⁸ And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and bathe himself in water; and he shall be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, but shall dwell outside his tent seven days.

⁹ And it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.

¹⁰ And on the eighth day he shall take two he-lambs without blemish, and one ewe-lamb a year old without blemish, and three tenth parts of an ephah of fine flour for a meal-offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.

¹¹ And the priest that cleanseth him shall set the man that is to be cleansed, and those things, before Jehovah, at the door of the tent of meeting.

¹² And the priest shall take one of the he-lambs, and offer him for a trespass-offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave-offering before Jehovah:

¹³ and he shall kill the he-lamb in the place where they kill the sin-offering and the burnt-offering, in the place of the sanctuary: for as the sin-offering is the priest’s, so is the trespass-offering: it is most holy.

¹⁴ And the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass-offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.

¹⁵ And the priest shall take of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand;

¹⁶ and the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before Jehovah.

¹⁷ And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass-offering:

¹⁸ and the rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make atonement for him before Jehovah.

¹⁹ And the priest shall offer the sin-offering, and make atonement for him that is to be cleansed because of his uncleanness: and afterward he shall kill the burnt-offering;

²⁰ and the priest shall offer the burnt-offering and the meal-offering upon the altar: and the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

²¹ And if he be poor, and cannot get so much, then he shall take one he-lamb for a trespass-offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, and one tenth part of an ephah of fine flour mingled with oil for a meal-offering, and a log of oil;

²² and two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to get; and the one shall be a sin-offering, and the other a burnt-offering.

²³ And on the eighth day he shall bring them for his cleansing unto the priest, unto the door of the tent of meeting, before Jehovah:

²⁴ and the priest shall take the lamb of the trespass-offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave-offering before Jehovah.

²⁵ And he shall kill the lamb of the trespass-offering; and the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass-offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.

²⁶ And the priest shall pour of the oil into the palm of his own left hand;

²⁷ and the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before Jehovah:

²⁸ and the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the trespass-offering:

²⁹ and the rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before Jehovah.

³⁰ And he shall offer one of the turtle-doves, or of the young pigeons, such as he is able to get,

³¹ even such as he is able to get, the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, with the meal-offering: and the priest shall make atonement for him that is to be cleansed before Jehovah.

³² This is the law of him in whom is the plague of leprosy, who is not able to get that which pertaineth to his cleansing.

³³ And Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

³⁴ When ye are come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put the plague of leprosy in a house of the land of your possession;

³⁵ then he that owneth the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, There seemeth to me to be as it were a plague in the house.

³⁶ And the priest shall command that they empty the house, before the priest goeth in to see the plague, that all that is in the house be not made unclean: and afterward the priest shall go in to see the house:

³⁷ and he shall look on the plague; and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the house with hollow streaks, greenish or reddish, and the appearance thereof be lower than the wall;

³⁸ then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days.

³⁹ And the priest shall come again the seventh day, and shall look; and, behold, if the plague be spread in the walls of the house;

⁴⁰ then the priest shall command that they take out the stones in which the plague is, and cast them into an unclean place without the city:

⁴¹ and he shall cause the house to be scraped within round about, and they shall pour out the mortar, that they scrape off, without the city into an unclean place:

⁴² and they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other mortar, and shall plaster the house.

⁴³ And if the plague come again, and break out in the house, after that he hath taken out the stones, and after he hath scraped the house, and after it is plastered;

⁴⁴ then the priest shall come in and look; and, behold, if the plague be spread in the house, it is a fretting leprosy in the house: it is unclean.

⁴⁵ And he shall break down the house, the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the mortar of the house; and he shall carry them forth out of the city into an unclean place.

⁴⁶ Moreover he that goeth into the house all the while that it is shut up shall be unclean until the even.

⁴⁷ And he that lieth in the house shall wash his clothes; and he that eateth in the house shall wash his clothes.

⁴⁸ And if the priest shall come in, and look, and, behold, the plague hath not spread in the house, after the house was plastered; then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.

⁴⁹ And he shall take to cleanse the house two birds, and cedar-wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:

⁵⁰ and he shall kill one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water:

⁵¹ and he shall take the cedar-wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times:

⁵² and he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar-wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet:

⁵³ but he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open field: so shall he make atonement for the house; and it shall be clean.

⁵⁴ This is the law for all manner of plague of leprosy, and for a scall,

⁵⁵ and for the leprosy of a garment, and for a house,

¹¹ And the priest that cleanses shall present the man under purification, and these offerings before the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of witness.

¹² And the priest shall take one lamb, and offer him for a trespass-offering, and the cup of oil, and set them apart for a special offering before the Lord.

¹³ And they shall kill the lamb in the place where they kill the whole-burnt-offerings, and the sin-offerings, in the holy places; for it is a sin-offering: as the trespass-offering, it belongs to the priest, it is most holy.

¹⁴ And the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass-offering, and the priest shall put it on the tip of the right ear of the person under cleansing, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot.

¹⁵ And the priest shall take of the cup of oil, and shall pour it upon his own left hand.

¹⁶ And he shall dip with the finger of his right hand into some of the oil that is in his left hand, and he shall sprinkle with his finger seven times before the Lord.

¹⁷ And the remaining oil that is in his hand, the priest shall put on the tip of the right ear of him that is under cleansing, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the trespass-offering.

¹⁸ And the remaining oil that is on the hand of the priest, the priest shall put on the head of the cleansed leper, and the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord.

¹⁹ And the priest shall sacrifice the sin-offering, and the priest shall make atonement for the person under purification to cleanse him from his sin, and afterwards the priest shall slay the whole-burnt-offering.

²⁰ And the priest shall offer the whole-burnt-offering, and the sacrifice upon the altar before the Lord; and the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be cleansed.

²¹ And if he should be poor, and cannot afford so much, he shall take one lamb for his transgression for a separate-offering, so as to make propitiation for him, and a tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a sacrifice, and one cup of oil,

²² and two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, as he can afford; and the one shall be for a sin-offering, and the other for a whole-burnt-offering.

²³ And he shall bring them on the eighth day, to purify him, to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of witness before the Lord.

²⁴ And the priest shall take the lamb of the trespass-offering, and the cup of oil, and place them for a set-offering before the Lord.

²⁵ And he shall slay the lamb of the trespass-offering; and the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass-offering, and put it on the tip of the right ear of him that is under purification, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot.

²⁶ And the priest shall pour of the oil on his own left hand.

²⁷ And the priest shall sprinkle with the finger of his right hand some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before the Lord.

²⁸ And the priest shall put of the oil that is on his hand on the tip of the right ear of him that is under purification, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the trespass-offering.

²⁹ And that which is left of the oil which is on the hand of the priest he shall put on the head of him that is purged, and the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord.

³⁰ And he shall offer one of the turtle-doves or of the young pigeons, as he can afford it,

³¹ the one for a sin-offering, the other for a whole-burnt-offering with the meat-offering, and the priest shall make an atonement before the Lord for him that is under purification.

³² This is the law for him in whom is the plague of leprosy, and who cannot afford the offerings for his purification.

³³ And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,

³⁴ Whensoever ye shall enter into the land of the Chananites, which I give you for a possession, and I shall put the plague of leprosy in the houses of the land of your possession;

³⁵ then the owner of the house shall come and report to the priest, saying, I have seen as it were a plague in the house.

³⁶ And the priest shall give orders to remove the furniture of the house, before the priest comes in to see the plague, and thus none of the things in the house shall become unclean; and afterwards the priest shall go in to examine the house.

³⁷ And he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague is in the walls of the house, he will see greenish or reddish cavities, and the appearance of them will be beneath the surface of the walls.

³⁸ And the priest shall come out of the house to the door of the house, and the priest shall separate the house seven days.

³⁹ And the priest shall return on the seventh day and view the house; and, behold, if the plague is spread in the walls of the house,

⁴⁰ then the priest shall give orders, and they shall take away the stones in which the plague is, and shall cast them out of the city into an unclean place.

⁴¹ And they shall scrape the house within round about, and shall pour out the dust scraped off outside the city into an unclean place.

⁴² And they shall take other scraped stones, and put them in the place of the former stones, and they shall take other plaster and plaster the house.

⁴³ And if the plague should return again, and break out in the house after they have taken away the stones and after the house is scraped, and after it has been plastered,

⁴⁴ then the priest shall go in and see if the plague is spread in the house: it is a confirmed leprosy in the house, it is unclean.

⁴⁵ And they shall take down the house, and its timbers and its stones, and they shall carry out all the mortar without the city into an unclean place.

⁴⁶ And he that goes into the house at any time, during its separation, shall be unclean until evening.

⁴⁷ And he that sleeps in the house shall wash his garments, and be unclean until evening; and he that eats in the house shall wash his garments, and be unclean until evening.

⁴⁸ And if the priest shall arrive and enter and see, and behold the plague be not at all spread in the house after the house has been plastered, then the priest shall declare the house clean, because the plague is healed.

⁴⁹ And he shall take to purify the house two clean living birds, and cedar wood, and spun scarlet, and hyssop.

⁵⁰ And he shall slay one bird in an earthen vessel over running water.

⁵¹ And he shall take the cedar wood, and the spun scarlet, and the hyssop, and the living bird; and shall dip it into the blood of the bird slain over running water, and with them he shall sprinkle the house seven times.

⁵² And he shall purify the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the spun scarlet.

⁵³ And he shall let the living bird go out of the city into the field, and shall make atonement for the house, and it shall be clean.

⁵⁴ This is the law concerning every plague of leprosy and scurf,

⁵⁵ and of the leprosy of a garment, and of a house,

⁴⁵ And he shall break down the house, the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the morter of the house; and he shall carry them forth out of the city into an unclean place.

⁴⁶ Moreover he that goeth into the house all the while that it is shut up shall be unclean until the even.

⁴⁷ And he that lieth in the house shall wash his clothes; and he that eateth in the house shall wash his clothes.

⁴⁸ And if the priest shall come in, and look upon it, and, behold, the plague hath not spread in the house, after the house was plaistered: then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.

⁵³ But he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open fields, and make an atonement for the house: and it shall be clean.

⁵⁴ This is the law for all manner of plague of leprosy, and scall,

⁵⁵ And for the leprosy of a garment, and of a house,

⁸ and the man that has been cleansed shall wash his garments, and shall shave off all his hair, and shall wash himself in water, and shall be clean; and after that he shall go into the camp, and shall remain out of his house seven days.

¹⁶ And he shall dip with the finger of his right hand into some of the oil that is in his left hand, and he shall sprinkle with his finger seven times before the Lord.

¹⁷ And the remaining oil that is in his hand, the priest shall put on the tip of the right ear of him that is under cleansing, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the trespass-offering.

¹⁸ And the remaining oil that is on the hand of the priest, the priest shall put on the head of the cleansed leper, and the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord.

¹⁹ And the priest shall sacrifice the sin-offering, and the priest shall make atonement for the person under purification to cleanse him from his sin, and afterwards the priest shall kill the whole burnt offering.

²⁰ And the priest shall offer the whole burnt offering, and the sacrifice upon the altar before the Lord; and the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be cleansed.

²¹ And if he should be poor, and can’t afford so much, he shall take one lamb for his transgression for a separate-offering, so as to make propitiation for him, and a tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a sacrifice, and one cup of oil,

²² and two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, as he can afford; and the one shall be for a sin-offering, and the other for a whole burnt offering.

³⁷ And he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague is in the walls of the house, he will see greenish or reddish cavities, and the appearance of them will be beneath the surface of the walls.

³⁸ And the priest shall come out of the house to the door of the house, and the priest shall separate the house seven days.

³⁹ And the priest shall return on the seventh day and view the house; and, behold, if the plague is spread in the walls of the house,

⁴⁰ then the priest shall give orders, and they shall take away the stones in which the plague is, and shall cast them out of the city into an unclean place.

⁴¹ And they shall scrape the house within round about, and shall pour out the dust scraped off outside the city into an unclean place.

⁴² And they shall take other scraped stones, and put them in the place of the former stones, and they shall take other plaster and plaster the house.

⁴³ And if the plague should return again, and break out in the house after they have taken away the stones and after the house is scraped, and after it has been plastered,

⁴⁴ then the priest shall go in and see if the plague is spread in the house: it is a confirmed leprosy in the house, it is unclean.

⁴⁵ And they shall take down the house, and its timbers and its stones, and they shall carry out all the mortar without the city into an unclean place.

