⁶ And the hare, because she cheweth the cud but parteth not the hoof, she is unclean unto you.

⁷ And the swine, because he parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, but cheweth not the cud, he is unclean unto you.

⁸ Of their flesh ye shall not eat, and their carcasses ye shall not touch; they are unclean unto you.

⁹ These may ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, that may ye eat.

¹⁰ And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of all the living creatures that are in the waters, they are an abomination unto you,

¹¹ and they shall be an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, and their carcasses ye shall have in abomination.

¹² Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that is an abomination unto you.

¹³ And these ye shall have in abomination among the birds; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the gier-eagle, and the ospray,

¹⁴ and the kite, and the falcon after its kind,

¹⁵ every raven after its kind,

¹⁶ and the ostrich, and the night-hawk, and the sea-mew, and the hawk after its kind,

⁶ And the hare, because it does not chew the cud, and does not divide the hoof, this is unclean to you.

⁷ And the swine, because this animal divides the hoof, and makes claws of the hoof, and it does not chew the cud, is unclean to you.

⁸ Ye shall not eat of their flesh, and ye shall not touch their carcases; these are unclean to you.

⁹ And these are what ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all things that have fins and scales in the waters, and in the seas, and in the brooks, these ye shall eat.

¹⁰ And all things which have not fins or scales in the water, or in the seas, and in the brooks, of all which the waters produce, and of every soul living in the water, are an abomination; and they shall be abominations to you.

¹¹ Ye shall not eat of their flesh, and ye shall abhor their carcases.

¹² And all things that have not fins or scales of those that are in the waters, these are an abomination to you.

¹³ And these are the things which ye shall abhor of birds, and they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle and the ossifrage, and the sea-eagle.

¹⁴ And the vulture, and the kite, and the like to it;

¹⁵ and the sparrow, and the owl, and the sea-mew, and the like to it:

¹⁶ and every raven, and the birds like it, and the hawk and his like,

⁶ Rabbits chew their cuds but do not have split hooves, so they are unacceptable for you to eat.

⁷ Pigs have completely split hooves but they do not chew their cuds, so they are unacceptable for you to eat.

⁸ All of those animals are unacceptable for you, so you must not eat their meat or even touch their carcasses.

⁹ From all the creatures that live in the oceans and the streams, you are permitted to eat any that have fins and scales.

¹⁰ But you must detest and not eat those that do not have fins and scales. That includes ones that are very small.

¹¹ You must despise them, and you must not eat their meat, and you must detest their carcasses.

¹² You must detest everything that lives in the water that does not have fins and scales.

¹³ There are some birds that you must detest and not eat. They include eagles, bearded vultures, black vultures,

¹⁴ kites, any kind of falcon/buzzard,

¹⁵ any kind of raven,

¹⁶ horned owls, screech owls, seagulls, any kind of hawk,

⁶ And the hare, because it does not chew the cud, and does not divide the hoof, this is unclean to you.

⁷ And the swine, because this animal divides the hoof, and makes claws of the hoof, and it does not chew the cud, is unclean to you.

⁸ You° shall not eat of their flesh, and you° shall not touch their carcases; these are unclean to you.

⁹ And these are what you° shall eat of all that are in the waters: all things that have fins and scales in the waters, and in the seas, and in the brooks, these you° shall eat.

⁶ And the hare, because the horn of its foot is not parted in two, is unclean to you.

⁷ And the pig is unclean to you, because though the horn of its foot is parted, its food does not come back.

⁸ Their flesh may not be used for food, and their dead bodies may not even be touched; they are unclean to you.

⁹ These you may have for food of all things living in the water: anything living in the water, in the seas or rivers, which has special parts for swimming and skin formed of thin plates, may be used for food.

¹⁰ All other things living and moving in the water, in the sea or in the rivers, are a disgusting thing to you;

¹¹ They may not be used for food, and their dead bodies are disgusting to you.

¹² Anything in the water which has no special parts for swimming and no thin plates on its skin is disgusting to you.

