⁴⁰ And he that eateth of the carcass of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: he also that beareth the carcass of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.

⁴¹ And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth is an abomination; it shall not be eaten.

⁴² Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all fours, or whatsoever hath many feet, even all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.

⁴³ Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.

⁴⁴ For I am Jehovah your God: sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that moveth upon the earth.

⁴⁵ For I am Jehovah that brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

⁴⁶ This is the law of the beast, and of the bird, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth;

⁴¹ All creatures that crawl along the ground, including those that move on their bellies and those that crawl, are detestable, and they must not be eaten.

⁴³ Do not ◄defile yourselves/cause you to become unacceptable to me► by eating any of those creatures DOU.

⁴⁴ I am Yahweh your God, and I am holy, so you must consecrate yourselves and be holy. You must avoid eating things that cause you to be unacceptable to me. Do not cause yourselves to become unacceptable to me by eating creatures that crawl along on the ground.

⁴⁵ I am Yahweh, the one who freed you from being slaves in Egypt, in order to be your God. Therefore, because I am holy, you must be holy.

⁴⁶ Those are the regulations concerning animals and birds, all the living creatures that live in water or scurry along on the ground.

⁴⁰ And he that eats of their carcases shall wash his garments, and be unclean till evening; and he that carries any of their carcases shall wash his garments, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean till evening.

⁴¹ And every reptile that creeps on the earth, this shall be an abomination to you; it shall not be eaten.

⁴¹ Everything which goes flat on its body on the earth is disgusting, and is not to be used for food.

⁴² Whatever goes on its stomach or on four feet or has a great number of feet, even all those going flat on the earth, may not be used for food, for they are disgusting.

⁴³ You are not to make yourselves disgusting with anything which goes about flat on the earth; you may not make yourselves unclean with them, in such a way that you are not holy to me.

⁴⁴ For I am the Lord your God: for this reason, make and keep yourselves holy, for I am holy; you are not to make yourselves unclean with any sort of thing which goes about flat on the earth.

⁴⁵ For I am the Lord, who took you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God; so be you holy, for I am holy.

⁴⁶ This is the law about beasts and birds and every living thing moving in the waters, and every living thing which goes flat on the earth:

⁴⁶ This is the law of cattle, and of fowl, and of every living soul that moveth in the waters, and of every soul that crawleth on the earth;

⁴⁰ And he that eateth or carrieth any thing thereof, shall wash his clothes, and shall be unclean until the evening.

⁴¹ All that creepeth upon the earth shall be abominable, neither shall it be taken for meat.

⁴² Whatsoever goeth upon the breast on four feet, or hath many feet, or traileth on the earth, you shall not eat, because it is abominable.

⁴³ Do not defile your souls, nor touch aught thereof, lest you be unclean,

⁴⁴ For I am the Lord your God: be holy because I am holy. Defile not your souls by any creeping thing, that moveth upon the earth.

⁴⁵ For I am the Lord, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that I might be your God.

⁴⁶ You shall be holy, because I am holy. This is the law of beasts and fowls, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and creepeth on the earth:

⁴⁰ If you eat anything from the dead body you must wash your clothes and you will be unclean until the evening. If you pick up the dead body you must wash your clothes and you will be unclean until the evening.

⁴¹ Every animal that crawls along the ground is repulsive—you must not eat it.

⁴² Don't eat any animal that crawls along the ground, whether it moves on its belly or walks on four feet or many feet. All such animals are repulsive.

⁴³ Don't defile yourselves by any such crawling animal. Don't make yourselves unclean or defiled by them,

⁴⁴ because I am the Lord your God; so dedicate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy. Don't defile yourselves by any animal that crawls along the ground.

⁴⁵ I am the Lord who led you out of Egypt so that I could be your God. So be holy, because I am holy.

⁴⁶ These are the regulations about animals, birds, everything that lives in the water, and all animals that crawl along the ground.

⁴⁶ This is the law of beasts, and of foules, and of euery liuing thing that moueth in the waters, and of euery thing that creepeth vpon the earth:

⁴¹ And every swarming thing that swarmeth upon the earth is a detestable thing; it shall not be eaten.

⁴⁶ “‘This is the law of the animal, and of the bird, and of every living creature that moves in the waters, and of every creature that creeps on the earth,

⁴⁰ And he that eateth of its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening; he also that beareth its carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.

⁴¹ And every creeping animal that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten.

⁴² Whatever goeth upon the belly, and whatever goeth upon all four, or whatever hath more feet among all creeping animals that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.

⁴³ Ye shall not make your selves abominable with any creeping animal that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled by them.

⁴⁴ For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping animal that creepeth upon the earth.

⁴⁵ For I am the LORD that bringeth you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

⁴⁶ This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth;

⁴⁰ and he that eateth thereof anything, either beareth it, shall wash his clothes, and shall be unclean till to eventide.

⁴⁵ for I am the Lord, that led you out of the land of Egypt, that I should be to you into God; ye shall be holy, for I am holy. (for I am the Lord, who led you out of the land of Egypt, so that I could become your God; ye shall be holy, for I am holy.)

⁴⁶ This is the law of living beasts, and of fowls, and of each living thing that is moved in water, and creepeth in earth; (This is the law concerning living beasts, and birds, and each living thing that moveth in water, and that creepeth upon the ground;)

⁴⁰ ethir berith, schal waische his clothis, and schal be vnclene `til to euentid.

⁴¹ Al thing that crepith on erthe, schal be abhomynable, nether schal be takun in to mete.

⁴² `What euer thing goith on the brest and foure feet, and hath many feet, ethir drawun bi the erthe, ye schulen not ete, for it is abhomynable.

⁴³ Nyle ye defoule youre soulis, nether touche ye ony thing of tho, lest ye ben vnclene;

⁴⁴ for Y am youre Lord God; be ye hooli, for Y am hooli. Defoule ye not youre soulis in ech crepynge `beeste which is moued on erthe; for Y am the Lord,

⁴⁵ that ladde you out of the lond of Egipt, that Y schulde be to you in to God; ye schulen be hooli, for Y am hooli.

⁴⁶ This is the lawe of lyuynge beestes, and of foulis, and of ech lyuynge soule which is moued in watir, and crepith in erthe;

⁴⁰ and he who is eating of its carcase doth wash his garments, and hath been unclean till the evening; and he who is lifting up its carcase doth wash his garments, and hath been unclean till the evening.

⁴¹ 'And every teeming thing which is teeming on the earth is an abomination, it is not eaten;

⁴² any thing going on the belly, and any going on four, unto every multiplier of feet, to every teeming thing which is teeming on the earth — ye do not eat them, for they are an abomination;

⁴³ ye do not make yourselves abominable with any teeming thing which is teeming, nor do ye make yourselves unclean with them, so that ye have been unclean thereby.

⁴⁴ 'For I am Jehovah your God, and ye have sanctified yourselves, and ye have been holy, for I am holy; and ye do not defile your persons with any teeming thing which is creeping on the earth;

⁴⁵ for I am Jehovah who am bringing you up out of the land of Egypt to become your God; and ye have been holy, for I am holy.