⁴⁶ And he that goes into the house at any time, during its separation, shall be unclean until evening.

⁴⁷ And he that sleeps in the house shall wash his garments, and be unclean until evening; and he that eats in the house shall wash his garments, and be unclean until evening.

⁴⁸ and if the priest shall arrive and enter and see, and behold the plague be not at all spread in the house after the house has been plastered, then the priest shall declare the house clean, because the plague is healed.

⁴⁹ And he shall take to purify the house two clean living birds, and cedar wood, and spun scarlet, and hyssop.

¹² and the priest shall take one of the he-lambs, and offer him for a guilt offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:

¹³ and he shall kill the he-lamb in the place where they kill the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the place of the sanctuary: for as the sin offering is the priest’s, so is the guilt offering: it is most holy:

¹⁴ and the priest shall take of the blood of the guilt offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:

¹⁵ and the priest shall take of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand:

¹⁶ and the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the LORD:

¹⁷ and of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the guilt offering:

¹⁸ and the rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make atonement for him before the LORD.

¹⁹ And the priest shall offer the sin offering, and make atonement for him that is to be cleansed because of his uncleanness; and afterward he shall kill the burnt offering:

²⁰ and the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meal offering upon the altar: and the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

²¹ And if he be poor, and cannot get so much, then he shall take one he-lamb for a guilt offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, and one tenth part of an ephah of fine flour mingled with oil for a meal offering, and a log of oil;

²² and two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to get; and the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.

²⁹ and the rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before the LORD.

⁴² and they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other mortar, and shall plaister the house.

¹⁰ The next day that person must bring two male lambs and one female lamb that is one-year-old, all of them with no defects. He must also bring six quarts/liters of fine flour, mixed with olive oil, to be an offering, and ◄0.6 pint/0.3 liter► of olive oil.

¹¹ The priest who declares that the person's skin disease is ended must bring that person, and his offerings, to me, Yahweh, at the entrance of the Sacred Tent.

¹² Then the priest must take one of the male lambs and lift it up, along with the olive oil, in front of me, to be a guilt offering— an offering for his being guilty for not giving to me the things that he was required to give me.

¹³ Then the priest must slaughter the lamb in the sacred place where the other sacrifices are offered. Like the offering to enable people to be forgiven, this guilt offering is holy, and belongs to the priest.

¹⁴ The priest must take some of the blood of that animal and pour it on the lobe/tip of the right ear and on the thumb of the right hand and on the big toe of the right foot of the one who has been healed of the skin disease.

¹⁵ Then the priest must take some of the olive oil and pour it in the palm of his own left hand.

¹⁶ Then he must dip the forefinger of his right hand into the oil in his palm, and sprinkle it in front of me seven times.

¹⁷ Then he must put some of the oil that is still in the palm of his hand on the lobe/tip of the right ear and the thumb of the right hand and on the big toe of the right foot of the person who has been healed of the skin disease. He must put it on top of the blood that he has already put on those places.

¹⁸ The remaining oil in his palm must be put on the person's head, to indicate that I declare that the person has been forgiven for having sinned.

¹⁹ Then the priest must slaughter one of the other two animals, to show that the one who has been healed of the skin disease has been forgiven for having sinned, and that he has become acceptable to Yahweh. Then the priest will slaughter the animal that will be completely burned on the altar.

²⁰ He will also put on the altar the offering of grain, to indicate that the person has been forgiven for having sinned. Then that person will be allowed to be with other people again.

²¹ But if the person who has been healed of a skin disease is poor and cannot afford to bring all those animals, he must take to the priest one male lamb to be lifted up to be an offering for his not giving to me the things that he was required to give me. He must also take two quarts/liters of fine flour mixed with olive oil to be an offering made from grain, ◄0.6 pint/0.3 liter► of olive oil,

²² and two doves or two young pigeons, one for him to be forgiven for the sins he has committed, and one to be completely burned on the altar.

²³ On that same day, that person must take those things to the priest at the entrance of the Sacred Tent, to offer them to Yahweh.

²⁴ The priest will take the lamb for the offering for that person not giving to me the things that he was required to give me, along with the olive oil, and lift them up in front of me.

²⁵ Then the priest will slaughter that lamb and drain some of the blood in a bowl, and take some of it and put it on the lobe/tip of the person's right ear and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.

²⁶ Then the priest will pour some of the oil into the palm of his left hand,

²⁷ and with his right forefinger he must sprinkle some of the oil from his palm there in my presence.

²⁸ He must put some of the oil in his palm on the same places where he put the blood.

²⁹ He must put the rest of the oil that is in his hand on the head of the person who has been healed of a skin disease, to indicate that I have forgiven him for having sinned.

³⁰ Then the priest must sacrifice the doves or the pigeons, whichever that person has brought.

³¹ One will be an offering for sin and the other will be completely burned on the altar, along with the offering of grain. By doing that, the priest will declare that the person is no longer guilty for having sinned.

³² Those are the regulations for anyone who has a contagious skin disease and who is poor and cannot afford the usual offerings, in order that he can be with people again.”

³³ Yahweh also said to Aaron and Moses/me,

³⁴ “I am about to give you Canaan land to belong to your people permanently. When you enter that land, there will be times when I cause/allow mildew to appear inside one of your houses.

³⁵ If that happens, the owner of that house must go to the priest and tell him, ‘There is something in my house that looks like mildew.’

³⁶ Then the priest will say to him, ‘Take everything out of the house before I enter the house to examine the mildew. If you do not do that, I will declare that everything in the house is contaminated.’

³⁷ After the owner takes everything outside of his house, the priest will go in and inspect the house. If the mildew has caused greenish or reddish spots/depressions on the walls that seem to be deeper than only on the surface of the walls,

³⁸ the priest will go outside the house and lock it up for seven days.

³⁹ On the seventh day, he must go into the house and inspect it again. If the mildew on the walls has spread,

⁴⁰ the priest will tell someone to tear out and throw in the dump outside the town all the stones in the walls that have mildew on them.

⁴¹ Then the owner must scrape all the walls inside the house, and everything that is scraped off must be thrown into a dump outside the town.

⁴² Then the owner must get new/other stones to replace the ones that had mildew on them, and take new clay and plaster to cover the stones in the walls of the house.

⁴³ If the mildew appears again in the house after that is done,

⁴⁴ the priest must go and examine the house again. If the mildew has spread inside the house, it will be clear that the mildew is the kind that destroys houses, and no one will be allowed to live in it.

⁴⁵ It must be completely torn down—the stones, the timber and the plaster—and all those things must be thrown into a dump outside the town.

⁴⁶ Anyone who goes into that house while it is locked up will not be allowed to be with other people until sunset of that day.

⁴⁷ Anyone who sleeps in that house or eats in that house during that time must wash his clothes.

⁴⁸ But when the priest comes to examine the house after it has been plastered, if the mildew has not spread, he shall declare that people may live in it, because the mildew is gone.

⁴⁹ But before people are allowed to live in it, the priest must take two small birds and some cedar wood and some red/scarlet yarn and some hyssop.

⁵⁰ He must kill one of the birds while holding it over a clay pot containing water from a spring.

⁵¹ Then he must take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the red/scarlet yarn, and the other/living bird, and dip them into the blood of the dead bird, and sprinkle some of that blood on the house seven times.

⁵² By doing all those things he will cause the house to be acceptable to be lived in again.

⁵³ Then he must release the other bird and allow it to fly away. By doing that, he will finish the ritual for causing the house to be acceptable for people to live in it again.

⁵⁴ Those are the regulations for contagious diseases, for itching sores,

⁵⁵ for mildew DOU on clothes or in a house,

³⁷ And he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague is in the walls of the house, he will see greenish or reddish cavities, and the appearance of them will be beneath the surface of the walls.

³⁸ And the priest shall come out of the house to the door of the house, and the priest shall separate the house seven days.

³⁹ And the priest shall return on the seventh day and view the house; and, behold, if the plague is spread in the walls of the house,

⁴⁰ then the priest shall give orders, and they shall take away the stones in which the plague is, and shall cast them out of the city into an unclean place.

⁴¹ And they shall scrape the house within round about, and shall pour out the dust scraped off outside the city into an unclean place.

⁴² And they shall take other scraped stones, and put them in the place of the former stones, and they shall take other plaster and plaster the house.

⁴³ And if the plague should return again, and break out in the house after they have taken away the stones and after the house is scraped, and after it has been plastered,

⁴⁴ then the priest shall go in and see if the plague is spread in the house: it is a confirmed leprosy in the house, it is unclean.

⁴⁵ And they shall take down the house, and its timbers and its stones, and they shall carry out all the mortar without the city into an unclean place.

⁴⁶ And he that goes into the house at any time, during its separation, shall be unclean until evening.

⁴⁷ And he that sleeps in the house shall wash his garments, and be unclean until evening; and he that eats in the house shall wash his garments, and be unclean until evening.

⁴⁸ and if the priest shall arrive and enter and see, and behold the plague be not at all spread in the house after the house has been plastered, then the priest shall declare the house clean, because the plague is healed.

⁴⁹ And he shall take to purify the house two clean living birds, and cedar wood, and spun scarlet, and hyssop.

⁵⁰ And he shall kill one bird in an earthen vessel over running water.

³⁷ He shall examine the plague; and behold, if the plague is in the walls of the house with hollow streaks, greenish or reddish, and it appears to be deeper than the wall,

³⁸ then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days.

³⁹ The priest shall come again on the seventh day, and look. If the plague has spread in the walls of the house,

¹¹ And the priest who is making him clean will put the man who is being made clean, together with these things, before the door of the Tent of meeting.

¹² And the priest is to take one of the male lambs and give it as an offering for wrongdoing, and the log of oil, waving them for a wave offering before the Lord;

¹³ And he is to put the male lamb to death in the place where they put to death the sin-offering and the burned offering, in the holy place; for as the sin-offering is the property of the priest, so is the offering for wrongdoing: it is most holy.

¹⁴ And let the priest take some of the blood of the offering for wrongdoing and put it on the point of the right ear of him who is to be made clean, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the great toe of his right foot;

¹⁵ And take some of the oil and put it in the hollow of his left hand;

¹⁶ And let the priest put his right finger in the oil which is in his left hand, shaking it out with his finger seven times before the Lord;

¹⁷ And of the rest of the oil which is in his hand, the priest will put some on the point of the right ear of the man who is to be made clean, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the great toe of his right foot, over the blood of the offering for wrongdoing;

¹⁸ And the rest of the oil in the priest's hand he will put on the head of him who is to be made clean; and so the priest will make him free from sin before the Lord.

¹⁹ And the priest will give the sin-offering, and take away the sin of him who is to be made clean from his unclean condition; and after that he will put the burned offering to death.

²⁰ And the priest is to have the burned offering and the meal offering burned on the altar; and the priest will take away his sin and he will be clean.

²¹ And if he is poor and not able to get so much, then he may take one male lamb as an offering for wrongdoing, to be waved to take away his sin, and one tenth part of an ephah of the best meal mixed with oil for a meal offering, and a log of oil;

²⁷ Shaking out drops of oil with his right finger before the Lord seven times:

²⁸ And the priest will put some of the oil which is in his hand on the point of the ear of the man who is to be made clean and on the thumb of his right hand and on the great toe of his right foot, on the place where the blood of the offering for wrongdoing was put;

²⁹ And the rest of the oil which is in the priest's hand he will put on the head of him who is to be made clean, to take away his sin before the Lord.

³⁰ And he will make an offering of one of the doves or the young pigeons, such as he is able to get;

³¹ And of these, he will give one for a sin-offering and one for a burned offering, with the meal offering; and the priest will take away the sin of him who is to be made clean before the Lord.

³² This is the law for the man who has the disease of the leper on him, and who is not able to get that which is necessary for making himself clean.

³⁵ Then let the owner of the house come and say to the priest, It seems to me that there is a sort of leper's disease in the house.

³⁶ And the priest will give orders for everything to be taken out of the house, before he goes in to see the disease, so that the things in the house may not become unclean; and then the priest is to go in to see the house;

³⁷ And if he sees that the walls of the house are marked with hollows of green and red, and if it seems to go deeper than the face of the wall;

³⁸ Then the priest will go out of the door of the house, and keep the house shut up for seven days:

³⁹ And the priest is to come again on the seventh day and have a look and see if the marks on the walls of the house are increased in size;

⁴⁰ Then the priest will give orders to them to take out the stones in which the disease is seen, and put them out into an unclean place outside the town:

⁴¹ And he will have the house rubbed all over inside, and the paste which is rubbed off will be put out into an unclean place outside the town:

⁴² And they will take other stones and put them in place of those stones, and he will take other paste and put it on the walls of the house.

