¹³ And these ye shall have in abomination among the birds; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the gier-eagle, and the ospray,

¹⁴ and the kite, and the falcon after its kind,

¹⁵ every raven after its kind,

¹⁶ and the ostrich, and the night-hawk, and the sea-mew, and the hawk after its kind,

¹⁷ and the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,

¹⁸ and the horned owl, and the pelican, and the vulture,

¹⁹ and the stork, the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.

¹³ And these are the things which ye shall abhor of birds, and they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle and the ossifrage, and the sea-eagle.

¹⁴ And the vulture, and the kite, and the like to it;

¹⁵ and the sparrow, and the owl, and the sea-mew, and the like to it:

¹⁶ and every raven, and the birds like it, and the hawk and his like,

¹⁷ and the night-raven and the cormorant and the stork,

¹⁸ and the red-bill, and pelican, and swan,

¹⁹ and the heron, and the lapwing, and the like to it, and the hoopoe and the bat.

¹³ There are some birds that you must detest and not eat. They include eagles, bearded vultures, black vultures,

¹⁴ kites, any kind of falcon/buzzard,

¹⁵ any kind of raven,

¹⁶ horned owls, screech owls, seagulls, any kind of hawk,

¹⁷ small owls, cormorants, large owls,

¹⁸ white owls, desert owls, vultures that eat dead animals,

¹⁹ storks, any kind of heron, hoopoes, and bats.

¹³ And these are the things which you° shall abhor of birds, and they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle and the ossifrage, and the sea-eagle.

¹⁴ And the vulture, and the kite, and the like to it;

¹³ And among birds these are to be disgusting to you, and not to be used for food: the eagle and the gier-eagle and the ospray;

¹⁴ And the kite and the falcon, and birds of that sort;

¹⁵ Every raven, and birds of that sort;

¹⁶ And the ostrich and the night-hawk and the sea-hawk, and birds of that sort;

¹⁷ And the little owl and the cormorant and the great owl;

¹⁸ And the water-hen and the pelican and the vulture;

¹⁹ The stork and the heron, and birds of that sort, and the hoopoe and the bat.

¹³ And these shall ye have in abomination of the fowls; they shall not be eaten; an abomination shall they be: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the sea-eagle,

¹⁴ and the falcon, and the kite, after its kind;

¹⁵ every raven after its kind;

¹⁶ and the female ostrich and the male ostrich, and the sea-gull, and the hawk, after its kind;

¹⁷ and the owl, and the gannet, and the ibis,

¹⁸ and the swan, and the pelican, and the carrion vulture,

¹⁹ and the stork; the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.

¹³ Of birds these are they which you must not eat, and which are to be avoided by you: The eagle, and the griffon, and the osprey,

¹⁴ And the kite, and the vulture, according to their kind,

¹⁵ And all that is of the raven kind, according to their likeness.

¹⁶ The ostrich, and the owl, and the larus, and the hawk according to its kind.

¹⁷ The screech owl, and the cormorant, and the ibis,

¹⁸ And the swan, and the bittern, and the porphyrion,

¹⁹ The heron, and the charadrion according to its kind, the houp also, and the bat.

¹³ As for the birds, these must not be eaten because they are repulsive: eagle, griffon vulture, bearded vulture,

¹⁴ buzzard, kite and similar birds of prey,

¹⁵ any raven or crow,

¹⁶ tawny owl, long-eared owl, gulls, any kind of hawk,

¹⁷ little owl, fish owl, eagle owl,

¹⁸ barn owl, desert owl, Egyptian vulture,

¹⁹ storks and any kind of heron, hoopoe, and bats.

¹³ These shall ye haue also in abomination among the foules, they shall not be eaten: for they are an abomination, the eagle, and the goshauke, and the osprey:

¹⁴ Also the vultur, and the kite after his kinde,

¹⁵ And all rauens after their kinde:

¹⁶ The ostrich also, and the night crowe, and the seameaw, and the hauke after his kinde:

¹⁷ The litle owle also, and the connorant, and the great owle.

¹⁸ Also the redshanke and the pelicane, and the swanne:

¹⁹ The storke also, the heron after his kinde, and the lapwing, and the backe:

¹³ And these ye shall have in detestation among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are a detestable thing: the great vulture, and the bearded vulture, and the ospray;

¹⁴ and the kite, and the falcon after its kinds;

¹⁵ every raven after its kinds;

¹⁶ and the ostrich, and the night-hawk, and the sea-mew, and the hawk after its kinds;

¹⁷ and the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl;

¹⁸ and the horned owl, and the pelican, and the carrion-vulture;

¹⁹ and the stork, and the heron after its kinds, and the hoopoe, and the bat.

¹⁷ And the owl, and the diver for fish, and the ibis,

¹⁸ and the swan, and the green bird,

¹⁹ and the stork, and the pica, after his kind, and the moorcock, and the bat.

¹³ “‘These you shall detest among the birds; they shall not be eaten, they are detestable: the eagle, and the vulture, and the black vulture,

¹⁴ and the red kite, any kind of black kite,

¹⁵ any kind of raven,

¹⁶ the horned owl, the screech owl, and the gull, any kind of hawk,

¹⁷ the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl,

¹⁸ the white owl, the desert owl, the osprey,

¹⁹ the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe, and the bat.

¹⁴ and a kite, and a vulture by his kind;

¹⁵ and all the kind of ravens by his likeness;

¹⁶ a struthio, and a night crow, and a lari, or a coot, and a hawk by his kind;

¹⁷ an owl, and a dipper, and ciconia;

¹⁸ a swan, and a cormorant, and a pelican;

¹⁹ a falcon, and a jay by his kind; and a lapwing, and a rearmouse, or a bat.

¹³ These things be of (the) fowls which ye shall not eat, and shall be eschewed of you (or and shall be shunned by you); an eagle, and a gripe, and an aliet,

¹⁴ and a kite, and a vulture by his kind;

¹⁵ and all the kind of ravens by his likeness;

¹⁶ a struthio, and a night crow, and a lari, or a coot, and a hawk by his kind;

¹⁷ an owl, and a dipper (or and a divedapper), and (a) ciconia;

¹⁸ a swan, and a cormorant, and a pelican;

¹⁹ a falcon, and a jay by his kind; and a lapwing, and a rearmouse, or a bat.

¹³ These thingis ben of foulis whiche ye schulen not ete, and schulen be eschewid of you; an egle, and a grippe, aliete, and a kyte, and a vultur by his kynde;

¹⁴ and al of `rauyns kynde bi his licnesse;

¹⁵ a strucioun,

¹⁶ and nyyt crowe, a lare, and an hauke bi his kinde;

¹⁷ an owle, and dippere, and ibis ;

¹⁸ a swan and cormoraunt, and a pellican;

¹⁹ a fawcun, a iay bi his kynde; a leepwynke, and a reremows.
