among their people.

⁹ Do not have sex with your sister or your stepsister; it does not matter whether she was born in your house or somewhere else.

¹⁰ Do not have sex with your granddaughter, because that would disgrace you.

¹¹ Do not have sex with your half-sister, because she is your sister.

¹² Do not have sex with your father's sister, because she is your father's close relative.

¹³ Do not have sex with your mother's sister, because she is your mother's close relative.

¹⁴ Do not disgrace your ◄uncle/father's brother►by having sex with his wife, because she is your aunt.

¹⁵ Do not have sex with DOU your daughter-in-law, because she is your son's wife.

¹⁶ Do not have sex with your brother's wife, because that would disgrace your brother.

¹⁷ Do not have sex with the daughter or granddaughter of any woman whom you have previously had sex with; they are her (OR, your) close relatives. Having sex with any of them would be a wicked thing to do.

¹⁸ While your wife is still living, do not marry your wife's sister and have sex with her.

¹⁹ Do not have sex with any woman while she is having her monthly menstrual period.

²⁰ Do not ◄defile yourself/make yourself unacceptable to me► by having sex with someone else's wife.

²¹ Do not give any of your children to be burned to be a sacrifice to the god Molech, because that would show that you do not revere me MTY, Yahweh, your God.

²² No man should have sex with another man; that is detestable.

²³ No one, man or woman, should ◄defile himself/cause himself to become unacceptable to me► by having sex with an animal; that is a perverse act.

²⁴ Do not ◄defile yourselves/cause yourselves to become unacceptable to me► in any of those ways, because doing those things is how the people of the nations that I expelled as you advanced became ◄unacceptable to me/defiled►.

²⁵ They even caused the land to become defiled, so I punished them for their sins, and it was as though the land vomited out the people who lived there.

²⁶ You must all obey my laws and decrees. That includes you people who were born here and the foreigners who live among you.

²⁷ All those detestable things were done by the people who lived in this land before you came here, and they caused the land to become defiled.

²⁸ So if you defile the land, I will get rid of MET you like I got rid of the people of those nations that were here before you came.

²⁹ You must not allow people who do any of those detestable things to associate with you who are my people.

¹⁸ And you may not take as wife a woman and at the same time her sister, to be in competition with her in her life-time.

¹⁹ And you may not go near a woman or have sex relations with her when she is unclean, at her regular time.

²⁰ And you may not have sex relations with your neighbour's wife, making yourself unclean with her.

²¹ And you may not make any of your children go through the fire as an offering to Molech, and you may not put shame on the name of your God: I am the Lord.

²² You may not have sex relations with men, as you do with women: it is a disgusting thing.

²³ And you may not have sex relations with a beast, making yourself unclean with it; and a woman may not give herself to a beast: it is an unnatural act.

²⁴ Do not make yourself unclean in any of these ways; for so have those nations whom I am driving out from before you made themselves unclean:

²⁵ And the land itself has become unclean; so that I have sent on it the reward of its wrongdoing, and the land itself puts out those who are living in it.

²⁶ So then keep my rules and my decisions, and do not do any of these disgusting things, those of you who are Israelites by birth, or any others who are living with you:

²⁷ (For all these disgusting things were done by the men of this country who were there before you, and the land has been made unclean by them;)

²⁸ So that the land may not put you out from it, when you make it unclean, as it put out the nations which were there before you.

²⁹ For all those who do any of these disgusting things will be cut off from among their people.

¹⁴ Don't bring shame on your uncle by having sex with his wife. She is your aunt.

¹⁶ Don't have sex with your brother's wife and bring shame on your brother.

¹⁷ Don't have sex with both a woman and her daughter. Don't have sex with her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter. They are her close relatives. That is something I loathe.

¹⁸ Don't marry your wife's sister and have sex with her while your wife is still alive. They will be hostile wives to one other.

¹⁹ Don't have sex with a woman during the time she is unclean because of her period.

