3 Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that may ye eat.
4 Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that part the hoof: the camel, because he cheweth the cud but parteth not the hoof, he is unclean unto you.
5 And the coney, because he cheweth the cud but parteth not the hoof, he is unclean unto you.
6 And the hare, because she cheweth the cud but parteth not the hoof, she is unclean unto you.
7 And the swine, because he parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, but cheweth not the cud, he is unclean unto you.
8 Of their flesh ye shall not eat, and their carcasses ye shall not touch; they are unclean unto you.
9 These may ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, that may ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of all the living creatures that are in the waters, they are an abomination unto you,
11 and they shall be an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, and their carcasses ye shall have in abomination.
12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that is an abomination unto you.
13 And these ye shall have in abomination among the birds; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the gier-eagle, and the ospray,
14 and the kite, and the falcon after its kind,
15 every raven after its kind,
16 and the ostrich, and the night-hawk, and the sea-mew, and the hawk after its kind,
17 and the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
18 and the horned owl, and the pelican, and the vulture,
19 and the stork, the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.
20 All winged creeping things that go upon all fours are an abomination unto you.
21 Yet these may ye eat of all winged creeping things that go upon all fours, which have legs above their feet, wherewith to leap upon the earth;
22 even these of them ye may eat: the locust after its kind, and the bald locust after its kind, and the cricket after its kind, and the grasshopper after its kind.
23 But all winged creeping things, which have four feet, are an abomination unto you.
24 And by these ye shall become unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcass of them shall be unclean until the even;
25 and whosoever beareth aught of the carcass of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.
26 Every beast which parteth the hoof, and is not clovenfooted, nor cheweth the cud, is unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean.
27 And whatsoever goeth upon its paws, among all beasts that go on all fours, they are unclean unto you: whoso toucheth their carcass shall be unclean until the even.
28 And he that beareth the carcass of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: they are unclean unto you.
29 And these are they which are unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth: the weasel, and the mouse, and the great lizard after its kind,

5 And the rabbit, because it chews the cud, but does not divide the hoof, this is unclean to you.
6 And the hare, because it does not chew the cud, and does not divide the hoof, this is unclean to you.

8 Ye shall not eat of their flesh, and ye shall not touch their carcases; these are unclean to you.
9 And these are what ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all things that have fins and scales in the waters, and in the seas, and in the brooks, these ye shall eat.
10 And all things which have not fins or scales in the water, or in the seas, and in the brooks, of all which the waters produce, and of every soul living in the water, are an abomination; and they shall be abominations to you.

23 Every creeping thing from among the birds, which has four feet, is an abomination to you.
24 And by these ye shall be defiled; every one that touches their carcases shall be unclean till the evening.

3 The ones that have hooves that are completely split and that ◄chew their cuds/bring their food up from their stomachs to chew it again►.
4 There are some animals that chew their cuds but do not have split hooves, and some animals that have split hooves but do not chew their cuds. You must not eat any of those animals. For example, camels chew their cuds but do not have split hooves, so they are unacceptable for you to eat.
5 Rock badgers chew their cuds but do not have split hooves, so they are unacceptable for you to eat.
6 Rabbits chew their cuds but do not have split hooves, so they are unacceptable for you to eat.
7 Pigs have completely split hooves but they do not chew their cuds, so they are unacceptable for you to eat.
8 All of those animals are unacceptable for you, so you must not eat their meat or even touch their carcasses.
9 From all the creatures that live in the oceans and the streams, you are permitted to eat any that have fins and scales.
10 But you must detest and not eat those that do not have fins and scales. That includes ones that are very small.
11 You must despise them, and you must not eat their meat, and you must detest their carcasses.
12 You must detest everything that lives in the water that does not have fins and scales.
13 There are some birds that you must detest and not eat. They include eagles, bearded vultures, black vultures,
14 kites, any kind of falcon/buzzard,
15 any kind of raven,
16 horned owls, screech owls, seagulls, any kind of hawk,
17 small owls, cormorants, large owls,
18 white owls, desert owls, vultures that eat dead animals,
19 storks, any kind of heron, hoopoes, and bats.
20 You must detest and not eat flying insects that sometimes walk on the ground MTY.
21 But you are permitted to eat creatures with wings that sometimes walk on the ground if they have jointed legs for hopping around.
22 They include locusts, crickets, and grasshoppers.
23 But you must detest and not eat other insects with wings that have four legs.
24 There are certain creatures that if you touch their carcasses you will become defiled. Anyone who touches their carcasses must not touch other people until that evening.
25 Anyone who picks up one of their carcasses must wash his clothes and not touch other people until that evening.
26 The animals whose carcasses you must not touch are those that have hooves that are not completely divided or animals that do not chew their cuds. Anyone who touches the carcasses of any of those animals becomes ◄defiled/unacceptable to me►.
27 From all the animals that walk on the ground, you must not touch the carcasses of those that have paws to walk on. Anyone who touches one of their carcasses must not touch other people until that evening.
28 Anyone who picks up one of their carcasses must wash his clothes and not touch other people until that evening, because touching their carcasses ◄defiles you/causes you to become unacceptable to me►.
29 From all the animals that walk on the ground, these are the ones that ◄defile you/cause you to become unacceptable to me► if you touch them: Moles, rats, any kind of lizard,