⁴³ And if the disease comes out again in the house after he has taken out the stones and after the walls have been rubbed and the new paste put on,

⁴⁴ Then the priest will come and see it; and if the disease in the house is increased in size, it is the leper's disease working out in the house: it is unclean.

⁴⁵ And the house will have to be pulled down, the stones of it and the wood and the paste; and everything is to be taken out to an unclean place outside the town.

⁴⁶ And, in addition, anyone who goes into the house at any time, while it is shut up, will be unclean till evening.

⁴⁷ And anyone who has been sleeping in the house will have to have his clothing washed; and anyone who takes food in that house will have to have his clothing washed.

⁴⁸ And if the priest comes in, and sees that the disease is not increased after the new paste has been put on the house, then the priest will say that the house is clean, because the disease is gone.

⁴⁹ And in order to make the house clean, let him take two birds and cedar-wood and red thread and hyssop;

⁵⁰ And put one of the birds to death in a vessel of earth over flowing water;

⁵¹ And take the cedar-wood and the hyssop and the red thread and the living bird and put them in the blood of the dead bird and in the flowing water, shaking it over the house seven times.

⁵² And he will make the house clean with the blood of the bird and the flowing water and with the living bird and with the cedar-wood and the hyssop and the red thread.

⁵³ But he will let the living bird go out of the town into the open country; so he will take away sin from the house and it will be clean.

⁵⁴ This is the law for all signs of the leper's disease and for skin diseases;

⁵⁵ And for signs of disease in clothing, or in a house;

⁸ And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his garments, and shave all his hair, and bathe in water, and he shall be clean; and afterwards shall he come into the camp, and shall abide outside his tent seven days.

⁹ And it shall come to pass on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair, his head, and his beard, and his eyebrows, even all his hair shall he shave, and he shall wash his garments, and shall bathe his flesh in water, and he is clean.

¹⁰ And on the eighth day he shall take two he-lambs without blemish, and one yearling ewe-lamb without blemish, and three tenth parts of fine flour mingled with oil, for an oblation, and one log of oil.

¹¹ And the priest that cleanseth him shall present the man that is to be cleansed and those things before Jehovah, at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

¹² And the priest shall take one he-lamb, and present it for a trespass-offering, and the log of oil, and wave them as a wave-offering before Jehovah.

¹³ And he shall slaughter the he-lamb at the place where the sin-offering and the burnt-offering are slaughtered, in a holy place; for as the sin-offering, so the trespass-offering is the priest's: it is most holy.

¹⁴ And the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass-offering, and the priest shall put it on the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot.

¹⁵ And the priest shall take of the log of oil, and pour it into his, the priest's, left hand;

¹⁶ and the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before Jehovah.

¹⁷ And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put on the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass-offering.

¹⁸ And the remainder of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, and the priest shall make atonement for him before Jehovah.

¹⁹ And the priest shall offer the sin-offering, and make atonement for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterwards shall he slaughter the burnt-offering.

²⁰ And the priest shall offer the burnt-offering and the oblation upon the altar; and the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

²¹ But if he be poor, and his hand be not able to get it, then he shall take one lamb for a trespass-offering, for a wave-offering, to make atonement for him; and one tenth part of fine flour mingled with oil for an oblation; and a log of oil,

²² and two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, as his hand may be able to get: the one shall be a sin-offering, and the other a burnt-offering.

²³ And he shall bring them on the eighth day of his cleansing unto the priest, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, before Jehovah.

²⁴ And the priest shall take the he-lamb of the trespass-offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them as a wave-offering before Jehovah.

²⁵ And he shall slaughter the he-lamb of the trespass-offering; and the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass-offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot.

²⁶ And the priest shall pour of the oil into his, the priest's, left hand,

²⁷ and the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before Jehovah.

²⁸ And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the trespass-offering.

²⁹ And the remainder of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before Jehovah.

³⁰ And he shall offer one of the turtle-doves, or of the young pigeons, of what his hand was able to get;

³¹ of what his hand was able to get shall the one be a sin-offering, and the other a burnt-offering, with the oblation; and the priest shall make atonement for him that is to be cleansed before Jehovah.

³² This is the law for him in whom is the sore of leprosy, whose hand cannot get what is regularly prescribed in his cleansing.

³³ And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

³⁴ When ye come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put a leprous plague in a house of the land of your possession,

³⁵ then he whose house it is shall come and tell the priest, saying, It seemeth to me like a plague in the house;

³⁶ and the priest shall command that they empty the house before the priest go into it to see the plague, that all that is in the house be not made unclean; and afterwards the priest shall go in to see the house.

³⁷ And when he looketh on the plague, and behold, the plague is in the walls of the house, greenish or reddish hollows, and their look is deeper than the surface of the wall,

³⁸ then the priest shall go out of the house to the entrance of the house, and shut up the house seven days.

³⁹ And the priest shall come again the seventh day, and when he looketh, and behold, the plague hath spread in the walls of the house,

⁴⁰ then the priest shall command that they take away the stones in which the plague is, and they shall cast them out of the city, in an unclean place.

⁴¹ And he shall cause the house to be scraped within round about, and they shall pour out the mortar that they have scraped off, out of the city in an unclean place.

⁴² And they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and they shall take other mortar, and shall plaster the house.

⁴³ And if the plague come again, and break out in the house, after he hath taken away the stones, and after he hath scraped the house, and after it is plastered,

⁴⁴ then the priest shall come, and when he looketh, and behold, the plague hath spread in the house, it is a corroding leprosy in the house: it is unclean.

⁴⁵ And they shall break down the house, the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the mortar of the house, and shall carry them forth out of the city to an unclean place.

⁴⁶ And he that goeth into the house as long as it is shut up shall be unclean until the even.

⁴⁷ And he that sleepeth in the house shall wash his garments, and he that eateth in the house shall wash his garments.

⁴⁸ But if the priest shall come in and look, and behold, the plague hath not spread in the house, after the house hath been plastered, the priest shall pronounce the house clean; for the plague is healed.

⁴⁹ And he shall take, to purge the house from the defilement, two birds, and cedar-wood, and scarlet, and hyssop;

⁵⁰ and he shall kill one bird in an earthen vessel over running water;

⁵¹ and he shall take the cedar-wood and the hyssop and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the bird that was killed, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times;

⁵² and he shall purge the house from the defilement with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar-wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet;

⁵³ and he shall let the living bird loose out of the city into the open field; and he shall make atonement for the house, and it is clean.

⁵⁴ This is the law for every sore of leprosy, and for the scall,

⁵⁵ and for the leprosy of garments, and of houses,

⁸ And when the man hath washed his clothes, he shall shave all the hair of his body, and shall be washed with water: and being purified, he shall enter into the camp, yet so that he tarry without his own tent seven days:

⁹ And on the seventh day he shall shave the hair of his head, and his beard and his eyebrows, and the hair of all his body. And having washed again his clothes, and his body,

¹⁰ On the eighth day he shall take two lambs without blemish, and an ewe of a year old without blemish, and three tenths of flour tempered with oil for a sacrifice, and a sextary of oil apart.

¹¹ And when the priest that purifieth the man, hath presented him, and all these things before the Lord, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony,

¹² He shall take a. lamb, and offer it for a trespass offering with the sextary of oil: and having offered all before the Lord,

¹³ He shall immolate the lamb, where the victim for sin is wont to be immolated, and the holocaust, that is, in the holy place: for as that which is for sin, so also the victim for a trespass offering pertaineth to the priest: it is holy of holies.

¹⁴ And the priest taking of the blood of the victim that was immolated for trespass, shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot:

¹⁵ And he shall pour of the sextary of oil into his own left. hand,

¹⁶ And shall dip his right finger in it, and sprinkle it before the Lord seven times.

¹⁷ And the rest of the oil in his left band, he shall pour upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot, and upon the blood that was shed for trespass,

¹⁸ And upon his head.

¹⁹ And he shall pray for him before the Lord, and shall offer the sacrifice for sin: then shall he immolate the holocaust,

²⁰ And put it on the altar with the libations thereof, and the man shall be rightly cleansed.

²¹ But if he be poor, and his hand cannot find the things aforesaid: he shall take a lamb for an offering for trespass, that the priest may pray for him, and a tenth part of hour tempered with oil for a sacrifice, and a sextary of oil,

²² And two turtles or two young pigeons, of which one may be for sin, and the other for a holocaust:

²³ And he shall offer them on the eighth day of his purification to the priest, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony before the Lord.

²⁴ And the priest receiving the lamb for trespass, and the sextary of oil, shall elevate them together.

²⁵ And the lamb being immolated, he shall put of the blood thereof upon the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and the great toe of his right foot:

²⁶ But he shall pour part of the oil into his own left hand,

²⁷ And dipping the finger of his right hand in it, he shall sprinkle it seven times before the Lord:

²⁸ And he shall touch the tip of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and the thumb of his right hand and the great toe of his right foot, in the place of the blood that was shed for trespass.

²⁹ And the other part of the oil that is in his left hand, he shall pour upon the head of the purified person, that he may appease the Lord for him.

³⁰ And he shall offer a turtle, or young pigeon,

³¹ One for trespass, and the other for a holocaust, with their libations.

³² This is the sacrifice of a leper, that is not able to have all things that appertain to his cleansing.

³³ And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:

³⁸ He shall go out of the door of the house, and forthwith shut it up seven days,

³⁹ And returning on the seventh day, he shall look upon it. If he find that the leprosy is spread,

⁴⁰ He shall command, that the stones wherein the leprosy is, be taken out, and cast without the city into an unclean place:

⁴¹ And that the house be scraped on the inside round about, and the dust of the scraping be scattered without the city into an unclean place:

⁴² And that other stones be laid in the place of them that were taken away, and the house be plastered with other mortar.

⁴³ But if, after the stones be taken out, and the dust scraped off, and it be plastered with other earth,

⁴⁴ The priest going in perceive that the leprosy is returned, and the walls full of spots, it is a lasting leprosy, and the house is unclean:

⁴⁵ And they shall destroy it forthwith, and shall cast the stones and timber thereof, and all the dust without the town into an unclean place.

⁴⁶ He that entereth into the house when it is shut, shall be unclean until evening,

⁴⁷ And he that sleepeth in it, and eateth any thing, shall wash his clothes.

⁴⁸ But if the priest going in perceive that the leprosy is not spread in the house, after it was plastered again, he shall purify it, it being cured,

⁴⁹ And for the purification thereof he shall take two sparrows, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:

⁵⁰ And having immolated one sparrow In an earthen vessel over living waters,

⁵¹ He shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living sparrow, and shall dip all in the blood of the sparrow that is immolated, and in the living water, and he shall sprinkle the house seven times:

⁵² And shall purify it as well with the blood of the sparrow, as with the living water, and with the living sparrow, and with the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet.

⁵³ And when he hath let go the sparrow to fly freely away into the field, he shall pray for the house, and it shall be rightly cleansed.

⁵⁴ This is the law of every kind of leprosy and stroke.

⁵⁵ Of the leprosy of garments and houses,

⁸ The one being made clean must wash their clothes, shave off all their hair, and wash themselves with water; then they will be will be ceremonially clean. After that they can enter the camp, but they must stay outside their tent for seven days.

⁹ On the seventh day they must shave off all their hair: their head, beard, eyebrows, and the rest of their hair. They must wash their clothes and wash themselves with water, and they will be clean.

¹⁰ On the eighth day they are to bring two male lambs and one female lamb, all a year old and without defects; a grain offering consisting of three-tenths of an ephah of best flour mixed with olive oil, and one ‘log’ of olive oil.

¹¹ The priest who conducts the ceremony will present the person to be made clean to the Lord, along with these offerings, at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

¹² The priest will take one of the male lambs and present it as a guilt offering, together with the log of olive oil; and he will wave them before the Lord as a wave offering.

¹³ Then he will kill the lamb near the sanctuary where the sin offering and burnt offering are killed. The sin offering and the guilt offering belong to the priest; it is most holy.