¹³ And among birds these are to be disgusting to you, and not to be used for food: the eagle and the gier-eagle and the ospray;

¹⁴ And the kite and the falcon, and birds of that sort;

¹⁵ Every raven, and birds of that sort;

¹⁶ And the ostrich and the night-hawk and the sea-hawk, and birds of that sort;

⁶ and the hare, for it cheweth the cud, but hath not cloven hoofs — it shall be unclean unto you;

⁷ and the swine, for it hath cloven hoofs, and feet quite split open, but it cheweth not the cud — it shall be unclean unto you.

⁹ These are the things that breed in the waters, and which it is lawful to eat. All that hath fins, and scales, as well in the sea, as in the rivers, and the pools, you shall eat.

¹⁰ But whatsoever hath not fins and scales, of those things that move and live in the waters, shall be an abomination to you,

¹¹ And detestable: their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall avoid.

¹² All that have not fins and scales, in the waters, shall be unclean.

¹³ Of birds these are they which you must not eat, and which are to be avoided by you: The eagle, and the griffon, and the osprey,

¹⁴ And the kite, and the vulture, according to their kind,

¹⁵ And all that is of the raven kind, according to their likeness.

¹⁶ The ostrich, and the owl, and the larus, and the hawk according to its kind.

⁶ The hare, which though it chews the cud doesn't have a divided hoof, so it is unclean for you.

⁷ The pig, which though it has a divided hoof doesn't chew the cud, so it is unclean for you.

⁸ You are not to eat their meat or touch their bead bodies. They are unclean for you.

⁹ You are allowed to eat any creature with fins and scales that lives in the water, whether in the sea or in fresh water.

¹⁰ But you are not allowed to eat any of the many creatures that don't have fins and scales that live in the water, whether in the sea or in fresh water.

¹¹ They are repulsive. You must not eat their meat, and you must treat their dead bodies as repulsive.

¹² All such water creatures that don't have fins and scales are to be repulsive to you.

¹³ As for the birds, these must not be eaten because they are repulsive: eagle, griffon vulture, bearded vulture,

¹⁴ buzzard, kite and similar birds of prey,

¹⁵ any raven or crow,

¹⁶ tawny owl, long-eared owl, gulls, any kind of hawk,

⁶ Also the hare, because he cheweth the cud, and deuideth not the hoofe, he shalbe vncleane to you.

⁷ And the swine, because he parteth ye hoofe and is clouen footed, but cheweth not the cud, he shalbe vncleane to you.

⁸ Of their flesh shall yee not eate, and their carkeise shall yee not touch: for they shall bee vncleane to you.

⁹ These shall ye eate, of all that are in the waters: whatsoeuer hath finnes and skales in ye waters, in the seas, or in the riuers, them shall ye eate.

¹⁰ But all that haue not finnes nor skales in the seas, or in the riuers, of all that moueth in the waters, and of al liuing things that are in the waters, they shalbe an abomination vnto you.

¹¹ They, I say, shalbe an abomination to you: ye shall not eate of their flesh, but shall abhorre their carkeis.

¹² Whatsoeuer hath not fins nor skales in the waters, that shalbe abomination vnto you.

¹³ These shall ye haue also in abomination among the foules, they shall not be eaten: for they are an abomination, the eagle, and the goshauke, and the osprey:

¹⁴ Also the vultur, and the kite after his kinde,

¹⁵ And all rauens after their kinde:

¹⁶ The ostrich also, and the night crowe, and the seameaw, and the hauke after his kinde:

⁶ And the hare, because she cheweth the cud but parteth not the hoof, she is unclean unto you.

¹⁰ But anyone that hath not (both) fins and scales in the seas and in the rivers; every (such) reptile of the waters, and every living animal in the waters, shall they be to you;

¹¹ of their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcases you shall abhor;

¹² Whatsoever hat not (both) fins and scales in the waters is to be an abomination to you.