Leviticus 11:3-29 in Bible in Basic English

3 You may have as food any beast which has a division in the horn of its foot, and whose food comes back into its mouth to be crushed again.
4 But, at the same time, of those beasts, you may not take for food the camel, because its food comes back but the horn of its foot is not parted in two; it is unclean to you.
5 And the rock-badger, for the same reason, is unclean to you.
6 And the hare, because the horn of its foot is not parted in two, is unclean to you.
7 And the pig is unclean to you, because though the horn of its foot is parted, its food does not come back.
8 Their flesh may not be used for food, and their dead bodies may not even be touched; they are unclean to you.
9 These you may have for food of all things living in the water: anything living in the water, in the seas or rivers, which has special parts for swimming and skin formed of thin plates, may be used for food.
10 All other things living and moving in the water, in the sea or in the rivers, are a disgusting thing to you;
11 They may not be used for food, and their dead bodies are disgusting to you.
12 Anything in the water which has no special parts for swimming and no thin plates on its skin is disgusting to you.
13 And among birds these are to be disgusting to you, and not to be used for food: the eagle and the gier-eagle and the ospray;
14 And the kite and the falcon, and birds of that sort;
15 Every raven, and birds of that sort;
16 And the ostrich and the night-hawk and the sea-hawk, and birds of that sort;
17 And the little owl and the cormorant and the great owl;
18 And the water-hen and the pelican and the vulture;
19 The stork and the heron, and birds of that sort, and the hoopoe and the bat.
20 Every winged four-footed thing which goes on the earth is disgusting to you;
21 But of the winged four-footed things, those which have long legs for jumping on the earth you may have for food;
22 Such as all the different sorts of locust.
23 But all other winged four-footed things which go on the earth are disgusting to you.
24 By these you will be made unclean; anyone touching their dead bodies will be unclean till evening:
25 Whoever takes away the dead body of one of them is to have his clothing washed, and will be unclean till evening.
26 Every beast, in the horn of whose foot there is not a complete division, and whose food does not come back, is unclean to you: anyone touching one of these will be unclean.
27 Any four-footed beast which goes on the ball of its foot, is unclean to you: anyone touching the dead body of one of these will be unclean till evening.
28 Anyone who takes away the dead body of one of these is to have his clothing washed and be unclean till evening.
29 And these are unclean to you among things which go low down on the earth; the weasel and the mouse and the great lizard, and animals of that sort;

3 Whatever hath cloven hoofs, and feet quite split open, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts — that shall ye eat.
4 Only these shall ye not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those with cloven hoofs: the camel, for it cheweth the cud, but hath not cloven hoofs — it shall be unclean unto you;
5 and the rock-badger, for it cheweth the cud, but hath not cloven hoofs — it shall be unclean unto you;
6 and the hare, for it cheweth the cud, but hath not cloven hoofs — it shall be unclean unto you;
7 and the swine, for it hath cloven hoofs, and feet quite split open, but it cheweth not the cud — it shall be unclean unto you.
8 Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch: they shall be unclean unto you.
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatever hath fins and scales in waters, in seas and in rivers, these shall ye eat;
10 but all that have not fins and scales in seas and in rivers, of all that swarm in the waters, and of every living soul which is in the waters — they shall be an abomination unto you.
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you: of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase ye shall have in abomination.
12 Whatever in the waters hath no fins and scales, that shall be an abomination unto you.
13 And these shall ye have in abomination of the fowls; they shall not be eaten; an abomination shall they be: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the sea-eagle,