¹⁴ The priest will put some of the blood from the guilt offering on their right earlobe, on their right thumb, and on the big toe of their right foot of the person being made clean.

¹⁵ The priest will pour some of the log of olive oil into his left palm,

¹⁶ dip his right index finger in it, and using his finger, sprinkle some of the olive oil seven times before the Lord.

¹⁷ The priest will then use some of the rest of the olive oil remaining in his palm on the person being made clean, and put it on top of the blood of the guilt offering. This will be on their right earlobe, on their right thumb, and on the big toe of their right foot, on top of the blood of the guilt offering.

¹⁸ What is left of the olive oil in his palm, the priest will put on the head of the person being made clean and then make them right before the Lord.

¹⁹ The priest will sacrifice the sin offering to make the person right, so that they are now clean from their uncleanness. After that, the priest will kill the burnt offering

²⁰ and offer it on the altar, together with the grain offering, to make them right, and they will be clean.

²¹ But those who are poor and can't afford these offerings must bring one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved to make them right, together with a tenth an ephah of best flour mixed with olive oil for a grain offering, a log of olive oil,

²² and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, whichever they can afford. One is to be used as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering.

²³ On the eighth day they are to take them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting before the Lord so they can be made clean.

²⁴ The priest will take the lamb for the guilt offering, together with the log of olive oil, and wave them as a wave offering before the Lord.

²⁵ After he kills the lamb for the guilt offering, the priest will take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the right earlobe of the one being made clean, on their right thumb, and on the big toe of their right foot.

²⁶ Then the priest will pour some of the olive oil into his left palm

²⁷ and using his right index finger, will sprinkle some of the oil from his left palm seven times before the Lord.

²⁸ The priest shall also put some of the olive oil in his palm on the right earlobe of the person being made clean, on their right thumb, and on the big toe of his right foot, in the same places as the blood of the guilt offering.

²⁹ What is left of the olive oil in his palm, the priest will put on the head of the person being made clean and then make them right before the Lord.

³⁰ Then they must sacrifice one of the turtledoves or young pigeons, whichever they can afford,

³¹ one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, along with the grain offering. This is how the priest will make the person right and clean before the Lord.

³² These are the regulations for those who have a skin disease and can't afford the usual offerings to make people clean.”

³³ Then the Lord told Moses and Aaron,

³⁴ “When you get to Canaan, the land I'm giving you to own, if I put some mold into a house there and contaminate it,

³⁵ the owner of the house must come and tell the priest, ‘It seems my house has something like mold.’

³⁶ The priest must order the house to be emptied before he goes in to inspect the mold, so that nothing in the house will be declared unclean. Once that's done, the priest is to go in and inspect the house.

³⁷ He will examine the house and see whether the mold on the walls is made up of green or red indentations that go under the surface,

³⁸ the priest shall go out of door and seal the house for seven days.

³⁹ On the seventh day the priest will return and inspect the house again. If the mold has spread on the walls,

⁴⁰ he will order the affected stones to be removed and disposed of in an unclean area outside the town.

⁴¹ Then he will order the all the plaster inside of the house to be scraped off and dumped in an unclean area outside the town.

⁴² Different stones must be used to replace the ones removed, and new plaster will be needed replaster the house.

⁴³ If the mold returns and affects the house again even after the stones have been removed and the house has been scraped and replastered,

⁴⁴ the priest must come and inspect it. If he sees the mold has spread in the house, it is a harmful mold; the house is unclean.

⁴⁵ It must be demolished, and all its stones, timbers, and plaster must be taken and dumped in an unclean area outside the town.

⁴⁶ Anyone who goes into the house during any time that it is sealed will be unclean until the evening.

⁴⁷ Anyone who sleeps or eats in the house must wash their clothes.

⁴⁸ However, if when the priest comes and inspects it and finds that the mold hasn't reappeared after the house was replastered, he shall declare the house clean because the mold is gone.

⁴⁹ He will bring two birds, cedar wood, crimson thread, and hyssop to make the house clean.

⁵⁰ He will kill one of the birds over a clay pot filled with fresh water.

⁵¹ He will dip the live bird, the cedar wood, crimson thread, and hyssop, in the blood of the bird that was killed and the fresh water, and sprinkle the house seven times.

⁵² He will make the house clean with the bird's blood, the fresh water, the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop, and the crimson thread.

⁵³ Then he will let the live bird fly away outside the town. This is how he will make the house right, and it will be clean.

⁵⁴ These are the regulations for any infectious skin disease, for a scabby infection,

⁵⁵ for mold on clothing and in a house,

⁸ Then he that shall be clensed, shall wash his clothes, and shaue off all his heare, and wash himselfe in water, so he shalbe cleane: after that shall he come into the host, but shall tary without his tent seuen dayes.

⁹ So in the seuenth day hee shall shaue off all his heare, both his head, and his beard, and his eye browes: euen all his heare shall he shaue, and shall wash his clothes and shall wash his flesh in water: so he shalbe cleane.

¹⁰ Then in the eight day he shall take two hee lambes without blemish, and an ewe lambe of a yere olde without blemish, and three tenth deales of fine flower for a meate offering, mingled with oyle, and a pint of oyle.

¹¹ And the Priest that maketh him cleane shall bring the man which is to bee made cleane, and those things, before the Lord, at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.

¹² Then the Priest shall take one lambe, and offer him for a trespasse offering, and the pint of oyle, and shake the to and from before the Lord.

¹³ And hee shall kill the lambe in the place where the sinne offring and the burnt offring are slaine, euen in the holy place: for as the sinne offring is the Priests, so is the trespasse offring: for it is most holy.

¹⁴ So the Priest shall take of the blood of the trespasse offring, and put it vpon the lappe of the right eare of him that shalbe clensed, and vpon the thumbe of his right hand, and vpon the great toe of his right foote.

¹⁵ The Priest shall also take of ye pint of oyle, and powre it into the palme of his left hand,

¹⁶ And the Priest shall dip his right finger in the oyle that is in his left hand, and sprinkle of the oyle with his finger seuen times before the Lord.

¹⁷ And of the rest of the oyle that is in his hand, shall the Priest put vpon the lap of the right eare of him that is to bee clensed, and vpon the thumbe of his right hand, and vpon the great toe of his right foote, where the blood of the trespasse offring was put.

¹⁸ But the remnant of the oyle that is in the Priests hand, he shall powre vpon the head of him that is to be clensed: so the Priest shall make an atonement for him before the Lord.

¹⁹ And the Priest shall offer the sinne offring and make an atonement for him that is to bee clensed of his vncleannesse: then after shall he kill the burnt offring.

²⁰ So the Priest shall offer ye burnt offring and the meat offring vpon ye altar and the Priest shall make an atonement for him: so he shalbe cleane.

²¹ But if he be poore, and not able, then he shall bring one lambe for a trespasse offring to be shaken, for his reconciliation, and a tenth deale of fine flower mingled with oyle, for a meate offring, with a pinte of oyle.

²² Also two turtle doues, or two yong pigeons, as he is able, whereof the one shalbe a sinne offering, and the other a burnt offring,

²³ And he shall bring them the eight day for his clensing vnto the Priest at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation before ye Lord.

²⁴ The the Priest shall take the lambe of the trespasse offring, and the pint of oyle, and the Priest shall shake them to and from before the Lord.

²⁵ And he shall kill the lambe of the trespasse offering, and the Priest shall take of the blood of the trespasse offring, and put it vpon the lap of his right eare that is to be clensed, and vpon ye thumbe of his right hande, and vpon the great toe of his right foote.

²⁶ Also the Priest shall powre of the oyle into the palme of his owne left hand.

²⁷ So ye Priest shall with his right finger sprinkle of the oyle that is in his left hand, seuen times before the Lord.

²⁸ Then the Priest shall put of the oyle that is in his hande, vpon the lap of the right eare of him that is to bee clensed, and vpon the thumbe of his right hande, and vpon the great toe of his right foote: vpon the place of the blood of the trespasse offring.

²⁹ But ye rest of the oyle that is in the Priests hand, he shall put vpon the head of him that is to be clensed, to make an atonement for him before the Lord.

³⁰ Also hee shall present one of the turtle doues, or of the yong pigeons, as he is able:

³¹ Such, I say, as he is able, the one for a sinne offring, and the other for a burnt offring with the meate offring: so the Priest shall make an atonement for him that is to bee clensed before the Lord.

³² This is the lawe of him which hath the plague of leprosie, who is not able in his clensing to offer the whole.

³³ The Lord also spake vnto Moses and to Aaron, saying,

³⁴ When ye be come vnto the land of Canaan which I giue you in possession, if I sende the plague of leprosie in an house of the land of your possession,

³⁵ Then he that oweth the house, shall come and tell the Priest, saying, Me thinke there is like a plague of leprosie in the house.

³⁶ Then the Priest shall commande them to emptie the house before the Priest goe into it to see the plague, that all that is in the house be not made vncleane, and then shall the Priest goe in to see the house,

³⁷ And hee shall marke the plague: and if the plague be in the walles of the house, and that there be deepe spots, greenish or reddish, which seeme to be lower then the wall,

³⁸ Then the Priest shall goe out of the house to the doore of the house, and shall cause to shut vp the house seuen dayes.

³⁹ So the Priest shall come againe ye seuenth day: and if he see that the plague bee increased in the walles of the house,

⁴⁰ Then the Priest shall commande them to take away the stones wherein the plague is, and they shall cast them into a foule place without the citie.

⁴¹ Also hee shall cause to scrape the house within rounde about, and powre the dust, that they haue pared off, without the citie in an vncleane place.

⁴² And they shall take other stones, and put them in the places of those stones, and shall take other mortar, to plaister the house with.

⁴³ But if the plague come againe and breake out in the house, after that he hath taken away ye stones, and after that hee hath scraped and playstered the house,

⁴⁴ Then the Priest shall come and see: and if the plague growe in the house, it is a freating leprosie in the house: it is therefore vncleane.

⁴⁵ And hee shall breake downe the house, with the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the mortar of the house, and hee shall carie them out of the citie vnto an vncleane place.

⁴⁶ Moreouer he that goeth into the house all the while that it is shut vp, hee shall bee vncleane vntill the euen.

⁴⁷ Hee also that sleepeth in the house shall wash his clothes: he likewise that eateth in the house, shall wash his clothes.

⁴⁸ But if the Priest shall come and see, that the plague hath spread no further in the house, after the house be plaistered, the Priest shall pronounce that house cleane, for the plague is healed.

⁴⁹ Then shall he take to purifie the house, two sparrowes, and cedar wood, and skarlet lace, and hyssope.

⁵⁰ And hee shall kill one sparowe ouer pure water in an earthen vessell,

⁵¹ And shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssope, and the skarlet lace with the liue Sparrow, and dip them in the blood of the slayne Sparrow, and in the pure water, and sprinkle the house seuen times:

⁵² So shall hee clense the house with ye blood of the sparowe, and with the pure water, and with the liue sparowe, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssope, and with the skarlet lace.

⁵³ Afterwarde he shall let go the liue sparowe out of the towne into the broad fieldes: so shall he make atonement for the house, and it shall be cleane.

⁵⁴ This is the law for euery plague of leprosie and blacke spot,

⁵⁵ And of the leprosie of the garment, and of the house,

⁸ And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and bathe himself in water, and he shall be clean; and after that he may come into the camp, but shall dwell outside his tent seven days.

⁹ And it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off; and he shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.

¹⁰ And on the eighth day he shall take two he-lambs without blemish, and one ewe-lamb of the first year without blemish, and three tenth parts of an ephah of fine flour for a meal-offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.

¹¹ And the priest that cleanseth him shall set the man that is to be cleansed, and those things, before the LORD, at the door of the tent of meeting.

¹² And the priest shall take one of the he-lambs, and offer him for a guilt-offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave-offering before the LORD.

¹³ And he shall kill the he-lamb in the place where they kill the sin-offering and the burnt-offering, in the place of the sanctuary; for as the sin-offering is the priest's, so is the guilt-offering; it is most holy.

¹⁴ And the priest shall take of the blood of the guilt-offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.

¹⁵ And the priest shall take of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.

¹⁶ And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the LORD.

¹⁷ And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the guilt-offering.

¹⁸ And the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed; and the priest shall make atonement for him before the LORD.

¹⁹ And the priest shall offer the sin-offering, and make atonement for him that is to be cleansed because of his uncleanness; and afterward he shall kill the burnt-offering.