¹³ And these shall you hold in abomination among the birds; you shall not eat them, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the sea eagle, and the osprey,

¹⁴ And the kite, and the vulture, after his kind;

⁹ The animals living in the water that you may eat are all those that have fins and scales, whether in the ocean or in the rivers.

¹⁰ But all living creatures that do not have fins and scales in the ocean or rivers, including all that move in the water and all the living creatures that are in the water— they must be detested by you.

¹¹ Since they must be detested, you must not eat of their meat; also, their carcasses must be detested.

¹² Whatever has no fins or scales in the water must be detested by you.

¹³ The birds you must detest and that you must not eat are these: the eagle, the vulture,

⁹ These shall ye eat, of all that are in the waters: whatever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.

⁹ Also these things be that be engendered in waters, and it is leaveful to eat; ye shall eat all things that have fins and scales, as well in the sea, as in the fresh floods, and standing waters;

¹⁰ soothly whatever thing of them that be moved and live in waters, hath not fins and scales, shall be abominable, and loathsome to you;

¹¹ and ye shall not eat the flesh of those or them, and ye shall eschew their bodies dead by themselves.

¹² All things in the waters that have not fins and scales, shall be polluted.

¹³ These things be of fowls which ye shall not eat, and shall be eschewed or shunned of you; an eagle, and a gripe, and an aliet,

¹⁴ and a kite, and a vulture by his kind;

¹⁵ and all the kind of ravens by his likeness;

¹⁶ a struthio, and a night crow, and a lari, or a coot, and a hawk by his kind;

⁶ and an hare, for also he cheweth (the) cud, but parteth not the claw (or but its hoof is not divided);

⁷ and a swine, that cheweth not the cud, though he parteth the claw (or though its hoof is divided).

⁸ Ye shall not eat the flesh of these beasts, neither ye shall touch their dead bodies, for those be unclean to you.

¹¹ and ye shall not eat the flesh of those, and ye shall eschew their bodies dead by themselves. (and ye shall not eat their flesh, and ye shall shun their dead bodies.)

⁹ Also these thingis ben that ben gendrid in watris, and is leueful to ete;

¹⁰ ye schulen ete al thing that hath fynnes and scalis, as wel in the see, as in floodis and stondynge watris; sotheli what euer thing of tho that ben moued and lyuen in watris, hath not fynnes and scalis, schal be abhominable, and wlatsum to you;

¹¹ ye schulen not ete the fleischis of tho, and ye schulen eschewe the bodies deed bi hem silf.

¹² Alle thingis in watris that han not fynnes and scalis, schulen be pollutid,

¹³ These thingis ben of foulis whiche ye schulen not ete, and schulen be eschewid of you; an egle, and a grippe, aliete, and a kyte, and a vultur by his kynde;

¹⁴ and al of `rauyns kynde bi his licnesse;

¹⁵ a strucioun,

¹⁶ and nyyt crowe, a lare, and an hauke bi his kinde;

⁶ and the hare, though it is bringing up the cud, yet the hoof hath not divided — unclean it is to you;

⁷ and the sow, though it is dividing the hoof, and cleaving the cleft of the hoof, yet the cud it bringeth not up — unclean it is to you.

⁸ 'Of their flesh ye do not eat, and against their carcase ye do not come — unclean they are to you.

⁹ 'This ye do eat of all which are in the waters; any one that hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the brooks, them ye do eat;

¹⁰ and any one that hath not fins and scales in the seas, and in the brooks, of any teeming creature of the waters, and of any creature which liveth, which is in the waters — an abomination they are to you;

¹¹ yea, an abomination they are to you; of their flesh ye do not eat, and their carcase ye abominate.

¹² 'Any one that hath not fins and scales in the waters — an abomination it is to you.

¹³ 'And these ye do abominate of the fowl; they are not eaten, an abomination they are: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,

¹⁴ and the vulture, and the kite after its kind,

¹⁵ every raven after its kind,