15 every raven after its kind;
16 and the female ostrich and the male ostrich, and the sea-gull, and the hawk, after its kind;

18 and the swan, and the pelican, and the carrion vulture,
19 and the stork; the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.
20 Every winged crawling thing that goeth upon all four shall be an abomination unto you.
21 Yet these shall ye eat of every winged crawling thing that goeth upon all four: those which have legs above their feet with which to leap upon the earth.
22 These shall ye eat of them: the arbeh after its kind, and the solam after its kind, and the hargol after its kind, and the hargab after its kind.
23 But every winged crawling thing that hath four feet shall be an abomination unto you.
24 And by these ye shall make yourselves unclean; whoever toucheth their carcase shall be unclean until the even.
25 And whoever carrieth ought of their carcase shall wash his garments, and be unclean until the even.
26 Every beast that hath cloven hoofs, but not feet quite split open, nor cheweth the cud, shall be unclean unto you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean.
27 And whatever goeth on its paws, among all manner of beasts that go upon all four, those are unclean unto you: whoever toucheth their carcase shall be unclean until the even.
28 And he that carrieth their carcase shall wash his garments, and be unclean until the even: they shall be unclean unto you.
29 And these shall be unclean unto you among the crawling things which crawl on the earth: the mole, and the field-mouse, and the lizard, after its kind;

3 Whatsoever hath the hoof divided, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, you shall eat.
4 But whatsoever cheweth indeed the cud, and hath a hoof, but divideth it not, as the camel, and others, that you shall not eat, but shall reckon it among the unclean.
5 The cherogrillus which cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof, is unclean.
6 The hare also: for that too cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof.
7 And the swine, which, though it divideth the hoof, cheweth not the cud.
8 The flesh of these you shall not eat, nor shall you touch their carcasses, because they are unclean to you.
9 These are the things that breed in the waters, and which it is lawful to eat. All that hath fins, and scales, as well in the sea, as in the rivers, and the pools, you shall eat.
10 But whatsoever hath not fins and scales, of those things that move and live in the waters, shall be an abomination to you,
11 And detestable: their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall avoid.
12 All that have not fins and scales, in the waters, shall be unclean.
13 Of birds these are they which you must not eat, and which are to be avoided by you: The eagle, and the griffon, and the osprey,
14 And the kite, and the vulture, according to their kind,
15 And all that is of the raven kind, according to their likeness.
16 The ostrich, and the owl, and the larus, and the hawk according to its kind.
17 The screech owl, and the cormorant, and the ibis,
18 And the swan, and the bittern, and the porphyrion,
19 The heron, and the charadrion according to its kind, the houp also, and the bat.
20 Of things that fly, whatsoever goeth upon four feet, shall be abominable to you.
21 But whatsoever walketh upon four feet, but hath the legs behind longer, wherewith it hoppeth upon the earth,
22 That you shall eat, as the bruchus in its kind, the attacus, and ophiomachus, and the locust, every one according to their kind.
23 But of dying things whatsoever hath four feet only, shall be an abomination to you:
24 And whosoever shall touch the carcasses of them, shall be defiled, and shall be unclean until the evening:
25 And if it be necessary that he carry any of these things when they are dead, he shall wash his clothes, and shall be unclean until the sun set.
26 Every beast that hath a hoof, but divideth it not, nor cheweth the cud, shall be unclean: and he that toucheth it, shall be defiled.
27 That which walketh upon hands of all animals which go on all four, shall be unclean: he that shall touch their carcasses shall be defiled until evening.
28 And he that shall carry such carcasses, shall wash his clothes, and shall be unclean until evening: because all these things are unclean to you.
29 These also shall be reckoned among unclean things, of all that move upon the earth, the weasel, and the mouse, and the crocodile, every one according to their kind:

3 any animal that both has a divided hoof and also chews the cud.
4 However, if it either chews the cud, or has a divided hoof, then you may not eat it. These include: the camel, which though it chews the cud doesn't have a divided hoof, so it is unclean for you.
5 The rock hyrax, which though it chews the cud doesn't have a divided hoof, so it is unclean for you.
6 The hare, which though it chews the cud doesn't have a divided hoof, so it is unclean for you.
7 The pig, which though it has a divided hoof doesn't chew the cud, so it is unclean for you.
8 You are not to eat their meat or touch their bead bodies. They are unclean for you.
9 You are allowed to eat any creature with fins and scales that lives in the water, whether in the sea or in fresh water.
10 But you are not allowed to eat any of the many creatures that don't have fins and scales that live in the water, whether in the sea or in fresh water.
11 They are repulsive. You must not eat their meat, and you must treat their dead bodies as repulsive.