²⁰ And the priest shall offer the burnt-offering and the meal-offering upon the altar; and the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

³² This is the law of him in whom is the plague of leprosy, whose means suffice not for that which pertaineth to his cleansing.

³⁶ And the priest shall command that they empty the house, before the priest go in to see the plague, that all that is in the house be not made unclean; and afterward the priest shall go in to see the house.

³⁷ And he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the house with hollow streaks, greenish or reddish, and the appearance thereof be lower than the wall;

³⁸ then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days.

³⁹ And the priest shall come again the seventh day, and shall look; and, behold, if the plague be spread in the walls of the house;

⁴⁰ then the priest shall command that they take out the stones in which the plague is, and cast them into an unclean place without the city.

⁴¹ And he shall cause the house to be scraped within round about, and they shall pour out the mortar that they scrape off without the city into an unclean place.

⁴² And they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other mortar, and shall plaster the house.

⁴³ And if the plague come again, and break out in the house, after that the stones have been taken out, and after the house hath been scraped, and after it is plastered;

⁴⁴ then the priest shall come in and look; and, behold, if the plague be spread in the house, it is a malignant leprosy in the house: it is unclean.

⁴⁵ And he shall break down the house, the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the mortar of the house; and he shall carry them forth out of the city into an unclean place.

⁴⁶ Moreover he that goeth into the house all the while that it is shut up shall be unclean until the even.

⁴⁷ And he that lieth in the house shall wash his clothes; and he that eateth in the house shall wash his clothes.

⁴⁸ And if the priest shall come in, and look, and, behold, the plague hath not spread in the house, after the house was plastered; then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.

⁴⁹ And he shall take to cleanse the house two birds, and cedar-wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.

⁵⁰ And he shall kill one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water.

⁵¹ And he shall take the cedar-wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times.

⁵² And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar-wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet.

⁵³ But he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open field; so shall he make atonement for the house; and it shall be clean.

⁵⁴ This is the law for all manner of plague of leprosy, and for a scall;

⁵⁵ and for the leprosy of a garment, and for a house;

⁸ And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall tarry abroad out of his tent seven days.

⁹ But it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.

¹⁴ and the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:

¹⁵ and the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand:

¹⁶ and the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the Lord:

¹⁷ and of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering:

¹⁸ and the remnant of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall pour upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the Lord.

¹⁴ And the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass-offering; and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.

¹⁵ And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.

¹⁶ And the priest shall dip his finger of the right hand in the oil that is in his left hand, and he shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the Lord.

¹⁸ And what is left of the oil that is in the priest's hand, he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall thus make an atonement for him before the Lord.

¹⁹ And the priest shall prepare the sin-offering, and make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterward shall he kill the burnt-offering:

²⁸ And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot; upon the place of the blood of the trespass-offering;

²⁹ And what is left of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make an atonement for him before the Lord.

¹³ And they shall kill the lamb in the place where they kill the whole burnt offerings, and the sin offerings, in the holy places; for it is a sin offering: as the trespass offering, it belongs to the priest, it is most holy.

¹⁴ And the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it on the tip of the right ear of the person under cleansing, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot.

¹⁵ And the priest shall take of the cup of oil, and shall pour it upon his own left hand.

¹⁶ And he shall dip with the finger of his right hand into some of the oil that is in his left hand, and he shall sprinkle with his finger seven times before the Lord.

¹⁷ And the remaining oil that is in his hand, the priest shall put on the tip of the right ear of him that is under cleansing, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the trespass offering.

¹⁸ And the remaining oil that is on the hand of the priest, the priest shall put on the head of the cleansed leper, and the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord.

¹⁹ And the priest shall sacrifice the sin offering, and the priest shall make atonement for the person under purification to cleanse him from his sin, and afterward the priest shall slay the whole burnt offering.

²⁰ And the priest shall offer the whole burnt offering, and the sacrifice upon the altar before the Lord; and the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be cleansed.

²¹ And if he should be poor, and cannot afford so much, he shall take one lamb for his transgression for a separate offering, so as to make propitiation for him, and a tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a sacrifice, and one cup of oil,

²² and two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, as he can afford; and the one shall be for a sin offering, and the other for a whole burnt offering.

²³ And he shall bring them on the eighth day, to purify him, to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of witness before the Lord.

²⁴ And the priest shall take the lamb of the trespass offering, and the cup of oil, and place them for a set offering before the Lord.

²⁵ And he shall slay the lamb of the trespass offering; and the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass offering, and put it on the tip of the right ear of him that is under purification, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot.

²⁶ And the priest shall pour of the oil on his own left hand.

²⁸ And the priest shall put of the oil that is on his hand on the tip of the right ear of him that is under purification, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the trespass offering.

²⁹ And that which is left of the oil which is on the hand of the priest he shall put on the head of him that is purged, and the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord.

³⁰ And he shall offer one of the turtledoves or of the young pigeons, as he can afford it,

³¹ the one for a sin offering, the other for a whole burnt offering with the meat offering, and the priest shall make an atonement before the Lord for him that is under purification.

³² This is the law for him in whom is the plague of leprosy, and who cannot afford the offerings for his purification.

³³ And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,

³⁴ Whensoever ye shall enter into the land of the Canaanites, which I give you for a possession, and I shall put the plague of leprosy in the houses of the land of your possession;

³⁵ then the owner of the house shall come and report to the priest, saying, I have seen as it were a plague in the house.

³⁶ And the priest shall give orders to remove the furniture of the house, before the priest comes in to see the plague, and thus none of the things in the house shall become unclean; and afterward the priest shall go in to examine the house.

³⁷ And he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague is in the walls of the house, he will see greenish or reddish cavities, and the appearance of them will be beneath the surface of the walls.

³⁸ And the priest shall come out of the house to the door of the house, and the priest shall separate the house seven days.

³⁹ And the priest shall return on the seventh day and view the house; and, behold, if the plague is spread in the walls of the house,

⁴⁰ then the priest shall give orders, and they shall take away the stones in which the plague is, and shall cast them out of the city into an unclean place.

⁴¹ And they shall scrape the house within round about, and shall pour out the dust scraped off outside the city into an unclean place.

⁴² And they shall take other scraped stones, and put them in the place of the former stones, and they shall take other plaster and plaster the house.

⁴³ And if the plague should return again, and break out in the house after they have taken away the stones and after the house is scraped, and after it has been plastered,

⁴⁴ then the priest shall go in and see if the plague is spread in the house: it is a confirmed leprosy in the house, it is unclean.

⁴⁵ And they shall take down the house, and its timbers and its stones, and they shall carry out all the mortar without the city into an unclean place.

⁴⁶ And he that goes into the house at any time, during its separation, shall be unclean until evening.

⁴⁷ And he that sleeps in the house shall wash his garments, and be unclean until evening; and he that eats in the house shall wash his garments, and be unclean until evening.

⁴⁸ And if the priest shall arrive and enter and see, and behold the plague be not at all spread in the house after the house has been plastered, then the priest shall declare the house clean, because the plague is healed.

⁴⁹ And he shall take to purify the house two clean living birds, and cedar wood, and spun scarlet, and hyssop.

⁵⁰ And he shall slay one bird in an earthen vessel over running water.

⁵¹ And he shall take the cedar wood, and the spun scarlet, and the hyssop, and the living bird; and shall dip it into the blood of the bird slain over running water, and with them he shall sprinkle the house seven times.

⁵² And he shall purify the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the spun scarlet.

⁵³ And he shall let the living bird go out of the city into the field, and shall make atonement for the house, and it shall be clean.

⁵⁴ This is the law concerning every plague of leprosy and scurf,

⁵⁵ and of the leprosy of a garment, and of a house,

⁸ And he who is cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself clean with water, and afterward he may come into the camp; but he shall dwell without his tent seven days.

⁹ And on the seventh day he shall (again) shave off all the hair of his head, and his beard and his eyebrows, the whole of his hair shall he shave off, and wash his clothes, and wash his flesh with water, and he shall be clean.

¹⁰ And on the eighth day let him take two (he) lambs unblemished, and one ewe lamb of the year unblemished, and three tenths of flour sprinkled with oil for a mincha, and one loga of oil.

¹¹ And the priest who maketh him clean shall make the man who is cleansed to stand with them before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of ordinance.

¹² And the priest shall take one lamb and offer him for a trespass offering, and the loga of oil, and shall uplift them an elevation before the Lord.

¹³ And he shall slay the lamb on the place where the sin offering is killed, and the burnt offering, (namely,) in the holy place; for as the sin, so the trespass, offering is the priest’s: it is most sacred.

¹⁴ And the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him who is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the tow of his right foot.

¹⁵ And the priest shall take of the log of oil and pour it on the priest’s left hand.

¹⁶ And the priest shall dip the finger of his right hand in the oil which is upon his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the Lord.

¹⁷ And of the rest of the oil which is upon his hand the priest shall put upon the tip of the right ear of him who is cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the tow of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering.

¹⁸ And the remainder of the oil which is upon the priest’s hand he shall put upon the head of him who is cleansed, and the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord.

¹⁹ And the priest shall perform the sin offering, and make atonement for him who is cleansed from his defilement, and afterwards shall he kill the burnt offering.

²⁰ And the priest shall sacrifice the burnt offering with the mincha at the altar, and the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

²¹ But should he be a poor man, and his hand have not (so much) pertaining (to him), let him take one lamb for the trespass offering for the elevation to atone for him, and one-tenth of flour sprinkled with oil for the mincha, and a loga of oil

³⁶ The priest shall direct that they turn out (all that is in) the house before the priest goeth in to inspect the plague; that all that is in the house be not (condemned as) unclean; and afterward the priest shall enter to survey the house.

³⁷ Then he shall look at the plague; and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the house in seams, green or red, and they appear to be deeper than the (surface of the) wall,

³⁸ then the priest shall go out from the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days.

³⁹ And the priest shall return on the seventh day, and look, and, behold, if the plague hath increased in the walls of the house,

⁴⁰ then the priest shall order that they take down the stones of the house in which the plague is, and cast them without the town into an unclean place.

⁴¹ And they shall scrape the house within round about, and throw the plaster (dust) which they have scraped off without the town, into an unclean place.

⁴² And they shall take other stones, and insert them in the place of the former stones, and shall take other plaster and cover the house.

⁴³ And if the plague return and increase in the house after that the stones have been taken down, nad after they have scraped the house, and after it hath been plastered (anew);

⁴⁴ Then the priest shall enter, and, behold, if the plague hath increased in the house, it is a corroding leprosy in the house, it is unclean.

⁴⁵ And they shall break down the house, the stones of it, the timber, and all the mortar of the house; and he shall carry them (have them carried) without the town unto an unclean place.

⁴⁶ And whoso goeth into the house all the days that it is shut up, shall be unclean until the evening.

⁴⁷ And he who may sleep in the house shall wash his clothes, and he who eateth in the house shall wash his clothes.

⁴⁸ But if the priest, having entered, shall look, and, behold, the plague hath not increased in the house after the house hath been plastered, the priest shall make (pronounce) the house to be clean, for the plague hath been cured.

⁴⁹ And he shall take, to purify the house, two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.

⁵⁰ And he shall kill the one bird in a vessel of pottery with spring water,

⁵¹ and take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird; and dip them in the blood of the bird which had been killed and in the spring water, and sprinkle the house seven times.

⁵² And he shall purify the house with the blood of the bird, and with the spring water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet.

⁵³ But he shall send forth the living bird out of town, upon the face of the field, and make atonement for the house, and it shall be clean.

⁵⁴ This is the law for every plague of leprosy and of scorbutics,

⁵⁵ And for leprosy in clothing, and in a house:

⁸ “He who is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and bathe himself in water; and he shall be clean. After that he shall come into the camp, but shall dwell outside his tent seven days.

⁹ It shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off. He shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his body in water, then he shall be clean.

¹¹ The priest who cleanses him shall set the man who is to be cleansed, and those things, before Adonai , at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

¹² “The priest shall take one of the male lambs, and offer him for a trespass offering, with the log 0.65 qt; 0.31 L of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before Adonai . (LY:2)

¹⁷ The priest shall put some of the rest of the oil that is in his hand on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering.

¹⁸ The rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, and the priest shall make atonement for him before Adonai .