²⁰ Don't commit any sex act with any other man's wife. This would pollute you and make you unclean.

²¹ Don't give any of your children as a human sacrifice to Molech, for you must not disgrace the character of your God. I am the Lord.

²⁴ A woman must not give herself to an animal to have sex with it. That is something disgusting. Don't pollute yourselves and make yourselves unclean by doing anything like this. That's the reason I'm expelling these nations from the land—they polluted themselves because of all these practices.

²⁵ Even the land has become polluted, so I am punishing it for the sins committed by the people who live there, and the land will vomit them out.

²⁶ You, however, must do what I tell you and keep my rules. You must not do any of these disgusting acts, whether an Israelite or a foreigner living among you.

²⁷ The people who lived in the land before you practiced all these disgusting things, and the land became polluted.

²⁸ If you pollute the land, it will vomit you out just like it did the nations before you.

²⁹ Consequently anyone who does any of these disgusting things must be expelled from their people.

(Thou shalt not do lechery with any beast, nor shalt thou be defiled with it. A woman shall not lie under a beast, nor shall be mixed together with it, that is, be defiled by fleshly knowing of it, for it is a great sin.)

²⁴ Be ye not defouled in all these things, in which all folks, either heathen men, be defouled, which folks I shall cast out before your sight, (Do not ye be defiled with any of these things, in which all the nations, or all the heathen, be defiled, which nations I shall throw out before you,)

²⁵ of whom the land is defouled, of which land I shall visit the great sins (of them upon it), that it vomit, or throw out, his dwellers. (by whom the land is defiled, of which land I shall visit their great sins upon it, so that it vomit, or throw out, its inhabitants.)

²⁶ Keep ye my lawful things, and my dooms, that ye do not any of all these abominations, as well a man born in the land, as a comeling that is a pilgrim with you. (Obey ye my laws, and my judgements, so that ye do not do any of these abominations, yea, anyone born in the land, as well as a newcomer who is a foreigner, or a stranger, among you.)

²⁷ For the dwellers of the land, that were before you, did all (of) these abominations, and defouled that land.

²⁸ Therefore beware, lest it cast out vilely you in the same manner, when ye shall do such sins, as it casted out vilely the folk, that was before you. (And so beware, lest when ye shall do such sins, it vilely throw you out, in the same manner as it hath vilely thrown out the people, who were before you.)

²⁹ Each man that shall do anything of these abominations, shall perish from the midst of his people.

⁹ Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of thi sistir, of fadir `ether of modir, which sister is gendrid at hoome ether without forth.

¹⁰ Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of the douyter of thi sone, ether of neece of thi douyter, for it is thi filthe.

¹¹ Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of the douyter of the wijf of thi fadir, which sche childide to thi fadir, and is thi sistir.

¹² Thou schalt not opene the filthe of the `sister of thi fadir, for sche is the fleisch of thi fadir.

¹³ Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of the sistir of thi modir, for sche is the fleisch of thi modir.

¹⁴ Thou schalt not shewe the filthe of the brothir of thi fadir, nethir thou schalt neiye to his wijf, which is ioyned to thee bi affinyte.

¹⁵ Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of thi sones wijf, for sche is the wijf of thi sone, nether thou schalt diskiuere hir schenschip; and no man take his brotheris wijf.

¹⁶ Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of `the wijf of thi brother, for it is the filthe of thi brothir.

¹⁷ Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of thi wijf, and of hir douyter; thou schalt not take the douytir of hir sone, and the douytir of hir douyter, that thou schewe hir schenschip; thei ben the fleisch of hir, and siche letcherie is incest.

¹⁸ Thou schalt not take `the sister of thi wijf, in to concubynage of hir, nethir thou schalt schewe `the filthe of hir, while thi wijf lyueth yit.

¹⁹ Thou schalt not neiye to a womman that suffrith rennyng of blood of monethe, nethir thou schalt schewe hir filthe.