20 All flying insects that crawl are repulsive to you.

22 So in this category you can eat any kind of locust, bald locust, cricket, or grasshopper.

Leviticus 11:3-29 in Updated Brenton English Septuagint

3 Every beast parting the hoof and making divisions of two claws, and chewing the cud among beasts, these ye shall eat.
4 But of these ye shall not eat, of those that chew the cud, and of those that part the hoofs, and divide claws; the camel, because it chews the cud, but does not divide the hoof, this is unclean to you.
5 And the rabbit, because it chews the cud, but does not divide the hoof, this is unclean to you.
6 And the hare, because it does not chew the cud, and does not divide the hoof, this is unclean to you.
7 And the swine, because this animal divides the hoof, and makes claws of the hoof, and it does not chew the cud, is unclean to you.
8 Ye shall not eat of their flesh, and ye shall not touch their carcasses; these are unclean to you.
11 Ye shall not eat of their flesh, and ye shall abhor their carcasses.
12 And all things that have not fins or scales of those that are in the waters, these are an abomination to you.
13 And these are the things which ye shall abhor of birds, and they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle and the ossifrage, and the sea eagle.
14 And the vulture, and the kite, and the like to it;
15 and the sparrow, and the owl, and the sea mew, and the like to it:
16 and every raven, and the birds like it, and the hawk and his like,
17 and the night raven and the cormorant and the stork,
18 and the redbill, and pelican, and swan,
19 and the heron, and the lapwing, and the like to it, and the hoopoe and the bat.
20 And all winged creatures that creep, which go upon four feet, are abominations to you.
21 But these ye shall eat of the creeping winged animals, which go upon four feet, which have legs above their feet, to leap with on the earth.
22 And these of them ye shall eat: the caterpillar and his like, and the attacus and his like, and the cantharus and his like, and the locust and his like.
23 Every creeping thing from among the birds, which has four feet, is an abomination to you.
24 And by these ye shall be defiled; everyone that touches their carcasses shall be unclean till the evening.
25 And every one that takes of their dead bodies shall wash his garments, and shall be unclean till the evening.
26 And whichever among the beasts divides the hoof and makes claws, and does not chew the cud, shall be unclean to you; everyone that touches their dead bodies shall be unclean till evening.
27 And every one among all the wild beasts that moves upon its fore feet, which goes on all four, is unclean to you; everyone that touches their dead bodies shall be unclean till evening.
28 And he that takes of their dead bodies shall wash his garments, and shall be unclean till evening: these are unclean to you.

3 You may eat any animal that has a split hoof and that also chews the cud.
4 However, some animals either chew the cud or have a split hoof, and you must not eat them, animals such as the camel, because it chews the cud but does not have a split hoof. So the camel is unclean to you.
5 Also the rock badger, because it chews the cud but does not have a split hoof, it is also unclean to you.
6 The rabbit, because it chews the cud, but does not have a split hoof, is unclean to you.
7 The pig, although it has a split hoof, does not chew the cud, is unclean to you.
8 You must not eat any of their meat, nor touch their carcasses. They are unclean to you.
9 The animals living in the water that you may eat are all those that have fins and scales, whether in the ocean or in the rivers.

26 Every animal which has a split hoof that is not completely divided or which does not chew the cud is unclean to you. Everyone who touches them will be unclean.
27 Whatever walks on its paws among all the animals that walk on all four legs, they are unclean to you. Whoever touches such a carcass will be unclean until the evening.
28 Whoever picks up such a carcass must wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening. These animals will be unclean to you.