¹⁹ “The priest shall offer the sin offering, and make atonement for him who is to be cleansed because of his uncleanness: and afterward he shall kill the burnt offering;

²⁰ and the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meal offering on the altar. The priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean. (RY:5, LY:3)

²⁹ The rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before Adonai .

³⁰ He shall offer one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, such as he is able to afford,

³¹ even such as he is able to afford, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meal offering. The priest shall make atonement for him who is to be cleansed before Adonai .”

³² This is the Torah ·Teaching· for him in whom is the plague of tzara'at, who is not able to afford the sacrifice for his cleansing. (RY:6, LY:4)

³⁶ The priest shall enjoin that they empty the house, before the priest goes in to examine the plague, that all that is in the house not be made unclean. Afterward the priest shall go in to inspect the house.

³⁷ He shall examine the plague; and behold, if the plague is in the walls of the house with hollow streaks, greenish or reddish, and it appears to be deeper than the wall;

³⁸ then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days.

³⁹ The priest shall come again on the seventh day, and look. If the plague has spread in the walls of the house,

⁴⁰ then the priest shall enjoin that they take out the stones in which is the plague, and cast them into an unclean place outside of the city:

⁴¹ and he shall cause the inside of the house to be scraped all over, and they shall pour out the mortar, that they scraped off, outside of the city into an unclean place.

⁴² They shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other mortar, and shall plaster the house.

⁴³ “If the plague comes again, and breaks out in the house, after he has taken out the stones, and after he has scraped the house, and after it was plastered;

⁴⁴ then the priest shall come in and look; and behold, if the plague has spread in the house, it is a destructive tzara'at mildew in the house. It is unclean.

⁴⁵ He shall break down the house, its stones, and its timber, and all the house’s mortar. He shall carry them out of the city into an unclean place.

⁴⁶ “Moreover he who goes into the house while it is shut up shall be unclean until the evening.

⁴⁷ He who lies down in the house shall wash his clothes; and he who eats in the house shall wash his clothes.

⁴⁸ “If the priest shall come in, and examine it, and behold, the plague has not spread in the house, after the house was plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.

⁴⁹ To cleanse the house he shall take two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.

¹⁴ The priest will take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the tip of the right ear of the person who is to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

¹⁵ Then the priest will take oil from the log and pour it into the palm of his own left hand,

¹⁶ and dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and sprinkle some of the oil with his finger seven times before Yahweh.

¹⁷ The priest will put the rest of the oil in his hand on the tip of the right ear of the person to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot. He must put this oil on top of the blood from the guilt offering.

¹⁸ As for the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand, he will put it on the head of the person who is to be cleansed, and the priest will make atonement for him before Yahweh.

¹⁹ Then the priest will offer the sin offering and make atonement for him who is to be cleansed because of his uncleanness, and afterward he will kill the burnt offering.

²⁰ Then the priest will offer the burnt offering and the grain offering on the altar. The priest will make atonement for the person, and then he will be clean.

²¹ However, if the person is poor and cannot afford these sacrifices, then he may take one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved, to make atonement for himself, and one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, and a log of oil,

²² together with two doves or two young pigeons, such as he is able to get; one bird will be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering.

²³ On the eighth day he must bring them for his cleansing to the priest, to the entrance to the tent of meeting, before Yahweh.

²⁴ The priest will take the lamb for an offering, and he will take with it the log of olive oil, and he will lift them high as he presents them to Yahweh.

²⁵ He will kill the lamb for the guilt offering, and he will take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the tip of the right ear of the one who is to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

²⁶ Then the priest will pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand,

²⁷ and he will sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before Yahweh.

²⁸ The priest will then put some of the oil that is in his hand on the tip of the right ear of the one who is to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, the same places where he put the blood of the guilt offering.

²⁹ He will put the rest of the oil that is in his hand on the head of the one who is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before Yahweh.

³⁰ He must offer one of the doves or young pigeons, such as the person has been able to get—

³¹ one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, along with the grain offering. Then the priest will make atonement for the one who is to be cleansed before Yahweh.

³² This is the law for a person in whom there is an infectious skin disease, who is not able to afford the standard offerings for his cleansing.”

³³ Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

³⁴ “When you have come into the land of Canaan which I gave to you as a possession, and if I put mildew that spreads in a house in the land of your possession,

³⁵ then he who owns the house must come and tell the priest. He must say, 'There seems to me to be something like mildew in my house.'

³⁶ Then the priest will command that they empty the house before he goes in to see the evidence of mildew, so that nothing in the house will be made unclean. Afterward the priest must go in to see the house.

³⁷ He must examine the mildew to see if it is in the house walls, and to see whether it appears greenish or reddish in the depressions in the wall's surface.

³⁸ If the house does have mildew, then the priest will go out of the house and shut the door to the house for seven days.

³⁹ Then the priest will return again on the seventh day and examine it to see if the mildew has spread in the walls of the house.

⁴⁰ If it has, then the priest will command that they take out the stones in which the mildew has been found and throw them into an unclean place outside the city.

⁴¹ He will require all the inside walls of the house to be scraped, and they must take the contaminated material that is scraped off outside the city and dump it into the unclean place.

⁴² They must take other stones and put them in the place of the stones that were removed, and they must use new clay to plaster the house.

⁴³ If mildew comes again and breaks out in the house in which the stones have been taken away and the walls have been scraped and then replastered,

⁴⁴ then the priest must come in and examine the house to see if mildew has spread in the house. If it has, then it is harmful mildew, and the house is unclean.

⁴⁵ The house must be torn down. The stones, timber, and all the plaster in the house must be carried away out of the city to the unclean place.

⁴⁶ In addition, whoever goes into the house during the time it is closed up will be unclean until evening.

⁴⁷ Anyone who slept in the house must wash his clothes, and anyone who ate in the house must wash his clothes.

⁴⁸ If the priest enters the house to examine it to see whether the mildew has spread in the house after the house was plastered, then, if the mildew is gone, he will pronounce the house clean.

⁴⁹ Then the priest must take two birds to cleanse the house, and cedar wood, and scarlet yarn, and hyssop.

⁵⁰ He will kill one of the birds over fresh water in a clay jar.

⁵¹ He will take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the scarlet yarn, and the live bird, and dip them in the blood of the killed bird, into the fresh water, and sprinkle the house seven times.

⁵² He will cleanse the house with the blood of the bird and with the fresh water, with the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop, and the scarlet yarn.

⁵³ But he will let the live bird go out of the city into the open fields. In this way he must make atonement for the house, and it will be clean.

⁵⁴ This is the law for all types of infectious skin disease and things that cause such disease, and for an itch,

⁵⁵ and for mildew in clothing and in a house,

¹⁷ The priest shall put some of the rest of the oil that is in his hand on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering.

¹⁸ The rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, and the priest shall make atonement for him before the LORD.

¹⁹ “The priest shall offer the sin offering, and make atonement for him who is to be cleansed because of his uncleanness. Afterward he shall kill the burnt offering;

²⁰ then the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meal offering on the altar. The priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

²¹ “If he is poor, and can’t afford so much, then he shall take one male lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, and one tenth of an efah of fine flour mixed with oil for a meal offering, and a log of oil;

²² and two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to afford; and the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.

²³ “On the eighth day he shall bring them for his cleansing to the priest, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, before the LORD.

²⁴ The priest shall take the lamb of the trespass offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD.

²⁵ He shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering. The priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering and put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

²⁶ The priest shall pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand;

²⁷ and the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before the LORD.

²⁸ Then the priest shall put some of the oil that is in his hand on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the trespass offering.

²⁹ The rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before the LORD.

³⁰ He shall offer one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, which ever he is able to afford,

³¹ of the kind he is able to afford, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meal offering. The priest shall make atonement for him who is to be cleansed before the LORD.”

³² This is the law for him in whom is the plague of leprosy, who is not able to afford the sacrifice for his cleansing.

³³ The LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,

³⁴ “When you have come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put a spreading mildew in a house in the land of your possession,

³⁵ then he who owns the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, ‘There seems to me to be some sort of plague in the house.’

³⁶ The priest shall command that they empty the house, before the priest goes in to examine the plague, that all that is in the house not be made unclean. Afterward the priest shall go in to inspect the house.

³⁷ He shall examine the plague; and behold, if the plague is in the walls of the house with hollow streaks, greenish or reddish, and it appears to be deeper than the wall,

³⁸ then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days.

³⁹ The priest shall come again on the seventh day, and look. If the plague has spread in the walls of the house,

⁴⁰ then the priest shall command that they take out the stones in which is the plague, and cast them into an unclean place outside of the city.

⁴¹ He shall cause the inside of the house to be scraped all over. They shall pour out the mortar that they scraped off outside of the city into an unclean place.

⁴² They shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other mortar, and shall plaster the house.

⁴³ “If the plague comes again, and breaks out in the house after he has taken out the stones, and after he has scraped the house, and after it was plastered,

⁴⁴ then the priest shall come in and look; and behold, if the plague has spread in the house, it is a destructive mildew in the house. It is unclean.

⁴⁵ He shall break down the house, its stones, and its timber, and all the house’s mortar. He shall carry them out of the city into an unclean place.

⁴⁶ “Moreover he who goes into the house while it is shut up shall be unclean until the evening.

⁴⁷ He who lies down in the house shall wash his clothes; and he who eats in the house shall wash his clothes.

⁴⁸ “If the priest shall come in, and examine it, and behold, the plague hasn’t spread in the house, after the house was plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.

⁴⁹ To cleanse the house he shall take two birds, cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop.

⁵⁰ He shall kill one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water.

⁵¹ He shall take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times.

⁵² He shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, with the living bird, with the cedar wood, with the hyssop, and with the scarlet;

⁵³ but he shall let the living bird go out of the city into the open field. So shall he make atonement for the house; and it shall be clean.”

⁵⁴ This is the law for any plague of leprosy, and for an itch,

⁵⁵ and for the destructive mildew of a garment, and for a house,

⁸ And when the man hath washed his clothes, he shall shave all the hairs of his body, and he shall be washed in water, and he shall be cleansed, and he shall enter into the tents; so only that he dwell without his tabernacle by seven days;

⁹ and that in the seventh day, he shave the hairs of the head, and his beard, and his brows, and the hairs of all his body. And when his clothes and his body be washed again,

¹⁰ in the eighth day he shall take two lambs without wem, and a sheep of one year without wem, and three dimes, or three tenth parts, of tried wheat flour, into sacrifice, which be sprinkled with oil, and by itself a sextary, or a pint, of oil.

¹¹ And when the priest that purgeth the man, hath set him and all his things before the Lord, in the door of the tabernacle of witnessing,

¹² he shall take a lamb, and shall offer it for trespass, and shall offer the pint of oil; and when all things be offered before the Lord,

¹³ he shall offer the lamb, where the sacrifice for sin and the burnt sacrifice is wont to be offered, that is, in the holy place; for as for sin, so and for trespass, the offering pertaineth to the priest; it is holy of holy things.

¹⁴ And the priest shall take of the blood of the sacrifice which is offered for trespass, and shall put on the last part of the right ear of him which is cleansed, and on the thumbs of the right hand and foot.

¹⁵ And he shall put of the pint of oil into his left hand,

¹⁶ and the priest shall dip his right finger therein, and he shall sprinkle it seven times before the Lord.

¹⁷ Soothly he shall pour that that is left of the oil in the left hand, on the last part of the right ear of him which is cleansed, and on the thumbs of the right hand and foot, and on the blood which is shed for trespass,

¹⁸ and on his head.

¹⁹ And the priest shall pray for him before the Lord, and shall make sacrifice for sin;

²⁰ then the priest shall offer the burnt sacrifice, and he shall put it in the altar with his flowing sacrifices, and the man shall be cleansed rightfully.

²¹ That if he is poor, and his hand may not find those things that be said, he shall take for his trespass a lamb to the offering, that the priest pray for him, and the tenth part of tried wheat flour sprinkled altogether with oil, into sacrifice, and a pint of oil,

²² and two turtles, either two culver birds, of which one shall be for sin, and the tother into burnt sacrifice;

²³ and he shall offer those or them in the eighth day of his cleansing to the priest, at the door of the tabernacle of witnessing, before the Lord.

²⁴ And the priest shall take the lamb offered for trespass, and the pint of oil, and he shall raise or rear them up together;

²⁵ and when the lamb is offered, he shall put of the blood thereof on the last part of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and on the thumbs of his right hand and foot.

