³⁶ Nevertheless a fountain or a pit wherein is a gathering of water shall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcass shall be unclean.

³⁷ And if aught of their carcass fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it is clean.

³⁸ But if water be put upon the seed, and aught of their carcass fall thereon, it is unclean unto you.

³⁹ And if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the carcass thereof shall be unclean until the even.

³⁶ Only if the water be of fountains of water, or a pool, or confluence of water, it shall be clean; but he that touches their carcases shall be unclean.

³⁷ And if one of their carcases should fall upon any sowing seed which shall be sown, it shall be clean.

³⁸ But if water be poured on any seed, and one of their dead bodies fall upon it, it is unclean to you.

³⁹ And if one of the cattle die, which it is lawful for you to eat, he that touches their carcases shall be unclean till evening.

³⁷ If one of those carcasses falls on seeds that are to be planted, those seeds are still acceptable to be planted.

³⁸ But if water has been put on the seeds and then a carcass falls on them, the seeds must be thrown away.

³⁹ If an animal whose meat you are permitted to eat dies, anyone who touches its carcass must not touch other people until that evening.

³⁶ Only if the water be of fountains of water, or a pool, or confluence of water, it shall be clean; but he that touches their carcases shall be unclean.

³⁹ And if any beast which may be used for food comes to a natural death, anyone touching its dead body will be unclean till evening.

³⁶ Nevertheless, a spring or a well, a quantity of water, shall be clean. But he that toucheth their carcase shall be unclean.

³⁷ And if any part of their carcase fall upon any sowing-seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean;

³⁸ but if water have been put on the seed, and any part of their carcase fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you.

³⁹ And if any beast which is to you for food die, he that toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the even.

³⁶ But fountains and cisterns, and all gatherings together of waters shall be clean. He that toucheth their carcasses shall be defiled.

³⁷ If it fall upon seed corn, it shall not defile it.

³⁸ But if any man pour water upon the seed, and afterwards it be touched by the carcasses, it shall be forthwith defiled.

³⁹ If any beast die, of which it is lawful for you to eat, he that toucheth the carcass thereof, shall be unclean until the evening:

³⁶ On the other hand, if it's a spring or cistern containing water then it will remain clean, but if you touch one of these dead bodies in it you will be unclean.

³⁷ Similarly, if one of their dead bodies falls on any seed used for sowing, the seed remains clean;

³⁸ but if the seed has been soaked in water and one of their dead bodies falls on it, it is unclean for you.

³⁹ If an animal that you are allowed to eat dies, anyone who touches the dead body will be unclean until the evening.

³⁶ Yet the fountaines and welles where there is plentie of water shalbe cleane: but that which toucheth their carkeises shalbe vncleane.

³⁷ And if there fal of their dead carkeis vpon any seede, which vseth to be sowe, it shalbe cleane.

³⁸ But if any water be powred vpon ye seede, and there fal of their dead carkeis thereon, it shall be vncleane vnto you.

³⁹ If also any beast, whereof ye may eate, die, he that toucheth the carkeis thereof shall be vncleane vntil the euen.

³⁹ And if anyone of the cattle of which you eat die, whosoever toucheth its carcase shall be unclean until the evening.

³⁷ If it falleth upon seed, it shall not defoul the seed;

³⁸ soothly if any man sheddeth or pour out the seed with water, and afterward the water is touched with dead bodies by themselves, it shall be defouled anon.

³⁹ If a beast is dead, which it is leaveful to you to eat, he that toucheth the dead body thereof shall be unclean till to eventide;

³⁶ Soothly wells and cisterns, and all the gatherings together of waters, shall be clean. He that toucheth their body dead by itself, shall be defouled, (or But whoever toucheth their dead body shall be defiled, or unclean).

³⁷ If it falleth upon (a) seed, it shall not defoul the seed;

³⁸ soothly if any man sheddeth out the seed with water, and afterward the water is touched with dead bodies by themselves, it shall be defouled anon. (but if anyone poureth out the seed with water, and afterward the seed is touched by their dead bodies, at once it shall be defiled, or unclean.)

³⁹ If a beast is dead, which it is leaveful to you to eat, (or If a beast dieth naturally, which it is lawful for you to eat), he that toucheth the dead body thereof shall be unclean till to eventide;

³⁶ Sotheli wellis and cisternes, and al the congregacioun of watris, schal be clene. He that touchith her bodi deed bi it silf, schal be defoulid.

³⁷ If it fallith on seed, it schal not defoule the seed;

³⁸ sotheli if ony man schedith seed with watir, and aftirward the watir is touchid with deed bodies bi hem silf, it schal be defoulid anoon.

³⁹ If a beeste is deed, which it is leueful to you to ete, he that touchith the deed bodi therof schal be vnclene `til to euentid; and he that etith therof ony thing,

³⁶ 'Only — a fountain or pit, a collection of water, is clean, but that which is coming against their carcase is unclean;

³⁷ and when any of their carcase falleth on any sown seed which is sown — it is clean;

³⁸ and when water is put on the seed, and any of its carcase hath fallen on it — unclean it is to you.

³⁹ 'And when any of the beasts which are to you for food dieth, he who is coming against its carcase is unclean till the evening;