3 ye shall eat all things among beasts that have the claw parted, and cheweth the cud;
4 soothly whatever thing cheweth cud, and hath a claw, but parteth not it, as a camel, and other beasts, ye shall not eat it, and ye shall areckon it among unclean things.
5 A coney, which cheweth cud, and parteth not the claw, is unclean;
6 and an hare, for also he cheweth cud, but parteth not the claw;
7 and a swine, that cheweth not the cud, though he parteth the claw.
8 Ye shall not eat the flesh of these beasts, neither ye shall touch their dead bodies, for those or they be unclean to you.
9 Also these things be that be engendered in waters, and it is leaveful to eat; ye shall eat all things that have fins and scales, as well in the sea, as in the fresh floods, and standing waters;
10 soothly whatever thing of them that be moved and live in waters, hath not fins and scales, shall be abominable, and loathsome to you;
11 and ye shall not eat the flesh of those or them, and ye shall eschew their bodies dead by themselves.
12 All things in the waters that have not fins and scales, shall be polluted.
13 These things be of fowls which ye shall not eat, and shall be eschewed or shunned of you; an eagle, and a gripe, and an aliet,
14 and a kite, and a vulture by his kind;
15 and all the kind of ravens by his likeness;
16 a struthio, and a night crow, and a lari, or a coot, and a hawk by his kind;

18 a swan, and a cormorant, and a pelican;
19 a falcon, and a jay by his kind; and a lapwing, and a rearmouse, or a bat.
20 All thing of fowls or insects that goeth on four feet, shall be abominable to you;
21 soothly whatever thing goeth on four feet, but hath longer hips behind, by which it skippeth on the earth, ye shall eat;
22 as is a bruchus, that is, the fruit of locusts before it hath wings, in his kind, and accatus, that is, the fruit of locusts when it beginneth to have wings, and ophimachus, that is, a foul enemy to serpents, and a locust, all by their kind.

Leviticus 11:3-29 in Young's Literal Translation

3 any dividing a hoof, and cleaving the cleft of the hoofs, bringing up the cud, among the beasts, it ye do eat.
4 'Only, this ye do not eat — of those bringing up the cud, and of those dividing the hoof — the camel, though it is bringing up the cud, yet the hoof not dividing — it is unclean to you;
5 and the rabbit, though it is bringing up the cud, yet the hoof it divideth not — unclean it is to you;
6 and the hare, though it is bringing up the cud, yet the hoof hath not divided — unclean it is to you;
7 and the sow, though it is dividing the hoof, and cleaving the cleft of the hoof, yet the cud it bringeth not up — unclean it is to you.
8 'Of their flesh ye do not eat, and against their carcase ye do not come — unclean they are to you.
9 'This ye do eat of all which are in the waters; any one that hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the brooks, them ye do eat;
10 and any one that hath not fins and scales in the seas, and in the brooks, of any teeming creature of the waters, and of any creature which liveth, which is in the waters — an abomination they are to you;
11 yea, an abomination they are to you; of their flesh ye do not eat, and their carcase ye abominate.
12 'Any one that hath not fins and scales in the waters — an abomination it is to you.
13 'And these ye do abominate of the fowl; they are not eaten, an abomination they are: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
14 and the vulture, and the kite after its kind,
15 every raven after its kind,
16 and the owl, and the night-hawk, and the cuckoo, and the hawk after its kind,
17 and the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,
18 and the swan, and the pelican, and the gier eagle,
19 and the stork, the heron after its kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
20 'Every teeming creature which is flying, which is going on four — an abomination it is to you.
21 'Only — this ye do eat of any teeming thing which is flying, which is going on four, which hath legs above its feet, to move with them on the earth;
22 these of them ye do eat: the locust after its kind, and the bald locust after its kind, and the beetle after its kind, and the grasshopper after its kind;
23 and every teeming thing which is flying, which hath four feet — an abomination it is to you.
24 'And by these ye are made unclean, any one who is coming against their carcase is unclean till the evening;
25 and anyone who is lifting up aught of their carcase doth wash his garments, and hath been unclean till the evening: —
26 even every beast which is dividing the hoof, and is not cloven-footed, and the cud is not bringing up — unclean they are to you; any one who is coming against them is unclean.
27 'And any one going on its paws, among all the beasts which are going on four — unclean they are to you; any one who is coming against their carcase is unclean until the evening;
28 and he who is lifting up their carcase doth wash his garments, and hath been unclean until the evening — unclean they are to you.
29 'And this is to you the unclean among the teeming things which are teeming on the earth: the weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise after its kind,