²⁰ Thou schalt not do letcherie with `the wijf of thi neiybore, nether thou schalt be defoulid with medlyng of seed.

²¹ Thou schalt not yyue of thi seed, that it be offrid to the idol Moloch, nether thou schalt defoule the name of thi God; Y am the Lord.

²² Thou schalt not be medlid with a man bi letcherie of womman, for it is abhomynacioun.

²³ Thou schalt not do letcherie with ony beeste, nethir thou schalt be defoulid with it. A womman schal not ligge vnder a beeste, nether schal be medlid therwith, for it is greet synne.

²⁴ Be ye not defoulid in alle these thingis, in whiche alle `folkis, ether hethen men, ben defoulid, whiche folkis Y schal caste out bifor youre siyt,

²⁵ of whiche the lond is defoulid, of which lond Y schal vysyte the grete synnes, that it spewe out hise dwellers.

²⁶ Kepe ye my lawful thingis and domes, that ye do not of alle these abhomynaciouns, as wel a man borun in the lond as a comelyng which is a pilgrym at you.

²⁷ For the dwellers of the lond, that weren bifor you, diden alle these abhomynaciouns, and defouliden that lond.

²⁸ Therfor be ye war, lest it caste out viliche also you in lijk manere, whanne ye han do lijk synnes, as it castide out vileche the folk, that was bifor you.

²⁹ Ech man that doith ony thing of these abhomynaciouns, schal perische fro the myddis of his puple.

⁹ 'The nakedness of thy sister, daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, born at home or born without; thou dost not uncover their nakedness.

¹⁰ 'The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter: thou dost not uncover their nakedness; for theirs is thy nakedness.

¹¹ 'The nakedness of a daughter of thy father's wife, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister; thou dost not uncover her nakedness.

¹² 'The nakedness of a sister of thy father thou dost not uncover; she is a relation of thy father.

¹³ 'The nakedness of thy mother's sister thou dost not uncover; for she is thy mother's relation.

¹⁴ 'The nakedness of thy father's brother thou dost not uncover; unto his wife thou dost not draw near; she is thine aunt.

¹⁵ 'The nakedness of thy daughter-in-law thou dost not uncover; she is thy son's wife; thou dost not uncover her nakedness.

¹⁶ 'The nakedness of thy brother's wife thou dost not uncover; it is thy brother's nakedness.

¹⁷ 'The nakedness of a woman and her daughter thou dost not uncover; her son's daughter, and her daughter's daughter thou dost not take to uncover her nakedness; they are her relations; it is wickedness.

¹⁸ 'And a woman unto another thou dost not take, to be an adversary, to uncover her nakedness beside her, in her life.

¹⁹ 'And unto a woman in the separation of her uncleanness thou dost not draw near to uncover her nakedness.

²⁰ 'And unto the wife of thy fellow thou dost not give thy seed of copulation, for uncleanness with her.

²¹ 'And of thy seed thou dost not give to pass over to the Molech; nor dost thou pollute the name of thy God; I am Jehovah.

²² 'And with a male thou dost not lie as one lieth with a woman; abomination it is.

²³ 'And with any beast thou dost not give thy copulation, for uncleanness with it; and a woman doth not stand before a beast to lie down with it; confusion it is.

²⁴ 'Ye are not defiled with all these, for with all these have the nations been defiled which I am sending away from before you;

²⁵ and the land is defiled, and I charge its iniquity upon it, and the land vomiteth out its inhabitants:

²⁶ and ye — ye have kept My statutes and My judgments, and do not any of all these abominations, the native and the sojourner who is sojourning in your midst,

²⁷ (for all these abominations have the men of the land done who are before you, and the land is defiled),

²⁸ and the land doth not vomit you out in your defiling it, as it hath vomited out the nation which is before you;

²⁹ for any one who doth any of all these abominations — even the persons who are doing so, have been cut off from the midst of their people;