²⁶ Soothly the priest put the part of oil into his own left hand,

²⁷ in which he shall dip the finger of his right hand, and he shall sprinkle it seven times against or before the Lord;

²⁸ and the priest shall touch the last part of the right ear of him that is cleansed, and the thumbs of the right hand and foot, in the place of the blood which is shed out for trespass.

²⁹ Soothly the priest shall put the tother part of the oil, that is in his left hand, upon the head of the man that is cleansed, that he please the Lord for him.

³⁰ And he shall offer a turtle, or a culver bird,

³¹ one for trespass, and the tother into burnt sacrifice, with their flowing offerings.

³² This is the sacrifice of a leprous man, that may not have all things into the cleansing of himself.

³³ And the Lord spake to Moses and Aaron, and said,

³⁴ When ye have entered into the land of Canaan, which I shall give to you into possession, if the wound of leprosy is in the houses,

³⁵ he shall go, whose the house is, and shall tell to the priest, and shall say, It seemeth to me, that as it were a wound of leprosy is in mine house.

³⁶ And the priest shall command, that they bear out of the house all things, before that he enter into it, that he may see whether it be leprosy, lest all things that be in the house be made unclean; and the priest shall enter afterward, that he see the leprosy of the house.

³⁷ And when he seeth in the walls thereof as little valleys, or crevices, defouled with paleness, either with redness, and lower than the tother higher part,

³⁸ he shall go out at the door of the house, and anon he shall enclose it by seven days.

³⁹ And he shall turn again in the seventh day, and shall see it; and if he findeth that the leprosy hath increased,

⁴⁰ he shall command that the stones be cast out, in which the leprosy is, and that those stones be cast out of the city into an unclean place.

⁴¹ Soothly he shall command that that house be razed within by compass, and that the dust of the razing be sprinkled without the city, in an unclean place,

⁴² and that other stones be put again for these, that be taken away, and that the house be daubed with other mortar.

⁴³ But if after that the stones be taken away, and the dust is borne out, and with other earth is daubed,

⁴⁴ the priest entereth, and seeth the leprosy turned again, and the walls sprinkled with spots, the leprosy is then steadfastly dwelling, and the house is unclean;

⁴⁵ which house they shall destroy anon, and they shall cast out of the city, into an unclean place, the stones thereof, and the wood, and all the dust.

⁴⁶ He that entereth into the house, when it is shut, shall be unclean till to eventide,

⁴⁷ and he that sleepeth in it, and eateth anything therein, he shall wash his clothes.

⁴⁸ That if the priest entereth, and seeth that the leprosy increased not in the house, after that it was daubed the second time, the priest shall cleanse it; for health is yielded again thereto.

⁴⁹ And to the cleansing thereof, the priest shall take two sparrows, and cedar wood, and vermilion, that is, a red thread, and hyssop.

⁵⁰ And when one sparrow is offered in a vessel of earth, on quick waters,

⁵¹ the priest shall take the cedar wood, and hyssop, and the red thread, and the quick sparrow, and he shall dip, or wet, all these things in the blood of the sparrow offered, or slain, and in the quick waters; and he shall sprinkle the house seven times;

⁵² and he shall cleanse it as well in the blood of the sparrow, as in the living waters, and in the quick sparrow, and in the cedar wood, and in the hyssop, and red thread.

⁵³ And when he hath let go the sparrow to fly away into the field freely, he shall pray for the house, and it shall be cleansed rightfully.

⁵⁴ This is the law of all leprosy, and of smiting,

⁵⁵ and of leprosy of clothes, and of houses,

⁸ And when the man hath washed his clothes, he shall shave all the hairs of his body, and he shall be washed in water, and he shall be cleansed, and he shall enter into the tents; so only that he dwell without his tabernacle by seven days; (And when the man hath washed his clothes, he shall shave off all the hair of his body, and he shall wash in water, and so he shall be made clean, and then he can return to the tents; but he must live outside his own tent for seven days;)

⁹ and that in the seventh day (or and then on the seventh day), he (shall) shave (again) the hairs of the head, and his beard, and his brows, and the hairs of all his body. And when his clothes and his body be washed again,

¹⁰ in the eighth day he shall take two lambs without wem, and a sheep of one year without wem, and three dimes, or three tenth parts, of tried wheat flour, into sacrifice, which be sprinkled with oil, and (also take) by itself a sextary, or a pint, of oil. ¹² he shall take a lamb, and shall offer it for trespass, and shall (also) offer the sextary of oil; and when all things be offered before the Lord, (he shall take the lamb for the trespass offering, and also the pint of oil; and when all these things be presented as a special gift before the Lord,)

¹³ he shall offer the lamb, where the sacrifice for sin and the burnt sacrifice is wont to be offered, that is, in the holy place; for as for sin, so and for trespass, the offering pertaineth to the priest; it is holy of holy things. (he shall offer the lamb, where the sin offering and the burnt sacrifice be offered, that is, in the holy place; for the trespass offering, like the sin offering, belongeth to the priest; it is a most holy, or sacred, thing.)

¹⁵ And he shall put (some) of the pint of oil into his (own) left hand,

¹⁶ and the priest shall dip his right finger therein, and he shall sprinkle it seven times before the Lord.

¹⁷ Soothly he shall pour that that is left of the oil in the left hand, on the last part of the right ear of him which is (to be) cleansed, and on the thumbs of the right hand and foot, and on the blood which is shed for trespass, (And he shall put some of the oil that is still in his left hand, on the lobe of the right ear of him who is to be pronounced clean, and on the thumb of his right hand, and the great toe of his right foot, on top of the blood of the trespass offering,)

¹⁸ and (then pour the rest of the oil) on(to) his head.

¹⁹ And the priest shall pray for him before the Lord, and shall make sacrifice for sin (or and shall offer the sin offering);

²⁰ then the priest shall offer the burnt sacrifice, and he shall put it in the altar with his flowing sacrifices, and the man shall be cleansed rightfully. (then the priest shall offer the burnt sacrifice, and he shall put it on the altar with the grain offering, and by this rite the man shall be made clean.)

²¹ That if he is poor, and his hand may not find those things that be said, he shall take for his trespass a lamb to the offering, that the priest pray for him, and the tenth part of tried wheat flour sprinkled (al)together with oil, into sacrifice, and a sextary of oil, (But if he is poor, and his hand cannot find those things that be said above, he shall take a lamb for his trespass offering, as a special gift to the Lord, for the priest who shall pray for him, and the tenth part of an ephah of fine wheat flour sprinkled with oil, for the grain offering, and a pint of oil,)

²² and two turtles, either two culver birds, of which one shall be for sin, and the tother into burnt sacrifice; (and two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, of which one shall be for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt sacrifice;)

²³ and he shall offer those in the eighth day of his cleansing to the priest, at the door of the tabernacle of witnessing, before the Lord. (and he shall bring them on the eighth day of his cleansing to the priest, at the entrance to the Tabernacle of the Witnessing, before the Lord.)

²⁴ And the priest shall take the lamb offered for trespass, and the sextary of oil, and shall raise (them up) together; (And the priest shall take the lamb for the trespass offering, and the pint of oil, and shall raise them up as a special gift before the Lord;)

²⁵ and when the lamb is offered, he shall put of the blood thereof on the last part of the right ear of him that is (to be) cleansed, and on the thumbs of his right hand and foot. (and when the lamb is offered, he shall put some of its blood on the lobe of the right ear of him who is to be pronounced clean, and on the thumb of his right hand, and the great toe of his right foot.)

²⁶ Soothly the priest (shall) put the part of (the) oil into his own left hand, (Then the priest shall put some of the oil into his own left hand,)

²⁷ in which he shall dip the finger of his right hand, and he shall sprinkle it seven times against the Lord (or and he shall sprinkle it seven times before the Lord);

²⁸ and the priest shall touch the last part of the right ear of him that is (to be) cleansed, and the thumbs of the right hand and foot, in the place of the blood which is shed out for trespass. (and the priest shall put some of the oil on the lobe of the right ear of him who is to be pronounced clean, and on the thumb of his right hand, and the great toe of his right foot, that is, where the blood for the trespass offering was put.)

²⁹ Soothly the priest shall put the tother part of the oil, that is in his left hand, upon the head of the man that is (to be) cleansed, that he please the Lord for him. (And the priest shall put the rest of the oil, that is in his left hand, on the head of the man that is to be pronounced clean, so that he be made clean before the Lord.)

³⁰ And he shall offer a turtle, or a culver bird, (And he shall offer a turtledove, or a young pigeon,)

³¹ one for trespass, and the tother into burnt sacrifice, with their flowing offerings. (one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt sacrifice, with the grain offering.)

³² This is the sacrifice of a leprous man, that may not have all things into the cleansing of himself. (This is the law for a leprous man, who may not have all the things needed for the offering for his cleansing.)

³³ And the Lord spake to Moses and Aaron, and said,

(And the priest shall command, that they carry everything out of the house, before that he enter into it, so that he can see whether there is leprosy, lest all the things that be in the house should be pronounced unclean; and the priest shall enter afterward, so that he can see the leprosy in the house.)

³⁷ And when he seeth in the walls thereof as little valleys, or crevices, defouled with paleness, either with redness, and lower than the tother higher part, (And when he seeth little valleys, or little crevices, in its walls, defiled with paleness, or with redness, and lower than the other higher part,)

³⁸ he shall go out at the door of the house, and anon he shall close it by seven days. (he shall go out of the door of the house, and at once he shall close it up for seven days.)

³⁹ And he shall turn again in the seventh day (or And he shall return on the seventh day), and shall see it; and if he findeth that the leprosy hath increased,

⁴⁰ he shall command that the stones be cast out, in which the leprosy is, and that those stones be cast out of the city into an unclean place. (he shall command that the stones, on which the leprosy is found, be thrown out, and that those stones be thrown into an unclean place outside the city.)

⁴¹ Soothly he shall command that that house be razed within by compass, and that the dust of the razing be sprinkled without the city, in an unclean place,

⁴⁵ which house they shall destroy anon, and they shall cast out of the city, into an unclean place, the stones thereof, and the wood, and all the dust. (which house they shall destroy at once, and its stones, and its wood, and all of its dust, they shall throw into an unclean place outside the city.)

⁴⁶ He that entereth into the house, when it is shut (up), shall be unclean till to eventide,

⁴⁷ and he that sleepeth in it, and eateth anything therein, he shall wash his clothes.

(But if the priest entereth, and seeth that the leprosy hath not grown again, or not spread, in the house, after that it was daubed the second time, the priest shall pronounce it to be clean; for health hath been restored to it, that is, the plague hath been cured.)

⁴⁹ And to the cleansing thereof (or And for its cleansing), the priest shall take two sparrows, and cedar wood, and vermilion, that is, a red thread, and hyssop.

⁵⁰ And when one sparrow is offered in a vessel of earth, on quick waters, (And when one sparrow is offered in an earthen, or a clay, vessel, filled with fresh water,)

⁵¹ the priest shall take the cedar wood, and hyssop, and the red thread, and the quick sparrow, and he shall dip, or wet, all these things in the blood of the sparrow offered, or slain, and in the quick waters; and he shall sprinkle the house seven times; (the priest shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the red thread, and the living sparrow, and he shall dip all these things in the blood of the slain sparrow, and in the fresh water; and he shall sprinkle the house seven times;)

⁵² and he shall cleanse it as well in the blood of the sparrow, as in the living waters, and in the quick sparrow, and in the cedar wood, and in the hyssop, and (the) red thread. (and so he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the sparrow, and the fresh water, and the living sparrow, and the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the red thread.)

⁵³ And when he hath let go the sparrow to fly away into the field freely, he shall pray for the house, and it shall be cleansed rightfully. (And when he hath let the sparrow go, to fly away freely into the field, he shall pray for the house, and so by this rite it shall be made clean.)

⁵⁴ This is the law of all leprosy, and of smiting, (This is the law for all kinds of leprosy, and of scurf, or of scales,)

⁵⁵ and of leprosy of clothes, and of houses,

⁸ And whanne the man hath waische hise clothis, he schal schaue alle the heeris of the bodi, and he schal be waischun in watir, and he schal be clensid, and he schal entre in to the castels; so oneli that he dwelle without his tabernacle bi seuene daies;

⁹ and that in the seuenthe dai he schaue the heeris of the heed, and the beerd, and brewis, and the heeris of al the bodi. And whanne the clothis and bodi ben waischun,

¹⁰ eft in the eiyetithe dai he schal take twei lambren without wem, and a scheep of o yeer without wem, and thre dymes of wheete flour, in to sacrifice, which be spreynte with oile, and bi it silf a sextarie of oyle.

¹¹ And whanne the preest, that purgith the man, hath set hym and alle hise thingis bifor the Lord, in the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng, he schal take a lomb,

¹² and schal offre it for trespas, and schal offre the sextarie of oyle; and whanne alle thingis ben offrid bifor the Lord,

¹³ he schal offre the lomb, where the sacrifice for synne and the brent sacrifice is wont to be offrid, that is, in the hooli place; for as for synne so and for trespas the offryng perteyneth to the preest; it is hooli of the noumbre of hooli thingis.

¹⁴ And the preest schal take of the blood of sacrifice which is offrid for trespas, and schal putte on the laste part of the riyt eere `of hym which is clensid, and on the thumbis of the riyt hond and foot.

¹⁵ And he schal putte of the sextarie of oyle in to his left hond,

¹⁶ and he schal dippe the riyt fyngur therynne, and schal sprynge seuensithis bifor the Lord.

¹⁷ Sotheli he schal schede that that is residue of the oile in the left hond, on the laste part of the riyt eere `of hym which is clensid, and on the thombis of the riyt hond and foot, and on the blood which is sched for trespas,

¹⁸ and on the heed `of hym.

¹⁹ And the preest schal preye for hym bifor the Lord, and schal make sacrifice for synne; thanne he schal offre brent sacrifice,

²⁰ and schal putte it in the auter with hise fletynge sacrifices, and the man schal be clensid riytfuli.

²¹ That if he is pore, and his hoond may not fynde tho thingis that ben seid, he schal take for trespas a lomb to offryng, that the preest preie for him, and the tenthe part of wheete flour spreynt togidire with oile in to sacrifice, and a sextarie of oile,

²² and twei turtlis, ethir twei `briddis of culueris, of whiche oon be for synne, and the tothir in to brent sacrifice;

²³ and he schal offre tho in the eiytthe dai of his clensyng to the preest, at the dore of tabernacle of witnessyng bifor the Lord.

²⁴ And the preest schal take the lomb for trespas, and the sextarie of oile, and schal reise togidere;

²⁵ and whanne the lomb is offrid, he schal putte of the blood therof on the laste part of the riyt eere `of hym that is clensid, and on the thumbis of his riyt hond and foot.

²⁶ Sotheli the preest putte the part of oile in to his left hond,

²⁷ in which he schal dippe the fyngur of the riyt hond, and schal sprynge seuensithes ayens the Lord;

²⁸ and the preest schal touche the laste part of the riyt eere `of hym that is clensid, and the thombe of the riyt hond and foot, in the place of blood which is sched out for trespas.

²⁹ Sotheli he schal putte the tother part of oile, which is in the left hond, on the `heed of the man clensid, that he plese the Lord for hym.

³⁰ And he schal offre a turtle, ethir a culuer brid,

³¹ oon for trespas, and the tothir in to brent sacrifice, with her fletynge offryngis.

³² This is the sacrifice of a leprouse man, that may not haue alle thingis in to the clensyng of hym silf.

³³ And the Lord spak to Moises and Aaron, and seide,

³⁴ Whanne ye han entrid in to the lond of Canaan, which lond Y schal yyue to you in to possessioun, if the wounde of lepre is in the housis,

³⁵ he schal go, whos the hous is, `and schal telle to the preest, and schal seie, It semeth to me, that as a wound of lepre is in myn hous.

³⁶ And the preest schal comaunde, `that thei bere out of the hous alle thingis bifore that he entre in to it, `and me se where it be lepre, lest alle thingis that ben in the hows, be maad vnclene; and the preest schal entre aftirward, that he se the lepre of the hows.

³⁷ And whanne he seeth in the wallis therof as litle valeis `foule bi palenesse, ethir bi reednesse, and lowere than the tother hiyere part,

³⁸ he schal go out at the dore of the hows, and anoon he schal close it bi seuene daies.

³⁹ And he schal turne ayen in the seuenthe day, and schal se it; if he fyndith that the lepre encreesside,

⁴⁰ he schal comaunde that the stoonys be cast out, in whyche the lepre is, and that tho stonys be cast out of the citee in an vncleene place.

⁴¹ Sotheli he schal comaunde that thilke hows be rasid with ynne bi cumpas, and that the dust of the rasyng be spreynt without the citee, in an vnclene place,

⁴² and that othere stoonys be put ayen for these, that ben takun awey, and that the hows be daubid with othir morter.

⁴³ But if aftir that the stoonus ben takun awey, and the dust is borun out,

⁴⁴ and othere erthe is daubid, the preest entrith, and seeth the lepre turned ayen, and the wallis spreynt with spottis, the lepre is stidfastly dwellynge, and the hows is vnclene;

⁴⁵ which hows thei schulen destrye anoon, and thei schulen caste out of the citee, in an vnclene place, the stoonys therof, and the trees, and al the dust.

⁴⁶ He that entrith in to the hous, whanne it is schit, schal be vnclene `til to euentid,

⁴⁷ and he that slepith and etith ony thing therynne, schal waische hise clothis.

⁴⁸ That if the preest entrith, and seeth that the lepre encreesside not in the hows, aftir that it was daubid the secounde tyme, he schal clense it; for heelthe is yoldun.

⁴⁹ And in the clensyng therof he schal take twey sparewis, and `a tre of cedre, and `a reed threed, and isope.

⁵⁰ And whanne o sparewe is offrid in a vessel of erthe, on quyk watris,

⁵¹ he schal take the `tre of cedre, and ysope, and reed threed, and the quyk sparewe, and he schal dippe alle thingis in the blood of the sparewe offrid, and in lyuynge watris;

⁵² and he schal sprynge the hows seuen sithis; and he schal clense it as wel in the blood of the sparewe as in lyuynge watris, and in the quyk sparewe, and in the `tre of cedre, and in ysope, and `reed threed.

⁵³ And whanne he hath left the sparewe to fle in to the feeld frely, he schal preye for the hows, and it schal be clensid riytfuli.

⁵⁴ This is the lawe of al lepre,

⁵⁵ and of smytyng, of lepre of clothis, and of housis,

⁸ 'And he who is to be cleansed hath washed his garments, and hath shaved all his hair, and hath bathed with water, and hath been clean, and afterwards he doth come in unto the camp, and hath dwelt at the outside of his tent seven days.

⁹ 'And it hath been, on the seventh day — he shaveth all his hair, his head, and his beard, and his eyebrows, even all his hair he doth shave, and he hath washed his garments, and hath bathed his flesh with water, and hath been clean.

¹⁰ 'And on the eighth day he taketh two lambs, perfect ones, and one ewe-lamb, daughter of a year, a perfect one, and three tenth deals of flour for a present, mixed with oil, and one log of oil.

¹¹ 'And the priest who is cleansing hath caused the man who is to be cleansed to stand with them before Jehovah, at the opening of the tent of meeting,

¹² and the priest hath taken the one he-lamb, and hath brought it near for a guilt-offering, also the log of oil, and hath waved them — a wave offering before Jehovah.

¹³ 'And he hath slaughtered the lamb in the place where he slaughtereth the sin-offering and the burnt-offering, in the holy place; for like the sin-offering the guilt-offering is to the priest; it is most holy.

¹⁴ 'And the priest hath taken of the blood of the guilt-offering, and the priest hath put on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot;

¹⁵ and the priest hath taken of the log of oil, and hath poured on the left palm of the priest,

¹⁶ and the priest hath dipped his right finger in the oil which is on his left palm, and hath sprinkled of the oil with his finger seven times before Jehovah.

¹⁷ 'And of the residue of the oil which is on his palm, the priest putteth on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, on the blood of the guilt-offering;

¹⁸ and the remnant of the oil which is on the palm of the priest, he putteth on the head of him who is to be cleansed, and the priest hath made atonement for him before Jehovah.

¹⁹ 'And the priest hath made the sin-offering, and hath made atonement for him who is to be cleansed from his uncleanness, and afterwards he doth slaughter the burnt-offering;

²⁰ and the priest hath caused the burnt-offering to ascend, also the present, on the altar, and the priest hath made atonement for him, and he hath been clean.

²¹ 'And if he is poor, and his hand is not reaching these things, then he hath taken one lamb — a guilt-offering, for a wave-offering, to make atonement for him, and one-tenth deal of flour mixed with oil for a present, and a log of oil,

²² and two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons, which his hand reacheth to, and one hath been a sin-offering, and the one a burnt-offering;

²³ and he hath brought them in on the eighth day for his cleansing unto the priest, unto the opening of the tent of meeting, before Jehovah.

²⁴ 'And the priest hath taken the lamb of the guilt-offering, and the log of oil, and the priest hath waved them — a wave-offering before Jehovah;

²⁵ and he hath slaughtered the lamb of the guilt-offering, and the priest hath taken of the blood of the guilt-offering, and hath put on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot;

²⁶ and the priest doth pour of the oil on the left palm of the priest;

²⁷ and the priest hath sprinkled with his right finger of the oil which is on his left palm, seven times before Jehovah.

²⁸ 'And the priest hath put of the oil which is on his palm, on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the guilt-offering;

²⁹ and the remnant of the oil which is on the palm of the priest he doth put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him, before Jehovah.

³⁰ 'And he hath made the one of the turtle-doves, or of the young pigeons (from that which his hand reacheth to,

³¹ even that which his hand reacheth to), the one a sin-offering, and the one a burnt offering, besides the present, and the priest hath made atonement for him who is to be cleansed before Jehovah.

³² This is a law of him in whom is a plague of leprosy, whose hand reacheth not to his cleansing.'

³³ And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, and unto Aaron, saying,

³⁴ 'When ye come in unto the land of Canaan, which I am giving to you for a possession, and I have put a plague of leprosy in a house in the land of your possession;

³⁵ then hath he whose the house is come in and declared to the priest, saying, As a plague hath appeared to me in the house;

³⁶ and the priest hath commanded, and they have prepared the house before the priest cometh in to see the plague (that all which is in the house be not unclean), and afterwards doth the priest come in to see the house;

³⁷ and he hath seen the plague, and lo, the plague is in the walls of the house, hollow strakes, very green or very red, and their appearance is lower than the wall,

³⁸ and the priest hath gone out of the house unto the opening of the house, and hath shut up the house seven days.

³⁹ 'And the priest hath turned back on the seventh day, and hath seen, and lo, the plague hath spread in the walls of the house,

⁴⁰ and the priest hath commanded, and they have drawn out the stones in which the plague is, and have cast them unto the outside of the city, unto an unclean place;

⁴¹ and the house he doth cause to be scraped within round about, and they have poured out the clay which they have scraped off, at the outside of the city, at an unclean place;

⁴² and they have taken other stones, and brought them in unto the place of the stones, and other clay he taketh and hath daubed the house.

⁴³ 'And if the plague return, and hath broken out in the house, after he hath drawn out the stones, and after the scraping of the house, and after the daubing;

⁴⁴ then hath the priest come in and seen, and lo, the plague hath spread in the house; it is a fretting leprosy in the house; it is unclean.

⁴⁵ 'And he hath broken down the house, its stones, and its wood, and all the clay of the house, and he hath brought them forth unto the outside of the city, unto an unclean place.

⁴⁶ 'And he who is going in unto the house all the days he hath shut it up, is unclean till the evening;

⁴⁷ and he who is lying in the house doth wash his garments; and he who is eating in the house doth wash his garments.

⁴⁸ 'And if the priest certainly come in, and hath seen, and lo, the plague hath not spread in the house after the daubing of the house, then hath the priest pronounced the house clean, for the plague hath been healed.

⁴⁹ 'And he hath taken for the cleansing of the house two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop;

⁵⁰ and he hath slaughtered the one bird upon an earthen vessel, over running water;

⁵¹ and he hath taken the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and hath dipped them in the blood of the slaughtered bird, and in the running water, and hath sprinkled upon the house seven times.

⁵² 'And he hath cleansed the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet;

⁵³ and he hath sent away the living bird unto the outside of the city unto the face of the field, and hath made atonement for the house, and it hath been clean.

⁵⁴ 'This is the law for every plague of the leprosy and for scall,

⁵⁵ and for leprosy of a garment, and of a house,
